The value of VM to restart automatically after a power failure

Hello world

I'm under vSphere Client 4.1.0 and VMware ESXi 4.1.0. I'm having a problem to find my vSphere client where to change the VM to restart automatically after a power failure. When we have a failure someone must manually start the virtual machine. I want that it automatically starts up on its own. Where can I change this to? I looked around the client with little success...

Thank you for your time and help

Thanks for posting your question on the Forums of community of Microsoft.

I would be grateful, if you can provide us with the following information to help us better understand the question?

    1. have you made changes on the computer before this problem?

2 you receive error messages or codes to the computer restarts?

I suggest you to follow the below methods and check.

Method 1: perform the clean boot.

Place your system in the clean boot state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. Check this question in the clean boot state.

Reference: How to perform a clean boot in Windows

Note: After the boot minimum troubleshooting step, read the sections "How to reset the computer to start as usual after a clean boot troubleshooting" in the link provided to return the computer to a Normal startup mode.

If the problem persists, try Method 2.

    Method 2: System File Checker.

  • No network after a power failure and only works in safe mode with network. Operating system is Vista SP2.

The latest patch to update this system was .net framework 4

This behavior has occurred on several machines after a power failure in our factory caused all systems restart.

    I have run chkdsk

    I ran sfc

    SafeMode internet works fine.

Clean boot does not solve the problem.

Cannot remove .net framework 4 because I can't get windows installation service to work properly.

X red on the connection in normal mode

I run with the reset.cmd file subinacl to reset all the registry settings. It gave no results.

I looked at all of the services that are running successfully in normal mode and those that are run in mode safe and that services to start. This got me internet again in normal mode, but we are far from finished there are a lot of services is still needed. I'll make one by an approach to see what will begin and what doesn't.

System Restore was successful, but had no bearing on the issue. Here's the solution that worked.

    Safe Mode boot

on computers that are running Windows live onecar I ran as administrator onecare removal tool

Remove the Adobe Flash 10 utility

    Open msconfig and services.msc

enable all services that are running in safe mode to run msconfig on the next reboot. Also enable required services for Windows updates and windows install

    Enable

BITS, com +, Windows udpate, workstation and service server and all dependent services. If you miss some that is good because you and individual services and start them from services.msc when the next restart.

    Restart the machine.

I found that after this reboot a few updates have been posted in the update list installed in the control panel that had not been previously listed.

Remove all instances of Java (cannot be done in safe mode)

Reinstall Java and flash player from their respective Web sites

I installed Microsoft Security Essentials www.microsoft.com/security_essentials

Run windows update and install the updates.

run msconfig and select normal startup

    Restart and ensure normal operation.

It takes about 1/2 hour, 1 hour per machine which was much lower than a full reinstall.

I have a Dell Vostro 3500 which restarts automatically once I have stop my laptop and unplug the power cord.  I also observed that light scroll in "keyboard and device lights" stays on. The only solution I have is to force the judgment that it restarts and then remove the dough every time.

    Hi mcalix,

It is one of the locations where you will be able to disable the auto restart of the system failure. The other location is, as the computer starts, press F8. In the advanced boot menu, select the disable restart automatic option on the system failure.

I also suggest you check the exact error message you get to do this in the Event Viewer:

  • How can I keep the values previously entered on a form after submission

    Hello DW,.

I have a form and after it get presented... I have a javascript link, which goes back to the form and values remain to be submitted.  Here's the javascript link: < a href = "JavaScript:history.go(-1) (-2)" > < / a >

It works very well, but now we use the attribute 'require' and when users click on the link it clears the values.  Is there a simple way to prevent erasure of these values, without having to use the chips and cookies?

    -Alex

To have a form field to fill in with the value of a variable, we can use PHP like this:

    (input type = "text" name = "address" value ='' / >)

If the form and its treatment are part of the same script, so it's simple. So, if your form uses the POST method, and you have extracted the values like this:

    extract ($_POST);

.. then $address will be available to complete the form.

This can also be done with javascript, but I always use PHP for this.

    Hi Bjarn

Have you tried to create a new site, and see if it crashes too when opening. If it works fine, your file may be damaged .muse.  In addition, where was located, as the network drive or local file drive?

Please share your with us .muse file to study? Please send it to [email protected]. If your file is larger than 20 MB, you can use something like Adobe SendNow SendThisFile or Dropbox. Don't forget to mention the link to this forum thread in your email so that we can identify the file.
