Still waiting for the new Satellite U840T-102

We sent the laptop in the subject to support Toshiba in Italy on 5 May. File n. 73040100. After a few emails June 20, we received the proposal to change the product and sending us a new.

We have NOTHING yet. Our clientele is more waiting for two months for a WARRANTY SERVICE.

Is this right? It is the policy of TOSHIBA?
CAN WE HAVE A CERTAIN DATE?

It s always pity if the laptop is not working properly and if something needs to be replaced.

I think there is a reason for the delay and I recommend you contact the ASP in Italy once more in order to clarify this matter.

  • Tecra M3 or get overheated - need to wait for the new motherboard

    My Tecra M3 (serial number X5621357G) fan started working at maximum speed in November.
    Technical support Toshiba in Greece kept for repair of 26 November 2007 to 14 December 2007.

    They changed the motherboard and the fan. After this repair, the fan started working again at maximum speed and immediately after that the computer has been 'frozen getting' (has stopped working - had to pull the power cable to restart).

    Toshiba service asked me to reinstall Windows, but this doesn't solve the problem.
    Took the computer back to ASP on December 24, 2007. Now, they say that it is still a hardware problem and they have to wait for a new motherboard. It will be available on January 7, 2008!
    I don't have a laptop for over a month.

    Really, I can understand your frustration and it s always a stupid situation if any equipment malfunctioning, and if certain parts need to be replaced.

    I guess you have to wait a little bit more because the motherboard seems to be on hand and must be provided of the warehouse of head of Toshiba.
    Extra, you should consider that you sent it to EPA on December 24, 2007 and as I m not wrong most companies and service points are closed for Christmas

    I just bought a download to update Windows 7 Starter in the home edition, so I might want DVD on my Dell netbook.  The Microsoft app site said I would receive an email with the key code to download this.  I've been waiting over 2 hours now and still have not received the news.  Is this normal?     Anyone know if there is any support for this laptop? It is A 220 Satellite and I can't find anything anywhere on this site. Its seems a bit poor to see that there is no support at the moment.

    Has anyone else has this same problem with A computer series laptop when they first bought one? I'm curious!

    A few months ago, the same was written by A200 users and now the support is there. It's just time counter and I think that support for laptops made before your must be completed.

    Hello I have an alien ware m18x and spent a lot of money on this laptop. I liked from the start, but not even a year after the motherboard came out no problem my warranty covered. Welcome to 5-6 months later my warranty has expired and bam the motherboard went out to new same problem than before. It happened in mid-term for the College so I called the guy and a week later was able to pay and send my laptop.

    now, this is where I am getting very angry with dell. When I sent that far they told me 7-10 working days although we are on day 20 now and nothing has been done with this laptop. Let's start in the order of all the stuff that has happened since you guys my laptop.

    1. I sent the laptop to you guys, but it took 2 days for the depo to sign for it.

    2. the depo began working on it and then 5 seconds later put a shim of payment by saying that I did not pay $430. It took about 3-4 days of calling me support and begging them to tell the depo I paid and even provide my payment number.

    3. have you called agents support so many times to ask what is the hold up because the depo never updates the link, they sent me in email. officers tell me to wait and just check the link.

    4 depo puts a wedge of parts which took more than 2 weeks to find just that part. I'm always told that they do not always have a part.  Nobody sews really to find out what is happening right now.

    honestly, I regret spending crazy amount of money I did on this mobile no only I'm still waiting for some news as to when its going to be fixed, but this delay destroyed my college this semester. I have finals in 2 weeks, I also have my review of certification compIT in 3 weeks all the stuff that I need are in the computer including all my papers. I am begging you guys just get my laptop fixed or ask someone who speaks English actually could you tell me what is happening.

    Two common reasons is firewall or DNS problems.

    Disable the local firewall and make sure nameresolution works in two ways.

    Apple has specifically discourages discussions on these forums about what and when the new products will be introduced and what changes there may be.

    The best advice is, what your needs are and this current model meets the.  If so, buy it, if not, don't buy it.   My observation of past changes in the introduction of new models is that the changes are incremental, not radical.  My primary MBP is a 2011 model (with 16 GB of RAM and an SSD hard drive) and I still do not feel outclassed by the current culture.
