Store Art HDD is not recognized by LG TV

Hello

I bought this hard drive:
External drive HARD Toshiba StorE-Art500GB, 500GB, 5400rmp, 3.5-inch, USB 2.0

after purchase I plugged on my lg lcd tv and it worked without problem.
I unplugged it the TV to connect to my computer and put a few multimedia, reconnected to the tv, it worked again, but after awhile the tv refuses to connect to the hard drive.

the hard drive is allowed when it is connected to a computer or other devices with port usb and other usb storage devices connect ok on tv.

do you have any suggestions? I formatted the hard disk several times, but without success. is it possible that I can restore the factory settings on this hard drive, or is there anything else I can do?

also, I think that there is a kind of stand-by function, because from time to time, I hear she's going "beep" and when I try to open a file from it, I heard it start to turn again, and it displays the file.

Hello

The HARD drive seems to work in relation to other computers, but it refuses to work only with the TV. Is this good?

Well, what to say I recommend checking out the LG page for some firmware updates you can also consult the USP port options in the settings of your TV system
I put t know if these parameters are available or not, but I think you should check it out.

You could also format the HARD drive again and can store multimedia files again on the HARD disk in some cases new format can be useful

What error you get exactly on Windows 7 on this external HARD drive?

Normally you n t need any additional driver for external hard drives. What is the external HARD disk listed in Windows disk management?

What version of Windows 7 are you using exactly? I would recommend the updates of Windows.

  • HDD USB not recognized as "physical1" when creating the new virtual machine

    Hi all

I wanted to create a new virtual machine, and I wanted to use my USB as a physical drive.

But Workstation shows me "physical0" which is of course my drive internal.

I tried USB pen drives. They are not recognized either.

This somehow is no longer supported? I would have that it would be possible to use USB external HDD as the physical drive to a new virtual machine.

    you have installed VirtualBox?

If so, you can try to use the virtuaklbox command line tool to create a descriptor of rawdisk for this disc.

say diskpart on this drive? -It is "online"?

  • Installation of XP Prof on Tecra A9 PTS52E - SATA HDD is not recognized

    Hi all

I have a "nine" Tecra A9 (PTS52E) with Vista Business installed. However, I need XP Prof and a CD of XP - SP2 slipstreamed. The SATA drive is not recognized XP installation, so I need a driver of "F6."

There are a lot of howtos on this for the 945 chipset, but I couldn't solve this problem on my A9 (Mobile 965 Express Chipset). I don't want to buy a USB floppy for one-time-installation drive. So I have to build the driver (iastor.sys and more) in the XP installation disc.

A few problems: there seems to be no easy way to do this, because intel only provides files *.inf for the ICH8R (RAID =) controller, which does not exist in the A9. So I have to change the *.inf files, correct?

Another thing: I saw in an another post here the discussion on switching to AHCI in the BIOS in compatibility mode. I can't find a way to change this setting.

Aargh, I need this laptop for my work on an A8 (which is also mine), I installed XP without any problem.

    Can anyone help?

    Thank you

  • 20 GB of HDD is not recognized by Tecra 8100

    Hello
I just got this laptop Tecra 8100 and I am trying to upgrade its 12 GB with a 20 GB hard drive, a. I formatted the drive of 20 GB of my office using a portable USB Caddy before putting it in the laptop.
When I boot up to install XP, and before she starts copying the installation files, it will give an error message telling me that no player has been found and restart.

Any idea how do I get the new drive recognized?

    Thank you

    Hello

I discovered that Tecra 8100 supports only the 6 GB (9.5 mm thick), 12 GB (9.5 mm thick) and 18 GB hard drives (12.7 mm thick).
It seems that the 20 GB HARD drive is too big and so the BIOS does not recognize the HARD drive and you can not install the operating system.

Unfortunately, there is nothing to see.

PS: You can try to update the BISO but I put t I think this will help.

  • Data store 6.0 VMWare not recognized after the last batch of hotfixes installed on HP custom image

    Hello guys,.

    Maybe you can help me:

    I installed VMWare 6.0 on a server HP ML350 G9 with image OEM offered custom HP, ESXi - 6.0.0 - 2494585-HP - 600.9.3.30.2.

    This works perfectly.

Now I am trying to apply the latest available official patch (ESXi600-201507001), but it seems to kill some important VIB

    VIBs installed: VMware_bootbank_esx - base_6.0.0 - 0.11.2809209, VMware_bootbank_lsu-lsi-lsi-mr3-plugin_1.0.0-2vmw.600.0.11.2809209, VMware_bootbank_lsu-lsi-megaraid-sas-plugin_1.0.0-2vmw.600.0.11.2809209, VMware_bootbank_misc - drivers_6.0.0 - 0.11.2809209, VMware_bootbank_sata - ahci_3.0 - 21vmw.600.0.11.2809209, VMware_bootbank_scsi - hpsa_6.0.0.44 - 4vmw.600.0.0.2494585, VMware_bootbank_scsi - mpt2sas_19.00.00.00 - 1vmw.600.0.0.2494585

