T400 screen dim on startup

Hello

At the start of my laptop, the screen very dim. After the splash screen, the screen goes white, however, windows doesn't start correctly because I can hear the OS welcome music. I also hear the spinning of the HD and WiFi is also lit. But all other lights function, such as HD light, battery etc indicator does not turn on. I rebooted the computer several times removed and reinstalled battery, but the problem persists. The question is even if I boot without the battery. Recently I got the laptop screen, cable lcd and motherboard, hard drive replaced in a Lenovo service center, so everything is like new.

I would be very happy if someone could suggest possible solutions.

Thank you.

as long as you're always within 3 months, then you should be fine. Warranty call and see what happens.

Is this normal when brightness is rejected in full, because when the brightness is enough it seems level across the screen. Or is it a sign that the screen is endangered?

  • Yoga 2 - 1050 screen Dim/book icon w / stars arises just before

New show with my Yoga 2-1050. No idea if this is a bug or a setting I find more hours of trying. Only since yesterday, the screen greyed out in two steps and white have something of a brownish hue now. No idea where it would not be in the settings, but I spent a few hours trying to find it and can't. My stuff Adaptive everything stops. Just before the screen fades, a little icon of a book with stars jumps to the top of the bottom, then the screen becomes dim. No option to click on it. I checked my document readers and none of them have an option for this. Only applications that disables what are the camera and Gallery, but at the point where I support out of them, the icon comes back, screen fades. What is the story here? It's now my second yoga 2, due to a bad screen on the first and the bugginess and poor documentation is pretty boring. Every day something new appears. PIC of the icon. The little book you make refers to is the smart switch to Lenovo. It is controlled through settings or via the drop down menu on the main screen central. You can ignore it so that you can control brightness levels. When in mode auto, it is a bit erratic, but I find it seems to respond more to the position of the stand that the rotation of the screen. • T400 screen flashes when power is connected or disconnected

    Hi guys!

I recently bought a T400. For the moment, it runs on Windows XP, Service Pack 3.

However, during the process of installing these drivers, now whenever I plug into our remove the AC power plug, the screen turns off for about a second and then comes back.

This problem was there immediately after the installation of Windows XP and Service Pack 3, that is before installing the drivers. I think it's a particular driver that may have caused this.

Could someone help me with this? I tried to reinstall the graphics driver.

Your video card moves the refresh rate when you change the energy sources.

See your power manager and video card settings - I bet you on battery, you are ready for 50 Hz and AC, you're ready for 60 Hz.

  • Vista loading screen hangs at startup

I have a laptop Everex XT5000T with Windows Vista Home Premium (AMD Turion64, nVidia GeForce 7600 Go, 2 GB of RAM, etc.).  Most recently, without any hardware or software changes which I think (I installed MapleStory on... but I don't think that's the problem), the computer began to fade on me randomly and without warning.  If I'm back on the computer immediately after he stops, nothing will move, so I have to wait a few seconds before turning on again.  I run AVG virus analysis every day and to update the database of virus on a daily basis.  At first I thought it was a problem with the video drivers as it seemed then that if I was watching videos, so I installed the "optional" NVIDIA Windows updates.  No change.

Then this last time when the computer turns off during the night, I turned it back and he went to the screen "you want to start in safe mode" and I said to start normally as I usually do when this happens.  He went to the loading window screen about 2 or 3 seconds, froze, then flashed a BSOD before restarting the computer and taking me to a screen asking if I want to start the recovery of windows or start normally.  The first option does not work, the screen reloads only if I choose it.  The second option just goes through the whole process again.

The laptop came with a recovery disk, but it removes the entire partition and reinstall the original software that and I really want to have to go through it because I have important files on this drive, I want to avoid that headache, if I can.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi Adamsw216,

If you can find a copy of the details of Vista to startup repair or system restore, then a clean install using your recovery disc is the best chance, you have to be able to use your computer again.

    NOTE:

Formatting the hard drive will erase all data, programs and user settings you have on the computer. If there is no information on this computer and you don't want to lose, or is not guaranteed, you will need to make backups before proceeding with the INSTALLATION of FORMAT / CLEAN.

  • Blue screen during the startup or shutdown

I have windows vista home premium.sometimes during startup or during shutdown, a blue screen appears for a very short time and the restarts.from of the computer, what I have seen during this short period his written dumping physical memory, etc as something is written on my BIOS.do I need to update my BIOS version or is there any other problem? Please answer soon.thanks.

You can download the contents of the c:\windows\minidump on SkyDrive and provide a link?

Consider the following general guidelines for dealing with bluescreens.

Consider running chkdsk on all partitions.  Leave complete chkdsk on each partition and see if that helps.

    Also consider running SFC/scannow.

If you start in safe mode, do you still feel bugs? What if you do a clean boot, or boot device?

Consider the memory with memtest86 or Windows Memory Diagnostic test. Note that memory that pass the tests isn't necessarily good memory - he not only failed a review.  Examine systematically to eliminate the system RAM - run with a few modules for awhile and see how things are going. Then try the other modules.

Other common suggestions include ensuring drivers are up to date, but also to ensure that you use the latest version of the BIOS.

It may be useful to use the driver verifier.  To activate the... Driver Verifier start-> verifier.exe-> OK-> create standard settings-> next-> driver select the names to a list-> next-> sort by provider-> select all other Microsoft drivers-> finish and OK your way out of the dialog box.

Then restart and use the system as you normally and wait for a problem.  In case the system does not completely start after activation of the Verifier, boot mode safe and run driver verifier and tell him to remove the changes.

Wait for a bugcheck occurs after you have enabled the auditor as described, and then download the dump on your SkyDrive and provide a link.
