The KVM Port configuration series B

Hello team,

Is it possible to change the KVM Port for servers UCS B-Series?

I used WireShark to check that access KVM for B-Series use the same default port as UCS C-Series (2068).  I found the instructions for changing port KVM for C-series.  However, I have found no documentation on the change of this value for B-Series.

The CLI of the UCS, I tried searching orders local-mgmt thus brought to the system, fabric interconnects and individual blades, but I still could not find something.

Thank you

Trevor

Trevor,

Given that the KVM is NAT would be through the management interface of the FIs, we do not allow the port to change on the B series.

Kind regards

Robert

  • Series 5300 MCUS are supported by the flexible port configuration?

    Hi all

I could not find a guide to the administrator or something for the MCU5300 series. I want to learn if the ports are flexible or not. You know that it supports up to ports 20HD or 40SD. Is it possible to make this support 10HD and 20 ports SD at the same time as Polycom RMXes? Or do I have to choose a mode (HD or SD) and to use them only in this mode?

    Best regards

    Chambers oumar

From what I understand, it is the characteristics of the MSE8510 in a standalone MCU.

On the MSE8510 is not possible, then I say:

No, it is not possible to have a flexible port configuration.

So yes, it is a fixed parameter.

Here, some more old, posting on the MSE8510:

  • DataGuard problems, bad to the log_archive_dest_2 port configuration

Hello! Thank you all in advance for your help and sorry for my English, I will try to explain as best as possible.

    We have a dataguard.

It has two headphones, the ports are 1534 and 1544, but... someone changed their 1535 once there is and now I had to re-set up everything again.

The thing is log_archive_dest_2 at the elementary level is wrong, because it points to instead of 1534-1535. I tried to edit init.ora and restart the instance but it always points to 1535 again.

I don't know if this setting depends on the other, or there is a hidden configuration, I don't see

I have recreated the password file in the primary and copy it to the secondary, after that I restarted both cases, but nothing

No sense to me. Do you have a rebuild on my system and was not able to reproduce.

At this point, I would like to grep for the problem (change of wider path if necessary)

    grep 1535 -R /opt/oracle/*

I hate when it makes no sense. There must be somewhere.

    Best regards

I was thinking about it more. If you have a data broker, they can change the database settings. Any change of this?

I see this in your settings file that supports this theory

    *.dg_broker_start=TRUE

  • The VI "VISA set up the Serial Port" will only work at 9600 baud

I wrote a Serial Port RS232 RW.vi monitor of ' "which works for most. The problem is that it will not meet the alternative port configuration settings... For example: the default RS232 serial port configuration is:

(COM1, 9600 baud, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, no without parity)

As a test, I use a Null Modem cable to connect to my LabView Com1 port to another PC running RealTerm Serial Port Monitor... Using my "RW.vi RS232' newly designed with the port settings of (COM1, 9600 baud, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, no without parity), I can send and cannot receive data back throughout the day no problem...

However, if I configure the port "RW.vi RS232" all other configurations, such as (COM1, 2400 baud, 7 data, 1 stop bit, odd parity bits)... He will not take the expected risks and continues to operate @ 9600 baud rate etc.

Then, I changed the settings default "RS232 RW.vi" (2400,7,1, Odd)

He still refuses to derogate (COM1, 9600,8,1, no...)

I also went in the Device Manager of Win XP on the system of LabView and configured manually Com1 2400,7,1, Odd

and yet,... work at the "RS232 RW.vi" @ 9600,8,1, none

Everyone can test my VI in the car and see if they have the same problem of not being able to see the new changes in the Port configuration settings... other than (COM1, 9600,8,1, no...)...?

FYI... Unfortunately my LabView runs on Version 6.0, you may need to up-conversion of the attached vi

Instead of simply appreciate the comments, you need to implement.

Having closed VISA inside the loop is definitely the problem.  And Crossrulz is 100% correct about the problem being that the serial port gets zero to default baud rate after the closure of the port.  Here's the proof.

Note that while may have set the port settings manually in the Device Manager, these parameters are reviewed by the pilot VISA.  If you look in the measurement and Automation Explorer under devices and Interfaces > serial and Parallel, you'll see the default settings using the VISA driver.  If you change this setting, your program will work as desired.  But this is not the appropriate fix.  The correct solution is to get the VISA close out of the while loop.

