• Active Directory + ACS Remote Agent

  I have a camera ACS (3.2). I understand that I need to use a remote ACS agent installed preferably on a domain controller, Windows authentication. My question is: if I use Active Directory, can I not use external user databases and configure generic LDAP with the appropriate settings to access Active Directory? So I wouldn't need a remote agent? Or I have to use external user databases and configure the databases Windows (which means using an external remote agent? Or I can choose two methods? His confusion as active Direcory cann support for pre-2000 windows domains and I do not know which method of mapping of external user database to use.

  You can probably do this use anyway, I guess, even though we suggest using a Remote Agent with the Windows DB. If you are not going in this direction, make sure your security permissions (http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/access/acs_soft/csacsapp/raig/rawi.htm#642394)

  I've had users use the LDAP with Windows Ad database before and it works very well, the only difference (IIRC) is you don't get all the group maps of Windows with this method, but for the authentication of the user only, it should work fine.

  I installed the Remote Agent ACS on my AD controller. I can add the agent to ACS... but I do not see the Windows authentication avaiable in the agent...

  The Agent runs with a service account that has all rights AD.

  Anyone able to help?

  Just, we have improved our 3.3. ACS to the latest version without problem. I created the Remote Agent on GBA, but we I install the Agent on the Windows 2003 Server I get "could not initialize variables. Anyone? Thank you.

  -Log on to the computer as long as Local Administrator, preferably 'administrator' and then try to uninstall the Remote Agent & try and install back. Log on locally to the box and install the AR.

  -If above does not work, you may need to manually uninstall the Remote Agent. After uninstalling, you can try to reinstall the latest version of the remote agent.

  Is it mandatory that remote agent for CSA will be installed on the primary domain server, would this work if it were to be installed on a virtual server that is a member of the main domainserver? This should be used for authentication using a vpn.

  Good evening!

  I work in IT and my understanding of these things is superior to what a novice and a part of the reasons why this question is so frustrating. It should also be noted that I am also posting this in Dell support forums to cover all the bases.
  Here is my goal:
  To use my model of TV LED Panasonic TC-L47e5 as my primary and only monitor for a Dell Optiplex 745
  My configuration:
  Dell uses a DVI-I've got splitter (DVI & VGA) as she went out to monitoring devices. I use a DVI (male) to HDMI (female) to connect on one of my HDMI inputs on the TV.
  The problem:
  Until I'm the adapter to the DVI, I used the VGA with no issues whatsoever. However, once I plugged the DVI - HDMI setting, it was working fine until I unplugged the VGA it is connected to the connector on the back of the TV. The screen went black, even though it was on the HDMI input. I tried to update the drivers, configuration of the display settings, etc and nothing allows me to run the installation of DVI-HDMI without going through the connected VGA also. If I switch back to the VGA input on the tv I see black. But if I unplug the HDMI, I see the desktop. It's very strange, but it seems that thought the VGA adapter display takes over, which is insane, because the pc shows through a DVI - I connection separation. I scoured the internet for a solution and this little hiccup is driving me crazy. Any help you all can provide is greatly appreciated.

  Welcome to the Microsoft community.

  You need a video cable to make the physical connection. For a better image quality, you must connect to the computer to the TV using standard VGA ports or via DVI to HDMI cable provided your TV supports these ports.

  I suggest to disconnect the HDMI cable and try to connect it buy, follow these steps.

  1. Turn off your computer and place it near your TV. Unplug the monitor, but leave the mouse and keyboard connected.
  2. Connect the video cable appropriate to your computer's output to your TV.
  3. Turn on your TV and set it to the input that matches the output on your computer. You may need to refer to the supplied with your television user's guide for instructions on how to do it.
  4. Turn on your computer.
  5. You should see windows displayed on your TV. If the screen looks stretched, or part of the screen seems cut off, you will probably have to adjust the screen resolution in Windows.
  6. If Windows is displayed on your TV, you will need to reconnect the computer to your monitor and adjust the screen resolution before connect you to your TV.

  I have 100 sequences from 3 minutes to the Premier Pro, I need to export, I have usually run it via Media Encoder from one day to the next but pose with transitions and keyframes (for example in the blur effect) restores do not smoothly. When I export by the Prime Minister, it is absolutely perfect. The setting is exactly the same. But when I export it through ME, the fades and transitions between the effects (in particular the Gaussian Blur) doesn't run as smooth as it should. I experimented with a few different settings, codecs and searched the Internet without success. I don't want to first export directly because I will need to do the same with 100 videos in the future.   I currently have in place an Appliance, Cisco Secure ACS using Windows as main server authentication. Cisco Secure acts as a GANYMEDE server +. I have two groups defined in Cisco Secure: Netadmins and security ITD. Users of the Netadmins group need access to all switches and routers on the network. ITD security must only access async line 53 on a router 2611 for a band of a firewall and no other access to all network devices offline. How can I limit access to the Cisco Secure security ITD group to line 53 only?

  In the security group, I would create a Restriction of access to IP network with an entry permit. Essentially to allow access to the single port on 2611 only.

  The AAA Client field is the name that you gave to the 2611 in the network config. Address will be * unless you want to restrict access to the ip or address. Port... never quite sure with async if the port value must be "async 53" or "line 53".

  If you look in the pass/fail for the nas-port attribute, you'll see what that T + sends to the ACS. This should help you know what to put in the NAR.

There is also a political Posture that requires that the customer have a fixed version of McAffee Antivirus from the Posture.

  When connecting to the wifi network, the client authenticates properly using the user name and, after authentication, it launches the Cisco's NAC Agent in order to pass the posture. At this point, the Agent NAC pop-up displays an error indicating that the operating system of the client is not supported, although NACAgent 4.9.5.10 supports Windows 10 and patch5 ISE 1.3 also supports Windows 10. Due status Posture maintains in State waiting, the customer is not allowed to connect with the correct permissions for the network by the ISE authorization policy.

  My questions are:

  You know the reason for this error showed by NAC Agent (client operating system not supported)?

  Do you know what are the correct versions of the NAC and ISE Agent to support customers on Windows 10 connections?

  And also, Windows 10 is supported by ISE 1.3 patch5 or maybe it's better to move to ISE 2.0?

  I'll guess that maybe the VA of Cisco and databases supported OS version are not current.  Try to go to the Administration->-> Posture--> updates the settings and click on "Update Now".
