  In my view, there is a similar situation as the Portege M400 (also tablet PC). The cooling fan runs almost constantly.   Does anyone know how to fix the contrast on my front screen where it shows the ink levels, time?   Looks like the LCD screen is broken.  It is really not that you can do to solve this problem.  Really only three things I can think might fix.  One is an update of the firmware.  To get/check the firmware, click on this link, select your operating system, click Next, under step two click firmware in firmware, click the link and on the next page, click Download.  Run the utility that downloads and it will check the firmware and allow you to update if it's outdated.

  If the firmware doesn't fix it, the next step is going to be a hard reset.  Just, a hard reset Erases RAM on the printer, but retains all of the user settings.

  To do a hard reset:

  1. Make sure that the printer is turned on.
  2. Pull out the power cord from the printer.
  3. Pull out the power cord from the wall.
  4. Wait 30 seconds.
  5. Plug everything high and trun on the printer.

  If the hard reset does not work, the next thing to try is a partial reset.  A partail reset will reset all the settings of the printer and return the printer to factory setting.

  To make a partial reset:

  1. Follow steps 1 through 4 above, but will not go past step 4.
  2. Plug the power cord into the wall, but connect are not in the printer.
  3. Press and hold the # and 3 buttons.
  4. While maintaining the 3 and # buttons, taken the printer back in.
  5. When you see lights up, release the buttons.

  If the partial reset doesn't fix it, it won't be fixed.  I'm sorry.

  There is a way to do what you want, but it must be used with caution.  If you open the Audio Mixer Panel, select mixer of track and the track that your clips are on.  Click on the arrow at the top left of the track work (you may need to do it twice) and and access the small white window that goes down.  (See using Adobe https://helpx.adobe.com/pdf/premiere_pro_reference.pdf page 365 if you have not done this before) In the right side of this window, right-click on one of the spikes back arrow and select Amplitude and Compression and dynamics.

  

  The word dynamic appears in the white window at the top of channel mixer.  Left click on the word dynamic and select Edit.  I pasted below the appropriate settings.

  

  If you are not familiar with Compressor/Limiter, use the parameter above.

  Now read your timeline and listen carefully while I look at the counters this setting should be good for normally recorded material, and I hope that you do have to do something more. If there is still following problems may be necessary. Schedule audio below (2) drag any clip that's too soft.  All that is too strong to do drag on the calendar below that (3). For the dynamic audio editing 2 repeat the process with the effect but change the makeup to 12.00dB.  For editing audio 3 change the makeup to 0dB setting.  It's not perfect, but it should give you a low-tech solution.   I hope this helps.
