Tecra A6: Using a keyboard wireless on a port replicator

I'm trying to implement a wireless keyboard Microsoft on a mooring for my Tecra A6 port. Unfortunately, the Intellitype software more wrote the keyboard map and disables access to shutoff (FN + F5).

Does anyone know how to get around this without disconnecting the USB connection each tim during the startup.

Hi Steve, u have tried commenting the relevant keyboard input in a startup file in the start / run / msconfig? Another place to look is the Control Panel, keyboard n or the Device Manager see if you can change the setting.

    Hello

I have no problem using my keyboard-PS/2 on the Advanced Port Replicator III.

It is properly connected. When I first initialize my Tecra S3 the keyboard just doesn't work. I then wait for WinXP to appear and restart the system - that is, the keyboard works.

What can I do to get my keyboard to work first start? I never had these problems with my previous S2.

Have you ever tried to connect another keyboard to the PortRep? It may be good to try. Otherwise, I suggest you get somewhere a PortRep another and try it with this one.

  • Tecra S5 - slow ethernet with USB 2.0 Port Replicator

    Hello

I have a Tecra S5 with USB 2.0 Port replicator II. I have 3 ethernet connections all together on my PC: LAN on motherboard, WiFi and the other on the USB port replicator.

At home, I use WiFi for internet connection and USB to Ethernet to a wired connection to devices with built-in web server.

My problem is that when the WiFi and USB to Etherenet is active the internet and the connection to the web server works but vey slow.
If I turn off the WiFi and connect to the web server works properly.
If I disable USB for Ethernet internet connection works correctly.

Anyone has same problem and suggestion how to solve?

    Hello!

It looks like a network configuration problem. Check the network addresses and configuration in command line with the command ipconfig/all.

Try using static IP addresses. I think that the DHCP server takes a long time to go send an IP address to each laptop.

    Good bye

  • Tecra 8100: Don't know if the Network Port Replicator II is working properly

I had a PA3017E-1PRP, i.e. a Network Port Replicator II, for my Tecra 8100. The fact is: I don't know if it works. I plug the computer in and no new material appears. At least the 3Com NETWORK adapter should be recognized, but no sign of life is presented at all.

In addition, the USB ports does not work, but at least, the leds of the watch of the computer there is come from there because they show that battery is charging and the power comes from the DC.

So, how can I check that everything works correctly? The computer is Windows XP SP2 installed, and I installed all the drivers and the support of the utilities (common modules, mobile and other extensions) util Toshiba USA and Toshiba Configfree of Toshiba Asia...

    Hi Toka

I really put t know why you install software mix on your device. In my opinion, you should install European tools and utilities if you live in Europe. But if everything works it is also OK. I just want to make this comment because I don't know if all tools can consort with each other.

As much I know this unit only is not supported for Windows XP Home in Europe. If the US page has mobile extensions for Windows XP Home edition, I assume that it has been tested.

You can use a ports from there or all of them are dead?

  • Two screens DVI on Port Replicator II with Tecra S10-160

    Hello to all 2!

Right now I'm working with two external 19 "TFT screens connected to the Port Replicator II (Tecra S10-160 inside with closed screen). A display is connected to the DVI port available, the other is connected on the available on the Port Replicator II VGA port.
A single display (DVI) is used as the main office, the other (VGA) is used as office improved (both show different content).

My problem is the poor quality of the VGA signal and the problem, my two new screens are only supported DVI.

Is it possible to connect two DVI displays to the DVI - D Port Replicator II? I already checked several DVI-Y-cables, but I'm still looking for a solution connect two displays via DVI with the function to get two split screens and not the same content on both screens.

Hope you got my point and have information or ideas for products for me.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

Have you already tested a VGA to DVI? So, you can use the VGA connector on the port replicator and your monitor's DVI port.

I mean such a cable like this

Such an adapter you can always use the function to get two split screens and not the same content on both screens. :)

  • Tecra A7 with port replicator - the bad external monitor resolution

    Hello

I have a Tecra A7 (Mod.No. PTA71E) that I use with often an III advanced port replicator and an external 19 "monitor (1280 x 1024).

Now Ichanged the monitor with a new LCD display 22 '' Samsung 223BW with a resolution of 1680 x 1050.

Attached to the VGA, I have a lot of flicker problems drinking the reolution is OK.
Attached to the DVI I have not flickering but the monitor get a resolution of 1280 x 1024 with a desktop computer to 1680 x 1050, that appear depending on the position of the mouse.

How can I use the DVI and get good resolution (as in VGA mode) but without twinkle?

    Thank you
    Davide Rubbiani

    Hello

I guess that the Toshiba ATI driver does not support the resolution of 1680 x 1050.
The only way to get the 1680 x 1050 resolution is to install another driver.

Maybe here you will find a working one.

  • I can't find instructions on setting up or using the keyboard Microsoft Wireless Comfort 1. 0a.

I can't find instructions on setting up or using the keyboard Microsoft Wireless Comfort 1. 0a.  I GOOGLED it but the only reference I find tells me to go to the download page on the Microsoft Web site for this product.  I went to this site and the only thing it is limited warranty info and Product Guide.  I downloaded the Product Guide, but it only covers the basic information like it do not immerse in water, do not take part and the various regulations of the FCC about the product.  There is no info in this guide on how to configure or use the keyboard AT ALL.  Guidance on how to use this product is probably somewhere?

