Telepresence system questions

Dear all

I IX5000, MX 800, call control system (see the table below), 410 MCU, addition of license for CUCM 9.x/10.x, 14.X and TMS BE 7000 QTY: 2 with Hyper ver 5.X

My Questions are:

(1) concerning the call in the table control system, I think it's a fast track, need to install software E-Highway and Express-C track or all I need just install Expressway-E?

(2) unit that will fit with CUCM and how it will be, trunk or there are in addition to the configurations are needed?

(3) concerning MSDS server, what configuration I'll choose Provisioning or others?

(4) regarding the IX5000 and 800 MX, it will record in CUCM, right? CUCM has IX5000 and MX800?

(3) call control system

I thank.

(1) concerning the call in the table control system, I think it's a fast track, need to install software E-Highway and Express-C track or all I need just install Expressway-E?

-You need two motorways (C & E) to work in the solution. The two boxes are part of the infrastructure of collaborative Edge and the solution will not work if a box is missing. Edge of collaboration (Expressway Core + Edge) are part of the environment of CUCM mobile and remote access and management of B2B calls.

(2) unit that will fit with CUCM and how it will be, trunk or there are in addition to the configurations are needed?

-Track Express Core will be interfaced with CUCM via SIP trunk. And when you enable mobile access and remote (ARM) and B2B calls, you must create 2 separate crossing (ARM 1) areas and 1 for B2B on Core (traversal customer) Expressway and the highway (crossing server).

Here are the guides of good deployment:

For Mobile and remote access with the B2B deployment guide:

http://www.Cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/TD/docs/solutions/CVD/collaboration/Midmarket/Oct2015/CVD-CollabEdgeUsingBE6000.PDF

For the Mobile deployment and remote only access:

http://www.Cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/TD/docs/voice_ip_comm/Expressway/config_guide/x8-7/mobile-remote-access-via-Expressway-deployment-guide-x8-7.PDF

(3) concerning MSDS server, what configuration I'll choose Provisioning or others?

-Can you clarify what you want to achieve in the deployment of the TMS? Planning/Booking? Phone book?

(4) regarding the IX5000 and 800 MX, it will record in CUCM, right? CUCM has IX5000 and MX800?

-Depending on your BOM and licenses, the solution is a highway. The highway do not support records. All the video end points will record on the CUCM. Endpoints immersive (IX500) and a versatile video endpoints (MX800) are supported in CUCM and will be managed these endpoints for the call control points.

Please refer to the compatibility CUCM for supported devices matrix:

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/compat/matrix/CMDP_BK_CCBDA741_00_cucm-device-package-compatibility-matrix/CMDP_BK_CCBDA741_00_cucm-device-package-compatibility-matrix_chapter_00.html

  • End of sale (EoS) / end of life (EoL) information on Cisco TelePresence system 1700 MXP

I have a question about the EoL (http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collaboration-endpoints/eos-eol-po...) policy and the announcement of EoS/EoL Cisco TelePresence system 1700 MXP (http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/collaboration-endpoints...).

According to the policy of the EoL, paragraph 4 ter, "after the first year and for the operating system SW - if available - we will offer bug fixes, versions of maintenance, workarounds or patches for a period of 4 years for operating system software."  Therefore, it is 5 years after the Date of the EoS, which could make the OS support close on 28/02/2017 EoL products.  I'm one to believe that a product and its applicable operating system are good as long as the company provides patches for bugs/flaws.

My question is about the migration of the product suggestions.  The suggestion is to "migrate to the Cisco EX Series (the EX60 or solution EX90) telepresence system."  However, when the announcement of EoS/EoL EX60 inspection, the "SW maintenance communicated End Date of: HW, SW OS ' 06 07, 2016.  Note that it is not the end of Maintenance SW verbiage in 1700 MXP EoS/EoL announcement.  I'm under the assumption that the new product within OS support only one model exceeded?  Why anyone would follow the suggested migration if I get fewer months support OS than an older model?  Should I go out of date on the announcement of the EoS/EoL, or use the 5-year rule as shown in the end of life policy.

If I am interpreting this wrong, please do not hesitate to correct me.  I am trying to understand the explicit verbiage in the end of life and ads EoS/EoL policy.

As the 1700 MXP announcement was published in 2011, at that time, the EX60/90 was a legitimate substitute. However years later, endpoints EX Series are now EOS, you should look at alternatives for the EX series instead.

