SUPPORT WIZARD FAILURE ANALYSIS

When I try to do a scan using the HP Wizard's Support, it connects to the server, but it fails everything, except the last. What does that mean? It worked well but is more last month. I haven't added anything new. I disabled the firewall and anti-virus software nothing works. I am running Windows 7 64 bit on a laptop Pavilion DV6 - t.

Installation of HP programs will launch an error message saying that it is not for your system and stop the installation, HPSA is not model specific, only 2 different ones, laptop or desktop.

Try the HPSA.

HP support assistant sent me an urgent message (two exclamation points) saying "significant action" and that the windows firewall is disabled. I checked via the control panel windows firewall and it shows the windows firewall is enabled for public and private networks. Why is HP support assistant telling me that the firewall is off and windows shows the firewall on? Is the firewall enabled or not, and how can I solve this problem?

If the control panel it shows on so it's on. Sometimes there is a little problem with the wizard help only looking for the (trial) security software that comes on many HP computers. If your machine came with McAfee or Norton Security Suite and that you have uninstalled what may be what support assistant search. Just ignore the warning - should be an option to delete or ignore.

  • Failure analysis

    Can anyone help please:

printer 6510 series prints and copies fine and until a week ago was also quite happy scanning.  now, he says it is not connected to the computer.  It is on a wireless network and I ran a diagnostic test and nothing seems to be wrong.

Why should that be a problem?

    Hello jimmymac_fab,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see that you have not been able to scan for the week last using the Photosmart 6510, how ever you're still able to print and copy correctly.

What was the diagnostic test that you ran, by the sounds of it that a wireless test report was printed, is that correct? You try to scan with a Mac or Windows computer?

In the meantime, you can try the steps outlined in this document from HP: A Message appears "No computer found" during scanning. It covers the current operating systems compatible with the printer.

    Thanks for posting.

  • failure analysis of diode

I tried to design a problem for the analysis of the student - and tried two diodes in parallel - but with resistance

above and below of one of the diodes (diode therefore is not potential ground on each side).

Multisim failed to produce a DC solution.

    LTSpice worked well.

Then... How Multisim to produce good results?

Oh my! I don't see that.

I know what your problem is. The two sons that you named N3 and N4 to LTSpice are all two appointed 2 in Multisim. These two wires will be behave as if they are connected. We call this a virtual connection. To see the name of the net, double click on the wire. I also recommend that you put on the visibility of all the names of net for debugging:

    1. Click Options > properties sheet
    2. In the Circuit tab, click Show all in the net option box

You're not the first person to be victims of this behavior is not so obvious. We addressed this issue in our last version, Multisim 11. Virtually connected nets are explicitly designed with connectors now and it's much more difficult to police this kind of problem.

In the meantime, if you don't want to upgrade to Multisim 11, it is worth your while to upgrade your Multisim at 10.1.0.1. There was a bug in 10.1, which fixed us for 10.1.0.1 which could cause this strange behavior. The 10.1.0.1 update is available free of charge via OR Update Service.

    Hope that helps.

  • Is it possible to use the wizard to analysis of Microsoft with all-in-one HP Officejet 7410?

I have a HP Officejet 7410 connected to my system and it works well had to analyze the documents, that I prefer software that comes in the accessories of Windows XP. Naturally, the HP software overrides this facility and the scanner is not seen. Is it possible to make visible in the Microsoft program?

    Thanks for your suggestions.

If the printer is connected by USB cable, you should find the scanner icon in the control panel > Scanners and cameras. If you double-click on the icon of the scanner, it should start the wizard for scanning.

All other software updated with success, but Synaptic Touchpad Driver and software Cyberlink YouCam has failed to update.

No doubt there is a process that I have to finish before they will update successfully.  Anyone have any ideas?

  • Support Wizard updates on the Pavilion dv6, Messages of Info w / English incorrect, etc. - is this Normal?

I have a HP Pavilion dv6 notebook PC (product number: XZ082UA #ABA) running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. I was installing the updates through the HP Support Assistant and a message appeared on the screen saying that it was "flashing" system and that the keyboard and the touchpad work not for the next minute or so, but the message box has some points of grammar that just made me a bit paranoid that it wasn't true... "The touchpad, keyboard would be no function during the flash process". My laptop has been really hard and as a windows command prompt were popping up then open Windows Installer. I don't know, I could just be acting paranoid for no reason, this is my first time installation updates through this program, so I don't know if this is normal... Just be careful because an error message containing a bad computer destroyed English of my brother... So I was wondering if it is normal that the update process.

    Hello Skunk,

If the update takes place through the Support Assistant, you are fine.  "Flashing" is the correct term for this type of update.  It is always better to prevent than cure.

    Good luck!
