Hello

·         You perform a clean installation of Windows 7 or to dual boot with Windows XP and 7 on the computer?

·         You try to enter the activation code of Windows XP Professional to Windows 7 Professional?

·         Are you facing problem with the activation of Windows 7?

Note: I strongly recommend to back up all your important files and folders on an external storage device before performing any type of repair, upgrade or installation of OS.

If you have performed a clean installation of Windows 7, you can not go back to Windows XP. You must perform a clean installation of Windows XP by using the Windows XP installation disc. You can consult this article to install Windows XP on the computer:

  • My Windows 10 computer crashed, and all applications have been lost.  I'm about to re - install LR6 (standalone, no CC).  I think that both facilities are allowed.  Can I get the meter re - assign once my reinstalling?  Thank you.  Jim

Hello, my Windows 10 computer crashed, and I had to start again, allow a reinstallation of the operating system complete with all my apps being deleted from the machine.  One of these applications was LR6 (independent, no CC).  In my view, LR6 allows two installations of the software by license, so I am writing to ask that the 'meter' installation reset 'one' when I'm done with this installation.    I would never need the re-install second, but given the instability of the operating system, it may be necessary... Thank you.

  • Cannot install Windows updates. It hangs at 0%.

Original title: Windows update is running is not on a computer brand new out of the box for Christmas :(

New Asus desktop computer, win8, suppose to be able to go to 8.1.  The first thing I try to run windows update, first he said windows update must be updated, OK, whereas he is 118 updates, but when I click Update or install nothing happens.  I reboot, it will but KB/% download remains 0% as more than an hour, so its not really?  I tried only selection 68 updates, same thing.  The service runs, I've never seen a new computer does not work, it was for my children and I am very disappointed.  Can it be fixed or do I return it?

  • Need help to install Acrobat XI student and Teacher Edition Windows Vista

    Hello

After spending the best part of two evenings trying to install this product, I'm at my wit's end.  I purchased as a download from Amazon and the cost is nonrefundable, so if I can't get it running I basically lost £76!  I would really appreciate the help.

My OS is Windows Vista.  I am trying to install this on my C drive, which has 17.6 GB of space.

Download the product from Amazon is no problem, but when I come to install I get the following message:

"Adobe Application Manager, needed to verify your license is missing or damaged.  Please download a copy of Adobe Application Manager of http://www.adobe.com/go/applicationmanager " "

When I downloaded the Manager, I get a message to download Adobe Support Advisor.  This gives the following error messages:

The installation program "cpsid_82829s1: a reboot is pending", the bootstrapper error has occurred.

When I click on the link to corrective action this basically tells me to reboot after I found and deleted the InProgressKey.  However, the InProgressKey is not found, and no amount of restarting solves the problem.

I tried an uninstall (so I could reinstall to see if that solved the problem), but which gives the message:

"Error 1321.  The installer has sufficient privileges to modify the file C:\Program Files\Fichiers Files\Adobe\HelpCfg\en_US\Acrobat_Pro.helpcfg"

When I tried to manually delete this file I "Access denied folder - you need permission to perform this action."

(I am the administrator on that computer).

I downloaded the Adobe clean uninstall tool (I forgot what it's called), uninstall has been successful using this tool, I did another reboot and then downloaded again the product from Amazon - but the same problems occurred as described above.

I'm just going along in circles here and not do anywhere.  Any help would be sincerely appreciated.

    Thank you very much.

  • How to fix the OS without installing Windows completely?

I have a laptop A10 that crashed after a virus attack or a worm. (I think).
It came with two recovery disks and a driver disc etc.
It starts, but you cannot start windows XP, the file \windows\system32\config\system is missing or damaged. He tells me that I cannot attempt repair this file by starting Windows Setup using the original installation of Windows CD-ROM, after which I need to select 'r' in the first screen.

I don't have a Windows installation disc, Windows XP must be on the recovery disks. They give me the opportunity to completely reinstall windows, which I am unwilling to do. Another option is intended for users of the teacher, but I don't see the usefulness.

How to repair or reinstall the config sys without re install windows completely?

    With respect,
    Hans

    Hi Hans

As far as I know it s not possible to copy some files from the recovery CD singles, because it s just an image on CD. I think that the only way to fix this is to recover your system with the restore CD.
If anyone has any other ideas please share with us.

    Best regards

    Period.

  • Can I install Windows Journal on a Mac computer?

Can I install Windows Journal on a Mac computer?  I currently use Windows Journal to teach by posting paper documents on a smart board.  The administration requires me to switch to a Mac, but I don't want to lose the Journal and its capabilities.  I will not need to use a pen on the computer, I use the stylus on the smart board.  I would buy the windows software of newspaper and try to download on a Mac.  Can I order windows software log?

