Synchronize the names wrong gets to delete files remotely

Synchronize has a checkbox option "delete files remotely not on the local server", but this won't work for me.

Sync overview lists the correct files, EXCEPT the first letter of each file name or folder is missing. For example, "index2.html" is indicated as "ndex2.html".

because of this bug, none of the files are deleted from the server. (DW CS3, all the updates applied, Mactel 10.5.2)

I'm surprised that I don't see that this problem reported elsewhere... so maybe there are some settings that making ruin for me?

Downloads work fine. Do not know download - not yet tested.

Any ideas?

Thank you
Karl

I had the same problem and found a solution. In the "host directory"field of the setup of the Site Info to the definition/Remote, which was initially empty, I entered"... /" (without the quotes). That solved the problem. I tried to change it back a couple of times and verified than just that one change caused the "remove Synchronize missing first letter bug" to come and go.

The idea that the problem had something to do with the host directory entry came after an assignment 'Big Frank' 2002 (link below) in which he solved his problem by removing one / of the same box. In my case, the bug appeared when I switched to using a main FTP account that had access to a lot of Web sites on the same server, to a sub - FTP account that could only access the folder associated with a Web site. Sync perfectly worked when I used the main FTP account and was something like /mydomain.com/ in the directory of the host area, but when I went to the sub - FTP account and allowed the host directory entry, the bug to remove Sync appeared.

I have no idea why the... / is necessary, or why it even works. It kinda a strange looking remote display to see the root appearing directory as "/... /". "." But it works.

I found a bunch of messages showing that Dreamweaver users have suffered from this bug since at least 2002 in several versions of the software. Adobe - it is high time to address them.

BTW... under way to test this, at some point I just put a ' / ' in the host directory field. It does not solve the original problem, and it introduced a strange new in which Dreamweaver wanted to remove some folders on the server that have been "hidden". Very strange.

Here is a link to "Big Frank" post:

  • Get the name/path of current .cfm file...

    I'll make a script of "tracking" for a Web site.  My idea is to add a < CFINCLUDE > to each server the .cfm file (at the very end, it would be easier to remove when im done), and have the included script add a record to a database containing the path/file name of the .cfm file.  for example, index.cfm will include trackscript.cfm, and after the treatment the index.cfm a database will be a record in this container path/name of the file to index.cfm.

    I'm new to coldfusion, but I think that I got it, except on the way to get the name of the file that will be added to the database.  is there some kind of function or variable available that will give me the name of the file running .cfm?

    GetCurrentTemplatePath() will give you the absolute path of the current CFM file.

  • Alter tablespace name wrong when creating data file

    Hello

    While creating a data file, I used alter tablespace name wrong.
    For example,.
    I used:
    ALTER TABLESPACE ADD datafile APPS_TS_SEED ' / d01/oracle/stkmnfun/db/apps_st/data/a_txn_data05.dbf' size 1024M;

    Correct one:
    ALTER TABLESPACE ADD datafile APPS_TS_TX_DATA ' / d01/oracle/stkmnfun/db/apps_st/data/a_txn_data05.dbf' size 1024M;

    I have created a more a_txn_data06 with the correct STORAGE space...
    But, did anyone know how this can be corrected?

    Thanks in advance,

    As long as it has not at all affected in this data file, you can deposit with
    alter tablespace... datafile drop...

    Kind regards

  • get the names of Get-ScsiLun data store

    Im stuck here...  Can anyone help me to get the names of data store for storage devices using the script below? My requirement is to get the naa (ConsoleDeviceName) address and the names of data store for each storage device.

    $esxName = "esxsrv1".

    $report = @)

    Get-ScsiLun - VmHost $esxName - LunType "disk". %{

    $row = "" | Select the host, ConsoleDeviceName, model, provider

    $row.host = $esxName

    $row. ConsoleDeviceName = $_. ConsoleDeviceName

    $row.vendor = $_. Name of the vendor

    $row.model = $_. Model

    $report += $row

    }

    $report | Export Csv c:\Temp\results.csv - NoTypeInformation

    Thank you very much, Kev - o

    Try it like this

    $esxName = "esxsrv1"

    $dsTab = @{}
    foreach($ds in (Get-Datastore -VMHost $esxName | where {$_.Type -eq "vmfs"})){
        $ds.Extensiondata.Info.Vmfs.Extent | %{
            $dsTab[$_.DiskName] = $ds.Name
        }
    }

    $report = @()
    Get-ScsiLun -VmHost $esxName -LunType "disk" | %{

        $row = "" | Select Host, ConsoleDeviceName, Vendor, Model, Datastore    $row.host = $esxName    $row.ConsoleDeviceName = $_.ConsoleDeviceName
        $row.vendor = $_.Vendor
        $row.model = $_.Model
        $row.Datastore = &{
            if($dsTab.ContainsKey($_.CanonicalName)){
                $dsTab[$_.CanonicalName]
            }
        }
        $report += $row}

    $report |Export-Csv c:\Temp\results.csv -NoTypeInformation

    The script begins by creating a hash table where he maps the CanonicalName with the DatastoreName.

