Stored M4555 fax

How to configure the fax stored on a MFP FutureSmart to require a PIN code retrieve faxes?

With the PTF FutureSmart, you can manage the storage access to breast: the server of the Web unit integrated fax.  The setting is found under the Security tab, then the access control menu.  Access control, you will find the configuration in the connection and authorization policies under Open from the application of the device memory > stored faxes.

Once it is set, when a user tries to access the stored faxes (which are found on under recover from the device memoryControl Panel) there will be an icon of padlock closed next to stored faxes and the user will be asked to sign in with the method that you have defined in your strategy.

Does that answer your question?  If this is not the case, let me know.

Thank you

When I am about to send a fax by printing to the fax device 8630 Officejet, I am prompted to put in the fax number and save it in an address book of contacts. Where is this address book? I want to centrally manage an address book fax number of the office, but the address book appears only would be localized and individualized. Any solution to this problem?

I found it. The fax address book contacts that each user enters the program Assistant HP Fax is saved in the Contacts of the user in their profile on the computer records. They are the same format that Outlook uses for its contacts.

  • Erasure of data stored on the printer

HP Officejet Pro L7555 there a hard drive or ram that stores data and if so how to clear?

There is no hard drive.  There is a non-volatile memory that stored the FAX - numbers, log information, duration, and number of pages sent (but not content).

You can clear the FAX information with a semi-reset as follows: unplug the printer power cable when the printer is turned on, then press and hold # and 3 button and plug the power cord while now the keys # and 3. Wait until the light flashes on, then release the buttons.

  • Unsuccessful fax continues to call, how can I cancel it?

After sending a fax successfully, unsuccessful faxes continue to try to connect. Where is stored the fax or how to see the list to send faxes?
With the help of windows 7 Professional

    Hello

Do you receive an error message or error code?

I suggest that you can open the fax and scan feature and then try cancel the fax that is in the Outbox.

Follow the steps for the same thing:

    a. Click Start, type and fax and scan in the option search, then select Fax and scan.

    b. click on the Outbox, it will show all faxes pending.

    c. right click and cancel.

  • CM2320fxi fails to email if more than 7 pages are scanned

I have a CM2320fxi which works great until we try to analyze more than 7 pages for e-mail. It will scan however many pages are placed in the ADF, but when it tries to send it fails.

My first thought was maybe the memory, but 7 pages are only 1 MB and the printer indicates 125 MB of free space.

    Ideas/suggestions?

There is a maximum that the printer is allowed to send at any time and the memory of the printer that you mentioned is more for documents stored as Fax. I bet it was too big to send eitehr or the SMTP for your customer to mail flag and stopped it thinking that it was malicious or spam.

  • LJ m4555 MFP lose Lan-Fax-Settings

as I transferred it to the wrong forum, a quick translation in English:

I have a problem with a new HP LaserJet M4555 MFP (model CE502A) because user settings in settings fax-lan-disappear from time to time.

"Save to a shared network folder" is checked and the user data and correct file (domain, user, password) are data - access test says successful.

Suddenly after a few days the user settings, password and domain disappear and faxing is not longer possible.

the error log contains an entry of it:

County | Date and time | Print Sites | Action | Firmware | Description | Repeats

    14. 21.03.2013 | 13:35:03 | 982. 44.91.08 2201057_231936 | LAN - Fax Configuration error. 0

Re-enter the user name and click on save will store the settings, but the following Web site shows strange responses.

It is said that an "unexpected error has occurred. excuse the inconvenience, try again' but also 'process completed successfully '.

Fax settings are stored and everything works well, but a few days later, they are gone again and everything starts from the beginning.

firmware version is 2201057_231936 - have found a newer version on the web.

Any tips, tricks or other ideas to try? It would be logical to choosable firemware even?

has got a new version of Firmware per HP: FutureSmart 2 SP3 (2300274_376884) that resolves this problem successfully.

  • 4620 HP faxes sent with the cover sheet and scanned attachments are stored?

I have a wireless HP 4620 Officejet A-I-O on Windows 7.  I use the software to send a fax, adding a page of coverage and analysis of the attachments.  Once the fax is sent, there is a history of the drive, but that's all.  Are the real faxed pages saved or stored on my computer?   If Yes, where can I find the?  Thank you!

Yes, you are right. There is a history of JOURNAL of FAX, or transmissions, but there is NO real faxed pages saved or stored on your computer.

  • I can not find where my fax is stored on Vista Ultimate 64-bit.

I know watch WINDOWS FAX AND SCAN, then TOOLS, then SETTINGS in FAX then ADVANCED, but when I go there, I don't see cover pages and not the body of the fax. Where are they? Can anyone help? Thank you.

I do not use a fax server, only my unique computer, desktop. BUT I SOLVED THE PROBLEM!

For some reason, PICASA3 was the default player for .tif and .tiff files. When I used WINDOWS EXPLORER and clicked on a fax to the location Windows F & S said they were stored, the PICASA3 Viewer would open and I see ONLY the first page. When I changed the viewer of these files to be the PAPERPORT Viewer, I could see then ALL pages.

When I received a fax in Windows F & S and I clicked it, it would open in F & S Windows. It was just at the point where I tried to open it in WINDOWS EXPLORER which PICASA3 opened.

If the question was related to the application that I used to OPEN the faxes in Windows Explorer. Once I changed the default program for .tif and .tiff PICASA3 to PAPERPORT files, everything was fine. My intention was to have all my faxes automatically and in real time go to PAPERPORT, which I use to manage all of my documents.

    Thanks for all your help.

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see you are trying to have an all-in-one Officejet 5610 printer. The printer has no permanent memory and does not store the work print or fax. It is useless to try to obliterate the memory of the printer.

  • When I receive a fax, it does not print, nor is it stored on my computer.

HP has tested the printer when we installed. It is defined as the wireless. Fax test page printed. I had 9 pages received by fax Thursday, and they were never printed. Are not in my downloads. • Where is my Officejet 7410 incoming Fax go?

I created my old Office jet 7410 to work with a new computer running Windows 7 Professional.  I downloaded the appropriate software (I think).  Scanning and printing to work perfectly.  Work of outgoing faxes.  Incoming faxes are different. The rings of the machine, said a fax was received.  Printing newspaper also said very well received fax. PROBLEM: no regular paper has printed.  I don't know where or not at all its stored.  Try reprinting of memory and nothing is displayed.  Searched my C drive and nothing there either.  Where is my fax machine? How do I actually print a fax machine?

The problem has been fixed... everything that was needed was a line filter.  Once I got one from Radio Shack and plugged in, faxes started coming thru!

  • My new 1536 HP said storage fax instead of faxing

I bought the printer and it worked for 1 week. Now he says fax storage and store the copy but usually do.

    Hi DrJYoung,

I understand that the printer is showing fax storing and store the copy.

I'll be happy to help you.

I would like to do a power reset.

When the printer is still lit, disconnect the power cable from the back of the printer.

Then, disconnect the power cable from the wall outlet.

Wait 10 seconds and reconnect the power cable to the wall outlet first, then the back of the printer and turn on again.

Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (do not use a hub or a surge protector)

I have provided a document for Troubleshooting Fax. The update of the firmware should fix this.

Please let me know if you still have any questions.

Thanks for posting on the HP Forums.
    Have a great day!
