Teredo tunneling adapter (code 10) Microsoft

Hello... I use a dell inspiron n4010... OS-windows 7 ultimate 32-bit(6.1, build 7600)... BIOS: ver 1.00 BIOS A01 PARTTBL2... proccessor: intel core i5 cpu M 430 @ 2.27GH (4cpus), 2.3 ghz... my problem is that, according to Device Manager the Microsoft Teredo Tunneling adapter does not work. There is a yellow exclamation mark against her marl... Under the heading Properies, device status says... This device cannot start. (Code 10) .i tried to disable n allowing him a couple of times... didn't work!... then I tried to update the VAC n driver on windows... quote: "windows has determined the software driver for your device is up to date"... nthn seems to work... s same problem p. with other microsoft ISATAP map and map microsoft ISATAP #2 listed in the Device Manager... Please helppppp!

It is possible that the pilot program has caused the problem.

As a general rule, I always update my drivers on the website of device manufacturers.

You'll want to click left the entrance to properties of the network adapter, after you right-click to open the menu.

When I say NIC, I refer to the items in the category "network card":

For example, I have a Broadcom network card in this computer that I right-click, then select Properties.

I hope this helps.

    Hello Asha,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

In fact, "Teredo" is a tunneling protocol designed to grant IPv6 connectivity to nodes that are located behind IPv6 NAT (network address translation) not compatible devices. It defines a way of encapsulating IPv6 packets in IPv4 UDP (User Datagram Protocol) datagrams can be routed through NAT devices, on the IPv4 internet.

    Hello Raul,

Please keep us updated on the status of the issue and apologize for the delayed response.

In computer networks, Teredo is a transition technology that allows full IPv6 connectivity for IPv6 compatible hosts who are on Internet IPv4, but which have no native direct link on an IPv6 network. Compared to other similar protocols its particularity is that it is able to fulfil its function even behind network address translation (NAT) such as routers devices.
