The HP Pavilion p6110y Desktop PC OpenGl 3.0 is compatible?

I recently downloaded a game on Steam (Kings mercenary) because according to this site (link below), he said that I was able to run it.

http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/CYRI

However, when I went to play the game, it is said - and I quote - "your video card's OpenGL is does not support the extension GL_ARB_framebuffer_object.» Please update your driver or contact your provider for loans OpenGL 3.0 drivers. »

If my PC is have OpenGL 3.0 drivers available for download, or will I just lose $15 on a game that I will not be able to play?

My PC model is the HP Pavilion p6110y desktop PC

Hello

Based on the following link, your machine has ONLY "Intel GMA 3100":

http://h20000.www2.HP.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/document.jsp?objectID=c01742156 & lang = to & CC = US & TaskID = 101 & ContentType = SupportFAQ & prodSeriesId = 3942799

And according to the following document, the card only supports 2.0:

http://download.Intel.com/products/graphics/intel_graphics_guide.PDF

Your machine has a slot for a video card, you can add a new card with a correctly PSU, so you won't lose $ 15.

  • Graphics card for HP Pavilion p6110y desktop PC

I recently installed Photoshop on my HP Pavilion p6110y desktop PC and I get the following 2 error messages:

Photoshop has encountered a problem with the display driver and has temporarily disabled the improvements using graphics hardware.  See the Web site of the manufacturer for the latest version of the software.

    and...

The 3D features require a minimum of 512 MB of vRAM. Photoshop has detected less than on your system.  Update your graphics card driver may solve the problem.

To check, I discovered that the computer has the Intel (R) with total GMA3100 available memory 256 MB, so I presume that is the problem.  My question is what graphics card is compatible with this system, and I should also adapt the food if I understand that may be required when changing the graphics cards?

    Dave

    Dave, welcome to the forum.

Yes, you are right that the video memory is not enough.  I suggest to upgrade the power supply unit (PSU) at least 500W.  This will allow a better video card and future updates.  I like Corsair and OCZ PSU.

Now for the video card.  I like XFX cards.  Here is a card that should work:

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16814150642

If you decide on his card you would probably at least 600W.

  • HP Pavilion p6110y desktop PC: drivers

My computer is 9 years old.  From time to time I get messages from companies telling me that my drivers are up to date.  Someone told me to go to HP (this is the computer I have) and ask them to download the drivers I am missing or obsolete.  I tried to contact you, but I was told that my warranty has expired.   I do not understand what the drivers are and don't know what to do about them.  Is there a company that I can go to get drivers and how do I know what than I need?  Can I go into a computer store (I bought my computer from Best Buy) and ask them to tell me what drivers I need and sell to me?  What can I do in this situation?

Your unit of 9 year, delivered with Windows Vista operating system. How do you WIN 10 is curious, but I regress.  There is no need to worry, because there is that NO updates past don't WIN 7 for this unit. ignore offers of these sites.  Although the one year warranty has expired, you need not worry.  Enjoy this computer almost ten years.

  • USB ports on the front of the HP Pavilion s5704y desktop computer

I have two ports usb in front of my computer, & I have an external hard drive plugged into the upper slot & had my camera cord in the bottom one. My dog bumped the bottom one & broke a small black piece of plastic on the bottom one. If I unplug the top now my computer dies. How can I replace the usb ports? I am computer stupid hope if you can understand what I'm talking about. Thank you!

    Hello

The damage is most likely more cosmetics.

Damage to the front of the USB 2.0 connector or wiring has probably occurred. A short wiring/USB connection could be fed to the bottom of your PC. Not a good thing for the health of your system. More damage can occur if left.

Have a reputable local PC tech take a look or contact HP support for service.

A quick fix to avoid any further damage would be to shut the system down, open the box and wire USB front header on the motherboard. Then disconnect the wire to the USB header.

I buy the HP Pavilion 550qe desktop computer, and it will come with a 1 to HARD drive and 8 GB of ram.   I'll be able to open and pass at the disk for one SSD... and also, can I replace the 8 GB of RAM for 16 GB?   Is RAM welded in, or is it replaceable?  I heard that HP is very difficult to spend at home, this is true even with desktop computers?