The port settings are established in this order.

    1. by Windows device drivers.

    2. by the VISA driver as set in MAX.  Since you are using VISA, these settings will be automatically replace #1.

    3. by the port settings, you set programmatically in your LabVIEW program.

  • Printer port configured incorrectly, how to remove or reconfigure

I am setting up a new system of Windows 7 Home premium and made a mistake when setting up the new machine to access one of my existing home network printers. I have incorrectly set up a new printer port and need to know how to remove it.  When I try to install the network printer now (rightly), the wizard tells me to choose another port name because what I used already exists.  The port name is unique to my existing print server (DLink DP-G321) and should be used for this printer.  Can someone tell me how to remove the bad port configuration, or get the wizard you want to replace it?  I suspect that this may require a registry hack, which I have no problem to try with the correct instructions.  Thank you

Fujitsu Windows 7 laptop (all USB2)

used the full software and installed a printer HP Officejet Pro 8500 A909a Series as a network printer.

The printer installed fine and don't have USB connection

All the software and scanning twain installed, so I was able to scan the copy etc.

I could browse and choose my PC from the front panel of the printer

However, it was Tuesday confirmed to a friend that their printer would work on a new laptop - bought the laptop

Fujitsu - but more recent model with 3 USB ports

I have install and then used the same FULL configured driver to be installed (V14)

selected as a network printer and then, during the installation, I get an error hardware error USB and USB drivers

All the USB works, that I've used - BUT the printer is networked and no USB used

tried to download the driver and install it-exactly the same question

SO I configure using the devices and printers 'add printer' network and installed

    I can print OK

    BUT no analysis facilities

DO not know why on a network installation USB even when searching for

It's a problem because Drivet package not has not been updated for USB3 - y at - it a patch?

Thanks for any help / advice

    Hi etaf,.

I guess the short answer is: Yes, the problem with the software and the 3.0 Port.

The long answer with a possible work around is as follows: first of all, the software looks for minimum requirements. Because the software is older, he doesn't know what a 3.0 port. You are right when you say that it should work since you do not use the USB and use wireless instead, but this is not the case.

There is something we can try, but I can't guarantee it will work. I thought first we could connect a USB cable and run the software made to force the software to see the USB port, but then the software wouldn't even get far enough because you can't plug the cable to the most later in the installation.

My second thought and most promising suggestion is to connect the USB cable (although we do normally not until the software prompts us to) and use the installation wizard HP Print to get the insteaad of software to use the CD or download from the printer driver page. Still, I can't say with certainty that it works, but I don't see why it would not be worth a try.

If it works, and we get the software installed you can convert the USB connection to a wireless connection using the software. Fingers crossed! Download and run the with the following link. Printer HP install wizard for Windows

If this does not work, or you don't want to bother with it (not worth trying), I might consider getting a new model of the printer. You can even call HP. They might be able to offer a discount on a newer model. If you are in the Canada, U.S. dial 800-474-6836 or you can Contact HP worldwide.

  • Tecra A8: external keyboard connected to the serial port: the necessary specific configurations?

    Hello
I want to share a monitor and an external keyboard with Tecra A8 and a desktop computer. To do this, I bought a switch 2-port Linksys where I plugged the external monitor and a keyboard. With the monitor without problem because there is a specific port for this. However my Tecra has only 3 USB ports and a serial port 6-pin where I connected (with a 6-pin Mini DIN adapter) on the keyboard. When I turn on the screen it's ok, but the keyboard (I also tried a mouse) does not work. Do I need a specific configuration on the serial port to accept the external keyboard? If so, what commands do I need on the XP operating system?
    Thank you
    Luis

RGB (monitor) port used to connect the external monitor.
If you want to connect the external keyboard, you have to use the USB ports.
Additional legacy USB emulation must be enabled for the keyboard.
These settings you can change in the Toshiba HWSetup under control panel.

If you connect multiple devices to the switch USB (hub) Please be sure that the USB hub using external power.

