Strong Signal, no connection

I'm new to the Board and I've looked everywhere to find an answer to my question and I forgot or it is simply not answered, so I'll write it now.

I have a BEFW11S4 v4 router does not work.  I followed the steps (connected my modem to the router and goes a line from the router on my computer).  I don't get an internet connection.  If I unplug the modem to the router and to the computer (as I always do) no problems.  I have great connectivity.

My computer (in XP) shows a strong signal wireless to the router, even if the modem is not plugged in, which I find strange.

The question is, if I run a hard wire like this: computer-modem-router or modem-router (wireless) - to the computer, I can't connect to the internet.  When I take the router altogether, all right.

I can't follow the steps to change the IP address and other things (I don't know how do it anyway) because I can't conect to the internet with the router somehow, while the router is attached.

I can drive around my neighborhood and connect to popular wireless at will so I know my comptuer choices these signals to the top.

Any ideas would be great!  Thank you.

OK, finally found a post of 'BrickMonkey', which list step by step what to do and now everything works fine!  Thank you!  You are the best!

    Hello

I was able to connect my laptop to my LCD TV (LG LH4000) via HDMI, but all 3 ~ 5 seconds it seems to receive a signal of the up arrow.
Let's say I'm reviewing some files in the windows Explorer and making the file, as if someone presses the arrow pointing upwards.

This only happens when its connected via HDMI. As soon as I unplug the cable, he stops to do.

I tried to look for similar problems, but no luck.

    Thanks for your help

    Hey Buddy,

That s really strange, I must say...

Did you test another monitor with HDMI connection?
Have you tested another high quality HDMI cable?

In addition, it would be interesting to know what operating system you have. Preinstalled operating system from Toshiba is installed?

  • My Wifi does not signal or connection available

I had an access of enternet or wifi... the problem is my wifi has indicate that it was having "no signal", but there, I also open administrative tools and then serving... can any body tell me what I did wrong?

    Hey,.

Would be nice if you could answer these questions to understand the question.

-What version of Windows are you using?

-What is the brand and model of the computer/computer laptop?

-What changes in Services? Other changes were made before the show?

First of all, make sure that you enter the good SSID(network name) and the password.  The laptop must be between network and have a good signal strength.

Then, install the latest network drivers on the site of computer manufacturers.

Thirdly, follow the General troubleshooting steps from the link http://windows.microsoft.com/en-IN/windows/network-connection-problem-help#network-problems=windows-7&v1h=win8tab1&v2h=win7tab1&v3h=winvistatab1&v4h=winxptab1 which has a convenience store of automated network which will detect, notify and correct common network problems that occur when connecting to a wired / wireless.

Please let us know if you still experience the problem.

  • TV projects "No Signal" when connected to Aspire V5 - 122P

I tried to connect my Aspire V5 - 122P to my Sony Bravia, but it displays 'No Signal'. Since my aspires to only the mini-Display port I tried the following, but still, it does not work:

    1 port mini-Display - VGA/HDMI cable

    2 port mini-Display - HDMI cable

I hope someone could help me.

    PS.

I tried to connect my front Apire to a projector via the port Mini-affichage - VGA cable and it worked fine.

I went to the Service yesterday and had the guys here help me understand what the problem is. We tried several HDMI cables and still we get "No Signal". I tried to replace the screen Mini HDMI adapter that I use and it worked. So the main problem is the adapter.

So for all of you who have problems similar to this, I suggest that you try and test several cables/adapters first.

  • [WRE54G v3 - EU] Strong signal but very low speed

    Hello

I just managed to get my new WRE to work after digging around several useful threads. My laptop connected successfully through the WRE and I got the signal strength excellent (54 Mbit/s as the status of dialogue shown). However, when I tried to browse multiple web pages, they took a long time to load. I ran a test of speed at speedtest.net and I'm barely 100 KB/S download speed (sometimes, it falls as low as 50 KB/S). Before when I connect my laptop in my room through the living room's wireless router, the signal was weak but the download speed was decent.

Is that what I can do to help increase the download speed? Any idea/useful experience will be greatly appreciated! My router is not Linksys but custom-made by my ISP to support DSL, phone and TV at the same time.

    Thank you!

What is the Distance between your router - WRE54G and computer. Make sure the Distance between your router and not more then 40 WRE54G fts 40 fts and the distance between your WRE54G and not your computer. Once you have done this right connections, after that, you can check the speed of your computer.

  • E3000 WAP / would like to old WRT300N can provide a stronger signal

I recently replaced WRT300N router / WAP with E3000.  Low signal in our basement.  I have CAT5e cable that goes down to the basement where I would place the WRT300N in a certain type of client mode so that it will provide a signal more stronger and better access.  I know that I must be sure that DHCP is handled exclusively by the E3000.  Beyond this simple step, I don't know how to proceed.

WRT300N material is capable of that?  If Yes, can someone provide instructions step by step on how to do this?

    Thank you very much.

Two routers will work with the other. You can follow this link and it help you to set up your two routers.

    Hello, @pantelis73

It seems that you have a problem with the connection of the laptop to a TV for use as an external monitor. I will try to help you with this.
