  A few days ago my toshiba notebook droped down. So far everything works well. Because he laptop is not able to access the WLAN.   You can ask a service provider authorized in your country. Guys can get in touch with Toshiba and order new parts for you. Just give them a call or write an email, that it takes only a few minutes. ;)

• LifeDrive power switch broken switch

  Help.  My Lifedrive is 4 years old and has worked well for the old technology.  However, the power switch broke.  In other words, it slips easily rather than move the on/off switch and does not have the power or not.  The last position has been LOCKED.  So I can't enter the data.  A soft reset brings to the top of the screen, but the screen has half shaded numbers and does not recongize being touched or tapped.  There seems to be nothing that works.  A hard reset is not possible because the on/off switch does not work.  Most of my data is synced with my computer.  But I did an interview with oral history and voice Memos do not sync for palm desktop.  So my questions are: 1) does anyone know how to activate a locked Lifedrive with a broken switch for power on / off?  (2) someone knows how to retrieve voice memos to a unit in this condition? (3) does anyone know how to fix a switch broke on a palmOne Lifedrive?  Really hope someone can help.

  

  This is what it looks like after removing the plastic shell.  The piezoelectric speaker is attached to the plastic shell.

  

  Disconnect the battery from the motherboard.  I use a small Flathead screwdriver to separate the connectors softly.

  

  Remove the battery disconnected.

  Write it now, numbers 1 to 4 on the pieces of blue plastic that supports the microdrive; in this way, you won't get lost as all back you together.

  

  The microdrive is connected to the interface of CF. There is a sticker of warning placed on the lower part of the microdrive and interface see cut carefully through the sticker between the CF card and the microdrive with the tip of the knife.  Gently, remove the microdrive from the CF interface with a flat head screw metal or equivalent.

  
  Now the microdrive (in my case, a memory of 32 GB compact flash) is half disconnected from the interface CF.  Continue, making sure not to damage the delicate pins.

  

  Congratulations!  Completely unplugged.

  

  Remove the microdrive (or CF memory).

  

  Disconnect the cable of the microphone of the motherboard in the same way you did to speaker wires.

  Unplug the connector for a another movie cable gently with a plastic or equivalent flat head screw.

  

  Remove the two very short torx screws.

  

  Finally, the motherboard is thrown, and you can see what happened to the switch.

  

  The central internal switch at the top of the motherboard has proved to be in the locked position.

  

  One of the two legs of the plastic piece was found to be broken.  The other leg looked ok.

  

  I slipped inside switch to the unlocked position manually.

  I think that your internal switch is not broken.

  

  Put the motherboard back such as the plastic piece can slide the internal switch to turn on or off position.  Be careful not to break the other leg healthy in this process!

  Put everything back together carefully.  You start your Lifedrive, you will notice that the date and time are the default, put it so well.   Good luck to you!

• AppleTv Voice Search works do not with iTunes

  Just bought a new 64 GB Apple TV.

  • I've exhausted every effort to try to make the voice search to recognize the information in my personal iTunes library.  Music finds it but that is because I paid for iTunes game.
    • I tried to rebuild the spotlight database
    • disabled firewall
    • everything under network shared
  • and AppleTv simply refuses to account for the iTunes library when it comes to research.

  AppleTv can all play on my iTunes, which means that it is reading the information under the COMPUTER icon, but because the unemployment insurance and the COLOR scheme is the worst the OFFICE365, I literally stand foot 1 since the screen just to see where the displaced white switch broken box, otherwise by selecting the wrong item can be costly in time and patience.

  If someone has figured out how to make the voice search works or CAN TELL ME HOW TO CHANGE the color scheme I would really appreciate it.

  Hello all and thanks to anyone who responds! I'm pretty clueless when it comes to computers, so I hope it's just something simple.

  I am running Windows Vista Home Premium with a Presario F700. The processor is AMD Athlon X 2, processor Dual-Core TK - 55 1.80 GHz. 958 MB RAM and 32 - bit operating System.I don't know if you need this information but better safe than sorry. OK for the problem.

  The computer is supposed to be wireless, but I cannot make it work. When I go to Device Manager in a single Normal boot device shows. It is said: NVIDIA nForce 10/100 Mbps Ethernet #2. I'm not sure what that means, but he says that this device does not work correctly. I couldn't HP Wireless Assistant to work so I followed some advice that I've seen an uninstalled but that did not help at all. I'm sure that's not my firewall is disabled. And I use Norton Security, but I don't know which is not affecting him either since it was a problem before I installed Norton.