    VIBs deleted: Hewlett-Packard_bootbank_scsi - hpsa_5.5.0.106-1OEM.550.0.0.1331820, LSI_bootbank_scsi - mpt2sas_15.10.06.00.1vmw - 1OEM.550.0.0.1198610, VMware_bootbank_esx - base_6.0.0 - 0.0.2494585, VMware_bootbank_lsu-lsi-lsi-mr3-plugin_1.0.0-1vmw.600.0.0.2494585, VMware_bootbank_lsu-lsi-megaraid-sas-plugin_1.0.0-1vmw.600.0.0.2494585, VMware_bootbank_misc - drivers_6.0.0 - 0.0.2494585, VMware_bootbank_sata - ahci_3.0 - 21vmw.600.0.0.2494585

The next time I reboot the server, the data store is not available, no more and I have to do a restore. I suspect that the new bootbank_hpsa is the origin of the problem.

So, how to install the latest patch without losing the data store connectivity?

    Thank you

What should work, is to download the latest driver hpsa in the/hpq/latest/esxi-600-devicedrivers Indexand install it just after the connection of the host (prior to restart it). The .zip file contains a bundle off line as well as the .vib file.

  • Personal Media Drive (HDD) is not recognized in HP xb4 Docking Station laptop with HDX 18i

    Hello:

This is my first post since obtaining these three pieces of equipment.

a lot of problems with my new laptop and separate hard drive docking station.

But this one is the most annoying:

my HP Personal Media Drive HD10000x slips into a Bay (specifically for these players) on my xb4 docking station.

Connected to the docking station is my laptop, a HDX18.

Everything works very well between the laptop and docking station, except the HARD drive: it lights not or anything when you slide into the dock media Bay.

This is supposed to be 'hot-swapable' and everything, but it is just dead.    It's new, but I hate to send it back (at my expense) if there is another problem here.

    If someone has encountered this?

    Help, please!

    Thank you

You need to connect the power adapter to the personal media player - at the back of the dock XB4, next to where sits the personal media player.  So there are two adapters CA / CC plugged into the XB4.

  • Re: Toshiba Store Art Exteranal 320 HARD drive not recognized

    Hello

I have a problem with my 320 GB Toshiba Store Art HDD Exteranal.
I bought it a week ago and everything worked well on different systems: Win 7 (64), Vista (32), XP Pro.
But today when I tried to use it it displays a message that * unrecognized device * and it cannot install the driver for this device.

Unfortunately there are no drivers to download for this device drivers Toshiba page.
I checked it on Win 7 (64) and Vista (32) - same problem.
I remember, the last time that I used it was on XP Pro.

I checked the internet for a solution, but in the end I had to write a message here.

    Hope for more help.

    > I bought a week ago and everything worked well on different systems: Win 7 (64), Vista (32), XP Pro.
    > But today when I tried to use it it displays a message this device not recognized and it cannot install the driver for this device.

If the HARD drive worked perfectly in the past without the use of drivers, then I guess that this has nothing to do with a missing driver.

In your case I would recommend to check and test the HARD disk on another computer/laptop running a Win XP or Vista.

If the drive HARD wouldn't connect and would not be functioning with the help of other computers, then a hardware problem is possible

PS: this external USB hard drives are Plug & Play compatible and so a pilot should not be necessary!

  • TOSHIBA StorE Art 2 TB external hard drive not recognized by HP Elite /Win7

I have a new HP Elite desktop computer running Windows 7 Home Edition:
A few months ago, I bought a Toshiba Store Art HDD Ext 2 to, which until today has worked well. Today, I started the PC in the morning (with no updates of Windows or other software) to find that he would recognize is no longer the Toshiba hard drive. He always recognizes the WD drives and SimpleTech drives when they are plugged. All external drives are powered separately and do not rely on the power of USB.

I tried the Art Store on other PC and it works fine. I tried to change the cables, the cable works on other players (and other cables will not do this work of Art store). I tried several ports USB 2 on the PC, with no luck * (but all the ports work with other readers).

I try verified Drvivers of COMPUTERS and MANAGING disks. There is no sign of the disk (not defective disc), it is simply not there at all.

I searched on the web - try a variety of techniques (disconnect the power PC) and much more. No luck.

    PC specifications are:

  • Store TV 2 to - HDD not recognized in Windows 7

My camera 2 TB store TV is no longer recognized by Windows 7.

I went into Device Manager and the device is listed as "Unknown".
So, in the device Mgr I uninstalled / reinstalled but still no joy.

I think that the problem is a corrupted driver.

I searched the Toshiba site and cannot find a driver for the device.
Anyone know where I can get one?

    Hello

This HARD drive is a Plug n Play device, which means that additional drivers aren t necessary.

Have you checked all USB ports?

This HARD disk can be connected directly to the TV via HDMI.
    It work?

  • Toshiba Store Art 4 USB 3.0 1 TB works not with USB3.0 or USB 2.0 port

    Hello
I have a big problem with my external hard drive and I hope someone can help me.

