The draft quality printer default

How can I configure my deskjet 1050 project as default print quality. Have a new deskjet 1050 and I'm able to set other preferences print and flaws, but it only allows me to choose the print quality

Hi BuzdeVilliers,

The best that you can do to get the "Draft" mode would be to select the media as Plain Paper quick project, click Advanced, and choose project in accordance with the resolution.

  • Workflow to ensure the best quality print files

I have a number of birds in flight photos that do not whole screen. I want to crop the part of the image and print it.

I want to complete the process in Lightroom cc, however the impression that I get on the web, is that Photoshop has tools higher resampling.

What is the optimal workflow between Lightroom and Photoshop to get the best quality print file?

I had to rate an image for printing several years ago and made some tests using Photoshop, Lightroom and some third-party software, resize possibly perfect.

It turned out that Lightroom has produced the best picture, followed closely by Photoshop.

The image produced by the third-party software maybe was a bit stronger than the others, but it seemed unnatural.

You can easily test yourself - create images in the same dimensions in pixels of Lightroom and Photoshop, then compare them to view 100%. Photoshop you give several resampling options that produce slightly different results, try bicubic and bicubic smoother.

  • OfficeJet 6700 Premium - how to set the default print quality of 'normal' of the "draft."

    Hello

    Thank you for your help.

    I have a printer/all-in-one Officejet 6700 Premium.

Most of the documents that I print is for internal purposes, so "Draft" quality is sufficient.

The default factory on the print quality setting is 'Normal '. I know how manually enter and restore the "draft", but I'd rather have the defaultproject, so I have to reset it manually each time.

I could not find how to permanently fix the draft quality defect.

Again, thank you for your help.

  • 5520, I don't have the best quality on the predefined menu print option.

Hello, please can help you. I don't have a BEST QUALITY printing on the options menu. I can only print fast draft or quick project black and white as shown below. Please advise, thank you.

    Hey there @lh39!

I should be able to provide assistance on creating a new preset!

Looking at the screenshot your provided it seams like you're very limited to the print settings.  I would recommend open TextEdit on the Mac computer.  TextEdit is located in the application folder.  The only reason why I recommend the use of text edit is just to create the new printer preset for optimal quality.  Once you have TextEdit open go to file and click on print.  You should get a preview window before printing.

    Please follow the steps:

    1. click on "Show details" if it does not say "hide details".

    2. choose "paper Type and quality.

    3. change the quality of 'best '.

    4. click on the drop down preset menu

    5. click on "Save current setting as a preset.

    6. type your name of preses (E.g. best quality)

    7. click on OK and reset your is now registered

When you have finished creating the preset, you should be able to open your original print job and choose your new preset!

Let me know how it goes and thanks again for the display on the HP Forums!

  • On the image in print quality

Sometimes, you will notice that when you print an image it does not appear as expected, the colors are just a little off - step as vibrant as you want it to. There is a reason for that, and that's because when you transfer an image on your computer the colors for the image change slightly.

In the real world and in printing, the colors come from three primary colors - Cyan (light blue), Magenta (Pink) and yellow.  Then there is black which gives depth and a sound signal (CMYK).  However, on your computer screen, you're dealing with a different method. Most of the screens are made up of small LEDs that flash at very high speed to give you the colors you see. These diodes are blue, red and green (RGB).

Now, these two color combinations are very similar, this is why there is not a radical change, and for some, this change might not be noticeable. Here is an example of printing from the computer-

While this image is superb, the tones in some areas are a little more muted due to how the file was subtly shifted from CMYK to RGB. Now, you can find the details of this image by carefully creating presets for photo through various programs that essentially make up for this change, but there are other easier methods, I found.

The first of them is to use ePrint. If you have a printer with web functionality, send the photo via email diretly to the printer cancels the transition and renders the image as it was originally. Not all printers have this feature, but it is becoming more common on many newer models often.

The other method is one that you can use your printer directly if you have a card reader / USB port. Imbernon or load the image on one of these devices you can print again directly avoiding the color conversion. This will give your images a more pristine quality. Take a look at the same image printed directly from a USB key.

Just a little more dynamic and has just a touch more in detail. To get the best quality and results, sometimes it requires outside the box thinking. Generally this method will provide you with great results without any necessary error.

However, it is important to note that if you want to convert or use a format other than .jpg, it won't work, and you try to change the settings on the program that you use to compensate for the shift in color.

I hope this information is useful to you guys, if you have any questions contact me for more help!

