    Since I have Windows 7 I was not able to play the Midis on my computer... I gave several times on this because I was never able to produce any type of error in relation to it.

    So, today I thought I would get a Midi player and had Midi SoundFont player and when I turned it on. I got this error:

    Thank you for the update.

    The question is limited to any file in particular?

    Windows Media Player supports midi files.

    I suggest you run the fix for the Player Windows media related question library and check.

  • PS5 will not change the date registration

    PS5 will not change the date when I save a document I'm working. I tried save as and save and it keeps the date of the photo, in this case, a scanned image that swept the 09/07/11 @ 15:49. I saved many iterations of the PhotoShop photo and the date remains the same. I tried it with other photos and even once, it retains the original date. If I open in AI5 and save it, he recorded with the current date. Am I missing something here?

    I use the current build 12.0.4 x 64, Win7 Home Premium

    PAM

    Chances are Windows found the folder a folder "photo", and explore does NOT show you the date of the modified file.

    Personally, I hate having "automatically" selected multiple views for me, and I tweaked my copy of Windows so that it always shows me the "General items" view all records, be they full of photos or music or something else.

    You can check this by clicking on the name of the folder in the Navigation of Explorer (left), and then selecting Properties.  On the Customize tab, see what it says in the "optimize this folder for:"selector. ".  If it is different from the general items, change it to general Articles.  This gets you a good "Date Modified" column, indicating the date of the file.

    If you want to make a permanent change to Windows 7 (so all new folders are displayed in the form of General items in the folders, and automatic display selection is disabled), a value can be added to (or changed in) the registry as follows:

    Registry key: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\Bags\AllFolders\Shell]

    Name of the Data Type value

    FolderType REG_SZ NotSpecified

  • Error 17-Windows will not load past the splash screen, and system repair has no effect...

    Hi all, my problem is the following. Off my laptop the night before, an upgrade has been installed as usual. However, when I tried to start my computer the next day, I was meeting with a choice of operating systems, one was vista and one was something called "openSUSE 11.2 installer (NET).» Of course I wanted to choose vista, but when selected has been sent to a screen that read (sorry for the amount of the entry).

    Start "openSUSE 11.2 installer (NET)".

    (hd, 1)

    Specifien type is ntfs, partition type 0 x 7

    /openSUSe/ kernel linux devfs = mount, dall ramdisk_size = 65536 = ftp install: //ftp4.g wdg.de/pub/opensuse/distribution/SL-OSS-factory/inst-source/ server = ftp4.gwdg.de lang = en splash silent vga = 0x31A

    Error 17: File not found

    I don't know much about this sort of thing, so he thought better to include everything I could. At first, I tried to reload Vista, but it just opened the same screen, so found the vista disc that came with the laptop and it is stuck in. I ran sytem repair and system restore and both have had no effect.

    I'd appreciate any help is sorting this point, but if I have to reinstall vista (what I hear the hard disk wipes), is it possible to backup all my files to be reintergrated later.

    Thanks for any help!

    After installing above ISO burning software, right click on the Knoppix ISO file > copy the Image to a CD.

    Knoppix is not installed on your PC; use only the resources of your PC, RAM, graphics etc.

    Change the boot order in YOUR computer/laptop to the CD/DVD Drive 1st in the boot order.

    Plug a Flash Drive/Memory Stick, BOOT with the Live CD, and you should be able to read the hard drive.

    When the desktop loads, you will see at least two drive hard icons on the desktop (one for your hard drive) and one for the USB key.

  • repair Windows XP registry needed. (windows live care scanner errors found but will not fix them)

    I am running Windows XP with IE 8 and Norton 360. I do updates regularly and also use the Windows Live One Care Safety Scanner. Each Analyzer detects a problem sometimes, and fix it. The Windows tool still found some problems in my registry and fixes some but not all. I'm still running a slow processor but there are times when the hard drive starts to crank and system enters a State bound upward to do something that takes forever and finally unlocks. If I look in the Task Manager, it is usually System Idle Process and ccsvchst.exe which is cranking up the numbers in the use of CPU time CPU and MEM. I have also a ton of svchost.exe running. I would like an easy way of fixing and removal of registry problems and then making sure the running processes are legitimate and not set not a priority as they seem to be. Thank you.

    If you have a problem with ccsvchst.exe, you do not have a problem with XP - you have a problem with Norton and it has long discussed performance and ccsvchst.exe problems accompanying the Norton forums.

