Targus-storage cord USB optical mouse does not

Bought this item online. Plugged in and the driver installation showed unidentified device but began to install and after a minute or two, I got a pop up saying correctly installed and ready to use camera. When I tried to point the cursor that has no past. Tried a second time and the same thing, nothing. Not yet tried Manufactureres driver software download website.

Hi Alan,

1 Windows operating system you are using?

2. What if the mouse works on different computers?

3 - is the device is not detected in Device Manager?

Method 1:

You can read the following article and try to run the Microsoft Fixit and check.

Hardware devices do not work or are not detected in Windows

Method 2:

You can try to download the latest version of the drivers from Targus site and check.

Targus Support & downloads

Method 3:

You can try to perform a clean boot and check.

A clean boot to check if startup item or services to third-party application is causing this issue.

You can read the following article to put the computer in a clean boot:

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

Note: After troubleshooting, be sure to set the computer to start as usual as mentioned in step 7 in the above article.

  • New mini optical mouse does not work

    Hi all:

I used a mini mouse optical for a few years now without a single problem. I just plugged into the USB port, and that's all. Yesterday it died on me, so I bought a new.

The mouse does not work and the cursor stays frozen at least that I move it using the touchpad on the laptop.

    OS is Vista
    Satellite P100 series

    More information:

-the little wheel on the mouse will allow me to scroll the page to the bottom, but it's just what works
-the drivers are all up to date
-restore the computer to an earlier date
-run a full virus/malware scan, nothing came
-USB are good; I tried all ports, including the ports where something else that works has been connected
-After I restore and connect my mouse in I saw the computer install the latest drivers

The only thing I can think is that the new mouse is defective but I doubt that. However, it is possible I suppose.

Can anyone else think of any other possible explanation and how I can solve this problem. Could something changed in the BIOS? Is there a setting that has changed I have to look?

Thanks for sharing this with us!

  • USB/bluetooth mouse does not.

I have a mouse mobile memory 8000 who, for some reason, does not work. The issue began yesterday after I used WUBI to install ubuntu alongside vista. My mouse did not work when I booted into vista. The cursor does not move and it does not meet the clicks. I tried wire and modes bluetooth with the same results. I uninstalled and reinstalled an updated version of intellipoint. I uninstalled all associated mouse or eventually the mouse related drivers I could find through the Device Manager and let them reinstall a reboot. The computer recognizes that the mouse is there, he says that everything is working properly and up to date. Any ideas on what could be the cause?

Edit: I also tried to uninstall Ubuntu without effect. IntelliPoint and device management, yet all drivers are working and up-to-date and the mouse does not work as well. Mousinfo using no movement or mouse clicks are detected by it.

    Hi khukuri,.

It is possible that the incorrect mouse is selected in the IntelliPoint software.

After the return from a road trip, I plugged my Miccrosoft wireless optical mouse and keyboard. At first, communicate with my Toshiba Satellite laptop, but the keyboard now works. When I check the State of the mouse, it shows good batteries (I replaced the still) and the right signal. The computer apparently see the mouse, but somehow the orders do not get through the ARVA. Any ideas?

    Hi Peter,.

What is the model number of the Microsoft Wireless Optical mouse?

I suggest you try to connect the transceiver to another port. Then check the behavior of the device. By trying the receiver on a different port, you can eliminate all the problems affecting the port itself.

Please help urgent

    Hello Rahul,

Are you able to work with other USB devices on the computer?

43 error code indicates that one of the motors controlling the unit notified the operating system that the device failed in some way.

    Method 1:

Run the troubleshooter described in the article.

    Reference:

Open the hardware and devices Troubleshooter
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-the-hardware-and-devices-Troubleshooter

    Method 2:

You can also check after uninstalling and reinstalling USB drivers if you are able to connect the drive. You can disconnect all USB devices and then perform the following steps:

    a. click Startand then click Control Panel.

    b. click system and Maintenance, click Systemand then click on Device Manager.

Note If Control Panel is in Classic view, double-click System, and then click Device Manager.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click allow.

    c. in the Device Manager, double-click to expand the "USB Bus controllers", right click on the controller host, click "Uninstall" and click "OK".

    d. Repeat step 2 to uninstall all items under 'USB Bus controllers'.

Then, restart your computer and Windows 7 will automatically reinstall all USB controllers.

If you are still having the same problem then you can check the updated drivers for USB devices. See below the help link.

    Hello

You say; the USB mouse does not only work on this laptop.
The mouse works in relation to other computers right?

First check if the mouse is compatible with your operating system.
If Yes, then you should check if your USB ports work in relation to other USB devices.
If other devices would work so I would recommend check if a driver is needed for this USB mouse but generally a form of a gaming mouse has not all drivers

  • Satellite L300 - Vista - Touchpad and USB mouse does not.

    Hello

Well well after hours of trying allsorts, I post here...

Been given the laptop for repair as the touchpad no longer. No problem "I thought", simply plug a mouse usb to help me get around and re - install the touchpad... what a joke.

On the right, the USB mouse is recognized as a hid device and work, according to the Manager of devices, but not when you move it... nothing...
The Touchpad is listed as a Synaptics ps/2 touchpad and signals a Code 10 in section mouse device as well as listed as a hid and fully functional usb mouse Manager.

    Right... I have...
Listed all devices, even the hidden nonpresent (devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices) and removed everything only account of any mouse, keyboards, etc...
uninstalled the software synaptics via the program Panel.
Restarted the laptop, and it starts with the touchpad is ranked again code 10 with the version of windows drivers.
Drivers up to date using two different files of Toshiba for the touchpad, still Code 10
Still, the USB mouse does not either.

Someone enlighten me please on a fix for this...

    Hello

Really strange what s my friend because normally a touchpad driver update should solve the problem.

In any case, have you ever tried to use the Toshiba Recovery disk? Maybe it s just a software problem and a few important Windows files are destroyed or don t work properly. Reinstall Windows using the recovery disk Toshiba takes only a few minutes and there are already all the drivers and tools integrated. With these parameters (factory settings), the touchpad should work properly, and if not the touchpad or the motherboard needs to be replaced maybe.

    Good bye

  • My mouse does not work on a game

I got the sidki and my mouse does not work on the game. How I've implemented so it will work or is there a way I can use a Xbox 360 controller

    thomaswecker,
We will need more information to help you with this issue.  What is the game?  What version of Vista are you using?  Is the USB mouse or wireless?  With respect to the use of the x-box360 controller, it depends on the game.  All the instructions for implementing any type of input device, be it a mouse or a game controller, should be included in the games instructions.

Let us know this information so that we can be of further assistance.
