Toshiba NB550D no noise from subwoofer

There was no game sound of the subwoofer to my nb550d (the speaker below) although I turned the volume up.
Any people has this problem and how you can solve this problem?

TKS

Hi mate

What subwoofer do you mean?
The NB550 does not support the subwoofers

Some models are equipped with a loudspeaker that is placed at the bottom of the device, but this isn't a subwoofer this speaker makes sounds generated by the software and audio alarms this condition low battery, generated by the system

So normally you should hear just short beep from the speaker.

c.p. my ram is 2 MB

    Hello Cezar

You should clarify directly with your local dealer or the Toshiba service. I have too many Satellite A200 and my laptop is quiet enough and described it is not normal for me.

Sorry, but to say with certainty if there is something strange or not I should have the laptop in front of me. Second issue with the battery is as strange and it is certainly the second reason to contact ASP.

    Hello

Try, press and hold the button On / Off a few seconds.
Also check if the opening of the camcorder is open

But it looks a bit like a hardware problem.

I think its coming from my HARD drive... is - it normal in this model?

    Thanks in advance!

HARD drive creates some noise as a cooling fan is making noise
Therefore it of difficult to say what part product that said noise

    Ask yourself if its normal?
Well well, my computer s portable HARD drive creates noise from time to time in particular, then it seems that the disk head moves

  • Equium A100-147 - clicking noise from the HARD drive

For awhile, I had clicking noise from the HARD drive and when the laptop could not, I assumed the reader was packed but trying a replacement nothing happens. I get a blue light for battery and a blue light (low) for the supply of direct current, but nothing for power or disc. However, when I plugged in an external drive yesterday it starts fine and when I unplugged the laptop continued to work the internal drive. But even once this morning he died and will not start. I read that the BIOS can stop recognizing the drive or maybe that the settings are not being saved when it is off. Could it be the motherboard battery?

    > reading the BIOS can stop recognizing the drive or maybe that the settings are not being saved when it is off

Enter the Bios (press f2 at startup) and check if it recognizes the hard disk. You can see on the home page or the boot option in the Bios.

  • Ubuntu 10.04 Toshiba NB550D Bluetooth and the microphone does not

I use Ubuntu 10.04 on Toshiba NB550D. I like it. I've updated to 4 GB of RAM so... 1 GB seemed crazy to me... and I am a user of power... but not a gamer. The laptop has replaced my work computer. I have plug into my 24 "LCD at work and get beautiful HD resolutions.

My only frustration at this stage is that the microphone and bluetooth both do not seem to work. Until someone told me that Toshiba does not support linux on this hardware... I know. However, someone at - it this work themselves? I'd love to hear about your experience.

    Fenton

    Hi Fenton

With regard to the Bluetooth - I think the NB550D uses a list drop-down-card Atheros WLAN and Bluetooth. Am I wrong?
If so, there seems to be general problem getting the BT works correctly, wireless works well however.
I filed a bug on Fedora Bugzilla regarding this problem on a R830 - uses the same module I think.
    Link: [https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=734369]

Concerning firstly the mic - basics:

-did you check the audio input settings and increase the logging level?
-have you tried an external mic? You can for testing purposes use a headset / headphones as a microphone as they work exactly the same. You may have to shout to get any input however :)

If the external mic works you can try to start the machine on 11.04 or maybe even a pre-release version of 11.10.
This is to see if the MIC - the problem is resolved.
If so, I think that a few searches on Google will provide you with a solution!

In any case, let us know your findings, so we can help you.

    See you soon

  • NEITHER 9205 always returns the noise from rail to rail.

    Hi all

I'm completely stumped on this one. I went through the procedure of implementation of the NI 9205 module in my project. Setting the channel to the appropriate type. Placed the node IO in my FPGA code, read and all I get is noise from rail to rail, that is, whatever the measurement range is, I'm getting noise across the range. I ran it as a measure of CSR, as a measure differential, differential with COM updated wrt my diet, differential with COM Earth and the mass of the chassis connected to my powersupply ground.

Rail to rail noise ringing bells for anyone?

