  I understand your desire to 5530 is stuck on now 'scanning alignment Page. I will do my best to help you! Please, try the following steps:

  (1) Please plug this printer into a live wall, not a surge protector

  (2) take away all your ink cartridges

  (3) disconnect the power cable from the back of the printer (do not press the power button)

  (4) wait 60 seconds or more

  (5) plug the power cord into the printer. Wait for the printer turn on completely

  (6) now install the ink cartridges. Try to print an alignment page

  Please let me know if this page receives missing colors. Impatience on your part.

• my hp photosmart d110 is stuck trying to print the alignment page

  I use mostly my HP Photosmart D110 as a copier.  Yesterday, after changing the ink cartridges, it went to the screen that says it prints the alignment page.  It does not print.  I have it put off, sometimes by the button, sometimes by pulling on the power cord, but it turns on and says he has to print an alignment page.  He's stuck in this loop now, and I can't use it al all.  Help!

  Follow the steps below.
  
  1. remove the cartridges from the printer
  2. If the printer is on, disconnect the power from the back of the unit.
  3. wait for 1 to 2 minutes and make sure that the power is plugged directly into the wall before connecting the printer in.
  4. If the printer does not by itself, press the power button, and then wait for the printer to you ask to install the cartridges.
  5. try to re-run the alignment on the printer

  I have a HP Pavilion with Vista pre-installed OEM. The machine is out of warranty HP and it was purchased while I lived in the United States. I am now back home in the United Kingdom. In any case, the motherboard is dead (common fault on the model of machine, I got) so I replaced and got Vista working again by using the product key that is stuck to the case. Vista then I messed up with a virus and so I trashed it and tried to re - install using the rescue partition and backup discs that I created. None of these options do know as changed the motherboard. I now put Linux on the machine and most of the time, Miss me not Vista. However, my son has an Ipod Touch who needs ITunes and used to run Linux. Yes, there was one I can get vista's new media and reinstall vista, and then turn on again? Really, I can't justify buying a new copy of Windows, so I have a valid license and that you need to run ITunes.

  It makes me feel a little cranky. HP are without help, beyond their warranty period.

• Help - stuck trying to upgrade

  Today, I bought the upgrade version of Acrobat Pro 9.  I'm currently under Acrobat Pro V7.  Installation of the upgrade hung up while trying to uninstall my old version.  I tried to manually uninstall the V7 and received the same error message.  Tried to reinstall from the CD V7 and get the same error message.  Tried to update on the V7 and get the same message.  So I am stuck, can someone help please?  Here is an image of the error: thanks for any help!  Eric

  

  Use the Microsoft Installer Cleanup tool. It will remove anything in the registry and allows you to install the upgrade.

  I zipped and attached the controller driver SATA NM10 your laptop uses the label of attachments below...

  Unzip the file and copy the content without all the folders in your USB flash drive or flash drive, if you have two usb ports.

  With the flash player and the installation of W7 media connected to the computer, boot from the installation of W7 media.

  After selecting the install now option, select the training - Advanced menu, Options and select the option load a driver.

  You should now see the storage driver files listed (or access them if you put them on the same flash drive than your installation of W7 file).

  If you check the box, it only includes the compatible driver.

  Follow the prompts and hopefully, W7 should install.

  I changed a cartridge and try to align the cartridge but keeps paper be ejected with message "paper mismatch" on the front panel of the printer.  Same paper and size I always use but I changed out, unplugged and reset the printer and made sure pc the printer settings are compatible with the paper type and size as well.  Still no luck.  I know that this printer is older but it was gently used

  In fact, I had already read the news you mentioned me and it did not apply to my situation of paper.  I was using standard letter size paper and had not changed type and size.  What I found useful is a blog that mentioned by changing the properties of the printer; printing preferences; type.  I got the paper type "automatic" and I changed to "plain paper" as the recommended blog.  After that, I was able to align the ink cartridges and print as usual.  I still have no idea what caused the problem in the first place since the previous setting was what I always used.  Thanks for your interest.

  I the number of jpgs in my lightroom database (1500) that indicates that the metadata are not updated because they have been modified externally (I did using picasa).  When you try to synchronize the files LR6 tent begins the task of writing these files but crashes then with further progress.   Thanks for your reply. I finally understood what was giving me all these problems (recording stuck metadata, face detection, hung, Hung LR). I had about 50 JPG files that seemed to have corrupted metadata. LR wouldn't load them at all (even if they had been in the LR database).  PhotoViewer Windows and other managed applications files very well and he was really no indication of what was wrong except that they show no previews, would not reimport. I finally loaded their in PicMeta Information Extractor (great tool) and a metadata repaired. After LR charged their fine. LR really needs to give a better idea of what is the problem and how to fix it. It is simply hung on these images, rather than giving viable error messages.

  Hello, I hope I am posting this in the right place. This is my first attempt using Automator and I think I have about a defined workflow, but I can't figure out how to ask it to perform the last steps. I have a text file with a list of URLS. I want to tell automator to open the terminal (I can do) and then run a command for each url listed in the text file. I can't understand how to separate the list of URLS one or line-by-line in order to run a command on each of them separately. What should I do to achieve this? I thank very you much for your time.

  The action "Run Shell Script" has a menu option entrance Pass. Select as arguments in this menu. The entry will become the positional parameters of your script.

• 3 surface Pro stuck trying to start issuing bitlocker recovery key

  My Surface Pro 3 took ages to restart (circle of points spinning for centuries). So I went in safe mode (see photo). He recommended I go to windows.microsoft.com/recoverykeyfaq and I enter the key ID.

  My machine is joined to a domain, but I'm not on the network, because I can't start and even if I was, I'm at me so impossible to get the field

  Bitlocker options give me anywhere to enter the id of the key. I do not have a backup of the recovery key (it was not given to me), and even if I try to reset my pc option it asks installation or Windows recovery support. Which I did not.

  I would have hoped that recovery of bitlocker on the URL above would have given me a way to capture the key Id to unlock bitlocker!