The dongle is not plug it into the keyboard, it plugs into the USB port on the computer.  Wireless keyboards is not related to them - think of that.  :-)

If you are missing parts to the keyboard, I would just buy a new one.  You can buy wired keyboards for as little as $4 these days, wireless are a little more expensive of course.  Personally, I find the wireless keyboards to be a pain because the batteries always come out in one in-opportune times.  YMMV

    Good luck.

  • How to use the keyboard in Mac wireless keyboard shortcut?

    Hi all experts,

I understand that the following keyboard shortcut works in first Pro CS5:

    (1) next page - Goto then point edit

    (2) previous page - Goto previous Mount Point

    (3) home - CTI at the beginning of the sequence

    (4) end - CTI place until the end of the sequence.

The problem is that I use the Mac wireless keyboard that comes with a shorter keyboard.

This keyboard, being a shorter version, didn't press Page Down, Page Up, home and end.

With the help of the arrow up and arrow instead of Page Up and Page down Down does NOT work.

    Any ideas, please?

    Thanks in advance...

When you hold down the Fn key in the bottom left of any mini keyboard (laptop or wireless) Apple, many options.

Homepage = Fn + left arrow

End = Fn + right arrow

Page Down = Fn + down arrow

Page Up = Fn + arrow upward

FWD Delete = Fn + delete

Row of the top - switch hardware keys to function keys

There might be more, but these are the only ones I know. Apple used to label functions on keys of direction, but for some reason any that they no longer do.

  • 1-2 day battery life Keyboard wireless!

Since the update to OS X 10.11.4, the battery on the wireless (former model, not the new Magic Keyboard) keyboard has slumped about 3 to 4 weeks for 1-2 days! I use rechargeable batteries from Apple, and the same set of batteries has not affected the Magic Trackpad (also a former model).

And FYI, I use the keyboard for about 8 to 12 hours.

    Try the non-rechargeable batteries...

Battery life is based on its use. I don't know what it is that the software update would have done to cause the problem.

  • Use of Tecra M11 on Express Port Replicator II

Hello all, I wonder if the Group of experts can help with a small problem Im having with my Ministry of the Interior

My kit is a Toshiba Tecra M11 with Win 7 Enterprise, that I use with a port replicator Port Express and I just upgraded to a Lifebook Seimens, also with a cradle of home. The way I like to work is to use the laptop to connect Central company on the internet by VPN network and then use my PC at home to connect to the laptop via DRC - if I can use the screen Monitor wide and large keyboard (my job is very large Excel spreadsheets). It worked well with the Siemens and especially work with Toshiba, but for a small problem.

After I have logged on to the network and connected to the laptop, I want to put the lid down, then put the laptop and its cradle of home from the road on a shelf. This has worked with Siemens, but whenever I have try with the Toshiba it puts the machine to sleep as soon as the cover closes and the DRC on the main PC session is suspended. The Toshiba is mounted on its cradle of home throughout this process. Computer laptop & cradle to host both the main pc are all connected by a wired connection to the same router netgear

How to stop what is happening, that is how to use the device on its base of home with the lid down?

In the Windows power plan settings, you can choose the action to COVER closed. The default setting will stay and that is what you have described. So I recommend disabling this option for each Windows power profile.

Otherwise, follow the instructions posted by Akuma. If you make an update of the BIOS, unplug all devices and close all running programs before doing this.

  • Tecra M5: external PS2 keyboard only works after restart

    Hello

I have a Tecra M5 with a Port Replicator III Plus. I plugged a mouse and a keyboard via PS2. The mouse works fine, but the keyboard does not work in the Windows XP logon screen. Just after the restart of the keyboard works.

I tried a few other keyboards, same problem. USB keyboard works without problem. I also reinstalled the mobile extensions and tried to change some BIOS settings.

Someone at - it an idea?

    welcome them

    Hello

  • K3500 wireless keyboard: wireless keyboard

Just bought a keyboard wireless, out of a slit which seemed to be a guardian of the battery, and it works fine. There is nothing in the documentation that shows how to turn off to save battery life, or how to replace the battery. How can I do?

BTW, I spent an hour on hold and transferred around HP (India, I think) and could not get an answer. HP used to have great customer service.

    bobbellevue

    There is no on/off switch.

As for the battery, I found this thread which has some answers: http://www.amazon.com/ask/questions/asin/B00FARSAVY

    Good luck

  • Trackpad works not while I use my keyboard

    Hello

Normally, you just have to disable SmartSense or PalmCheck Control Panel of Synaptics - but from what I've seen, it seems no longer works for Windows 10 versions of this driver.

You may be able to work around this problem as follows.

First, download the Synaptics driver on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

Version of the Synaptics 17.0.18.8 driver

Disable your wireless card (should be f12 ).

Open Control Panel, open programs and features, right click on the Synaptics driver and select uninstall.

    When finished, restart the laptop.

When windows rebooted, open your download folder and re-run the installer of Synaptics - when it is finished, restart the laptop.

Open the Synaptics settings panel, disable SmartSense or PalmCheck , then check if the touchpad works now with a key on the keyboard is pressed.

If so, turn on your wireless card and use the utility on the following link to prevent Windows 10 to update automatically the Synaptics driver.