  • Read the Serial Port in case of break in series

    Hello world

I want to create a VI who will write a series, write interruption, then wait for an interrupt series to be received and if it is received, read what's on the serial port.  However I can't the VI to detect that an interruption of the series took place.  I looked at and followed what was done in the "Detect the Event.vi Break" example in examples of Labview.  The microphone that speaks to the VI sends a break of 13 bits (approximately length 57us), as expected, proved by the use of an oscilloscope but Labview is not contagious. I have attached the VI in question.  It is used as a subvi in a larger program.  I'm missing something or doing something wrong?

I do not know.  230 400 is a very fast pace.  The UART in the PC isn't really in the game, but the EasySync USB/serial box is what is the factor.  USB is part of the communication may be adding a few complications.  You may browse the EasySync detailed technical data to see if they talk about it.

I would certainly try a very long break first.  If it works, then start working backwards to small jumps.  If a long pause does not work, then you know that perhaps the problem is elsewhere.

  • Printer does not work on the Windows XP computer, get the error message like "an error occurred during port configuration. This operation is not supported.

Original title: 1. printer stopped communicating with the computer. 2 port - associated configuration error?

I have a big problem. All of a sudden my printer - AIO Photo964 said he cannot communicate with my computer. The printer works fine. I tried switching cables USB, all the trouble shooting suggestions, etc. etc. Nothing works and it makes no sense. I can't print anything. I thought it would be that I installed a Seagate external hard drive backup, then I uninstalled the program - no help. ITunes installed recently, because she had changed the printer default, changed back - no help. The USB cable is not tight in the printer (or both cables, I tried), but AFAIK it's not new (?) And when I try to configure the port, I get the error message "an error occurred during port configuration. This operation is not supported"I have no idea what it means.  Can someone help me with this? I have to return a new printer? The USB port on the printer is repairable if this is the problem? How will I know? Who would do that?

    Thanks, I'd appreciate any help.

It is always useful to have the complete error message without paraphrase.

It also helps to identify the version of Windows you have, including service pack.

And it helps to give the manufacturer of the printer in addition to the model.  In your case, I guess you have a Dell printer.  I know that some Dell printers are rebadged Lexmarks, but I don't know if it's a.

Why you try to configure the USB port?  It cannot be configured - you've discovered.  It's normal.

It's quite strange that an iTunes installation would have had something to do with the printers.  What printer was made by default after installing iTunes?

You say you have tried another USB cable.  Have you tried using a different USB port on the computer? Have you checked in the Device Manager (start > run > devmgmt.msc > OK) to see if there is all the warning icons in the category "controllers of Bus USB?

I suggest you uninstall the printer software and driver completely and reinstall by following the directions in Its first Article.

Don't skip step 4.  After step 4 and step 5, follow these steps:

Important: If you have a Lexmark printer, skip the following

Open a command prompt window (start > run > cmd > OK)
type the following in the black command prompt window, and then press ENTER after each line

    net stop spooler
dependent on the spooler of sc config = RPCSS
    net start spooler
    output

Note that there is no space before the = and there is a space after it.

  • WRT350N configuration based on the web does not load on the cable port.

I've had this router for over 6 months, and only in the last two weeks, I could not access the configuration page based on the web through my PC, connected to one of the 4 wired ports. None of the laptops I tried (Win XP, Vista) are connected via Wi - Fi without a problem. Obviously, this isn't an emergency, because I can access it through the laptop, but I use mostly my PC to manage the router.

Any ideas on other things to check?

Thanks for the tip, but that did not work... However, trying to fix another problem, with the USB port of a storage drive, I re-load the updated firmware and am now able to access the configuration page. Still no action on the USB key if!

    Thanks again!

  • How to connect the port device series to the Blackberry without Martin Simulator

Is there a program that can interface with the Blackberry Simulator to connect to a device connected to the serial port of the computer to simulate a Bluetooth connection?  I can't believe that Martin is the only way to do it.  Martin offers a free demo version sort of their program?  I searched everywhere but found no one.  I don't need a bluetooth receiver real but just the software in order to supply data from serial port to the Simulator (and I guess that convince the Simulator data from serial port to a Bluetooth device).   Thanks for any help that anyone can provide.

I'm not aware of any device that will help with this.

    Two suggestions:

    (a) you can write some sort of test, that will feed a data script as if it came from a Bluetooth device.  I got it done in the past - it does not test the treatment of Bluetooth, but it allows you to drive the application program.

