• Satellite Pro L500 - press Fn key blocks the laptop computer to blue screen

  Hi all
  First post so please ask if I did not include all the necessary information.

  I have the Satellite Pro L500-1TX (Win 7 32 bit os) and everything worked fine including the Fn menu drop-down button.

  Now, whenever I press the Fn key, it blocks the laptop to a blue screen. The computer then restarts automatically and that it was an unplanned shutdown offers the usual safe mode option.

  Unfortunately, I do not know when this started as I do not use the fn often hesitate so just do a system restore. I don't know how far back to go. It was several weeks before I associated accidents hit the Fn key.

  Any suggestions as to which Toshiba drivers may need to be reinstalled. The computer otherwise works fine.

  I have a laptop Lenovo G530, who has a problem with the flickering of screen that worsen. The computer screen start through a crazy screen flicker then stop and try again. I already checked the cable connection to lcd screen, motherboard and reinstall connection of the LCD to motherboard located under the keyboard, as someone suggested in another ad that I found online that solved the problem for them. I'm starting to think that there might be a bad converter or screen because I hooked laptop for external monitor and it works well with flicker happening when the flickering occurs on laptop.

  Elizabeth is correct. The same is true for the wired connection icon (even though it's less often). If a connection is established for ever, let the mouse on the icon, and you should get an indication of the intensity of the signal. My guess is that the signal strength is not good (or better than good), resulting in an intermittent loss of connectivity. If this is the case determine the repositioning of your equipment, including the access point (router?). Imagine a straight line between your access point and of the wireless device connected to the PC - which material is happen? Radio waves through a wall/ceiling diagonal pass far more material than if they cross perpendicularly. As far as a right angle, you get the more material it is to weaken the strength of the signal.

  Other things that can affect the signal strength are the distance and other radio parasites. You can try to change the wireless channel that could mitigate interference with other radio devices.

  OK, so this is what happened:

  While my friend was working on his laptop computer that she had his charger plugged but it did not load. I discovered that the lead from the Charger AC/DC had frayed and should resolidering. After that the laptop was working fine, I looked inside the laptop to check the AC plug connector before I fixed the cable.

  I noticed that the WiFi card was broke, so I changed it to a WiFi card in my other laptop used. After back the laptop together and put the battery in, the lights on the front flash blue only and the power light stays orange as if the laptop is in stand-by mode. I can hear the hard drive turns and the CPU heats more CD-ROM drive works, but I can't start that the laptop just sits there with the Orange.

  I tried out the CMOS battery, I took out the main battery and just used the AC/DC adapter, but the same thing happens.
