HP Officejet 8630: HP Officejet 8630 fax contacts place?

Where are stored the fax contacts?

When I am about to send a fax by printing to the fax device 8630 Officejet, I am prompted to put in the fax number and save it in an address book of contacts. Where is this address book? I want to centrally manage an address book fax number of the office, but the address book appears only would be localized and individualized. Any solution to this problem?

I found it. The fax address book contacts that each user enters the program Assistant HP Fax is saved in the Contacts of the user in their profile on the computer records. They are the same format that Outlook uses for its contacts.

Where can I see the status of all pending composed?

    Hi RCP45,

Welcome to the HP Support forum.

I understand that you use a HP Officejet Pro 8625 e-all-in-one printer, and you would like to know how often the printer will recompose faxes would know viewing pending composed. I would like to help with that.

When you set printer busy redialn, or no response redialn, the printer will automatically start to dial the number of the recipient of the fax, the first transmission fails without delay. He will continue trying to send up to cancel key.

Because once the fax is cancelled the fax number must be entered again, either manually or selected from your speed dial entries, there is no list of faxes pending.

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance.

  • How to get a newspaper like my Officejet J3608 fax

I have an Officejet J3608 which I run as for a stand-alone printer, copier and fax machine - that is to say, not connected to a computer. I need to prove I sent a fax to someone 5 months ago using the fax log, but the log that is currently printing gives the last 30 transactions, that is to say back 1 month ago about. Is it possible to extract a newspaper more there than that?

    Thanks and greetings

    Hello chef

The Officejet J3608 can contain only the 30 last faxes that have been sent or received. There is no way to go back five months.

  • OfficeJet 6600 Fax confirmation date and time fields zeros

When I send a fax directly from the printer that prints the confirmation record has a field for the date and time, but it shows all zeros (see below)

Is it possible to fix these so that they are accurate? If I need to prove that a fax has been sent, it must show when.

    Hi CJChristian,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that your date and time of confirmation fields are equal to zero with your HP Officejet 6600, and I am happy to help you!

Please have a look through this guide. Implementation of the hardware of the printer for e-all-in-one printers HP Officejet 6600 and 6700 Premium H711n. Select the Officejet 6600 and search for step 7 set the Date and time.

Also this guide can help too. Setting up the device HP all-in-one to send and receive faxes.

I hope that these guides are useful to you and have a nice day!

  • All-in-one Officejet J6400 Fax receive not always or not at all

OfficeJet J6400, Vista.  Connected to the laptop via cable and wireless.  It is connected to the same phone number line, with the answering machine.  Settings seem correct and even when I had previous HP printer.  4 rings on the answering machine pickup and 6 rings for fax receive.  The fax does not receive.  Even if auto answer is on.  I am able to fax, manually. (have not tried otherwise)

I have to figure out how to keep the auto answer on vs switch mode 'sleep' (of another post).  But sometimes it is not in Standby Mode and AutoA is off.   Regardless, machine does not seem to take faxes.  BUT, when you do the test with HPFaxme, it doesn't work. !

And, when you use the HP Solution Center, all settings are made, and sometimes their fax Test does not work.

Another question... in Fax configuration, which is PC modem in this question in quotes?  It's same as router? -"Are you using a PC modem (to access online services) on the same phone line as the device HP?   Answer is Yes or no.  Which is mine?

I don't have DSL, and fax is on the same phone line. I have a DSL filter connected to the wire, of course.  Another wire goes from phone line in the wall (there is a separator) to the router.  This configuration refers to highest question?

Is the best connection wireless or cable (printer for laptop)?

    Thank you!

I'm back earlier than expected.  I never ran any patches of the HP link because another action (s) would have helped (which is recommended for another problem I had).

    So-

I had the printer connected to the laptop via a USB connection and network.  (wire cable between the printer and the laptop and wireless through the printer setup)   Due to many problems to make the light stays on 'Auto response' (I posted on this separately in the recent past), I have the settings Fax arranged in a strange way to make this work.  So I didn't want to change these settings, what would be the recommended link for me to do.  For the problem of the 'auto response', I ended up connecting computer to the printer via the cable. And that probably contributed to this problem.

I kept the two connections since and chose USB (OfficejetJ6480 copy1) wire as my setting of the printer preference in the settings box of the printer in Control Panel.  I think that even when I did the Wifeless-network connection preferably in the settings area of the printer in the Control Panel, the receiving fax machine or tests do not seem to work (even if it was some time ago and not tried recently).

