  When you said that the printer is 'Off Line', do you mean that the printer does not connect to the computer or that the printer feeds NOT on at all?

  Whatever it is, please make sure that you have the printer power cable connected directly to a wall outlet and not a bar/power strip.   Thanks for your suggestion on how to my HP printer to online status.  I'm sure it would work, but I found a solution more simple in just re-start the computer.  Initially, I plugged it to the printer at the UBS port when the computer was in.  As far as I can tell the computer then misread the printer status as extinct.  I unplugged the printer and re plugged several times without success, but I don't not re - start.  I gave up and just stop.  When I started the system the next day, with the connected printer, everything was fine.

Then I thought of the problem of the printer. Guess what? The same treatment worked, and I now my printer is back with me. I got the printer on another USB port. A successful day. A happy day.
