the power cable must be plugged or removed after fully charging the battery?

Is there a problem with do not remove the power cable, after that the battery is fully charged on the Alien ware M17XR4?. In other words do fine even if the power cable is not disconnected once the battery is fully charged on the M17XR4?. Advice needed please.

Most of the Lithium batteries are 'Smart Batteries' these days. It is a smart charging circuit.

These means that they can detect when they are fully charged and continues to load (for some reason, so they do not over heat or explode).

You can see in Windows that battery knows when she is fully charged (and cargo stops).

However, I still like to bike (or run on battery... up to 30% or more) at least twice a month.

Hi I have a question about my laptop Toshiba Satellite. I've had it for almost 2 years and it worked fine up until just recently, my laptop stops itself and I thought before that this could be due to a heating problem but when it stops my laptop is not yet hot. I have installed new programs or anything again for that matter so I'm honestly confused? What's wrong with that? I also keep my laptop on a laptop computer fan to keep over heating.

    Hello

It might possible that the battery is going bad.

    However, try the following steps:

    Method 1:

What you're doing are OK, if you still use your laptop as a mobile device and not as a replacement of permanent office.

Modern laptops won't let not the battery overload. If the color of the white led charge\power then it is no longer supported. If it's orange, then it reloads.

If a laptop is used as a permanent replacement office and always stay connected, so the best plan would be to remove the battery and store it in a cool place. Plug the power adapter and use it as your desktop. There are a number of schools of thought on the State of charge of the battery must be stored. As long as you use the laptop with the battery from time to time and let it load, the battery must remain in good condition for at least a few years.

  • Pavilion g6-2304au: calibration of the battery

Salvation is my laptop for 1 1/2 years old and just bought a new battery. A connected for about 6 hours then put on the market. A battery has checked with hp support assistant who said battery was in need of calibration. Then turned off, turns back on and press the ESC key. You press F2, then doesn't have battery checked by there who says also required calibration. If you click on calibrate, who asked for cord AC in which I did. It was at 23:00 Went to bed, woke up at 3:30 and it made all the checks hard drive. All had passed, but he still worked long dst end of hard disk checking. Calibration of the battery said 20% discharge. Check again at 08:00 and it was being tested, while the battery calibration said 0%.

Power cord is remained plugged all the time because I never seen a screen saying the device. Now I unplugged it and the % is on the rise and test was not yet finished. Is this OK or something went wrong?

    Hello

The captain had to be disconnected after fully charging the battery, then access the system BIOS test - loop until that error, then reload again in full, finally repeat test battery.

    Hello

If you are still in the period of time where you can return the machine and get it replaced, it's definitely what I would suggest - you shouldn't be troubleshooting a whole new machine and it sounds like a hardware problem.

  • MS A30 - battery charging when I plug in the power cable

    Hello

I'm having some problems with (I think) on my A30 power management utility. When I am running on battery power and I plug in the power cable, the battery continues to discharge even if the laptop 'knows' that it runs on the power grid (ie the utility says "current generator: alternating current.") "Online, discharges: 82%. Strangely, if I put the laptop in mode 'sleep', then resume, she goes back to normal (i.e. working on current alternative, the battery charges).

It is true, I think that this began after I installed "PC Pitstop optimize Scan" www.pcpitstop.com (please, not conferences - I used a couple of their public services before and they were very good, so I thought it would be too much), so I guess it's some sort of configuration problem, but I have no idea where to go from here. I went through all the options on the power management utility, but they all look sensitive. Any ideas (other than do not install software stupid, doubtful)?

    Kenny

    Hi Kenny,

I experienced this behavior on my A30 where the system says it works on current alternative, but still drains the battery and stops eventually.

In my case the problem has proved to be a loose DC Jack that sometimes cuts off contact with the socket on the back of the laptop. This momentary loss of power DC seems to provoke the power management utility switch to battery power, even though the DC power is restored. The only way out of this situation is to Hibernate / restarting the laptop.

I think that it is a problem with the power supply subsystem in the laptop that does not react properly when it encounters a momentary loss of DC. Then the Toshiba power management utility is no longer responds correctly and switches to the battery power.

