  Check whether the problem is resolved

   

  Step 2: Make sure that the printer is set as default.

  1. on the Windows taskbar, click the Start button, select Control Panel, and then click Printers. The Printers folder opens.

  2. look for a green checkmark beside your printer (Dell A960 printer). This check box indicates which product is the default printer for Windows.

  Also, make sure that the printer is not paused or offline.

  1. on the bar menu print queue, click on the printerand then locate suspend printing and printer use offline items in the menu.

  2. ensure that there is no check box next to each item. If a check mark appears next to each item, click to clear it.

  I suggest you try these steps and see if that helps.

  With the right button of the new queue in printers and faxes tool and clear the printer offline use setting. This resets the registry key to the correct value.

  Note: this section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution.

  This is usually resolved with a driver updated from the manufacturer.
  I highly recommend updating the driver to see if that takes care of the issue. If you need help, find the driver for your printer, please provide the make and model and I will do my best to find the right one for you.

  I have a HP color laserJet 2840. I get the message that my "photoconductor optics will need to be replaced soon." The message is not on my printer window, but on my printer info I pulled up on my computer.

  I have the same problem with my Color Laserjet 2500. Although the words "photoconductor optical" do not exist in the printer manual, I just found that the imaging drum is also called the photoconductor optics. I hope it's useful.

  You use a 32-bit version or 64-bit LabVIEW? If you use the 32-bit version, you should not try to load the 64-bit version of the DLL. Surprisingly, the System32 directory is for 64-bit dll, and the SysWOW64 folder is for 32-bit dll. If you have installed the 32-bit version of LabVIEW, try SysWOW64 winspool.drv.

  When you go to the properties of the printer and you see that it says 192.168.1.5 that should be checked.

  Just below there is a button to configure the port. What to choose.

  The next window should ask what the name of the printer or the IP address is that you'll want to change this to match the IP address that we assigned to the printer. 192.168.1.250

  The IP address of the printer should never change, but you can also tick the box that says print to this printer, even if IP address changes, just for a safety net.

  PROBLEM SOLVED

  Thanks for your suggestion on how to my HP printer to online status.  I'm sure it would work, but I found a solution more simple in just re-start the computer.  Initially, I plugged it to the printer at the UBS port when the computer was in.  As far as I can tell the computer then misread the printer status as extinct.  I unplugged the printer and re plugged several times without success, but I don't not re - start.  I gave up and just stop.  When I started the system the next day, with the connected printer, everything was fine.