I think the duplicate connections was things confused.  The fax Test seemed to spend during a test of the printer settings button.  But he would not pass when the test has been made Fax Tools in the Solutions Center on computer. (And this I tested it today.)

SO, I deleted the wireless network connection and the "device" (officejetJ6480) in the settings of the printer in the control panel.  I simply removed it.  I have left the "copy1 OfficejetJ6480" intact and continue the preference for the 'peripheral '.

I have rebooted computer and run Fax Test of the printer and printer Solutions Center on computer configuration tool.  And they both passed Test.  Go figure.

And also, the test of HPFaxMe works very well.    Thus, 3 tests have passed. !

I hope this will be useful for someone even if it is confusion.

But I'm sure that one of the hotfixes in the MissTeri link should help too.

    Thanks MissTeri!

  • OfficeJet 4500 fax problems. Document feeder will not work correctly.

Hello, I hope all are well.

I have a cable for Officejet 4500 all-in-One.  For some reason, he was acting kind of odd.  One of my friends wanted to fax documents.  I turned on the printer waiting to happen to him.  This thing suddenly started printing of old faxes received two weeks earlier.  I've never touched a thing.

When my friend arrived, I went to fax his paperwork.  For some reason any thing would take the first page, however, stop the connection until the other seven would be sent.  I've set up again and it's the same thing with the second page.  A third time brought no action what so ever.  The document feeder would not move even the pages using.  I thought it was because the phone has been off the hook, but it does not solve the problem no more.

The only thing that he would make a rattling noise when moving even not the paperwork through.  I don't really know what to do with this thing.  Help, please.  Thank you.

I have a HP5610 all-in-one officejet via USB connected to my computer windows 10 laptop. Printing and digitization of works excellent.

I can send faxes manually from the HP 5610 machine, which means I have to print documents on paper and that put the document in the HP fax machine.

Is there a utility that I can use to fax documents directly from my PC using the machine HP 5610 fax modem?

I found a Microsoft "Windows Microsoft Fax Scan" utility. This tool needs a separate fax modem. I can't find a way to specify this tool in use moden fax unit HP 5610.

Anyone have a solution for me?

    Henk

    Hey @HD-Heemskerk,.

I see you are trying to fax from your PC in 10 Windows with printer all-in-one Officejet 5610. I can help you with that.

You should be able to fax if you download and install the latest drivers. You can find the drivers by clicking on this link.

When you want to fax you must start by opening to the top of the print window, as if you were going to print. When you do, you should see a printer or a file to print with the printer name and (Fax) at the end. If you select that and try to print, you should see your fax options appears.

Please let me know if this allows you to fax. If so, please click on accept solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.

  • HP officejet 6500: fax

the hp officejet 6500 has a confirmation by fax?  Received fax?

    Hi @terryob ,

I see by your post that you would like to know if the printer has the feature of a confirmation by fax. I would like to help you today.

I did not know what model you have, and so I made sure the two models for you.

    HP Officejet 6500 Wireless:

Go to settings, print, Fax of Confirmation.

    You have these choices:

    When the fax is sent.

    Received fax.

    Now, to send and receive.

    Offshore.

    HP Officejet 6500 has:

Go to settings, Fax Menu, Fax Tools, Fax of Confirmation.

    You have these choices:

    When the fax is sent.

    Received fax.

    Now, to send and receive.

    Offshore.

    I hope this helps.

    Have a great day!

  • OfficeJet 6500: Fax appears not when you add the printer with El Capitan

I've just upgraded to El Capitan.  I have a 6500 Officejet and Officejet 6700 on the network and that you can print on both but fax is not working.

I tried to delete faxes from the Printers & Scanners window in the settings, but when I try to add more once they are not appearing in the list.  When I click on add everything I see is the following:

It should be an option fax for two (well I want that the created such as 6700 6500 is not connected to a phone line).  Anything I can try to get the Fax option to appear so that I can set up the Fax network (the printer is in a different area of the building so my work around printing and then manually fax is a pain - unfortunately, one of our main suppliers insists on faxes and will not accept orders by email if I need this to work!)

By the way I tried selecting the 6500 in the list and then change the print to fax driver driver in the area of USE, but the printer is not sending it by fax - print only a few pages of garbage.

Any help would be great because I find it very frustrating.  Also, I have another Mac with Yosomite on which has the same problem, so I don't think it's specific to El Capitan (but mine was working when I got Yosomite, but I installed the printer/fax under an earlier version originally).

