  What happened to your system, shortly before the problem started?  All power failures/surges/to close to lightning strikes?

  This line in the configuration for your Ethernet (wired) network connection report

  Autoconfiguration IPv4 address. . : 169.254.81.171 (Preferred)

  (1) means your adapter is configured to obtain its IP address of a server DHCP; This is the default setting and the correct configuration for virtually all domestic and (2) networks, your card has NOT received an IP address from the DHCP server.

  Essentially, your computer is not communicating with your router.  This is confirmed by the fact that there is no 'default gateway'.

  Maybe it's because

  1. The DHCP server on the router is broken
  2. The DHCP server on the router has reached the maximum number of IP addresses, defined to be allocated
  3. The port on the router is broken
  4. The Ethernet cable is bad
  5. The port on your network card is bad

  You did not say how the other PC is connected, but however it is connected if it is able to access the Internet, the DHCP server on the router is almost certainly working correctly.

  Number 2 is very likely.  Happens only if you used the router configuration utility to set the number of allowed IP addresses to a very small number, lower than the number of devices on it (not to mention the computer problem).  You would know if you had done that.

  This leaves the reasons 3, 4 and 5.

  To test the #3, plug your Ethernet cable to another port on the router (most routers have 4 ports).  If the other PC is also connected to your router by Ethernet cable, unplug the Ethernet cable from the router and connect the cable from the problem PC to this port.

  You didn't say why you think it isn't a cable problem (#4).  IMO, that is the most likely cause.  If the other PC is also connected to your router by Ethernet cable, unplug the cable from the other PC (leave it plugged into the router) and connect it to the computer problem.  If not, get an Ethernet cable from checked and test it using that.

  Number 5 is difficult to test.  Apart from physical damage, it is unlikely, but still possible, that would not allow the port while the rest of the adapter works enough to give you are the ipconfig data that you see.  With a cable connected both the router and the computer problem, look into the Ethernet jack on the computer.  You should see 1 or 2 small LED lights.  What do you see?  What color?  None of them are flashing?

  I have a problem with tent to connect to internet. I'm using 7 Ultimate and I continue stuck to "identify the location" when connecting to my wireless router. I have no problem with access to the internet directly when I connect my computer to the server, the router is connected to. It seems that it is a problem of communication between my computer and the router.

  2. What antivirus application do you use on the computer?

  If your computer has a wireless network card, Windows will automatically detect the networks wireless in range of your computer. You can see a list of wireless networks that Windows has detected in connect to a network. If Windows doesn't detect a network that you think is in range of your computer, it could be for the following reasons.

  a. your computer's wireless switch is turned off.

  b. your computer is too far from the access point or wireless router.

  c. the access point or wireless router is disabled or is not working properly.

  d. There is interference with other devices.

  e. Windows is not configured to connect to the right type of network.

  f. the router or access point is busy.

  g. the network you're looking for is defined on only broadcasts do not its network name (SSID).

  h. your network administrator is blocking access to certain networks.

  I would suggest trying the following steps and check if it helps.

  Because the computer has been configured using Apple ID of your brother, it is bound to this ID. If you have never downloaded Yosemite, you can not install it. Ask your brother to insert his Apple ID, so you can get the computer operational again. Then, go to the App Store, sign in with your ID and check the purchases tab to see if the Yosemite is an option. If this is not the case, download El Capitan and see if it will install. If you want to do a clean install, quit the installer and the program below allows you to create a bootable USB key. Boot from it, wipe the hard drive and then install El Capitan. • Satellite C660 - 115 Win7 update stuck in the loop. SOLVED!

  I have a Satellite C660-115 which is stuck in a loop "of despair".
  I am a COMPUTER engineer support and a customer brought this laptop of mine, who was stuck in a loop of repair Win7 (64-bit prem) that simply says Win7 could not be repaired.

  I backed up the profiles of subscribers using Hiren boot CD (done chkdsk as well - everything is OK), and then did a factory restore.
  No problem at all with the restoration.

  Started doing the updates for Win7; SP1 seems to install OK without errors.
  The system then picked up 37 Win7 updates automatically and asked to reset.
  Upon reboot, Win7 entered "drvload.exe" and started an auto repair.
  It took time and the system started OK, but without any sign of SP1, looks so much like system restore to an earlier point?

