T3600 UDIMM

What is the maximum size and UDIMM speed I can use in a T3600 (635w).  The manual is not a table of supported memory configurations.  I want to use the 4-8GB 1600 Mhz UDIMM and run at 1600 Mhz.  Is this possible?

Thank you!

Crucial.com sells kits with 3 x 8 GB RAM memory for this model, some to 1.35 V and others at 1.5 V. Which includes the DDR3-1600 so I guess it's an acceptable configuration. Crucial guarantees their RAM works or that they take it back.

RDIMMS apparently needs a bigger power supply and will not work with a 425W PSU, according to a note on the Crucial page.

I'll ping my contact Dell Tech to see if they can help. It may take a day or 3 for one of them to answer.

  • x 8 connection distance MXI causes conflicts with my on my Dell Precision T3600 PCI slot

    Hi all

The easiest to say is that I am migrating from a x 4 MXI explicit connection to an x 8 MXI express connection and when I do I get an error on the motherboard which is unable to load the single PCI slot.

Error in WIn7 64 bit Device Manager reports a yellow exclamation point

    Device "Intel (r) 82801 PCI Bridge - 244 properties"

The error listed in the device status box: "this device does not work properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31) »

Unfortunately, I need this slot machine to run a card calendar to conjucton with PXI hardware. There is no anomaly when I used the x 4 connections with virtually the same loadout except for one Exchange a PXI-5122 (x 4 config) to SMU 5122 (x 8 config).

If I leave the MXI PCIe card in but do not connect to chassis PCI slot SMU (and the fine card appear.)

If I remove the PCI card into the slot, the error still occurs.

I swapped the x 8 card and NVidia graphics card without success (the 16 x only two slots).

I photographed the reader and removed the H310 Dell PERC RAID card and charged the RAID array RAID integrated Intel C600 and still no change.

I have updated BIOS to A07 to latest A08.

I updated the Intel Chipset at the latest on the Dell Web site.

I guess that I just wonder at this point if someone is able to run a x 8 MXI express at SMU with a Dell Precision T3600, T5600 or a T7600 chassis.

After much work by NI Applications Engineer Kyle K, this problem has been resolved.

I'll post the solution to this PC dependent problem here, just in case it will help others in a similar situation.

It seems that Dell sometimes uses one default BIOS quite restrictive on the number of PCI bus in these (and other). By allowing several PCI bus, you will be able to list all the devices in the sacrifice of some memory available for OS 32 bit running on 4 GB of RAM. No problem for me because I'm under 64 bit OS.

Congratulations to Kyle even if he has not posted here yet for him give real congratulations.

Noise coming from headphones that are connected to the telephone jack of heat before, however, I tried to connect with rear headphone jack is good. I am looking to buy a Dell T3600 and want to upgrade the processor.

It is an upgrade of the Bios that will allow me to install an E5 2670 - v3 ES 12 core cpu.

The current specs say that it accepts up to 8 core processors

    Thank you for your time.

  • Impossible to install new Windows 7-64 on T3600

We have a new T3600 of bare metal only supplied with a Free-DOS disk (no DELL drivers CD) and you try to install Windows 7-64.

The machine has two integrated SAS no RAID disk drives. No PERC card in the system.

After booting from the W7 DVD, we arrive at the point of installation "install drivers" and are the drivers from the site of support on a USB, but nothing works.

    I tried

    and

There are drivers for the cards SAS H310 and H710 but I think you said that you did not have one of these cards installed.

I see a Pre-os iRSTe SAS 32-bit of Windows 7 and Vista separately driver in the list, 64-bit not mentioned.

And then below that, there is a Pre-os driver Win7 32 and 64 bits for the controller Intel C600 UCS. Maybe this is the rub. It is possible that you may need to install the C600 driver and then click the Refresh button to view the volumes.

    downloads.dell.com/.../RSTe_f6_iaStorS_64_ZPE.exe

And based on the name of the driver I would bet this is the one you need.

I would like to give a try to this one (unless it's one you already have).

  • Capacity of the disk T3600

We have 2 Dell T3600 we have, but I have a question regarding the capacity of the disk. In my opinion, they don't have 2 slots of discs but the spec to say you can add others.

I'm assuming that they're talking about removing the DVD drive and insert some type of door.

I don't have to watch. I need to insert an SSD in the DVD slot and other passers-by would take a multi-plate 2.

They have a car to put in containing a drive and on the front plate?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Dell Precision T3600 problem with feedback headphones

    Hi all

I recently acquired a new Dell Precision T3600 (in January 2013). However, I got a problem with your comments when I insert earphones into the headphone jack on the front of the office. The noise can be described as a sizzling/humming noise that is loud to the point that it is too distracting to listen to the audio through it. You can hear in the headphones, however, comments are always present and distracting. I also used several different headphones to exclude that, as the problem.

I'd love to hear from others if it is a common problem with this system. I've read elsewhere that it could be a problem with the graphics card from NVIDIA, but I'm not sure.

    Kind regards

    Shaun.

    Some components of the system:

    -Intel Xeon CPU E5-1603

    -OS Windows 7

    -Graphics NVIDIA NVS 300

    This should answer your question.

I just got a T3600 and will contact them to get the front i/o Panel replaced.

  • T3600 Audio static Front

I have a constant level of noise from the input jack audio front panel on my new T3600 of accuracy, making it unusable.  The noise continues after the change of pilots, replace the motherboard, replacing all of the front panel. While leaving the issue unresolved.  I think it's maybe bad electrical design creating a ground loop, as in this case: http://en.community.dell.com/owners-club/alienware/f/3746/p/19306182/19663232.aspx

Dell now wants to trade my whole system, but I suspect half replacement could have the same problem.  Everyone knows about this problem? After three inept service dispatches, I am more upset by the effort required to solve this problem.

