Topology

Hi friends,

Is my Source database: Ms Access
Is my target database: Oracle.

How can I insert servers of data for the source of Ms Access? WHT are the conditions to go ahead with maps for it?
What LKM and IKM does support?

I knew, mapping between oracle and oracle.

Hello

The process is exactly the same as that of MS Excel.

ODI connection with MS Access

Thank you

  • Topology change syslog, how to disable messages?

I have a number of switches BNT/Lenovo (8124, 8052, 8264) and all are connected to our central syslog server. I have quite a few switches in the same vlan, and I get a lot of topology messages of change like this:

    2016 03-11 T 05: 39:01.143556 - 07:00 Mar 11 05:39:07 switch-1 ALERT switch OS : STG 44, changing topology detected

I don't necessarily need to see this. I would like to delete this message without Gohan other messages such as the STP root bridge changes. Is this possible? These seem to be my options from the side of the switch:

I looked in the CLI guide for "journal of logging", but all I get is the following:

    [None] Journaling log []
Displays a list of the features for which syslog messages can be generated. You
can choose to turn on or off specific features (such as VLANs, stg, or ssh).
or enable/disable syslog on all available functions.
    Control mode: global configuration

There is no detail on the option does what exactly.

I know that I probably can filter messages from syslog server-side but I would rather start the level for the switch.

    Thank you.

Today, there is no way to delete these specific messages.

They should not be too many and are often very useful to determine the cause of a failure.

In order to reduce drastically the TCN BPDU is to put all the host ports such as 'edge' or 'portfast '.

This setting prevent BPDUS and messages production when a host disconnect or connect to the switch.

Then, only the 'real' TCN is recorded and useful for diagnosis.

  • Topology line EtherCAT with fiber/fiber converters

    Hello

I have a request where I will order several NI 9144 slave chassis in a line of a master cRIO topology. The chassis must be 10kV + isolation from each other and the captain so I'll use converters of fiber on the link ethernet between each frame. The lengths of links are relatively short)<>

Fiber converters does meet a particular specification, and if so do you have any recommendations?

I'd better be using using standard Ethernet with NI 9149? I can cope without the deterministic calendar.

    Thank you

    Richard.

    Hi Richard,

The EtherCAT protocol normally works on 100BASE-TX and can also run on 100BASE-FX (Sources here and here). I'm guessing that you have seen the KB that explains that you need for different cheating / hubs for EtherCAT and makes you wonder if the optical converters fall into this same category?

The need for special switches / hubs is because EtherCAT junctions stars work differently that normal Ethernet as the packages hubs need a particular routing. However, optical converters online and do not affect the sense go packages. They are just bit conversion of the tensions light pulses. The main thing to consider would be how much latency converters to introduce network - as this will eventually affect your EtherCAT minimum cycle time.

That said, NEITHER does not test the optical converters, but I've heard customers who use optical converters before (link sorry, not turned to the audience of reference available). As I mentioned above, the EtherCAT protocol specify how 100BASE-TX and 100BASE-FX, so I'll make sure the converter is in conformity with these standards.

  • NOR-DAQmx topology

    Hello

The problem I encountered is that this topology to NI_DAQmx rocker is not saved when I export an INI file.  I want to avoid the topology of configuration manually each time I have import an INI file.  I tried to use the DAQmxSwitchSetTopologyAndReset function to set the topology, but the topology does not change despite the success function.  Given these problems, my questions are the following:

    (1) is the topology in an another config file I can access and modify?

    (2) is there a way to define the topology programmatically after you import an INI file?

    Thank you

  • Change the topology without reference to closing

    Hi all

I was wondering if I should be able to change the topology of a MUX (reset) without closing the reference?  I have an application that performs a loop on the base initialization, connect, disconnect the sequence for functions OR-Switch and the topology changes for each loop.  I think that my reference is lost, because it becomes invalid after several loops.  I have to close the reference before I reset with the new topology?  I'd rather not have to close every time, because I 'cleansing' steps that close of references outside of the loop. In collaboration with the PXI-2527, LV 2013 and 2013 TS.  Thanks in advance.

    Ali GSinMN,

This knowledge base Article should answer your question. The last line reads, "during the change of topology, you close the current session if one is open and reset the map with the selected DriverSetup new.»

  • pins connected vs topology

    Hello

    I am currently using a PXI-2529 matrix with a topology 8 x 16.