  I though this update to process 3 times now and each time after that a lot of auto update, the same sequence occurs.

  How to exit this loop? What is causing this problem, which I have never seen before?

  No software has been installed, other than that of the recovery process.
  I even uninstalled McAfee, just in case this could be a problem - no change.

  Ah, just took another look. It is stated in Win7 system registers that the restoration was caused by a corrupted file C:\ci.dll. Google to find it was a sign by a rootkit virus in the HARD Master Boot Record disk (the file ci.dll itself is NOT damaged). Found a fix tool

  Seems to be OK now!

  The hard reset is a common tool that we use for laptops and printers and often heals a large number of questions.

  Because so many features built in batteries to maintain some memory, this is one of the ways to identify if it seems like it might solve the problem.

  I use LabVIEW 2014 on 64-bit Windows to acquire data of moving a digital coder as follows: linear encoder Renishaw--> NOR 9411 digital in--> cDAQ - 9174--> Windows machine.

  I have a VI that records moving to 5000 Hz. He was works well for weeks, but suddenly, change value (i.e. the County) remains stuck to zero any movement there.

  Trip data are also used in a feedback SoftMotion loop.  Which works very well.  I use same SoftMotion commands to create a history of travel, that looks right (this story of displacement is limited low frequency of activation by SoftMotion nature so I created this second way to measure travel to high frequency).  Point being, I am convinced that the linear encoder works fine.

  I am extremely confused because I have not changed anything of substance I can think.  I move the cDAQ9174 to a different os of USB cable I started with the assumption that I had screwed up connectivity somewhere in hardware.  The cDAQ-9174 and NEITHER 9411 times pass Self Test NI MAX.  I checked the relevant cable continuity by pin and it is fine.  Then I started to try to get more information on the value of the counter.  I have a number of versions of this VI and they all report that the meter is flatline to zero any movement there is in the system.  I ran the VI in run mode of looking for clues and I noticed something that seems a little weird, at least for me.  The meter is identified as cDAQ1 / _ctr *.  Does anyone know what this means?

  Attached is the VI screenshots with and without highlighting on execution in case someone sees something in there that I'm missing.

  Thanks for your help.  I can't exactly say I solved this problem, but the problem disappeared.  Any changes I made to the wiring and then repeated to them, I reversed and all of a sudden it worked again so he must have had a problem connecting somewhere along the line.  Thanks for explaining the * thing, good to know that it was a Kipper.

  You need to perform a clean boot to find the program that is causing and then disable or remove.

  Cannot identify player Sansa - HELP! (PLS) Hello world:

  I took possession of an unknown model of a Radio Player SANSA and have spent the last several months trying to get some use. My second problem is to identify the model of what I can locate manual and the specifications of the user.

  The biggest problem is that I couldn't get to show anything (he refused to turn at all). Then a couple of days, the iconic SANSA start screen magically appeared! Now, my biggest problem is to make him do something else. It displays now an error screen permanent which is not very informative, but seems to be a 'record' with an 'X' overlay icon

  The only other answer that I was able to induce is that it displays an error message saying not "enough space for music DB. Please free 3 MB. "when a Micro SD card is inserted.

  The PIX below are not particularly useful, but you can see the appearance and the error screen. The first and the second are the front and back; the third is the persistent error screen, and the fourth is the "bowels" showing the circuit board. The jury noted STANZA Ver 1.3.

  Also there is no sound at all via the headphone jack, and it is not recognized on a Windows or Linux computer. I still find a MAC to see if it can be detected on it.

  This message is to ask if anyone can provide info on this model. I have spent hours Googling for any hint of this unit, but have not found index. The unit is 2 "square and about 1/2" thick. The body is metal and there is a clip on the back of the device (also metal). The face is a printed plastic sheet that is just stuck on with adhesive sticky. Finally, the screen is black & white (i.e., no color).

  The drive is a slotRadio device.  It requires a microSD card to operate; the card will have a SR logo on it.  Without microSD card is playable, you should see this icon.

  The player has enough cool graphics when you use a SanDisk Slot Radio card.  To charge the device or transfer music you will need a card and a micro USB cable.
