ThinkPad yoga 12 - no microphone installed - windows 10

I have reset my yoga 12 to the factory settings and set to upgrade to windows 10. After starting, I removed a bunch of bloatware and I think I've removed something important, because I just noticed that in Device Manager there is no microphone. How can I get that back?

After you have uninstalled the audio drivers in Device Manager, analysis of new equipment allowing to re-install the drivers and then restart, the microphone is detected, installed and functional.

  • Yoga 2 Pro cannot install windows updates

I like everything on my pro yoga2, except, when I got it I installed a victory 8.1 update because windows told me to. everything seemed to go well.

After that, the system asked me to install another upgrade. When trying to install that she spoke not able to install and was to undo the changes. I have read a few forums awhile back and he spoke a particular update to be uninstalled before that you could go forward. I tried to do, but he wouldn't let me not uninstall the 8.1 initial I installed.

I kinda let it go because he asked me like every month or two for me close automatically and install updates. But now it forces me to install updates every couple of days and then can not update so it cancels changes and it takes like 30-45 minutes or more. In addition, I must get it able to accept updates at some point.

I think I have to erase everything and start from scratch?

What should I do? And I am sure that I did not provide enough information to get help. What other information do you need to know to help out me.

    Thank you

    Mike

I have the same laptop and errors of the window even right out of the box. I fixed it by using the "120 Hz" to day and recovery, then manual update of Windows just a few files at a time, starting with the most grand/most important first. (a 8.1 update for example) I hope this helps. I had updates from any other program until all the windows were finished, too. (hours, several reboots)

  • ThinkPad Yoga 14 (20FY) - can not auto-rotation, Missing in Action Center - WIndows 10

I just did a clean install of Windows on my Thinkpad Yoga 14 10. I tried to install all the drivers that I could. The only thing missing for the laptop, it's that I can't auto-rotation in tablet mode. Auto-rotation setting is missing from the center of the action and enter the display settings is not an option to allow auto-rotation. I also tried enabling the sensor, the sensor monitoring service and Service of sensor data with no luck. What are the conditions to get this working?

    Thank you!

I finally got it to work. After some intense searching, I found the driver that I had to install. It ends up being the Intel integrated sensor Solution. Installation of the package has work as well as the addition of a "sensors" section in device with drivers HID sensor Manager.

  • Satellite P300-1This - Microphone does not work after installing Windows 7

    Hello world.

At first, I'm sorry for my bad English, so I will say in no time.

A few days ago, I removed a few programs, and I installed the new Windows 7 operating system. Everywhere I had to download the new drivers for the camera because they do not work. After you download the drivers of the camera, the camera become operative (YES!), but later worked for me, a built-in microphone was out of use. What may be of it with the cause and this driver to download and why the microphone not working?

I can't talk with friends on Skype ;( Help me. I hope you know what I'm saying.

    Hello

Do you really install any drivers after installing Windows 7? Maybe you have forgotten something and so it doesn t work.
Micro is a part of webcam so be sure that driver webcam is properly installed and driver sound, you need to as well.

After that, check the sound settings. Make sure that the Microphone is enabled and test it again with amp active microphone.

    Hey Buddy,

Sounds like there of something wrong with your installation of Windows 7 so the microphone doesn t work anymore...

I recommend updating the driver of the webcam, because the microphone is a part of it. You can find updates driver here:

I put t know what Satellite P200 you have exactly, but if you can t find a driver Windows 7 for webcam, choose another model which is fully Windows 7 taken in charge, e.g. by Satellite P300.

  • Failed to initialize and install Windows 8.1 - Yoga 2 13

    Hello world

I got a Yoga 2 13 who has recently had problems starting where it can no longer start Windows. I used an Ubuntu Live USB to see if I could access the HARD drive but no luck there, said that there is something wrong with it. Decided to install Windows 8.1 fees but I'm having issues with the installation. I boot USB bootable with 8.1 and it stuck at a black screen with only the cursor work. I started out in the same on a Yoga Pro 2 USB port and I get directly to the Windows installation screen. What could be the problem here? I see again the HDD in the BIOS is not quite dead.

    Thank you

    Marco

Well, it seems that the hard drive has some bad sectors, so I just replaced it with an SSD. Now my next question is, the CD key that is embedded in the BIOS is for Windows 8, but which version? Family, professional? What image of Windows is good?

  • Lenovo Thinkpad S440 install Windows 7 USB

    Hello guys,.

I have a big problem. After days of disliking the preinstalled Windows 8.1Pro I wanted to install Windows 7 Professional 64 bit ISO (X 17-59885) with a stick of unetbootin.

First of all, I wiped the entire disk with 'Ubuntu Live CD' (installed on a USB key).

After that, I tried 3 different USB keys I put on the Windows 7 with Unetbootin to install on my HARD drive.

The Start Menu shows the sticks but can't open it.

I already went in BIOS (ThinkPad Setup) and tried a few changes but nothing helped.

Important: I have no external DVD drive

  • Problem installing Windows 7 on Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 13 665D817

    Hello

I have a Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 13 665D817 without an operating system and be able to install Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (msdnaa version). I actually had the Thinkpad even before and managed to install Windows 7 withouth any problems.