  • Upgrade processor for Hp Pavilion p6607c desktop PC

Hello. I have a desktop Hp Pavilion p6607c with an amd athlon ii x 2 220 processor atm and a corsair 500w PSU. I was wondering if I could switch to an amd phenom ii x 4 processor that stretches with problems or if there are all the other better processors that I could update. Only change that iv made about it is that iv added a Radeon HD 5670. Thanks in advance for any help.

    ERICO,

    This is clearly incorrect, as the original AMD Athlon™ II X 2 220 CPU in the computer of the OP is listed by AMD as an AM3 CPU. This is also confirmed by the fact that HP record page for the HP Pavilion p6607c desktop computer reads;

    AMD Athlon II X 2 220

    Speed: up to 2.8 GHz

    Number of cores: 2

    Socket: AM3

    Bus speed: 4000 MHz HT3

Based on this information and the fact that HP list updates for this computer include the AMD Phenom II Quad-Core and AMD Phenom II Triple-Core CPU, which both seem to be AM3 processors, I'd feel safe recommending the installation of a large number of these 95 watt AMD AM3 "C2" not to not UC and 95 watt AMD AM3 'C3' not to not UC.

    Please send Bravo

  • Upgrade graphics card for HP Pavilion A6720Y desktop computer

I have the HP Pavilion A670Y desktop computer and was thinking of upgrading the graphics card GeForce 9100 integrated to a Radeon HD5850 and adding a new power which would allow this change. Power side is there a reason that my office would not be able to support the Radeon HD5850?

It's your motherboard.  Make sure that the slot next to the PCI-E x 16 card is open as 5850 is a wide double card.  Your PC has only a 300 watt PSU so 5850 is only in need of a much larger power supply.  Look at the 12 + rating required by the 5850 and then choose the new modular power supply.  Buy not only on power alone.

Your PC has a practice of small Tower and the 5850 will consume more power (wattage) compared to your existing integrated video processor which means more heat. Be prepared to deal with this issue.  The 5850 is perhaps too card for your PC.

Don't forget that your PC system BIOS is up to date.

Open your Pc and clean all the dust. Then a measure of your current diet and buy one that is modular with almost the same dimensions.  Then measure around the PCI-E x 16 slot to make sure that the card fits.

Review the specifications of performance ATI and NVIDIA . Look at the specifications of strip memory bandwidth and level of DirectX support.

How to replace a power supply.

How to replace a video card.

  • The upgrade of the video for my desktop HP Pavilion Elite HPE-210y PC

Yes, I have two questions about my PC.

First, on the technical card for desktop HP Pavilion Elite HPE-210y PC, it shows a power 300 watt yet looking at the minimum requirments for the video card from the factory it require a 400 Watt power supply and the fact of the data sheet does not show the power suppy manufacturer he was wondering has.

Second, I'm looking to upgrade the video card and I was wondering what the card would be a good replacement for a game without having to replace the power supply but if I have to adapt what power? (With a ceiling of $ 200 - $350 on power supply)

Yes, the power is 300 watts. Minimum 400 watts are for full power to retail graphics cards. The map provided by HP was custom designed to meet the requirements of power weaker and is is not the same as a retail card. HP has traditionally used Bestec and Lite-on original UPE.

To install a gaming grade graphics card, you will need to replace your power supply. The Corsair CX500 and CX600 are highly recommend and forum favorite. Further, these power supplies are only slightly larger than a block of power SUPPLY HP stock and are known to adapt. Power supply Idleness will put you back on the $50 - $75. • Pavilion p6110y: what would be a viable replacement for the Pavilion p6110y power?

Hello!  I need to replace the power supply of my Pavilion p6110y PC.  It has a 20 motherboard connector pins and the power supplies I saw on Amazon use now 24 pins for the motherboard connectors.  When I tried to see if I could use a connector 24 pin 20 pins, the instructions I found on a motherboard said that they could not be used with HP because it had different sons.  So, I need to find a diet that I can use.  Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Barb

    Hello Barb,

The original card mother card in your PC has a power supply ATX 24-pin. Review this image and information of the motherboardHP.