    In the 2nd part of the script of the hash table is used to find the DatastoreName through the CanonicalName.

    It contained a real data file? Or was it a backup controlfile? A backup controlfile may be outdated if another backup controlfile does not capture the same information it contains.

  • Synchronize the message - cannot get rid of

    I am a new user of rocket with a question.  I only use the "rocket" of audiobooks, and I pulled out all the pre-programmed music.  I do not have a subscription to Rhapsody or any other music service, but the message still comes back to "synchronize my music" and doesn't let me listen to the book I downloaded.  Is there a way to remove this message?  I've tried everything!

    It is a misleading message.

    What it means in fact do you have "protected" files with trash digital-rights - your audio books - which requires authorization of your computer to play. You need to know what kind of books they are - NetLibrary, Audible, what they are - and look at the help files for the provider. You probably have transfer books via a drive on your computer which also runs the digital rights info, that is hidden from the user. You can't just copy the files, as you have discovered.

    The reason for the confusing message is that Rhapsody works the same way, with the protected files, and someone at SanDisk was not think other uses digital-rights.

  • Cannot get back deleted files path torn

    I have seen no response, I managed to delete the path to rip as files.  I also managed to remove the directory Pop in outlook.  I don't know enough about the registry to put them back where they are recognized again.  All Tips how to recover my ability to Rip?

    Is that the kind of restoration sysem thing is designed for, you offering has recently done and can locate a restore point before the incident in question. (Control Panel - Action Center - restore to an earlier time)

    Try first (if you haven't done so already) and let us know how it goes before you try other patches.

  • Is it possible to save your project who keeps only files that are used in the order and get rid of files that you do not use?

    my project is at an advanced stage now, a lot of media loaded up and its got to the point where the project keeps "forgetting" his makes (the line goes to yellow when it should be green)

    I assume that this may be due to the face that I have a lot of media loaded upward there now, including many from the effects of exports which should be large enough

    so, I would like to save the project or export the project in such a way so that it retains only the bare minimum of files that im actually... better still, use if she maintained only the part of the files that are used and stripes out of the rest, but maybe it's wishful thinking?

    I also wonder if I could save the project, bringing files in a separate folder, only the files used in the project

    I'd love to, having someone take the time to clear this up for me.  Thank you

  • get the name of a directory file and insert it into a table

    Hello

    I have a requirement, I need to read the name of a Linux directory file and enter the file name in a variable,

    After that, I need to insert this file name in a table.

    EX: is it a file1.txt in Yearbook of the CBA, and I read that 'file name' in the v_file_name variable and I'm going to insert this file name in a table.

    Hello

    I think you've got your request of replied by Chantal.
    Shoul you have a kind of intelience in the name of the file itself so that ODI retrieves the correct file and insert into the table.

    Thank you

  • DAC does not synchronize the tables of Informatica

    Hello

    I'm new to OBIEE although I experience Informatica. I created a mapping and the workflow. DAC, I created the new folder logical and physical. Creates a new task and provided the name of the task and logical record and other details. When I try to "Synchronize the tasks", I get a message of success with the names of the tables as expected. The DAC journal file is below.

    -The Sync task has begun-

    Requested workflow is exported to C:\DAC\dac\repository\taskSync\.

    New source/target tables are inserted in the DAC metadata.

    Exported xml files are removed from C:\DAC\dac\repository\taskSync.

    -Sync task completed.

    It is not question of DAC with Informatica repository communication or integration service as connection test results are ok.

    In Windows command prompt, pmcmd and pmrep works fine.

    Can you please help me out here, as I'm stuck here and not able to go further.

    I checked the DAC server log. It shows a serious error. I copy the same thing here.

  • How can I add the same properties to the __names of a series of files

    I would like to add a few properties on the front of several files. instaead clicking Rename and add them one by one, how can I add the same properties in the names of a series of files

    Hello Ronke2009,

    Welcome to the Microsoft Answers Community!

    Using the function rename in Windows results in action that you said earlier, with all records even renamed with a number appended to the end. You can get the service you are looking for with a third party tool. A good search Bing.com for these would be something like Bulk Rename Utility or editor to rename block.

    Using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

    Hope that helps, I look forward to hearing from you.

    Do you mean the name of a Windows of a remote computer logon account? There is more than one because Windows 7 allows multiple concurrent interactive sessions. In any case, this could point you in the right direction:

    PsExec \\NameOfPC cmd.exe / user: YourUserName
    PsLoggedOn
    The first command will not work unless you have an account admin on the remote machine.
    You can download the PS tools from here.