My only solution to this was to anchor the DC cable to the back of my A30 so that there is now no chance of the plug DC moving in its socket. This has proved to be very effective for my A30 and I've had no recurrence of the problem.

  • Missing optical drives after removal and reinstallation of the only power cables.

I had a problem with my cd - rw (plextor px-5224ta) and dvd - rom not opening not readers.  I opened my case and only disconnected the power cables, leaving cables ribbons connected, so that I can drag players a bit and work with trays to correct.  Once this was accomplished, I reinstalled the screw on their trays and reconnected power cables.  I start and the discs are recognized only in the Setup, nothing in the Manager device or workstation tab 'manage '.  Once XP starts they disappear completely, no yellow exclamation point, no code error 39, etc just disappeared.  I searched through endless forums and this site and tried everything that has been mentioned previously (double check all physical connections, remove case filters in the registry, the thing FixIt from Microsoft).  When none of that worked, I figured that the discs themselves were dead, even if they would be open, close and turn.  I cannibalized another pc with a cd - rw to hitachi and who threw in there without change.  I booted from the cd - rw with no problems, but windows is not yet anything optical displays on my system.  The cd - rw and dvd - rom are configured as IDE primary master and slave, respectively, although I've tried in the secondary without success.  It seems to me that I have completely a software problem.  I think I'm pretty computer savvy but I am down to a reinstall of XP MCE and I wanted to check with the experts, if I had missed something before.  And if it doesn't I'll throw him off the roof :-)

    Thanks in advance,

    Hello Kcm308lr,

Thank you for your message.  Your troubleshooting steps are healthy, the only thing that I would recommend before you resort to the "roof" or "Reinstall" would update the firmware or drivers.  You should be able to find this on the part of the manufacturer of your computer or the website of the manufacturer of the CD - RW.  Please let us know if it did or did not help to solve your problem.

  • Color scheme changing based whenever I plug in the power cable

Hi, recently I have a very annoying problem.

Whenever I plug or on the power cable the entire screen "blinks" a few times, shows a ToolTip really fast (I caught with a print screen and it says: "the color scheme was changed to Windows 7 Basic.) A running program is not compatible with certain Visual elements of Windows. Click here for more information. ("I can't click as it closes quickly) and then the screen is back to normal.

Well, it's kind of normal. Open windows are becoming fully optimized not and if I'm on youtube then the video becomes really small, but if I reduce the window and open it again then it's good.

It wasn't really a problem for me until yesterday when it happens again and became a black chrome, which has been opened until I plugged in the cable, and it took a few minutes before it returned to normal (unless I closed and opened again).

I tried already in the system-> performance options properties to select the 'Adjust to improve the appearance"and it did not work.

Unfortunately, I see no option here to post a screenshot of that.

In any case, I have HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC with Windows 7 Home Premium.

I have enough disk space in my computer and the programs that are open, when I do this are usually office (word or excel for most) and chrome.

What can I do to fix this annoying problem?

    Try these:

1 make sure that your graphics driver is up to date. Check the HP website for the latest drivers.

    2. make sure that the power plan that you use is not set to Power Saver. To check, go to Control Panel > system and security > Power Options.

    3. make sure that your computer has enough memory when you unplug the power cable. To check, do a right-click the taskbar, click Task Manager, and under the performance tab, verify the amount of memory is used. If it is more than 70%, you are running low on memory. Try closing some programs and then see if the problem persists.

    4. run the Aero troubleshooter. See this link for instructions: Open the Aero Troubleshooter.

  • L855 satellite must be plugged into a time of power

    Laptop: Toshiba Satellite L855.

    Hello

I had a power supply problem and I describe below.

It all started in a morning, laptop has not powered, so I plugged it in to the power source, necessary to wait 30 minutes for the power button to work, the next morning same thing happened. Tried removing the battery, same problem appear.

If the stop of the GET of the laptop then turn on it works, the problem occurs when it is shut down for a period of time.
I left a night the laptop plugged in, it started normally, seems that there is something that has become warmer so pc can start.

Can someone tell me what this 'something' may be? It can be replaced? What is the real problem?

