• Adding second DVD - Rom SATA HP Pavilion with only 2 SATA power connectors.

  Try to add a second SATA DVD Rom but do not see more SATA power connectors?  I tried to discuss with Tech, desperate!  Don't understand.  The system came with a SATA hard drive and a SATA DVD/BlueRay so both SATA power connectors are used.  I do not see another SATA power connector in the system, but there are at least 2 connectors SATA DATA more on the system board.  You can even add the old style DVD of as the connectors on the system board do not exsist for the old style DVD ROM.  What they do a converter to SATA power adapter or am I missing something?  Strange.

• How could I NOT have a scene selection on the main Menu of the DVD?

  With the help of PRE 11.  I have a clip only, with no scenes (imported from a VHS).  When I try to make a DVD, it adds a default scene selection in the main menu of the DVD.  Since there is no 'scenes' (at least I think the scenes on a regular DVD), is anyway to remove/delete button on the main menu scene selection?  All the models that I have seen include the scene selection.

  In the same vein, I import a few VHS convert to DVD that will have several 'clips' on each of them.  For example, "Christmas 1988', ' holiday of summer 1989", etc.»  What I want to do with those, it is having the "clips" separated as a choice on the main Menu of the DVD, and have still no scene selection.

  Is this possible?   Also, I bought a Photoshop/Premiere Elements a few years and a couple of versions ago (because the sale price was the same as Photoshop Elements only).  I just watched the first after installation, didn't really use it, but it seemed to me that there are many more styles DVD.   Can I download other models from Adobe, or is that has come on the DVD there are all?  Is there anyway to make my own, because I don't see just a pattern of single color base type, it's too loud for me.

  I still don't know what you're doing. (Are making sure to turn off the option for the program adds automatically the markers of scene?)

  I just tested myself and certainly do not create a menu if you do not have menu scene marks.

  Can you post a screenshot of your timeline so we can have a look? Make sure that you press on the-key first, so that we see the entire timeline.

• Still burned DVD takes a long time to load into the reader

  I created a DVD in Encore CS3.  The final DVD is approximately 60 minutes and has 4 menus created in Photoshop CS3.  I purchased the Dolby converted in first and used this file as PCM format indicated by a friend vs.   The DVD works fine but takes a long time to load in one of my DVD players.

  A Sony player, it takes between 40 minutes and up to 70 seconds to load and play the first menu.  Each time is different.

  (This same drive load purchased in-store Hollywood style DVD in about 15 seconds on average)

  In another Sony player my DVD on average about 25 seconds

  A Panasonic player, it takes about 15 seconds

  In a portable player from JVC, it takes about 8 seconds.

  That is what it is?  This DVD is created for replication in a large number, but I'm afraid the long loading time is a problem and you want to solve this problem before sending it to the wide for replication.

  One consideration is that there is no DVD drive certified to play any burned DVD, only those press/replicated. Most do and do as well, with provisions, but some don't.

  Now for these provisions. High quality blank media will get a closer all the success, just like using a slower speed of the burn, as the max. These two considerations will get a close, as it is possible.

  What brand of blank media are you using? Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden are about as good as it gets.

  How fast you burn to? I would look into a speed in the middle of the range permitted by the combo of speed by the media and the burning speed. Slower is better than more fast.

  As Stanley, there may be differences with r and + R media and players. There has been much more a problem, but some players still might prefer a vs the other.

  Finally, when you say "replicated", do you mean that you send in a DLT to make a House of replication a glassmaster, where the DVD is going to be in a hurry? If Yes, these replicated discs will be like the Hollywood DVD and will be NOT burnt, as was your test drive. The question will be moot with these, as they will be DVD-videos, where your burned DVD is really a DVD - ROM.

• Creation of chapters

  I'm not familiar with various file formats.

  
  Is there a way to take a video, add your markers / split clips, then out of chapters in a MPG or AVI which can be read / jumps / etc into media classic programs or other players?

  That is to say;

  I have a 20 minute video

  I have 4 x 5 minute chapters
  I don't want a style DVD menu

  I want to make an AVI or MPG

  While watching the classic video from Media Player, I want to push "Next" and move to the next chapter

  any thoughts?

