Hello stargazer1, here is the link for the specifications of your system.

Look in the lower right corner of the page for product manuals, information system and software downloads.

The manuals do not provide much information about the system, other than how to configure the system.

These manuals provide little information on the operation wireless on your system.

Hello, I have been using Avira anti-virus on my computer for the past two years with no problems.  I run a scan on my computer every day and noticed problems with it a few days ago.  The analysis would be about 21% when he would stop scanning and freeze my computer.  The RAM would be also be maxed out at 100%, and I need to restart the computer manually.  When I ran the scan in safe mode, it worked fine, but then continued to not work when the computer is not in safe mode.  I would also get a security alert Windows telling me that Windows did not antivirus software on this computer.  I tried to do a system restore which goes back to the day before the problem started to happen with the scan, but I still have the same problem.  I tried to uninstall the program again, but I get the message: Setup could not determine feature control file, or was not able to read it properly the. I also received a message about CCPLG. XML. I don't know what to do at this point or what was wrong in the first place with my antivurus software, but I feel that I continue to do worse with everything I want to do about it.  If you can offer any help with this problem, it would be much appreciated.  I have to go to work now, so I'll check tomorrow and hope that someone decided to go back to me.  Thank you.

  • Lights up turn of the computer - monitor remains blank

    • About 5 days ago, I was using my computer as usual. I have a game, was talking to some people and play music, everything works fine. Out of nowhere, my screen locked up, I thought he was just a typical gel, so I waited a minute or two while trying things like the Ctrl alt del and alt + tab, none of these things, do nothing at all. To speed up the process, I turned off the computer manually and turned it back. After back on the screen remains empty. When the device is turned on and that everything is working normally, the light on the power button on the monitor to blue. When the computer is not turned on but the monitor is, or when the computer is in "standby", the power button goes orange. After turning on the actual computer monitor screen remained pure black, and that the switch remained orange. The computer itself seems to turn on normally, the green light in the back turns on and remains solid, the two fans inside the Tower lights up and there is the noise of typical general snoring from the computer. Since then, I tried to unplug drain all the power and turn it back on, I reinstalled the RAM, I checked the card plugged into the VGA port has been completely connected (it was a problem in the past after sending in my computer when the VGA port had been fried. The symptoms at the time were essentially the same ones they are now corrected again when an operator HP had me check if this card was plugegd, it was not completely, I pushed it and it worked fine.) Anyway, this time I tried this card verification. I pushed a little more to check if that was the problem, it doesn't change anything. I tried another monitor (with a different cable), that doesn't change anything. My warranty on the computer turns off, so my only way to contact HP for help is with the online chat, and this conversation has done me any good. They had me try all the things I had already tried and then just told to take it into a store.

No, the second port works do not means that the embedded video is disabled. Here's a video explaining how to remove the video card. It has a tab, that you must move to release the card. Scroll down and you will see the different models.

It could still be the video card. Try to remove the card completely and the embedded video. Since your unable to see the screen, you can not enter the bios to see if the edge can be activated but sometimes when the card is to remove the edge can activate itself. If no luck, try another video card.

I recently moved my computer in a another part of the House and when I got back everything was working properly.  I was in the middle of the removal of unused on my computer programs when I had a program not responding do not message.  All the icons have disappeared off the screen and the taskbar, but I could still see the background.  I shut down the computer manually becase Ctrl + alt + delete didn't work.  Now, when I turn the computer on the gateway screen comes up and the green bar when windows is preparing to start, but it loads a blank screen. The only visible thing on it is the mouse pointer.  I tried to use the windows vista operating cd but it wont run it.  Any ideas?

No you can hear it running.  I would say that it was computer games that I uninstall and the wireless card that I used on it, now it is connected directly to the wireless router. Also, I forgot to mention in the post above that I had the computer on it two weeks and when I had it up and running in the other room windows defender came on wanting scanner, so I let it scan and then the antivirus software did a scan of the computer.  They both finished without any problems.  My antivirus (McAfee) software installed updates at the time wherever it froze.

    Hi James

Tried SFC/scannow - no problem found.

I tried services.msc - noticed WLAN on manual, set to auto, rebooted, the problem seems to be solved.

The big question is how does 'manual' - no account required to this idea is the only way that it connects to the home network and Internet.

So just to let it auto update do its thing and reload the Windows updates that may have been cancelled.

    Grateful for your assistance.

This will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party with their

Now go to the site of the manufacturer of system (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) (restoration) and then of the manufacturer of the device
(Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for the BIOS, Chipset and software)
updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - tab drivers version you install actually shows up. This
because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (particularly that audio drivers) so install a

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW on device at the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER - manually check by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

  • Defragment the computer freezes, chkdsk has revealed no error. Manual operation of defrag.exe help as meeting the same gel administrator command prompt

    Hi all

Bit of a strange problem with Windows 7. I can't get defrag to work on any level. Running manually using a system Accessories/tools works for about 20 minutes before the computer hangs completely and requires that the start/stop button to press. I have run chkdsk and supposedly there are no errors on the hard drive.

I tried running as admin - c:/c defrag.exe command-line prompt and several variations of it, but all have problems about 20 minutes in the defragmentation. Also tried in safe mode.

The strange thing is that the computer does not display instabilities during normal operation. My tuneup software has identified that the hard drive is very fragmented. I do not think that the third-party software it will solve as Tuneup has a command defragment and which freezes some 20 minutes after the start.

    Any recommendations?

    What tune up software?

Its likely that dubious Tune Up software is the cause of system problems

I just bought three HP Pavilion 14 Chromebook & HP Envy 4500 ePrinters for members of the family that I am trying to set up.  (I'm new to cloud computing).  Can I scan documents to PDF at the computer (Chromebook) / E-mail of the printer?  If so, how?  When documents arrive on the computer?  If the scan to e-mail is possible on the devices above, can I store several addresses e-mail ePrint in the printer choose?  Thank you!

    Hi eKeith,

Thanks for shouting it and fast response.    No problem on other issues, it is we are here for.

    1. You will need to manually launch the built-in Web server.  What I've done in the past, it's just mark the ip address of the printer is to click instead of having to manually enter the IP every time. It works best if you set a manual ip address of the printer.  I've included a screenshot.
      1. Click on the "Network" tab in the SAP
      2. Click on 'Network' in the left side menu
      3. Click on 'network address (IP)' in the left side menu
      4. Click 'propose a manual IP address.
      5. Click on "Manual DNS server"
      6. For the server DNS preferred manual please enter 8.8.8.8
      7. For the auxiliary DNS Server Manual please enter 8.8.4.4

    2. There is no way to web analytics by default in pdf format.
    3. The default value corresponds to your "Downloads" folder, but you can switch to "Google Drive".
    4. If you click on the built-in web server Web Services tab, there is an option in the side menu on the left for updates. I've included a screenshot of where to find him.