  Also, if I boot mode safe more things highlighted in Device Manager. He wasn't that anything listed in the order of boot on an adapter until recently, and it's at the bottom of the list with an exclamation mark next to it. However, the exclamation point is now gone, but NIC is always at the end of the list. I also ran the check disk thing, and he came back fine. I ran a full scan of the system without any problems but a few tracking cookies. I tried to uninstall in safe mode and start back to normal to leave the computer to reinstall without success. I also used the option reset back to the factory. While time consuming which did not help either.

  If anyone has any ideas as to what I can I would be very happy. I'm hoping to give this computer to my brother as a Christmas gift. Sorry for the long post but I wanted to make sure I was as complete as possible to save everyone time. Thanks again. And if I missed any information please let me know and I'll fix it.

  If reset you to factory, it should work.  It is a switch broken (I don't him think) a motherboard problem or probable internal problems with the wireless. Take it to a store because it is a common problem with these computers.

  I have problems with my new Lenovo Thinkpad X230i lid switch and I would ask you how to test if the lid switch is physically broken.   switch cover on the X 220 and X 230 is triggered by a magnet. The laptop enter the BIOS menu, then use a magnet and see if that turns off the display. IF this is your lid switch is working properly and the problem you are experiencing is most likely software. If it isn't then it is broken, and you need to replace.

  Unfortunately I'm not sure there is much you can do.  You can search for a store local tech and see what they suggest, but I suspect that the files on the drive went into the bit bucket in the sky.

• Can satellite L50-B-1 p 1 ODD broken - I switch to Windows 10?

  I got a new Toshiba Satellite laptop last Christmas and in the month of August, I dropped it!

  Basically, he fell from the arm of the couch when I used it. The only damage that I could detect was the CD player door opened and when I tried to close it is stuck fast centimeter about half to be fully closed. As far I could see everything worked perfectly, and I rarely use the cd player, so it was a problem, I could live with.

  It was a couple of months. Since then, I've noticed a couple of small glitches when using the laptop - mainly File Explorer crashes out when I try to sort the photo folders. I had no chance to try to correct this problem with the help of internet forums - the problem could be a result of dropping the phone, but there seems to be a bug and others had met too. Then I started thinking that maybe a window refresh or upgrade to Windows 10 could help.

  It's then that I found another problem that indicates more damage I had at first glance - the laptop is no longer recognized my drive optical cd. No icons anywhere and no sign even of all the drivers in Device Manager does not. I did a scan on the hard drive, but it does detect no error - I guess it could have been some if the HARD drive has been damaged by the fall.

  Even if the laptop is still under warranty from the manufacturer, I'm guessing that damage from falling is not covered, and repairs etc would have to pay for. I am reluctant to pay for the repairs, a car that I don't need.

  So I'm looking for a little advice really. The the bottom line is - I just really need to the CD player - I can re - install all my software from the HARD drive or the web and apart from that, I'm probably not need again.

  So I can only do a refresh Windows 8.1, or even go directly to the upgrade of Windows 10 or either of those who will store up trouble in the future given the hardware not recognized?
  Is it possible that one of these actions would actually recognize the optical CD drive and re-install again?
  There is always the physical problem of a CD player door that is stuck. I don't need in this player, but must it be fixed before the update or upgrade?

• Can I switch from Sprint to Verizon with my new 6 s iPhone?

  I already know that I have my iPhone unlocked by Sprint for what I might want to do, but I'm afraid that CDMA differences do not only allow the switch.

  A few weeks ago I got the side window of the driver of my broken car on and they stole my 6 +.  The replacement company quickly sent me a new phone but did not have the 6 + 128 they upgraded me to a 6 s + 128 in only 2 days.  It was great.  Sprint also unlocked my phone for international use the day after that (like my 6 + was also because I do not travel internationally and sometimes quite unexpectedly.)

  I realize that there is a completely different service for unlocking a phone on the internal market and I have not attempted only in part because the device was not on the network for 50 days.  It's very well because my Sprint plan does not end before October so I'll just wait until there to switch to Verizon.

  I would like to use my iPhone with me to Verizon, but I don't know if CDMA on the new phones of world model 6s are more compatible than were the 'old'.  I know that iPhones for a few years who were enslaved to Sprint had a slightly different nomenclature number due to the requirements of the Sprint network, in fact, is this always true?