  Other than the Web - DVD, the only format, I know, to make what outline you would Flash (of course that HTML5 will do too - but it will be just a variant of the WebDVD), but to obtain this interactivity, we would need to do the final editing/programming in a program such as Adobe Flash Pro. Interactivity would come from the screen of buttons, rather than a function in the VLC Player, or similar.

  Real video is linear by nature, and the vast majority of players see only as such. Is that one is the author of this video, DVD, BD or WebDVD, one is able to control this linear nature. Otherwise, the Viewer is relegated to that some controls, such as rewind, rewind to start, moving fast or FF to the end. I can not even think of reading software, that allows to directly enter a timecode, to go to a specific place in the file.

  Just reinstalled Windows 7 Home Premium due to a hard drive problem.

  Everything seems ok, but Win DVD maker puts more graphics style of menu on the DVD file.  Y at - it a patch?

  Welcome to the Microsoft Answers Forum!

  You can't even download new menus/styles; You can then bring yourself with the SDK pack that you can download from the official website of Microsoft. It would be a bit complicated, but if you are good at programming you can use this SDK package. There are many online tutorials that will help you.

  After downloading this file, I suggest to install in compatibility mode, to do this, please follow the steps below

  Right click on the downloaded file > properties > click on the Compatibility tab > under compatibility mode > check the box run this program in compatibility mode for and select windows 7 in the drop-down list in the menu drop down and then apply the settings.

• Creating a playable DVD USB with style menus

  I'm looking to create a playable DVD style USB 4K UHD is not an export format supported by Encore CS6.

  Don't know if I would need to use Flash or Edge to design and build the structure, but essentially it would have the following structure.

  When inseting the USB port to a computer or a compatible TV USB, the menu loads a lot like "autoplay".

  In the loading menu, there are 3 options-

  Play all-it plays video playlist together.

  Scenes - the user can navigate through a submenu to read specific videos in the video playlist.

  Highlights - the user selects this option, and it plays a video file.

  I checked the other discussions on the use of Flash, yet both Edge to create something similar, but more often that otherwise, there is no defined solution.

  Essentially, it would be similar to the creation of a DVD/Blu-ray in CS6 again, but for the 'project' to be on a USB, rather than building and on a DVD or Blu - ray, due to the 4 K resolution UHD.

  its quite possible to do so. I would like to use Flash, personally, it's better for the encoding of such a custom project. Edge might work, but since it is no longer supported I steer away from him, he never really had enough force behind it as well as being better at building site Web.

  I'm using Win7 x 64 RC

  the same clean "BURNER NOT FOUND"!

  1 - Go to the Device Manager "do right click in the icon my computer."
  2 - Select DVD /CD-ROM
  3. disable all virtual rom you like "farston Virtual cd or dvd driver image.
  4. it will be said, you need to restart your PC after a reboot, your DVD maker it will burn corect!
  and now im burning my DVD!
  After that finsh, you can re-enable the virtual DVD/Cd...

  I know its annoying whenever you want to create a dvd, you need to do this step! and if I find another solution, I'll post it here...

• Impossible to navigate to and select the menu buttons during playback of DVD on TV

  I use DVD Studio Pro 4.2.1 on iMac OS 10.6.8 (using old BONES of FCP 6.0.6).

  I have two DVD players for my TV and a Sony DVP-NS57P-GE GE1105P.

  For the video I created, I have two buttons on the main menu 1, 'Play' and 'Chapters' which goes to menu 2 with my links 7 chapters. This perfect mode DVDSP simulate all the works by clicking on these buttons, but I can not click on these buttons of menu 1 with one of my remotes for DVD player when viewing on TV. Movies usually have a menu with buttons like play, scenes, etc. that I can navigate to with my remote.

  Remote controls work fine, I can use its buttons to move to the previous or next chapter while the video plays and the Sony has a strange menu page of access to the chapters but it would be awkward and should not be necessary. I just want someone to be able to navigate on my menu page 1 and select the link to chapters. Not really concerned about "play" button since someone can click play on the remote control.

  So, I apparently need to change a few settings DVDSP. What I'm missing here? Google it and I tried manual DVDSP, but no luck.

  No function edit posts, so I have to put this in a response, I guess. This layout of the forum is so bad, was so much better several years ago. It's looking like my post does not get a response for a reason, but in the cases where it does, I need to update.