    (b) it is not really difficult to test on the device.  Little painful to recompile and reload, but if you have a test drilling (a), then you are only testing the Bluetooth part, which you won't be able to test a connection series anyway.

  • need to set the com port for adapter Series USB Belkin need com 1 or 2 default to com8

I have a belkin Windows serial adapter 7 puts on com8 and I have equipment that does not download that on port com 1 or 2 How can I change the Compote?  I can't change my gear to any other comport com just 1 or 2.  There is nothing assigned to com 1 or 2 on my pc I can find in the hardware configuration.

Check the documentation that came with the device or on the Belkin support website.  How to change the COM port is specific to the device and its drivers, nothing in Windows that can force this change for you.

  • break in series on the com port does not work

    Hello everyone:

    I have the following problem:

I am writing a command via the ' 'entry visa' vi on my pc com port. in some cases the com port do not return anything. This means that my "visa read" vi would timeout. the problem is that, later, I need to send more orders but must break the line in order to be able to do. I inserted the "breach of visa" vi but didn't have the reaction I was expecting. the line does not break. I tried to increase the duration of the break, but that does not work either.

    Any ideas?

    By using LabVIEW 2013

A break will not break the connection, it will just a 1 to the Tx line for a period longer than 11 baud (?) or specified length.

A hardware check that the breakdown is send: connect a scope or a DMM TX and GND, a 500ms break must be clearly visible even on a "slow" DMM (k resistance 10 and two LED antiparrallel or RS232 minitester practice would do the same job )

  • Error: The property node (arg 8) visa to configure the Serial Port

I'm trying to control 8 USB to R232 via a HUB of 10 ports Tripp-Lite (model U222-010-R) and do not have consistent results.  Just after rebooting my computer, I have no problem in running the following program: (I tried to download the VI directly but without success, so here's the extract)

I made sure that the COM ports that I select are that one is available on both the Device Manager and in the NOT-MAX.  But after awhile, it does not work or if the HUB is unplugged and replugged in (even if the names are correct and up-to-date in devices and NOR-MAX Manager) I get the error code "property Node (arg 8) visa set up a Serial Port (Instr) .vi" I want to be able to see these ports consistantly more without having to restart my computer all the time.  Is there a better Setup for this? The previous installation of the computer has a PCI card for it and we have not had any problems with the code, but are facing problems with our upgrade.  The old computer ran Windows XP and had cards PCI and the new computer that I am using a Windows 8 and the USB HUB.  Thanks for any help you can give!

    Mr says:

    Jeff,

It is a one off lines from specifications Tripp-lite:

-On bus power, 500mA from the USB 2.0 computer port is shared between hub ports

This would be in support of what I need or not necessarily?

    -Mr

No! That's the 50mA by port not 500mA.  an order of magnitude full powered USB (if you want reliable - if you want real problems which appears irratically each time only and is a headache to track down which would)

  • Determine the NIF port used by the HEART when it is configured in a port channel

I recently saw an excellent video of live Cisco UCS troubleshooting performance that showed how to track traffic network within Cisco UCS. The speaker made a comment however, to determine that NIF is used by a high HEAT when port-channels are used between the FEX and FI there are different commands to run. You will need to determine the outcome of hash-load balancing. Unfortunately, he never entered what were these commands.

Then when we have pinned port-channel instead of HIFs and NIFs veths, what commands will indicate which way is used?

    Matt,

    You can use this command:

    B (nxos) # sh port-channel - balance load< this="" will="" tell="" you="" the="" load="" balance="" method="">

If you use source-dest-ip as in my case, you can use this command:

B (nxos) # sh port-channel - the balance of the charge-transfer interface port-channel ID vlan ID x.x.x.x y.y.y.y dst - ip, src - ip and it will show you something like this:

Lack of params will be substituted by 0.

Algorithm to balance the load on the switch: source-dest-ip
    crc8_hash: 109 port id coming out: EthernetX / Y  < this="" is="" what="" you="" are="" looking="" for="">
Param (s) used to balance the load to calculate:
    DST - ip: y.y.y.y
    SRC - ip: x.x.x.x
    DST - mac: 0000.0000.0000
    CBC - mac: 0000.0000.0000

For the blade, depends on which the active vNIC is, for the FEX, depends on pinning, based on the server is located in the blade slot.  Strange servers go through odd links and same servers through the same ports.