    You have two problems here:

    1. Programs Windows cannot be installed on a Mac.
    2. Windows Journal is not available as a separate program.

If the Administration allows it, you can install Windows on a Mac with Mac OS X. Then, there are two ways to access the applications Windows explained here:

    http://store.Apple.com/UK/browse/guide/Windows

You can buy a copy of Windows to do this.

  • How to install Windows XP on a Windows Vista using Vista workstation to install XP in a separate mode dual-boot partition.

If you have a Windows XP workstation it is a piece of cake to install Windows Vista on the same workstation using the dual-boot using a separate on the same hard disk partition...  However, the main centre recently received a large number of donations new jobs Lenovo ThinkCentre with factory installed and perfectly running Vista operating systems.  Question: Is there a procedure that would allow using Vista to install Windows XP on these workstations dual-boot mode?  Workstations must be used in a class of main center where we need to teach using either XP or Vista depending on student needs.   A second hard drive would allow such a facility.  But we would like to use a 2nd partition on the existing hard disk of Vista to install XP.  However, Microsoft has always included features in its Windows operating systems that overcome by using the current operating system to install an older version of the OS.  There must be a work around there somewhere.  Thanks for your help.

If you have any available records of vista, you could make a partition in disk management (right click computer, manage, enable the UAC and then go into disk management.)  Shrink the partition and format it with NTFS free space.)  Then boot from the XP disc and install it.  Once you have completed the installation of xp. Start the vista disc and go to the repair options.  Go to a command prompt and type "bootrec.exe /fixboot" (without the quotes) and press ENTER.  After restart, you should see a start with windows vista and xp listed menu.  If xp is not in the list, let me know and I can tell you how to add it.

    Upgrade paths:
When important changes to your computer, for example an upgrade, it is always recommended that you back up your system before installing a new version of Windows. In your case, you can upgrade to Windows 7 depending on the edition and the architecture of Windows Vista, you have installed. If you are running a 32-bit version of Vista and upgrade to a 64-bit (Windows 7 edition) version, you'll have a pure make install, it is the opposite case.

If you are using Windows Vista Home Basic or Premium consumer editions, you can only upgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium or Ultimate. In addition, you can make downgrades, which means, if you are running Windows Vista Ultimate Edition now, you cannot downgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium. You perform logical upgrades:

Windows Vista Home Basic > Windows 7 Home Basic, Premium or Ultimate
Windows Vista Edition Home Premium > Windows 7 Home Premium or Ultimate
Windows Vista Business > Windows 7 Professional, enterprise or ultimate edition
Windows Vista Business > Windows 7 Enterprise
Windows Vista Ultimate > Windows 7 Ultimate.

  • Install Windows 7 on the new Latitude E7470

    Hi all

I'm struggling with this one. I have a new Latitude E7470. I installed our internal image of Windows 7 (we use Acronis Snap Deploy) and it installed fine on the network, but the installed W7 does not recognize the USB hubs or ports (keyboard and mouse still work) and does not know the new Intel I219-LM or new 8260 Intel wifi NIC since there is no internal CD I have no way to get drivers into the system in order to start the comm! Our image works on most new Dell systems, but this E7470 is apparently too new. How can I do this thing even a USB or SD card? All I have to do is get a driver for the CARD, so I can take care of the rest.

The other thing I've tried is to install W7 from scratch. I have a Dell install W7 SP1 64 bit on a brand USB drive. I can't install Windows 7 from this USB because it is not aware of the necessary drivers for the SSD m2. I'm assuming that even if I had W7 to install from this disc, I would always much luck with USB drivers or the card NETWORK on it...

So, what should I do now? We're still a shop W7 so I need to find a new way to get W7 on this machine.

The way I see it, I have two options. That I could take an old computer, load our image on it, drop installers for new NIC driver on it or teach them with pnp and create a new image from push to this laptop, install the new NETWORK adapter drivers and rebuild our image. Or I could build a whole new system off the dell OEM version supplied with the downgrade E7470 and W7. Yes, I did a backup of the system OE until I wiped it off.

I was wondering if anyone has run across this before and he has ideas about how to do a system more about USB chipsets when there is apparently no way to load external files. Once I tell myself what I can do our new image so it will be towards the rear-chipset to the current, but it's getting the newer chipsets recognized that I'm having a problem with.

Thanks in advance for any ideas!

Well, I found this one. Not proceed with USB, but I managed to connect a SATA external cd-rom drive to a docking station that recognizes the computer! Then on another machine, I burned the installer of NETWORK card on a CD, and this one is back in business.

I was surprised, he did not "legacy USB" mode in the BIOS as I have seen in other portable USB 3.

If you have a docking station Latitude, maybe you'll be lucky enough to find an external SATA drive. Mine a number of Reference Dell 'K01B '. As far as I can tell it is out of production, but they can still be found on ebay and amazon. In any case, it worked for me. Good luck!

Dell, consider adding a USB mode inherited to the BIOS on this system. Thank you!
