Subject of the vlan voice SRW224G4P

Hello

I have configured the SRW as vlan, use vlan for voice 212, 348 for data and communicate with cisco IP Phone.

database of VLAN
VLAN, 210-216 345-348
output
ID of the vlan voice 212

!

!
interface fastethernet1
activate the storm control
Storm-control broadcast level 10
Storm-control include multicast
maximum port security by 10 points
port security mode max-addresses
port security throw trap 60
spanning tree portfast
switchport trunk allowed vlan add 212
switchport trunk vlan native 348
macro description ip_phone_desktop
! next order is internal.
macro auto smartport dynamic_type ip_phone_desktop
!

but when I show vlan voice,.

It shows:

=====================================

1ASW01 #show voice vlan
Manage the VLAN voice State is automatically triggered
Operational status of VoIP VLAN is enabled in auto
Best Local Voice VLAN ID is 212
Best Local VPT is 5 (default)
Best Local DSCP is (by default) 46
Concerted VLAN voice is received from the 34:62:88:73:05:c9 switch
Concerted VLAN voice priority is 0 (static source active)
Concerted Voice VLAN ID is 216
Agreed VPT is 5
Agreed DSCP is 46
Voice VLAN agreed last change is 3 May 13 05:06:31

=====================================

I don't know why the vlan 216 became the vlan voice?

I tried changed the build-in macro settings,

auto macro of the built-in parameters ip_phone $native_vlan 348
auto macro of the built-in parameters ip_phone_desktop $native_vlan 348

but the system could not change the value of $voice_vlan.

How to fix?

Hi Skywings,

So I think the above output is after the change, right? If this is true, it seems that something was wrong during the configuration process. Process of VLAN automatic voice has two main phases where one is related to communication between the switches and other Cisco infrastructure devices and synchronization of voice VLAN ID. The second phase is related to the identification of the end device as phone. What I see in your case that the first phase has failed somehow the voice VLAN ID is different from locally configured. Can you share with me your race and also start-up config more CDP neighbors? You can use private message.

Kind regards

Aleksandra

  • Configure the VLAN voice and data in CISCO SF 300 8 P

I have a couple of Cisco SF 300 8 P and P 24 switches. I have voice and data VLANS configured as:

    Data VLAN: default 145.17.59.0/24

    Voice VLANS: VLAN 20 172.22.20.0/24

I have different DHCP servers regarding the data VLAN, we have a physical server that is configured for 145.17.59 * extended IP and Voice VLAN DHCP Server is configured as a router gateway with option 150.

This configuration works very well with other cisco 2960 switches and 3750 etc. except CISCO SF 300 8 P and 24 p. I tried to set up the voice and data VLAN in these CISCO switches so that phone CISCO (model 6941) should get IP of the VLAN voice and PC should get the IP address of the DHCP server on the data VLAN. I tried several techniques such as LLDP, Port-to-VLAN Config etc.

Can anyone please guide me / help on this.

    Kind regards
    A K.M.Sayeed

Hi A.K.M., with Cisco phones you should be able to define simply automatic voice VLAN to be VLAN20.

ID of the vlan 20 voices

You must ensure CDP or LLDP is enabled as well. I would check in the web GUI. DHCP for phones can come from a DHCP server on a port access VLAN20 switch, or you can use dhcp for assistance to redirect DHCP server elsewhere.

If you prefer or you have problems with the CDP or LLDP, you can also program the ports as trunks and add the tag VLAN 20 for them.  In this scenario, you need to ensure inter - vlan routing works and phones that download the file config with corrrect VLAN config.

These switches do not run ios, so they are similar, but different from the catalyst switches that you mentioned.

  • Assignment of the ACS 5.2 VLAN dynamic - problem of vlan voice

    Hello

When I want to configure the VoIP VLAN through ACS, I go to elements of strategy > permissions and permissions > network profiles and then on the common task page select Voice VLAN > static according to the picture below

Configure then configure the VLAN ID > static > VLAN_number

But this only allows the VLAN voice and set it to VLAN_number, the VLAN DATABASE will remain unchanged and not configured.