According to the scheme of connection in OR help switch (see attached photo), if I connect R7 to C15 I should have pins C16 and C6 connected to C10. Right?

But when I test the continuity between these pins, I don't that C6 and C10 connected... as if the 2 banks were not connected together as topology involves...

    Is this normal?

    Hey zyl7,

You use the connection TB-2635 block, which configures topology?  "" "If not, you will need to wire manually topology, as shown in the OR help switches" devices "NI PXI-2529/SMU" topology matrix 8 x 16 2-wire.  Of this document:
«If you do not use the NI TB-2635 terminal block, short external pins to reach a matrix topology 8 x 16 2 son.»  This sentence is a pine table, you will need to connect.  For example, B24 and B14.

  • Programmatically change the SMU-2529 with NISE topology

    Hello!

I have an SMU-2529 control by NISE to test certain products. These products require the topology of the matrix to change while I'm testing them.

Is it possible to do it by programming?

Opening/closing session NISE can be solution (although I prefer not to close), but I can't find an option string xorking to change the topology...

    Any ideas?

    Thank you!

    zyl7,

Unfortunately there is no way to change the topology on the fly with NI Switch Executive. A better method would be to have two virtual devices NISE, one for 4 x 32 2 son configuration and the other for configuration 8 x 16 2 son. You close the NISE of VirtualDevice1 session and log on to VirtualDevice2 that references the same material. Of course, you should make sure that external connections are properly connected, but that should change the topology for you.

Note: Logoff the NISE to VirtualDevice1 and opening the session NISE to VirtualDevice2 will reset the switch module and cause any previous connections open.

    I hope this helps!

  • 2 different Topologies of PXI - 2503

    Hello
I use CVI 8.1, MAX 4.5 and switch Exec 2.01, Wndows XP2 to the following situation.
I had a previous (only 2 x 24) topology for a PXI-2503 switch, with its respective test program.
For my application, the Configuration of the previous switch is called LUN, consisting of DEV1_ivi.

For my next test for a different target program of the UUT, I had changed the topology PXI - 2503 DEV1_ivi to double 2 x 12 opening switch BC02 and separating the group 0/1 group 2/3.
This new configuration, called PSTESTER, works very well.
But when I got back to the old test program that calls the original called LUN configuration, the program execution caused many errors "could not connect..." ».
Review of the DEV1_ivi, shows that the original LUN is now set for a double 2 x 12.

The question is how to configure Switch Executive to keep the configurations of respective switch for more than one test program.
I hope I included enough information.

Thank you for an excellent response. I thought that it was a "logical" explanation I went to the MAX to see if I can rename or reconfigure.
However, I can't find exactly how to set up. I'll have to find a tutor to show me, step by step the mechanix of MAX.
    Thank you

  • How to connect RTD (method 4 son) using a 4 x 16 (2-wire) or 2 x 32 (1-wire) switch topology

Is there a way to switch cables of 4 measures using the PXI-2530 with TB 2631 module, which has only 4 x 32 (1-wire) and 4 x 16 (2-wire) topology.

    Hello!

The TB-2631 attached to a PXI-2530 module will let you assume a 4 x 32 (1-wire) or 4 x 16 matrix (2-wire). Connection to a DMM with a topology 4 x 32 1-wire you would be able to connect the DMM to the 4 lines and up to 8 4-wire RTD to different columns (32/4 = 8). You should consider CT 2630 if 8 isn't enough; This terminal allows you to assume a topology 4 son 32 x 1, so you could measure up to 32 RTD of the DMM even with this card to a single switch. Let me know if what I said was not clear.

  • topology of LAN using wrt54gl

    Hello

I've got a wrt54gl I've used behind a linux like scenario 4 server in the diagram on the right under network configuration options.

I want to add another linux ubuntu server, I install on a computer laptop ibm t60 with a wifi adapter. the old server in the diagram has a static ip address and it is used alonzofretwell.com. I want to serve http://temporalmills.com of the new setup of the mobile server. I have ordered another static ip address for the server of the laptop and should have it in a day or two.

I'm not sure what my network topology should be with both servers. I can use http://temporalmills.com from the server to the laptop through the wireless adapter or should I connect it to the LAN with a wire?

Scenario 4 in the diagram has worked well for me, but I want to add the new server to get the best performance.

    Please notify.