The announcement of the EOS/EOL indicates a date of end of software support, you should go there. The reason that ad 1700 MXP does not list one could be that the date of assumption of the software had already spent or they simply don't have the list at the time. Looking at the latest version of the software for the 1700 MXP, it's F9.3.3 in 2014, I highly doubt, there will be another, but you never know given that other points of MXP endpoints that are not past their published end date of software support.

  • Do I need a CUCM for the implementation of a telepresence system 1300?

can I install a telepresence system in an office with a UC560 or simply not use any appeals officer in the implementation of a telepresence system 1300?

    Hello

With CTS endpoints you MUST use cucm to save the endpoints and callmanager will manage the firmware of endpoints, road marking, speed disls, midlet and all the other options and to let the CTS human access to these endpoints for control of booking and call for calls point to point and multipoint

On the use of VPN recently it is authorized by cisco, according to me, especially for the endpoints one screen you can search for telepresence on wide band for a few cisco whitepapers

  • file system question for cam action DRH-AS30V adapters

The microSDHC card provided with this camera is formatted to support the FAT32 file system, and so is limited to 4 GB files. I need to know if the camera formats cards differently adapters. What cards adapters format camera for the exFAT file system? Thank you!

Each time an SDXC card is inserted, the action cam uses the format instead of the format FAT32 exFAT. In fact, the device to which you connect the cam action (more an SDXC card inserted) must also support exFAT file system. Otherwise, the action cam / card will not be read correctly.

  • Cisco telepresence camera question - motivates and focus on who speaks. ???

    Hi all

Wonder about a telepresence from cisco camera that when placed in a conference room can detect, move and focus on the person speaking?

Is this feature available on the PrecesionHD 4 x camera or another that I do not read this feature in the data sheet?

If so, please provide the reference for this.

    Kind regards

It is compatible with the SX80, C40/60/90 points of termination.  SpeakerTrack 60 is a unit of two cameras and therefore requires two inputs of camera on the codec, then it will not work with the SX20 because it has only one entrance of the camera.  Both cameras help to provide seamless switching of active speakers in the room.

I restored the IQ524 since its partition to installation day last month. It happens than Vista. Before there was a free upgrade to Windows 7 hard disk. I looked on the site of support everywhere but don't find it anymore. How could I return to win 7 again please?

Sorry, but without these discs or a retail upgrade disc, you're screwed. You need to find that a Windows 7 upgrade disk to upgrade from the factory to the Windows Vista installation. I ask the staff and then search high and low for them myself.

  • Cisco TelePresence system Codec C40

I activated high security and after the reset mode, I can not connect with any account via the web site. Any suggestions?

Keep informing me that the credentials are not valid...

If there is no prompt to change your password to meet the security requirements (see the C40 Administrator's Guide pg 48), or you are not able to use or the old password (before being forced to change).  The only thing I can think is if you have no login required turn on to the serial port, you can directly connect the codec and change the admin password.  Essentially, you have forgotten the password and the only option is to reset factory endpoint, if it comes to it, see this discussion: password recovery.

  • Cisco TelePresence system Quick Set C20 - version 7.0.1

Why the LyncCompatibility Mode has been removed versions 7.x?  Or he just moved to another menu?

    Hello

OK, the configuration in lynccompatibility has been removed in TC7. The reason is that VCS X8.1 does this job better, it's easy to set up, and you don't need to use TC6.3 with the lynccompatibility configuration. The VCS will make interoperability for any version of TC.

At the time, this feature has been imeplemented on TC, VCS (x 7) couldn't do interoperability, while it was possible to do this work by allowing this configuration, although this was not recommended and no longer considered as a test of the configuration. This required also extinguish the B2BUA on VCS that could cause other to break interoperation scenarios.

The recommendation is to let the VCS do interoperability and leave as it is the endpoint.

    Thank you

  • TelePresence VLAN

We have a Manager Communications Group to serve our PBX.  We recently bought a new telepresence system and a 2nd CM cluster that is dedicated to the CTS.  Telepresence SRND States to put the CTS codec in the VLAN voice. There is no mention of this VLAN to the 2nd cluster dedicated to CM in.  I don't think that we can have clusters of 2 CM on the same VLAN voice then what would be the best practice to set the codec and the cluster of CM for the CTS?  Thank you.