The Corsair CX500, or CX600 be excellent power of food choice.

Review this HP has published a how-to on replacing the power supply section.

I had problems with the computer a few weeks ago and had to do a disk/partition Acronis backup restore. Drive C: / (and all my other readers) are working as they should but drive E:/where is the partition installed normal recovery does not restore properly. I recently had another problem and tried to do a restore using the partition HP recovery and got the error messages it is not found? I didn't use the Acronis since the results had already been mentioned.

HP web site does not list my computer and I think I need to order a set of recovery from my web research disc, but I'm going in circles on the HP web site trying to find out where to order or send an email to technical support. Looks like HP wants just to sell their hardware and then completely dump you after disregarding needs later? I am very frustrated with HP because it seems that if you have not purchased the equipment in the last 90 days you're in their "rearview mirror" when it comes to help?

I still have to call their phone support since I had 'experience' with their offshore support in the past and would really like to avoid new frustrating experience with the entire HP support system.  Why can't I just ask a question and get a resolution - is it too ask?  Apparently Yes...

Can anyone help me to get what I need to replace the recovery on my desktop computer partition and get it all working properly again? Thank you in advance for any help that will help solve this problem. Robert

Well, since the computer came with Vista, then the recovery partition will be of no other value to reinstall Vista, which I assume is not what is wanted.  If the Windows 7 install disk is always available, then reinstall Windows 7 on this disc and new departure.  Was the original Vista 32 bit and the new Windows 7 64-bit, so is not "upgrade was/is possible, but a new install anyway."  As the other 64-bit programs have been added after the upgrade to Windows 7, installers will need to be rerun to get install them after you have reinstalled Windows 64-bit.  Otherwise, the Acronis image can be used.  Unless HP has published this same model computer with Windows 7 64-bit, there is no HP support and hense no recovery partition. Sorry

    Hello!

I recently got a HP Pavilion d5200t desktop pc. He came with pre-installed Vista 64 bit. Now, I want to install XP 64 bit or XP-32 bit and Vista 64-bit.

I tried to install both XP 64 and XP-32, and he gave me a blue screen with error messages. In addition, I want to use the XP boot cd to partition my hard drive. Partition Magic gave me comaptibility warnings, so I did not. Any suggestions how get this resolved would be greatly appreciated.

  • Hard drive data from the sector error on desktop HP Pavilion magnesium grey Edition p6404y

I have a HP Pavilion p6404y desktop computer. I uninstalled and reinstalled the HP Support Assistant. When I run the wizard it tells me this - "WDC WD10 EADS-65M2B1 CMSS Disk Device-4 errors in data sectors make unusable sector." He suggested I have a scanner. If I run the quick scan, it ends and shows just as fine. If I run a full scan, it reaches 62% complete (i.e. 99% of the "left foot" criterion) and seems to freeze. I left alone for two hours to get that last percent of this test, then I just give up and cancel, so I was not able to complete a full scan.

Also, often, when I start my computer first, I get a screen that says: "one of your disks should be checked for consistency.

Then, he turns his thing and says it is finished and then starts.

It seems to be very slow all the time, too.

I also, lately, get a box saying my performance is slow, I want to move from Windows Aero to Windows basic to help performance.

So I wonder, my hard drive takes a dump, or what? This system is only two years old.

    Thank you!

Hi techrex, I would say by restarting and pressing F9 to enter the Diagnostics screen and run diagnostics on your HARD drive.  If you get an error I'd say calling HP support to see what they suggest - could be that your HARD drive is on its way.

If this is the case, immediately save all your work, photos, emails, etc..  Make your recovery DVD (press F11 at startup and have up to 4 ready virgins of DVD quality to make your recovery disks.

If you need to replace the HARD drive yourself, it will be easy to recover the PC with your recovery discs.

Remember: use esd protection and always disconnect your PC from the network if you plan to open the chassis and replace the HARD drive or perform another task on your PC, like blowing any dust with a can of compressed air.

I would like to know if this suggestion helps.