    No single AV tool seems to know everything and Norton is whatever is not because your system is not infected.  It simply means that Norton doesn't find anything he knows.  If all goes well, you use more than one tool of analysis, but not more than one both if there is a real time involved protection they'll get in the way of the other.

    In some reviews, Norton has a reputation as one of the most famous system CPU and memory hog on the market - you could not picked up too more than AV tools with a more unfavorable reputation in this area, but some people really seem to it.  I think it's too fresh generals.

    You can temporarily uninstall it (using their special uninstall of course), reboot and see how your system works without him and then decide if keeping it is 'worth it' or consider broadening your horizons AV a bit.

    You can find out exactly how long your system takes to start down to the tenth of a second and determine exactly how long each process takes to start and then decide what to do (as opposed to guess).  For example, I know that my system takes exactly 28,03 seconds to start.

    When you see a report and a chart of your startup process full of one end to the other, it's more revealing and informative.  If you want to do this, we can tell you how.

    Unfortunately, the forums MS Answers don't ask not even basic on a system information when a new question is asked, so we know almost nothing about your system.

    If you want to talk a bit, follow these steps:

    Please provide additional information on your system:

    Click Start, run and enter in the box:

    Msinfo32

    Click on OK and when the system info summary appears, click on Edition, select all, copy, and then paste the information here.

    There will be some personal information (such as the user name and the name of the system), and anything that turns information private for you, simply delete the pasted information.

    You can also take a screenshot of your task manager or process and post it for review and analysis (there is an example below).

    This is my standard copy/paste on the way to understand the multiple svchost process (what a ton of them means to you) that you see in the Task Manager:

    You may be able to get clues with what is happening with your svchost process using the Task Manager and maybe understand.

    You will always be able to understand what is happening with your svchost process if you use Process Explorer.

    Download Process Explorer, so you can see what is 'really' running on your system, especially behind those svchosts several process see you in the running task manager.

    Download Process Explorer from here:

    http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/Sysinternals/bb896653.aspx

    You'll like Process Explorer when you get the hang of it.  Process Explorer is the Manager of Windows taskbar on steroids.

    Process Explorer installs nothing so it won't slow down your system since it works only on request.

    Process Explorer can seem a little intimidating at first because it has so much information, but you will begin to make love the way it works when you're looking for performance problems.   You can even say EP you want it to be your new default 'Task Manager' value in the future.  You can always run the original tasks as Manager.

    Once you get Process Explorer running, expand the columns, made drag the corners of the screen for it's largest, etc., so you can see as much information as possible in the window.  Now you can really see what is running on the system.

    Here's a screenshot of my poor system when I use Process Explorer:

    http://img222.imageshack.us/img222/2567/ProcessExplorer.PNG

    The CPU column is usually the most interesting start with performance issues - which uses the most?

    It is OK and normal to have several svchost running processes.  Important XP Services are actually runs under the svchost process. There are sometimes an XP Service that runs under a svchost process, sometimes there are several Services in XP, which runs under the svchost process.

    Sometimes malware will hide behind a svchost process because the malware knows that you won't be able to find it in the Task Manager.  He will hide behind a svchost.exe process to deceive you, but you can outsmart it.

    Malicious software can disguise itself also seems to be a legitimate process of XP or he could hide under/behind other processes that you see running in Task Manager if you can't see the execution.

    The malware would trick you into thinking you must use a System Restore Point, run a repair install or reinstall your XP from scratch when you really don't.

    Looking at the display in process Explorer, you want the CPU most to be associated with the system idle process.  It's 'free time' on your system, so more time there, more free.

    If you look at the graphs of performance and see red spikes (or not) double click the graphic in the upper left corner to display the graph to use.  Move the mouse over any pics to see what are the causes.  Even if the Spike has already scroll screen, you can still move the mouse over the edge to see what caused.  You can also just wait for a pic to happen and then see what caused the Spike.

    To help understand your process svchost and what is running under them, read this article and you will be smarter than the average bear:

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial129.html

    Then with a few Google searches, you can watch every thing running behind your svchost process and Process Explorer and see what it is and decide if your configuration needs it or not and then decide what to do about this.

    If you think you have a svchost.exe process amok, run using Process Explorer, you can right-click that offensive svchost, properties and on the Services tab and son, you can see which runs under it.

    There is a CPU column it will expand (make the wider column) so that you can see CPU.  Maybe you can spot what background process is so CPU consumption under the svchost.exe process.   Stroll under the svchost process and you will find the problem.

    You can also see what is running under each svchost simply by pointing your mouse on the svchost.exe process.  Some of them have just a things working under them and some will have several things (I hope that all the legitimate XP services) and some will have a lot of things.