So my question is, is there a way to configure both the voice (and him) AND the VLAN DATABASE?

I tried to manually add RADIUS attributes to a second VIRTUAL LAN, but it is not allowed.

    Any idea?

    Kind regards

    Thibault.

    Hi Thibault,

Why you want to configure the voice and data on the same permission profile?

If this configuration should be used for an MDA (multi-domain) config on the switch, then take account of the fact that the IP phone and the customer of data must go through separate authentication sessions.

This being said, you should instead set up two profiles different autz and configure different rules in the authorization policy that apply "voice" for IP phones profile and the profile of 'data' for data clients.

I hope that answers your question.

    Kind regards

  • HP Procurve vlan voice with trunks

    Hi all

I am a trained guy cisco, so I try to transfer my knowledge to the HP Procurve switches but it takes a little help to obtain VLAN etc set up.

What I have is 4 switches, 3 at the access layer to the and 1 to the base and distribution.

I want that switches to a trunk of the base and distribution layer 2 interfaces access layer allows to increase the speed of 2 instead of 1 gigabit uplink. Also, I want is that 2 VLANS is set up for separate voice and data. I want that all ports to be able to take in charge a PC or a VOIP phone. I put the phones to automatically tag the tag of vlan for the vlan voice, but I want all traffic to forward the link to resources shared at the base and distribution layer.

From what I understand, so I need to:

Configure a network interface on the access and use of basic/distribution layer switches: b1 - b2 trk1 lacp trunk

Add VLAN for voice and data and assign vlan voice.

The problem I have is the tag-no identified parameters.

I tag vlan trk1 voice and set the priority of the qos to 6 and then comes to create the vlan data not marked on trk1?

the config I've written so far is:

    b1 - b2 trk1 lacp trunk
    show trunks
    spanning tree
spanning tree force version rstp operation
    voice VLAN 100 name
    voice
    Tagged trk1
    QoS priority 6
    data name VLAN 200
    not tagged trk1

is this correct or am I missing something here?

    Thanks in advance!

  • VLAN voice N3048P and DHCP issues

    Hello

I just received several switches for our N3048P and 2 x 4048 access layer - WE for our base layer. Are the N3048P VLT'd between two of 4048. There are 4 x N3048P of one on the other. The 4048 possess all gateways via VRRP.

I have 802. 1 x works with my Windows client test, and I can get the phone (Cisco 7941) to acquire a DHCP address if I put it on a port "switchport mode access. However, if I change the port to a general port with vlan enabled voice and 802. 1 x, the phone does not have a DHCP address, but the PC attached to the phone Gets a DHCP address in the VLAN correct.

I see CDP and LLDP messages exchanged via Wireshark, and it seems that the phone and the switch are to exchange the VLAN voice correctly.

  • Get some VLAN voice to work on 5548P

    Hello

I was wondering if there is a way to accomplish the following. I want the passage to the tag the traffic on its own based on the YES Table and pass it up to the Sonicwall (DHCP server/router) without going through the phone itself do the marking. Is this possible? Currently, the installation so I put manually the VLAN ID on the phone itself, but these phones can work anywhere there is a sense of internet connection if I manually add the tag VLAN, the phone will not work outside of the corporate network.

    Thank you

If your phone supports LLDP-MED, you can install the switch with a VLAN voice. This wiki covers the implementation of the VLAN voice.

    http://en.community.Dell.com/TechCenter/networking/w/wiki/configuring-Dell-PowerConnect-55xx-series-switch-voice-VLAN.aspx

Do not have to configure phones that you configure LLDP-MED. The VLAN ID information are passed with LLDP-MED configured on the VoIP phone using the LLDP-MED mechanism. By this method, the voice from the VoIP phone data are tagged with the VLAN ID exchanged and the usual traffic would go to the PVID.

Here is the link to the user guide. LLDP-MED configuration begins at page 540.