    Alonzo

It doesn't really matter... You can keep the laptop wired or wireless.

  • VM Ware topology objects update

I have a question about changing the last property updated on an object of topology. I know how to write a groovy script to update a value on a VMW Cluster or VMW ESX Server object and submit the change via the topology service.  I asked to do this because our performance agent FMS & VMWare are not currently in.  Center virtual items have a last updated 4 days ago and other business process are check data and expected her to be with in the last 24 hours.

Are there side effects not expected to force a change to the last updated date on the VM ware objects?

Is it possible that this would stop collecting data reports before the last update? I'm afraid I'll create a set in data reported to Foglight by changing these data. Basically forcing the FMS to ignore all data prior to the new update

    Hi Ben,

I think that the main issue is your VMware agent could have stopped collecting data or is not more data collection for this object. You can try to resolve this matter before you find a workaround (update manually)?

Please communicate with our customer assistance service, create an SR and they should be able to determine why the object is not out of date.

    I hope this works

  • Types of topology in foglight

    Hi all

Can someone help me where I could see these properties in the rules. I am unable to find in what types of topology, I can find them

    Use of file system
    Waiting for IO
Use of the IOPS / s for critical disks
    Disk timeout
    Disk Service time
    The disk queue length
    Drive busy
    Paging activity

    Shiva,

A field, you can see the properties of a type of topology is in tools-> Console of Script and then select a type of topology, and then select an instance to see.  The property values for the instance will appear.

  • Adding more of one type of topology in the rules

    Hello world

Is it possible to add more than one type of topology and get properties combined on a single rule?

If so, please help me as soon as possible.

    -Shiva

I don't think it's a problem of multiple TopologyObjects in one rule. The way THIS particular gem is realized is using abstraction.

The highest level, this can be done by doing something as affecting the scope:

"TopologyObject where topologyTypeName = 'HostCPUs' or topologyTypeName = 'LogicalDisk' or......"

(add as much as you had like... but be warned: you'll have to do your own intelligence here to ensure that you do not use invalid property queries, because each of these extended types have different properties.)

    HOWEVER -

I think that the real solution to your problem, it's that you must set your scope to something that you can use to associate all together. In this case, why not just set your scope to the FSMService itself, then use logic to find the children of type 'Host' and go from there? Even more, you can define your scope on the ' home' object and try to find the host for an object of type 'FSMService' parents - which gives you your HostCPUs information, (since HostCPUs is owned by 'cpu' of the ' host' object), as well as information on the application of the FSMService.

  • Using CDP to create the network topology diagram

    Hi all

I'm a beginning network specialist and just thought I would throw this question and see if I can get some answers.  Well, I want to know how I can use CDP to find out our network topology so I can create diagrams and Visio diagrams, or if you know any free network discovery programs out there that can help?  Hey well any comments will be appreciated so thanks in advance and I look forward to hear something!

When you run 'sh cdp neighbors' it shows you all the devices connected directly. If you then "sh cdp neighbor detail" for each entry it will show the IP address of the connected device. You can then connect to this and do the same thing all the way throiugh your network.

I think that the COP may be useful for this, but you're relying on the CDP running on all devices. Sometimes it has been disabled for security reasons one must always be aware that there may be devices that do not display.

As mentioned SNMP is another alternative, but still once, this assumes that SNMP has been put in place the device esch.

So just be aware that you can not always get the full picture, but a combination of--

    (1) CDP

    (2) SNMP

    (3) running the determination of route router hops show but not L2 switch.

You should get most of the information. Also, be aware that the internal firewall tend to dirty such things as well.

  • N5K - N2K design: straight through the Active topology vs mobile comparison

    Hello

Can anyone provide a comparison on straight through the topology N2K N5K Active mobile vs . In addition need to answer on below

-Can we send active active traffic using straight through the topology with using VPC at end of server.

    Thanks in advance.

    Kind regards

    Farhad

    Hi Farhad,

Please see below links where you can find more information on the topologies of vPC straight through, active and improved.

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/switches/Datacenter/nexus5000/SW/mkt_ops...

I don't think that you would be able to send the active traffic just by using straight through topology. You can use VPC and bind the 2 straight through aircraft spread over 2 switches sheets for active traffic however.

Please find the link as well, where are the topologies supported between Nexus devices and fex below.

    http://www.Cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/switches/nexus-2000-series-FAB...

    Kind regards