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/solutions/enterprise/video/tpendpts.html

    Hello

It's more a question of CUCM SRND, but based on our CUCM SRND take a look at this:

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/voice_ip_comm/CUCM/srnd/7x/netstruc.html#wp1043629

In general, servers of Cisco Unified Communications Manager (Unified CM) clusters, including the multimedia resource servers, reside in a data center or server farm environment. [...] Because these servers and resources are essential to voice networks, Cisco recommends distributing all servers in clusters CM unified, gateways voice hardware and centralized centralized resources among multiple switches physical and, if possible, several physical locations within the campus. This allocation of resources to ensure that, given a hardware failure (for example, a switch or switch line card failure), at least some servers in the cluster will be always available to provide telephony services. In addition, walkways, and material resources will be always available to provide access to the PSTN and to provide auxiliary services.    In addition to being distributed physically, these servers, gateways and material resources should be distributed between the VLANS separated or subnets so that, if a broadcast storm or a denial of service occurs on one VLAN, not all services and voice connectivity will be disrupted.

    ...

There is the potential for a large number of devices in a single VLAN or broadcast domain to generate large amounts of broadcast traffic periodically, which can be problematic. A good rule of thumb is to limit the number of devices per VLAN to about 512, which equals two subnets of class C (that is, a class C address of subnet 23 bits masked). Typical access layer switches include the stackable Cisco Catalyst 2950, 3500XL, 3550 and 3750, as well as the Cisco 3560 and the larger, high-density Catalyst 4000 and 6000 switches.

Note The recommendation to limit the number of devices in a single VLAN of Communications unified about 512 is not only due to the need to control the amount of broadcast traffic VLAN. For Linux Unified CM-based server platforms, the ARP cache has a limit of 1024 devices. Installation of Unified CM in a VLAN with an IP subnet that contains devices more than 1024 can cause Server Unified CM ARP cache fills up quickly, which can seriously affect the communications between the Unified CM server and other Unified Communications endpoints. Although the size of the ARP cache on server based on Windows Unified CM platforms is developing dynamically, Cisco recommends a limit of 512 devices in any VLAN regardless of the operating system that is used by the Unified CM server platform.

To answer your question, Yes, separate the VLAN for CUCM, not only for clusters, servers (one cluster contains 1 to 20 servers (super cluster))

  • Telepresence MultiPoint switch

    Hello

Try to learn the telepresence Multi Point pass but failed to get a clear picture of how the screens turns after bypass surgery CTS 3 or more together.

    a. what happens for each site displays x 3 CTS 3000 together? or maybe more?

    b. how to MultiPoint chooses which screens/segments to display?

Thanks in advance and happy new year!

    Kind regards

    Paul

    Hi Paul,.

First of all, I understand you are trying to learn more about Community trade marks. However, it is important to note that Cisco is going to the server TP and CTMS will be crush by TP server soon. This is the end of official sales and announces end of life for the community Cisco brands: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/prod/collateral/ps7060/ps8329/ps8331/ps7315/end_of_life_notice_c51-729081.html

Question A: it depends on what policy switch is configured on the CTM. You have two options, switch to the room and switch of the screen. When using the policy of the switch of the room, when the users speak to any side (left, right, Center) of the CTS 3000, for example, the telepresence system all (three screens) is displayed for remote participants. When you use the Switch screen policy, when users talk on the right side of the CTS 3000, for example, only the right side will appear to remote participants.

Question B: well, CTMS makes this choice first based on what policy switch is configured. In addition, when CTMS receives audio and video from an endpoint CTS 3000, for example, because of Protocol TIP, CTMS is able to discern what video and audio streaming is coming from each side of the CTS 3000. For example, when users are talking on the right side of the table, CTMS know that these audio and streaming video are coming from the right side of the telepresence system, because the TIP protocol brings this feature. CTMS is able to discern when he is supposed to show each segment (form) of telepresence, when you use the screen Switch strategy, for example. In addition, CTMS is also able to compare the audio level received from each segment of each endpoint connected to the Conference, so that it knows which segment has a higher level of voice and we can consider this segment as the active speaker.

TP Server uses a similar logic, but there are some important differences, especially when it comes to the layout.

    I hope this helps.

    Hello

There are a variety of reasons for system restore problems

Norton and Norton product Tamper Protection is the main
