Having a run time is the standard way of doing things.

  Of course, you could put everything inside every executable file, and this is how it was done in the good old days of LabVIEW 4.0, where the simpler LabVIEW executable (for example to add two numbers) has several megabytes (old discussion). Now, since we have the runtime, a LabVIEW executable can be very low.

  It makes perfect sense to include all the common code in a dll that can be installed once and shared by all LabVIEW executables. Do you really think it wise that all 20 LabVIEW programs installed on a computer had their own copy of the main FFT algorithm? A shared copy is enough!  As soon as you have more than one installed LabVIEW application, the savings are huge. What happens if a bug is discovered. Would you be enough patch 20 different program or simply update the runtime?

  I had the same problem because I installed my SQL Server in a different location. You must check if the report server is working by going to http://localhost/Reportserver. Then take a look on your registry in HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\100\VerSpecificRootDir also check if a the correct path to your SQL Server. In my case I have on d:\Program Files (x 86) \Microsoft SQL Server\100\