  It seems that I am able to navigate to these buttons, I just couldn't see that because the 'Selected' colors, I put to them do not work. I have all the colors of the selection state set for Normal, selected and active. When I use my DVD in my sell order DVD or mode DVDSP simulate with button style control remotely to this topic, when I browse to the top, bottom, left or right, nothing to change the color of links, so there is no way of knowing when I am on a link (I have 9 on a single page) and you want to select and then press ENTER.

  I've hunted throughout the manual, google, YouTube and cannot find the answer to this problem.

  Hi, I have a laptop of Satellite S5200-701 that I had for about 8 years. It has been a good laptop and I had no problem with him, but he must show his age that I have now two problems.

  1. I think the HARD drive is about to pack up, as it started making a lot of very unpleasant noise!
  2. the CD/DVD drive has stopped working. Lights up and when I close the player with a disc, it makes a very brief as sound its trying to turn the disc, but is not actually do.

  In your case I buy a new laptop, but when only browsing on the internet and write emails, the S5200 Satellite should be fast enough.

  It is quite easy to change these components. For the CD/DVD drive, you need to turn the laptop upside down, next to the icon of the TOSHIBA Style Bay securing screw, move the slider to the unlocked position, and then you can remove the drive.

  If you change the HARD drive, you must remove only the two screws that attach the HARD drive cover.

• The OSX 10.4 installation DVD can be installed on a completely wiped Mac?

  I have an iBook G3, with the type of disc loading slot. At present, it has an operating system installed. I found a DVD of 10.4 Installation on craigslist for very cheap, but I know that this type of disk requires that a previous installation of 10.3 be on the hard disk. I have no idea, and I don't want to buy the DVD to see that it does not work. Here is a picture of the disc:

  There is a part number on the DVD, so maybe it's a way to know if the DVD 'install' is or

  Are you sure that your iBook is a white G3, or is this a G4? You say that it is an optical drive slot-loading;

  G3 models all had tray optical drives. I used to own a first white model dualUSB G3

  and no iBook G3 models use an optical drive "slot-loading". It was only the first iBook G4... And I have

  have a last G4 iBook model perfect condition, always close. It comes with 10.4 Tiger gray-label.

• Satellite C850D - DVD burning problem

  Four months ago, I bought a laptop C850D - 12 L to replace my laptop computer another death.

  A couple of days, I tried to burn on a DVD jpg files; I had not done this before on the new machine.
  Everything seems fine until she reach the finishing process and the disk does not end.

  I tried to fire using Windows own engraving option, Nero and I even downloaded Ashampoo Burning Studio, but whenever I get the same results, i.e. nothing gets burned on a disc. I wasted 12 discs already try all variants of files, engraving, programs, etc., but each of them fails.

  I don't think it's the drive, I think it's a software problem, because * I am able to burn files to a CD *. The player plays also bought the DVD shop so that the part of okay - it's just finish burned DVD that is the problem.

  I downloaded a few programs that may have affected things, (Nero was already on the laptop when I bought it), they are: VLC player and DVD Styler - I downloaded them only that Windows 8 has no creation of DVD as Windows 7 programs don't.

  I went to the website of Toshiba and found a zip file driver, which has been updated in 2013. I downloaded which, to reveal the ten files, three of which are uncompressed application files. I tried to run all three of the latter with no apparent effect. I even tried to search these files when you try to update DVD drivers in Device Manager, but he acknowledged not all ten driver files (mentioned above), even though I copied these to a more convenient location in My Documents folder.

  I would be grateful for any suggestions as to how I can solve this problem.

  I think you use not entirely compatible DVD disks.
  It was my problem burning DVD disc.

  Recommend test you the discs DVD-R from different manufacturers but I had the best experience using R TDK and Verbatim DVD R

  PS: Windows system using common Microsoft CD/DVD driver. This is why there is no special driver for optical disc player sound is always part of the system.

• Satellite S1900-704: disc upgrade DVD SD-R6012?

  Computer is Satellite S1900-704, 3 years old. Someone can propose a update DVD player that I can use to upgrade this computer or is the SD-R6012 always the best available? I see many of them on Ebay. I thought that there could be a 'slot' loading disc now that these type of "bac" are a bit old style.   I replaced the DVD drive on my SA30 with a carpet * a UJ825S which is a much more convenient loading slot format which is much less easily damaged when my grandson try to use it.

  I'm sure that you'll be able to find adequate housing of loading for your S1900.