After starting from the USB stick during installation without hard drive is located. To this end, I insert a second usb key with drivers for AMD AHCI Controller Device Driver for Windows 7 and select the directory of win7 64 bit. A driver to install is offered, but after installing it, it seems as if nothing happened. No disk is detected, and I can't continue the installation.

    thx for the help

(by the way, the proposed here spell check does not recognize "Lenovo" - * lol *)

I saw this happen occasionally during installation via the USB port. In my experience, it is when a USB 3.0 or eSATA/USB combo port is present. It does not occur if start you it from a Windows existing, nor happens during the installation of optical media.

There is something that includes ImageX that you can use to install Windows, but that gets a little complicated.

  • Microphone no longer works after installing Windows 7 Ultimate

I recently installed Windows 7 Ultimate on my laptop Acer Aspire Timeline (exact model Acer Aspire Timeline AS4810T-8480 14 inch HD laptop screen). When you use Skype, that is the message that appears: "micro problem: there is a problem with the microphone into your computer." Try plugging a USB headset for this call. I know he's had no problem with my microphone before I installed Windows 7 and had been using Skype without problem. Can someone help me solve this problem? Thank you.

  • His Dell Inspiron 1420, microphone and camera integrated into the laptop does not work after installing Windows 7 Professional

No sound from my Dell Inspiron 1420 and the microphone and built-in laptop camera do not work after installing Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. My laptop has Windows 7 Vista 32 - bit family premium. My laptop is 64-bit capable and after going through the Upgrade Advisor, I installed Windows 7 64-bit. I can hear sounds when I use a headset plugged into the line-in Jack, but not through the speakers built into the laptop. I already tried new drivers from the Dell website, but I could not find.

Any help will be much appreciated. Thank you.

As it is has no drivers 64 bit Windows 7 on Dell Web site, your best chance is to install the 64-bit versions of Vista (if they exist) in compatibility mode, viz:

Right click on the Vista driver, then select Properties > Compatibility tab. Now choose to run the program in Vista compatibility mode and then apply > OK. Right click on the file and select run as administrator to install it.

  • Blue screen when you try to install Windows XP on Intel ThinkPad Edge 520

    Hello

I have a ThinkPad Edge 520 type 1143-B5G with a clean disk and I need to install Windows XP on it, for reasons of inheritance. I read on the pilot of the technology Intel Rapid store being necessary, but this seems not to apply to the 520, only to 220 and 420. The recommended settings are not available on the 520 (nor is the driver itself), and the driver is listed by n/a for the 520 in the list of drivers of Lenovo. But, I always get a BSOD error just as Windows is starting from the installation DVD, after the DVD instructed all pilots, he can think about.

Anyone know how to fix this?

Would BTW - be possible to install XP in a separate partition, main alongside Windows 7, on a drive that already has Windows 7 on it? Or a clean disk is needed for this?

    Kind regards

    / EvA

    Hello and welcome,

What settings are you looking for?  It seems that there is a problem with the mode of operation of HD.  The E520 BIOS has an option to change the SATA compatibility instead of AHCI mode?  You will not be able to install a version of "Vanilla" of XP without adding the correct AHCI driver or compatibility mode.

What version of BIOS do you have?  I see this rather cryptic reference in the BIOS 1.20:

"[Fixes problem] problem reading/writing data to the SATA compatibility mode."

It is possible to dual-boot XP and 7, but the best way to do is to install XP first and then let the 7 Installer put in place the configuration dual-boot.  You would still have the problem of compatibility (IDE) vs AHCI mode.

Ah, lookinng a little further, there is a driver AHCI for XP in Lenovo driver matrix.  The readme file includes instructions on installation.

  • Recently installed Windows 7 on Pavilion dv6748us - internal microphone does not work

I searched on the web, without success, to find how to solve this problem.

I recently installed Windows 7, 32 bit, on laptop HP Pavilion dv6748us to my wife. Now its internal microphone does not work.

Have got some advice "roadside" use a Windows Vista driver; Have no idea what is the driver or how to get it.

Have found information about uninstalling driver realtek audio and reinstall an earlier version; Have no idea about it no more.

Would appreciate an answer with a positive result.

    Thanks for any help.

    Hello:

Looking at your system information, you may have one of two possible audio cards:

Conexant HD audio or the RealTek HD Audio

The fact that you could not install the RealTek HD audio driver tells me that you don't have a sound card RealTek. Check your device manager and look at your sound card and check what sound card you have.

Here are the Vista 32 bit driver for the Conexant sound card:

    http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=3632100&prodNameId=3648286&swEnvOID=2093&swLang=13&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=ob-63949-1

Here are the Vista 32 bit driver for the Realtek sound card:

    http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=3632100&prodNameId=3648286&swEnvOID=2093&swLang=13&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=ob-59516-1

If you have the Realtek audio card, I would download and install the driver of more recent, HD directly from RealTek site:

Accept the agreement, download and install one on the list. Maybe it has been updated to solve the problem you are experiencing.

    Hi Syed,

Thanks for the reply with the status of the issue.

I suggest you try to install the drivers for Windows 7 in compatibility mode and check if it works for you. I saw this troubleshooting procedure described working for other members of the community.

Step 1: Download the driver for the Webcam from this link of Lenovo.

    http://support.Lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?docid=DS015018

Step 2: Installing the driver in compatibility mode.

Make the programs more compatible with this version of Windows:

Please reply with the status of the issue, so that we can confirm that the issue is resolved.