  • How to set default settings for the DJ D1660 printer in OS Lion

I need set the defaults on my DJ D1660 on iMac with Os Lion, so that others do not print in color accidentally - I want to like the default to be gray, fast printing. I put the defaults in CUPs, but they do not appear in the default settings specified in the printer dialog boxes, which is always color and normal printing. After 45 minutes talk to Apple, today they concluded that default values should be laid down in HP software, but the software does not give you anywhere the abilty to set the default values!

I was able to define the default behavior of printers in each printer and computer I've owned or worked on the past 25 years - this is a trivial question in Windows for example - but am confused by HP and Apple. There must be a way!

    Help, please.

OK, it worked in 10.5 and earlier versions, but I have not tried 10.6 or 10.7:

-Printing something with the printing mode that you want to lock

    -Go to ~/Users/yourusername/Library/preferences.

    -Choose the com.apple.print.custompresets.forprinter. [yourprinter] .plist

    -Press command - I

-On the window that appears, check the box next to "Locked" lock file

    -Close all windows and test

  • Impossible to print to network printer with the firewall Windows blocks the outbound connection by default

    Hello

I just installed a network printer.  The PC is on a private network.  The printer is the Brother printer and it connects to the wireless router via LAN.

With the Windows Firewall, which allows outbound connection by default, I can print to the printer.

However, if I change it to block the outgoing connection by default, I can print is more to it.  I've already activated in the preset group of Core Networking and sharing files and printer.

In the Task Manager, a single exe comes from brother's installed file.  I've already activated a special rule for it and status monitor brother now shows the correct status of this printer.

How can I find out what rules do I need to put?

    Thank you

Answer seems simple.  The print spooler service (C:\Windows\System32\spoolsv.exe) must be added with the exception of outgoing.  I'm just surprised, that's not in the group for sharing files and printer.

  • Print to PDF, high quality printing. Creates .ps instead of the PDF file

I want to create a PDF (from a PDF file) using Print-> Adobe PDF. I chose that properties-> high quality printing. This used to create a PDF document, but now he wants to write it into a .ps file. How to change that? I saw a question/answer older who said uncheck "print to a file", but I do not see this option.

Click on the Advanced button in the print dialog box and make sure that "Print to a file" is not checked.

  • How to change the resolution of a photo in photoshop for high quality printing?

I am confused about how to check the actual resolution of an image in Photoshop.

I understand 72 DPI is set for the web and 300 DPI is normally required for high quality printing but how do you check the dpi in Photoshop. When you go to the size and resolution of the image, it is always in pixels (ppi)? Is it the same thing as the dots per inch?

For example. If I open a photo in Photoshop and the resolution is 72 dpi can I change this at 300ppi so that's 300 DPI when it goes to print?

Also is there a way to check the resolution of a picture that has been placed in indesign or illustrator without opening the image in photoshop?

    Thanks in advance

You should check up to resample it for any nationally - or down.

If you want to convert to CMYK, you must use the correct profile, the results may not be as expected.

CMYK profiles are dependent on the device - the press is either calibrated to a known profile (which may be available in Photoshop), or he has a profile, which you would have to get the printer.

If you want to print an Indesign document, the recommended workflow is to export to PDF and converting CMYK when the pdf file. The CMYK range is smaller than RGB, so unless you're aware of this, you will have a few surprises.

You cannot print very saturated colors with CMYK and blues often come different looking than RGB.

If you configure the Color PS with CMYK (workspace) profile settings, you can (work in RGB) press Ctrl + Y and get a glimpse of what will look like colors in CMYK. You can even edit in this mode, tweaking colors, but of course limited by the CMYK range.

For all this to work and get good results, you must have a calibrated monitor, and it helps it of course to have a good printer, who knows what she's doing. And, if possible, be there during printing. Printing on an offset press is not like printing on your desktop printer - there are much more variable.

  • Define the print default page size

My print default page size has landscape tabloid value, I need to assign the letter Portrait US because it's a pain to change each time - I see the size in 'Presets Show' and 'Manipulation of the paper', but it is not editable - where to change it?

Whoops, blonde moment, I put it in the printer preferences - doh!

  • Print quality poor on the logos of the bitmap when printing from InDesign

We have a Mac studio. One of them prints this indesign document well, the quality of bitmap images appears as it does on the screen.

On all other Macs on the same printer, print the logos of the bitmap on the same document with a really poor quality.

Any ideas? It drives me crazy that have checked the settings of the printer, and it seems that they match the Mac to work.

Don't think it's a thing of driver as anything other than the bitmap to print logos and all other documents very well.

In the print options, you should also go to the poriton of "Graphics".

Make sure it is not set to the Proxy - make sure it is set to "Subsample Optimisied" or "All".