Try to update the software by following these steps:

First of all make sure that the printer is turned on and connected to your Mac or on the same network.

Click on the Apple icon, then select about this Mac.
Click software update, and then click the Store from the top of the indicated window menu and click on reload the Page.

Be sure to install any update HP or Apple, then check for the difference.

If it persists, try manually install the package below:
    http://support.Apple.com/kb/dl907

    Search for now no difference.

Note that it may take up to a minute for the Fax queue to appear.

  • OfficeJet J4680 fax failure - need some tips from a pro!

I have an OfficeJet J4680 and has a few problems. I send a daily fax for a number, and sometimes it sounds as if she's going through, but then the note of fax has failed is displayed. The Party on the other line said fax machine NOT ring although I distintly hear 5 rings, and then a noise indicating it connected.

Also, sometimes there is a fast busy signal and of course, this does not work as well. I am told that I am the only person having problems sending their number. And some days, it works perfectly.

I ran a Test Fax Rport and everything. Any suggestions?

    Hi Mylan,

This looks like a problem on their side. Use the Service of fax HP Test to test your Fax to send & receive faxes.

HP has a number of Test Fax Service to test fax HP products. It is available in the United States only. The telephone number for this service is 1-888-HPFaxme (1-888-473-2963). The fax service receives faxes and returns faxes within 5-7 minutes to the number in the fax header. Note: You must ensure that you have your fax header completely filled in with name and fax number or you will not get a fax back service.
  • HP Officejet 6600: Fax/copy/scanning does not work

I'm unable to use my fax/copy/scan on the printer functions.  The printer works well when printing from the computer.  I've done all the troubleshooting... Disconnect, restart it (printer and computer), etc.  All the reports that I ran to the 'troubleshooting' return with all PASSES.  But when I re - try these functions, the printer display "starting fax" or "Start scan" and "start copy."  I've been here for the last 10 minutes trying to get a copy, and the screen is still showing "start copy".  And while they are 'begins', I am unable to 'x', so I put off the printer.  The printer is 2 years old and we bought the extended warranty expired 2 months ago thanks for any help you can provide.

    Hello

I will be happy to help you with that, may I know if you have tried uninstalling the driver of your PC printer and re - install the latest driver?

  • No icon on windows 7 32 bit hp officejet 4500 fax

I have an officejet 4500 G510n, I installed it on a Windows XP workstation and I would get the printer and the Fax icon. When I install on a Workstation Windows 7 (32 bit) I only get the printer icon. It is important for me that I have the Fax icon because I fax out of our main application. I used the CD that came with the printer and I downloaded the latest drivers from the HP website.

    Hello!!

That's how Win 7 is set up now, it's not two separate icons, when you want something that you just have to select the 4500 Fax as the printer, even if the regular printer is the default printer fax.

  • HP Officejet 4630: Fax wireless

    Hello

I need to know if it is possible to send wireless?

I have a strong bond to my jetpack and the printer is set up on it but will not fax.

Can it be done without a fixed line, and if so, I need help for the right parameters.

    HELPPPPPPPP!

    Dolores

    Hi @gatekeeper1,

I see your message that you want to know if you can fax wireless and the configuration of the fax. I'd love to help you.

I have provided a few steps to set up the equipment for the fax.

Plug the phone cord provided in the box with the printer on the fax port () at the back of the printer.

Then connect the printer to a Lan port of line on the plug wall, if available, or you can also connect the telephone cable to the back of the modem. (a filter may be required by the constructor of the provider)

Here is a document for the 4630 Officejet HP and HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 4640 e-all-in-one printer series - establishing a new Fax.

  • OfficeJet J4540: Windows 7 not recognize Officejet J4540 fax

I just got a new 780 Optiplex Dell running Windows 7.  I tried to install the HP Solutions Center, but got the message that it was not supported on Windows 7.  I downloaded the HP Document Manager as the new software.  I can scan from the Officejet J4540 and print, but the computer does not see the Officejet J4540 as a fax.  Officjet J4540 is connected to a phone line and is capable of the fax as I have to fax directly from the printer console.  How can I get the computer to see the printer as a fax device?

    Thank you in advance.

Hello! Welcome to the @jsp56 forums

I read your email about how you are facing problems with the installation of the printer software on your Windows 7 system, and I'm hoping to help!

You will not have an installation disc to install the printer on your computer, you can download and run the installation compatible with Windows 7 here:

Driver and HP Officejet Full Feature software

After properly installing the software, you should have your return fax options!

I hope this helps, have a great new year!