It is not easy to offer a good explanation why this happens. Fact is that work well electronic power is responsible for power supply for laptop s.
I can't tell if something must be more hot or not, but this case should be checked and reviewed by Toshiba service provider.

Believe me, in this case there not much you can do about it. You can just do a few tests, but no more than that. I highly recommend you contact the nearest Toshiba service provider in your country and ask for help.
Let the technicians to control your machine.

Out of curiosity: is the warranty still valid?

  • iPhone 6 has ran out of battery juice, but won't turn on after connecting the power cable.

    Hello.

I have an iPhone SIMless 6 (iOS v9.3.2) who missed the battery nothing to juice and turn off the power. I plugged the white USB power cable to a Windows laptop, but nothing happened. No power on, sounds, etc. I even tried another power cable and the source (power supply AC adapter and cable for the iPad). I don't even know if it is supported or not.

    Thank you in advance.

If it is disabled on its own because of lack of power, it will take some time before he can return to the top.

Plug it in and leave there for at least 10 to 15 minutes.

  • Satellite M55 goes out when you disconnect the power cable

    Hello

to unplug my laptop the plug rather than switch to the battery, my laptop turns off often simply even if the battery is fully charged. Other time things work as it should.

I did some research and my problem seems similar to that detailed here in this post.
Maybe someone knows the solution for this problem?

    Thank you.

    Hello Luke

As in the other topic described, you must communicate with the service and explain exactly what is happening. I fear that there may be something wrong with electronic power supply. We can just speculate on this.

I fear unfortunately there is nothing you can do alone.

  • Satellite Pro L300 - use of the power cable between the countries

I'm buying a Toshiba laptop Satellite Pro L300 T4200 everything here in New Zealand, where I will be staying for the next six months. However, I'm heading back to Alaska (United States) in April.

Someone could answer my concerns about the use of power cables and to buy once back in the States. for the most part is it safe to use a USA power cable in this laptop bought NZ without breaking something to bits?

When you return to the States, I think that you must travel kit adapter power supply only.
I recommend you consult your dealer and gathering information that it will be the best for you.

  • Satellite C660 - 115 WLan connection only works when the power cable is connected

    Hello

A few weeks ago, I bought a Satellite C660-115. I want to surf the internet anywhere in my house without any son/cables.
On the first day, I had this problem: when I disconnect _power_ cable, the wireless connection will stop working.

The Web page on my screen will always be there, but a new page loading is a problem.
It is sometimes useful to recharge (by pressing F5), - sometimes not. It is always useful to "ip address of repair", but not for long.

The only solution is to atach regardless of how much power the battery has still the power cord.
When I do, it is no problem whith the connection at all.
I went back to the store where I bought it, they related to their own wireless network and they have had the same problem after a few minutes. In the shop too attach the power cable solved the problem.

So the problem must be in my lap top, not in my network (modem or almost).

Doesn't this all seem familiar, and if so, how can I solve this?

I hope that my English is understandable, I live in Holland.
    Thanks in advance!

    Here is the solution:

  • Satellite A120: Microphone does not work when the power cable is unplugged

I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro A120, which has just begun to play up...

I regularly record music of my DJ Mixer in microphone of my laptop entry, recording in Adobe Audition.

Because the power supply makes a buzzing sound, I can't register with the power cable plugged... If I always record with the unplugged power cable, running off battery.

I've never had any problems before, but what has caused the problem, I now, was earlier the battery ran out while recording, put the laptop into hibernation mode.

Since then, I can't register with the power cable disconnected. He recorded only with the cable - which is not a good cause snoring.

It is not a problem with hearing, because in Windows Vista its implemented the problem proved too. As soon as I unplug the power cable, microphone disappears from view.

I used to work in IT support, so I'm not a technophobe - but I can't for the life of me works why it would suddenly start to occur, power is not related to the entrance it is micro... !

One of you lovely people have ideas? I checked power options and the Device Manager to see if theres no hardware issues, but there isn't.

I also reinstalled my sound card drivers.

It's strange. I guess you tried a boot cold fresh. Hibernation can sometimes cause problems with the devices.

    Try to update the BIOS.

If all else fails, you may need to reinstall Windows. (Backup your data and run recovery by holding down the button reset during power on)