    Hi JoeBlunt and Victor Bravo,

As Victor Bravo said, it's a part that we can ship by mail and can be replaced by our customers. The steps to replace the i/o Panel are described on page 30 of the manual here: support.euro.dell.com/.../OM_en.pdf

If you or one of our clients have problems to replace this part, our technical support team will be more than happy to help.

Thanks again, hope you all have a good weekend when it comes.

  • Dell T3600, card Nvidia NVS 510 Quad...

Hi, updated the video card to an Nvidia NVS 295 (dual) to the NVS 510, one card four. Four identical LCD, Dell U2410, (1920 x 1200). I have all the DVI cables, but they are not the same cables, but all are DVI. The NVIDIA NVS 510 has four connectors Compact Mini DisplayPort (mDP). So far, all is well... However, my workstation Dell (T3600) sees the two monitors. I used the Nvidia Control Panel, Microsoft screen resolution (right click on the desktop to bring up), still not able to get all four monitors going. I have two years of my Dell warranty, but since I did not buy the video card in Dell left, it does not cover this new card. Any suggestions? Thank you. PS Site a link FRO of Nvidia

Has taken care of this problem myself... Disconnected from everything. Reset the graphics card. And when I plugged back it it, it worked! (I spent several hours one afternoon trying to find the problem). All's well that ends well! :)

  • power 8 pin in T3600?

I have a T3600 with 635w power supply.  I want to put a video in card that has two 8-pin power connectors.  The T3600 I has two connectors 6 pins, which come from a single connector 8 pins on the power supply Board.  Is there another cable that provides two power connectors 8 pins of the power supply Board?  Or is tinkering something or adapters kluge-y the only solution?

Each power connector 8 pins is estimated at 300Watts so jury rig something does not work.  You need a better diet or 850W.  A standard conversion takes 2 six pin and turns into a single pin 8.

Grouping of all connectors does NOT give more power supply capacity.

    PCIe 3.0 is 225/300W by 8 pin connector - http://www.pcisig.com/developers/main/training_material...

The former 6-pin connectors are valued at 150W each.

  • Windows XP Driver CAB for Precision T3600

Hello, files of The CAB Driver from Dell for the deployment of the operating system company customer not released for precision T3600. I couldn't find it in the calendar of publications as well as on the link of the company CAB files. It will not be released for this model? Dell will be stopped out of the cabin for Windows XP?

Driver cabins are limited to operating systems that are supported on a given platform.  Series workstations Tx600 initially does not support XP, but the Platform team has decided to release drivers for XP.  We are in the process of creation and validation of the XP driver for the platforms cabins and publish as soon as validated can be conpleted.

  • Disk controller and raid in the solid state for the T3600 / SCCM OSD boot image

    I'm testing a T3600 for our society.  I'm planning our Win 7 X 64 top using SCCM 2007 image.

I downloaded the drivers of ACR for this Dell system and imported the driver in a package and in the boot image, but when I start my system (WinPC) boot image can find the hard drive and fails immediately when you run the task sequence to install the image.  I restarted the WinPE disc and press F8 to get the prompt BACK.  When I used a part of disk and tried to select disk 0 there no drive to select.

It's a single SSD drive in this system, so I turned off raid but I don't know if I have a few wrong settings in the BIOS or the firmware of the controller, or if I have the correct controller and the hard driver in my boot image.

Someone at - it it works and could you tell me the settings that you used in the BIOS, controller and what drivers you used?

    Thanks for your help.

I got it.  There are two drivers for the controller and I missed a.  It was the PERC H310 for Dell Precision.

  • Disable the RAID 1 on Precision T3600

    Hello

    I have a new T3600 of precision with Win7.

It has a Controller PERC h310 with 2x500GB working in RAID 1.

I would like to reconfigure what I see two drives in Windows, is it possible to do without:

    -removing the controller card?

-lose the current installation of the OS?

I mean, I like to keep Win7 installation in C: and then the other drive (D or E) that I can format it and install Linux.

    Thank you!

Well, I finally managed to fix it. If someone ends up here with the same problem as me, it was my solution:

In the tab "Virtual Disk Mgmt' (VDM) go on the disk group entry in the tree menu.

Press F2 to display the options, and then select "Break Mirror" (say yes to confirm, without fear)

Then go into the individual physical disks and do for each of them: F2 + set as non-Raid

If one of these discs was the start, remember to set again as the boot device in the tab 'Control Mgmt'.

  • hang the second monitor for slimline t3600

Please let me know what King of the video card and the RAM will be I need?

Here are the details of my pc.

    HP Pavilion Slimline s3600t PC
    -Genuine Windows 7
-Processor of Intel (r) Core 2 Duo E4700 (2.6 GHz)
    -3 GB DDR2 800 MHz SDRAM (1 x 2048, 1 x 1024)
-Integrated graphics (NVIDIA GeForce 7100), VGA
    -Hard drive 500 GB 7200 RPM SATA 3 Gb/s
    -Card G wireless LAN
-LightScribe 16 X MAX drive DVD +/-R/RW SuperMulti
-output port headset 15-in-1 memory card reader, USB 2.
    -No TV Tuner w/remote control
-Integrated 5.1 audio channels with front audio ports

Here are the specifications of your HP Pavilion Slimline s3600t desktop. According to specifications, your system has a 180 Watt power supply. This power is very unlikely to support a low profile retail graphics card. You can buy a card personalized with reduced HP power but it is very expensive. This leaves the eVGA USB - VGA adapter. About $ 40 - $50, it's a bargain compared to your other choices.