    Here's the thing:

I used my external drive only on computers that don't have any port usb 3 and all worked well. The drive has been used only with usb ports 2.

Now, I got a computer with a usb port 3 and I was happy to be able to use my external hard drive at full speed.
Has been fine until I wanted to transfer a file using my drive.

The disc has been recognized either of usb ports 2. The NTFS partition is a partition BRUTE! I had to ' chkdisk/f G:' to make it work again on my usb ports 2. And some files were missing!

Then, back on my other computer (usb port 3), the contents were not the same! I mean some of the files that I deleted when it is plugged into usb 2 returned when plugged usb ion 3! And then, back to the usb 2, partition became RAW and I had ' chkdisk/f G:'... once again!

So, to make it as simple as possible, after some testing, it seems that the drive can only be used on the usb ports 2-only on ports usb 3 but can not be used at a time, which is very annoying for a portable external hard drive.

I tried to format the drive to my usb port 2 and return on the usb port 3, the content came as if I had never formatted it and then back on the usb port 2, the RAW score again...

I use Windows 7 and 8.1 Windows computers.

Someone at - it experience that? What is the drive (Toshiba Store Art 1 TB USB3 4)? What is the USB 3 specification? Is - Windows 7 or 8.1 drivers?
And above all: what can I do?

    Thank you very much!

This external plug & play Toshiba HDD supports two USB standards: USB 3.0 and USB 2.0
HARD drive around needs bus power 900mA to work correctly.

The USB 3.0 port supports this standard 900mA. The USB 2.0 port allows only to 500mA.
If in case the HARD disk is not working properly connected to the USB 2.0 port, I recommend you to use a USB cable to Y in order to connect the 2 ports USB 2.0 HARD disk.

I have no idea why the content on the HARD drive is different, but from my point of few of the USB standard does not affect content.

In my opinion, the HARD drive wasn't working properly using a USB 2.0 due to the low power.

By the way: this HARD drive supports some additional features like the ability to oversight function and monitor to alert of the disk space that sends a alert when there is not enough available storage space.

For advanced users, Toshiba has added the ability to customize the backup routine, including the ability to select only the most common file types for backup and change how many times a backup takes place.

  • Stor.e slim not recognized by Windows 8.1

    Hello

A Stor.e slim external HARD drive is not recognized in Windows 8.1 (no problem with Windows 7). When it is plugged in, it s shown as a device not recognized. Driver is requested but not found.

    Hello

Stor.E Slim external HARD drive is a 2.5 HDD USB 3.0 and 900mA power it requires to work correctly.

I suppose that there is nothing wrong with this HARD drive, but with your laptop.

8/8.1 win requires different drivers and you will probably need to install a suitable driver in order to get the USB ports work correctly (USB 3.0 as well as the driver additional chipset would be also necessary).

  • 3 TB Canvio Stor.E not recognized correctly in the USB 3.0 port

I have four of the HDWC130EK3J1 external Stor.E Canvio Desktop HDDs.
If more than one USB 3.0 drive is connected the partitions are not recognized.

The GPT partitions are displayed as MBR partition protection.
The MBR partitions are displayed as never applied.

The drive is detected correctly after that he was to reinsert and close ofd.
At the same time, only 1-3 partitions are recognized correctly.
This problem can be reproduced 8.1 running Win and Win 7 64 bit using two different computers, by using the USB Intel and Nec controller.

Currently, BIOS, update driver update. The HDDs are checked to find errors.
Is there an update to flash ready or a replacement for the external hard drive option?
Please note that a replacement with the same model makes no sense.

My German Embassy has been blocked so I translated it. Sorry the only translator Google

There could be a simple answer to this problem:
There are two standards different MBR and GPT partitions.

MBR works with drives up to 2 TB in size, but it can record handle t with more than 2 TB of space. MBR also only supports up to four primary partitions if you want more, you have to do one of your primary partitions an extended partition and create logical partitions inside.

GPT (GUID Partition Table) is a new standard which replaced the MBR. The TPG requires UEFI. This standard isn't limited like MBR and readers can be much larger and size limits depends on the system and its file systems. It allows an almost unlimited amount of partitions.

I guess that the system cannot recognize the partitions (from additional external HDD) due to the limitation of the MBR.

  • HDD and dvd are not recognized in the configuration menu, what could be the problem?

The hard drive and dvd drive are not recognized on the configuration menu for my desktop Pavilion a4316f.  What is a controller failure?  A PCI controller can be used to replace the motherboard controller?

    dhobs,

Anguish, that the suffering of the faulty motherboard has been aggravated by your actions. Why you decided to perform a restore (which re - formate the disk, erase all your data files (documents, photos, videos to misic,) is really amazing.)

You had a viable BONE, work and the data store. You he clobbered with recovery. As explained, the 'tattoo' reads the embedded hardware configuration and will stop at the resumption of treatment if it detects a change.

Only temporary help I can offer is to open the computer case and install a small 12v on the NVidia chip fan. IF the chip is not 100% burned, you can earn low enough time to reinstall the operating system and then add the map.