    FTP://FTP.Dell.com/ Manuals /Cccomplis /powerconnect-5524_User%27s%20Guide_en-us.pdf

Once the phone is in the voice VLAN it can still receive an IP address by the DHCP server using the DHCP relay. The switch acts as a DHCP relay agent that listens for DHCP messages,

and passes between DHCP servers and clients, residing in IP or VLAN different subnets.

Relay DHCP and espionage begins on page 563 of the user guide.

    I hope this helps.

I would recommend that you keep the command ' switchport voice vlan "because it is what allows the port to be a port" multi - vlan "without set it up as a trunk. If you remove this command and you always want to spend two VLANS (one per voice) and other data, then you will need to configure the port as 'trunk '. Unfortunately, it won't only 802. 1 x is not supported on the trunk ports :)

    I hope this helps!

  • Voice VLAN with SRW224G4P

    Hi all

I tried to config a vlan voice in this switches for the last 3 hours and for me it's impossible... I know how to do it in a switch IOS but with this switches is a nightmare...

The first 3 octes for the mac on my phone is inserted into the Table YES telephony

Belonging to a VLAN automatic voice is enabled in the port where the phone is attached.

The port connected to the SWCORE has the vlan configured as labeled 100.

SWCORE has created the VLAN 100 and activated as VLAN VOIP

The port connected to SW1 has the vlan configured as labeled 100.

The port connected to the router CME has the vlan configured as labeled 100.

If I have another config port in SWCORE with 100 VLAN Tag I can ping from FMC to this host.

Could be the problem, an error of spread vlan?

Could someone help me? I'm desperate...

    Thank you in advance.

    Hi David,

Thank you for the purchase of the switch.

. Like what, even riding a bike, the switch is actually very easy to set up, if you practice on it...

You mentioned that you use the 'phone YES picture' I assume you have a SF300 - 24 p or p/n command SRW224G4P-K9-NA.  Please be specific with the models of switches you use.

Using the old SRW series or refreshed in the kernel SRWxxx-K9 (300 series) switch?

First of all, make sure that you are using version 1.1.0.73 of the switch firmware. This change now or check that 1.1.0.73 is the active image on the switch.

The switch has two areas to store the firmware images.  It stores the new firmware in the area of the image unused.  The administration for the firmware update Guide and select new firmware for the next reboot.

CDP is enabled on the switch when using the new software, did not exist with older firmware, where my insistence to upgrade the firmware.

( Personally I would prefer that you have a role of catalyst for switching to your CME ISRG2 application, for purposes of support tech.) But this is the land of freedom..)

    I found the following when I added my SG300 - 28 p to a conscious UC500 of VLAN.

The UC500 was vlan100 of advertising as a vlan voice, configured by Cisco Configuration Assistant, you could try CCP on your ISR.

I got an IP phone that is plugged into the port of switch in the G7 and uplink to my UC500 via the Gig27 port.

What follows in blue is a screenshot of my 300 series switch CLI interface.

You will notice that the switch already filled both VLAN and port information, the only command that I added was "don't activate any complexity of passwords" and some usernames, including free from the screenshot below.

  • Help the VLANS on Cisco SG200 - 08 p switch voice and data

    Hi all

    I'm faced with a problem of configuration on the Cisco SG200 - 08 p.

We use Cisco SG200 - 08 p on a mobile carriage which will go from classroom to classroom who will have computer and phone VoIP cisco plugged into it. The question is that each of our closets are in different VLANS (1 voice and 1 data... Let's say data vlan 20 and vlan voice 2025 for conversation) and which move towards every closet.

It would be great if I could just create a vlan voice dynamically pick up this switch upstream has however and generic data, it seems that I was failed to do.

So far, I can pass the data Vlan no probably. The upstream switch port is set to access port and a switch port access voice vlan (these are x 3750 switches)

If the above is not possible, I guess I'll take what I can get. Should I create data vlan 20 and vlan2025 of the voice on the Cisco SG200 - 08 p and make a port on the Cisco SG200 - 08 p and a trunk trunk on the 3750 x? Is there an option on the Cisco SG200 - 08 p to tag voice traffic?

I am also concerned about DRIFTING and I did not see an area in the Cisco SG200 - 08 p to set it as a customer and a transparent mode.

