  I already solved the problem.

  I used HP recovery to install the driver supplied with the factory setting, the original driver.

  Solution: How to fix F11 penetrates is not in the Recovery Manager process

  You will need:

  -This fix by HP: difficulty to the Multi-partition HP Recovery Manager (the ProBook 6550 b is not listed as a supported model, but it worked for me)

  -installation of Windows (see partial solution above) a job to install the fix on your ProBook

  or

  -sufficient knowledge to extract the winre.wim missing the fix above, copy it to your recovery partition and to apply any measures necessary (I did this)

  Steps to follow:

  -in your work on your ProBook Windows installation open the file downloaded "sp48415.exe".

  -the files will be extracted in "C:\swsetup\SP48415", open this folder in Explorer

  -Right click on "F11SPFix.cmd" and run as administrator

  -the patch will be applied

  Restart und press F11 at startup to enter your recovery Manager (hopefully) fixed.

  First of all, you are mistaken when you say that the PC does not start.

  This is clearly starting. The problem comes from Windows, not with the real PC. It's actually a very important distinction!

  There are methods to repair Windows, but they can be a bit tedious. By all means, follow the advice given here to do if you're so inclined.

  If you would not rather to repair Windows (and I think it's interesting a try) or your repair attempts are unsuccessful, apparently, you would need to use an external optical disc drive and follow the instructions here:

  Please follow the steps below and check it, if it helps:

  1 - click wheel settings in the upper right of the cloud creative app > Preferences > sign out

  2 force quit Adobe all activity monitor processes / end of task for Adobe on the process from the Task Manager (e.g. cc, Core sync, the broker CC library, Office, Adobe, Adobe CPI, demon Adobe Crash etc..)

  MAC: Right-click on the icon in the Finder and select the 'Go - To' folder option. You will get a text box, type in the following command and then press the 'return '. ("Not to be missed ~ symbol") ~/Library (It will open the folder of the user's library.)

  Then go to the Application Support > Adobe > OOBE folder and folder AAM Updater so trash

  WINDOWS: C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Adobe\ MAA UPDATER and OOBE times

  Compaq Presario Notebook Win7 32-bit - 4 GB DDR2, aged about 3 years?

  A customer brought this with virus / malware issues - arranged.

  On start-up, the bios made regular account that the HP OEM battery must renew. Not difficult technical question here.

  Powered on the laptop without the battery and the pc has stopped completely after a few seconds.  No beeps, no LED. Suspecting power, the original showed 19.* * volts. Ok.

  Bidirectional p - s for another check the jack plug connection. No change, tried jumping jack plug connection.

  Out two-way RAM for good, no change.
  Two-way 2032 battery of the bios for good, not change.
  Removed HARD drive, no change.

  Non-powered from DC or battery, depressed and button who was held for at least a minute, without change.

  The bios battery removed for 30 minutes, without change.

  Fan do not get stuck.

  No attached devices.

  Remarkable:

  Without battery : white DC power LED stays on for about 5 seconds. And then off.

  Old battery included: white DC power LED does not illuminate.

  I did not remove the optical drive, because I think it's ok. Works fine (or used to).

  I am familiar with this series of Presario laptops / laptops and while I have tried everything I know, I was wondering if, before I have conviction as having a short-circuit motherboard / failure, is there anything else I can try with this model of HP laptop before I am progressing with the send for repair of component.

  Figured it out. Dumped the cache on the controller and added back the lack of table, but it has not initialized. Change the boot device in the BIOS of the controller to the 'new' table; somehow the old VD1 became VD0 and re-added VD0 became VD1 and restarted. System came fine. No idea what caused it, but at least now it's back to work.

However, when you connect the AC adapter of the power port light flashes 3 times.  Please check that the power cord is not one of the recall. HP laptop AC Power Cord Safety retirement program and replacement announced August 26, 2014 .  You use a power bar?  Have you tried a different outlet? Here is a link to the HP laptops - tests and using the AC adapter which can also help.

• Downloaded trial of Illustrator, it seems to be there, but it does not start

  I downloaded a trial of Illustrator into Adobe Download Assistant.  It created a folder called Adobe Illustrator CS6, inside which is a file called Illustrator_16_LS16.dmg.  By clicking on which opens the following window:

  And a double click on the Setup icon does absolutely nothing. No error, just nothing at all.  Am I a fool?  How to start?

  I finally solved it myself.  The figure should be documented as I can't be the only person who ever has this problem.

  Essentially, a reboot solved the above problem so that I could actually run the app install, but it wasn't the end of the story.  I had problems with 'Media DB Error 18' and finally short - cut a very short story - the solution is to restart in Safe Mode (which means now the SHIFT key as soon as you hear the startup tone).  Then you can get the installation to proceed with the installation.  Restart again to return to normal mode.

  I don't know how find this problem on the internet so I wonder if anyone can help make me the right words to look for this problem.

  I have Windows Vista Ultimate x 64 and a 3000 Microsoft wireless mouse

  When I scroll with the wheel, if I go down and upward, there is a dead zone where nothing happens.  I rotate part 2 wheel lines, and on the other to scroll.

  For example if I scroll in IE, everything is fine until I have stop and reverse the first line and then nothing happens, no scrolling at all and when I'm in the second row, it starts to scroll the means that if I scroll and down just 1 line nothing happens and that means on both sides , which means only 2 lines of scrolling that does nothing.

  I checked all the configurations of driver for the mouse, and there is nothing about it.  I don't want this dead on the mouse wheel zone

  I would really appreciate links, ideas on this subject.  I don't know if it's a driver problem, a hardware problem or it's just the way the mouse works.

• Does not light but not dead no HELP

  OK, I read the forum and understand the 20 sec press/release/press reset to running.

  Mine does not start.

  I let the battery completely and six months later (patience is the virtue) I've tried ot load and repeat the reset procedure.

  Stilli does not work.

  HOWEVER: when I plug it to the PC to load, the PC recognizes the device and a 'ring' in tone.  I can unplug the unit and the PC not the tone 'ring' ' sothe PC is grateful.

  ALSO, when I do the reset 20 sec procedure, I get the tone "sound" of the PC and when I release the button and press it again, I get the 'ring in your' so the PC recognizes some sort o' on the device activity.

  Better yet, when plugged in for the first time, autoplay starts and I can say that it displays the contents of the drive.  It is empty.  I can see the SANSA in windows Explorer.  I can copy music to it.  I can play music from SANSA on the PC memory.

  When I browse the SANSA, there is no directory STRUCTURE - no = - just the root folder directory.

  But I can't help doing will make the unit come alive to play.  I tried blindly start playing by pressing select and play buttons... but no response through the atria.

  Oh, I also opened the device upwards (brave soul I'm - well, once an engineer, always and engineer!) and measure the voltage at the terminals of the battery as 3.75V.  With the camera connected to the computer, the voltage remains the same.  I tried the switch on the case open... nothing happened.

  SO: my conclusion is that the nit of base works but is not part of the man/Machine Interface (connection to vs PC standalone unit).

  Any ideas on how to get the display?

  Thanks for the idea, but I'd already left him in charge for several days.  I'll hold on to the unit for spare parts assuing that the battery is still good and I got headphones intakes stand before.  I t hink it is toast unless I heard from someone else.  As a former engineer, used to try to diagnose things, I can't think anything that we have not tried.
