  I put Windows XP on my PC instead of Windows 7. I installed so I thought that all the correct drivers but my TV does not recognize a connection when you use an HDMI cable to watch movies via my laptop.   There are few things mingle here:

  1. the webtop is initiated when the Atrix is connected to the HD multimedia dock and the dock is connected to the TV via HD.

  2. the webtop includes the full version of Firefox running a customized version of Ubuntu

  By default the Vista transmits no sound on HDMI output.  To change this to change the settings in the control panel.

  Note: This will turn off sound from speakers or normal audio output on the laptop.  To get that back, you will need to reverse this process.

  Here's the thing...

  1 when I bought the hdmi cable I just plugged on ports on my computer, television and he worked, video and audio... didn't have to configure anything at all.