    If you have a svchost process that is afflicted, which runs under your afflicted?

    No running process must defy reasonable explanation.

    First, see what you can find using Process Explorer, then if nothing is obvious, additional advice.

  • My first system restore date is July 30, 2009, and I need a date of previous restoration to eliminate a virus! Help, please!

    I discovered a terrible virus named muwiropu.dll that I tried to get rid of weeks using a variety of anti-virus programs, nothing helps. It was 'created' July 6, 2009 according to its properties. At this point, I thought I should choose a "restore point" before this date - but the first 'date of the restoration', I see it as an option on my computer is on July 30, 2009. I tried to 'free' space to see if it could remedy the situation, but not drive. Other ideas to find somehow an earlier date to restore or to get rid of this virus? Basically, what I run, especially all the programs at startup, give me this error message (sometimes 25 times in a row): "the application or DLL"C:\Windows\system32\muwiropu.dll is not a valid Windows image. " Please check this against your installation diskette. "I don't know what to do to do this, go away!

    I read the messages on how to choose a date of system restore, but not how to find dates earlier than that displayed automatically.

  • System Dell DataSafe recovery media will not identify key USB

    I am trying to create a system restore USB recovery and DataSafe does not recognize my USB.  I use a 16g SanDisk Cruzer stick, and it does not recognize any of the 4 ports USB (2.0) on my system I use it (No. USB key ' detected').  My system recognizes the stick very well... I can drag and drop onto the key using Windows Explorer.  I tried to format the stick in NTFS or FAT32 and still no go.  Well, to tell you the truth, I guess I can go out and get another USB key.  In fact, DataSafe acknowledges a Lexar stick I have, but it's just a stick of 1 g and I came out and me a larger stick knowing at least 9g would be necessary.  DataSafe does not recognize that SanDisk USB sticks that anyone knows of?  Did I just waste $ 10 on a USB?

    02TBIRD,

    You can find the version number of Dell backup and recovery by opening the application by clicking on the "?" in the upper right corner and go to the 'about '.  If your version number is older than 1.6.2.4, you must click on the "Update" tile in the main screen.

    We have solved many problems of detection of backup and restore Dell v1.6.2.4 USB.

    When you go to the "Update" page, make sure that the "Automatically check updates" is checked.  In this way, you will automatically get updates as we post them.

  • How can I add multiple system restore dates?

    I want to do a system restore. There are several dates of restoration listed, but I need to pick a date more back that all listed. How can I do this? It seems to me that I used to be able to click on a date on the calendar. Thank you

    The number of restore points is limited by the amount of storage that are attributed to them.

    You can increase this space by typing create a restore point in the start search box and press ENTER.

    Then select your C: drive in the list and select Configure.

    Move the slider to add more storage space.

    There is no calendar in Windows 7 for restore points.

    Hello

    I am also having this problem.
    I'll include my script below but will state some details before
    We are on Essbase 11.1.1.3
    I'm running the administration Console of my PC client that connects to the server in the script and I read that in this whole file error message won't get written. This documentation has been to v 9.1.3

    Here is my script (I've changed the names)
    Login ' user '' password' server ';

    create the application "Money1' as 'Money2.

    coil stderr to 'errorfile ';

    import the database 'Money1'.' Hand ' data
    text local data_file 'Money1_Data.txt '.
    using the server rules_file 'Data3 '.
    Error adding to 'dataload.err ';

    run the calculation 'ALL CALC'; on 'Money1'.' Hand ';

    disconnection;
    spool off;
    "exit";

    Here's the error output I get:

    line of code: error add to 'dataload.err ';
    The statement executed with warnings.
    (3) close syntax error ["$"]

    I don't see a sign of dollar anywhere in my code and the file of errors did not occur.

    Also error files get written too if the actines are running in the background?

    Thank you!
    Alex

    It works for me in a MaxL script run through essmsh.exe:

    import database appname.dbname data from local text data_file "d:\\datafilename.txt" using server rules_file "rulename"
         on error write to "d:\\errorfilename.err" ;

    Sometimes EAS (I think that you run through this) did weird things to MaxL. I avoid MaxL in EAS as much as possible (such as 100% of the time).

    NB - the datafilename and errorfilename and their drive letters are local to each time that you run this process through the MaxL shell. I don't know how it works when you run EAS - are local drives to your local session on the server of the EAS? Don't know. Leave EAS, buy TextPad (no I'm not the author of this beautiful product) and download syntax MaxL library and be happy. :)

    Kind regards