    Thanks for any help,

    Dan

    Playne,

first the bad news, the switches for small businesses currently do not support VTP, they support the GVRP Protocol which is like VTP, but there is no State that the VLAN used it will not automatically learn as VTP.

You should be able to configure the 3750 as a trunk with a vlan 1U or unmarked and vlan 2025 as the tag for the voice. configuration of the port on the switch to small businesses the same way to its home port. All ports which have only phones will be 2025U of access and all ports only PC would be access 1U. All ports of phone and computer would be trunk 1u, 2025T

  • VLAN voice and data on a single port

    Hello

I have some 5548 P Dell switches, but I just Cisco environment.

I find a lot of information on this but most of it relevant to the VLAN marked and unmarked on a port in general. Some articles suggest to put the port in trunk mode...

anyway (without taking into account the QoS) how you would accomplish this example Cisco on a Dell switch:

    Switch (config) #interface g0/1

    Switch(Config-if) #switchport mode access

    Switch(Config-if) #Switchport access vlan 50

    Switch(Config-if) #voice switchport vlan 10

    Thank you!

For general mode, commands would be present as follows.

Console (config) # interface gigabitethernet 0/1/1

    Console # switchport mode general

Console # switchport general allowed vlan remove 10

Console # switchport General allowed vlan add 2,3,4,50 tag

    Activate console # vlan VoIP

    Trunk mode:

Console (config) # interface gigabitethernet 0/1/1

    Console # switchport mode Trunk

Console # switchport Trunk allowed to remove vlan 10

Console # switchport Trunk allowed vlan add 2,3,4,50

    Activate console # vlan VoIP

  • Using the LAN Voice feature

I'm spending some old HP/3Com switches for some new Dell PowerConnect 62xx and 55xx switches v1910.  The EPS and the 55xx all have a function of 'YES' where I can specify that the first six characters of my IP phone manufacturer mac address so that the phone can automatically be assigned to the VLAN correct.  62xx switches have not however of this feature.  How do I know the 62xx switches should assign a phone to VLAN 2 when the phone starts?  Our PC is plugged into the PC ports on the phones themselves and they must be on the VLAN 1 is not possible to attribute specific to ports VLAN individual.  I'm sure I'm missing something somewhere but I don't know what.

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Hi Chris,

Here is the guide for the characteristic voice VLAN http://www.dell.com/downloads/global/products/pwcnt/en/pwcnt_voice_VLAN_support.pdf

How it works, is that phones are tagged with the VLAN that you assign and the PC traffic is sent without a label.

In the coming months we will replace our network equipment.  I was able to get their hands on the new gear at the beginning, and if I'm not traditionally a guy from the network, the project has been given to me and I started playing.  The first thing that I wanted to work on was implemented VLANs.  I have configured the switches like the picture below:

When I have IP every PC connected to the same subnet and apply VLAN10 to their respective ports, they aren't to pings within the same stack or between cells.  My basic understanding is that they are, do they not?  Did I miss something in my understanding of VLANS or is there a problem with my configs?  I posted the configs below.

I would say lets start with one side and obtain communication of work between the two computers on the same stack at RTTMOACCESS01. The port settings for the 1/01 and 2/01 look great both in access mode for VLAN 10. Which IP addresses and subnets you assign to computers?

5548 to battery power battery connection 10 also appear to not be in a LAG, then we run two connections like that and they aren't in a SHIFT, we create a loop and a single connection will enter a blocking state.

For the connections between the 5548 and force 10, I suggest to turn them into a GAP. The command should look like this.

    Console > activate

    Console # configure

Console (config) # (config) # interface tengigabitethernet 1/0/1

Console (config) # port - 1 automatic mode group

    output console #.

    Console (config) #.

    Do the same for Te2/0/1

Then we set up this OFFSET to set it up, and I would try to use the trunk instead of general mode mode.

    Console (config) # interface port-channel 1

    console switchport mode trunk #.

console # permit trunk switchport vlan add 10,20,30,40,50 tag

The same should be done for the Force switch 10.

    Te0/46.1/46 in a SHIFT

    Te0/47.1/47 in another SHIFT

Put in the trunk and let the VLANS on the trunk.

Allows to study these settings and see if we can make any progress.

    Thank you

  • Configure the vlan with SG 300 - 10 p and 520 SA

    Hi all

Forgive my ignorance, but I need help with the basic configuration.

For a small office, I bought an appliance of security SA520 (for future VPN with another remote desktop) and a switch of SG 300 - 10 p to connect 3 PCs and 3 IP PHONE. The SA 520 is the router. I have to configure 2 VLANS on the switch:

    VLAN2: DATA (for PC)

    VLAN3: VOICE (for IP PHONE)

    VLAN1: BY DEFAULT.

How can I configure simply all ports?

I would like to configure ports 1-4 on 5 to 8 ports and VLAN2, VLAN3 and G10 port is reserved for the SA520 router.

I want to split VOICE and DATA network.

    I think I need to create a trunk on G10 to SA520...

    Can someone help me?

    Hi Julien,

OK sounds like you use it vlan by default for network management and the vlan 2 for vlan3 for voice and data.

I use a calculator for this, my SA520 is ready at the present time.

Step 1   On the SA520 add vlan 2 and vlan 3 and label them voice and data respectively.

Step 2. Allows you to use the switch port 4 on the SA520 as a port to shared resources to the SG-300.

(my intent is to use vlan1 not tagged vlan tagged 2 and vlan tagged 3 on the uplink of the switch and the SA500.)

To do this, I have to say the SA520 port 4 of the switch will be in trunking and not access mode.

You will need to check the membership of vlan 2 and vlan 3 on switch port 4.

Step 3.  Now add a few IPS to VLAN2 and VLAN3

Step 4.  Create DHCP scopes if that is what is needed on the SA520

So now I hope that we have the SA520 with the associated IPS VLAN1, VLAN2 and VLAN3

We also have the switch port 4 as a network interface

We are vlan1 reproducing unidentified and vlan2 tag and tag to the SG-300 switch vlan3.

We do the opposite on the SG-300 switch.

If you use G10 as the uplink to the SA520 you'll notice of default port 10 must already be in trunk mode.

Switch ports G10 should be marked for vlan 2 and labelled for vlan3.  It will be, default Gi10 untagged for vlan1.

Make sure you keep ports switch is correctly set up.

    Best regards, Dave

For the second time in two months, all my messages in the Inbox are not there. Only the SUBJECT and the FROM is left.

Tried to 'fix this folder' and ALL - lost ALL the Inbox.

The file is still there and works well...

How can I stop it and what are the causes?

    Thank you all, Gabe

If you have the file somewhere on your hard drive, export and import tools it will be important back to Thunderbird.

  • How to export QuickTime without the narrative voice?

Hello.. I created a Keynote slideshow.

I created the "audio" for presentation using Garageband.

Then, I dropped the audio in my opening remarks.

Then I saved the slideshow to slides of my audio file of the time.

Now... when I try to export to Quicktime, it includes both my audio file as well as the "narrative voice", which was included when I recorded.

(Basically, it's my microphone pick up the audio of the presentation one I recorded it so it's like an echo and sounds terrible.)

I looked in the forum and in 2009, someone asked a similar question. The response was:

Remove the audio narration during the export to quicktime.

However, it seems not have this option in the latest version of Keynote.

Nobody knows the answer to that?

Let me know if you need a capture of screen or screencast for more precision.

    Thank you.

It's my microphone pick up the audio of the presentation one I recorded it so it's like an echo and sounds terrible.)

Stop recording the output of the speakers by either listening to the sound of the presentation of helmet, or put mute the speakers on the Mac using one of the following options:

    • Press mute on the keyboard
    • System preferences > Audio > output: then select the Mute check box

Remove the audio narration during the export to quicktime.

If you need voice over then you must keep in the presentation (why register for throw?)

However, it seems not have this option in the latest version of Keynote.

You can delete the recorded voice by clicking the clear button in: Inspector > Document > Audio

However this also remove orders to advance to the next generation and presentation slides