I checked with an oscilloscope that the appropriate signal is seen on the pins in all the configurations above. I even unplugged and plugged a 3 v battery through the pines and still noise from rail to rail get.

    Help!

HM, I used the 9205 before, but didn't have never seen something like this. I am more fan of data buffering in a FIFO, rather than reading a control value, but still, you shouldn't see this kind of securities for a reason that I don't see. I had problems with the modules where something is messed up and randomly, the signal will drop out then go back (in fact, I am about to send an or because it is still under warranty, but it's in a portable box, so I think that he may have had problems with shock or something of the sort). I wish I had a good answer for you, but you seem you know what you're doing, so it could be one of those cases where there is a hardware problem.  You have any other module HAVE you can share and see if those working in this niche? You can try it in a different location to maybe see there is a connection from bad backplane? You can also check if your local rep OR has a loan that they can indulge for a day, just to see if another 9205 works. Usually, these are the steps I take when I think that there may be a hardware problem. Unfortunately, except that I don't have a lot of input for you.

  • Weird noise from VN7 - 792G

I bought the machine in June and he was silent, but now, we have heard a very low volume hum / buzz (a bit like a mosquito passng by your ear, except 3 octaves lower) more frequently. He comes from the right - about in the vicinity of the Enter key and performed intermittently for about maybe 2 or 4 seconds that the machine is actively processing data or update Web pages. It is not correlated with the fan turning power. Any ideas?

You have to disassemble the laptop to the point where you have the motherboard out. Remove the thermal unit from the motherboard and replace the thermal paste before reassembly with new thermal unit. It is useful for a little bit of noise from the fan?

Here is an example of the heat unit,

  • Whenever I have insert a device into the port I heard an unusual noise from my laptop

    Original title: usb device

Any time I incert a device in the port, I heard an unusual noise from my laptop.

    Hello

It could be Connect Device noise - double click on the little speaker near the clock below
right and MUTE (speaker under the cursor symbol).

If that stops the sound and you want to permanently stop without using the MUTE - right
Click on the small speaker - sounds - search device connection and set it to NONE.

If inhibition does not stop the noise could be disturbing, and I would have the computer controlled
by a real computer store (not the leeks and the glances at a Best Buy or other stores) or the
    Support of the machine system.

    I hope this helps.

  • Reduce the noise from the projector

I'm new to first items 10 and plan on some of my first projects making the transfer of some sound Super 8 films on DVD and the web. I have the film loaded into Premiere Elements but I notice that some have noise from the projector in the background. I have them done with microphone of the camera, pick up the sound from the speaker projector since I have no way to save only the sound alone.

I did have a lot of luck with the help of audio effects to reduce noise. So I was wondering if anyone knows what I have to use filters. I want to reduce or eliminate (no chance of this, I know) the projector noise so that the voice can be heard better. Thanks to all who have advice!

I have books of Steve Grisetti ordered but I would like to do something on this project in the meantime. I do not understand how the audio effects change the audio, but I hope the books will give me a full understanding of them.

The removal of the 'noise' of an Audio file is usually difficult, hard work and often not that good. Yet, this ARTICLE goes into detail. Unfortunately, with noise audio, there is no "miracle cure".

In my case, my projector Eumig Dual-8 has a one line (DIN plug) and I just feed on my recorder or camera and in the latter case, select Line In, only to turn off the microphone.

    Good luck

  • no noise from the satellite toshiba A505 S6005 speakers

I have no sound from the speakers on my laptop. It's a toshiba satellite A505 S6005. I watched netflix and my screen turns off but the sound was still playing and after I plugged it in the computer had closed due to lack of autonomy. so after that I turned it back on I tried to watch the movie again, but I got no sound. Ive already covered the sound setting and theyre all very well. any yellow or red exclamation point and the volume is 100% disabled. Thanks for posting if one knows how to fix this problem

I would try to download the audio driver from Toshiba and reinstall.

    Good luck.

  • No noise from the multimedia keys on Satellite A500

Hello I have same problem as in the topic here:

    https://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=64595&TSTART=150

I do the same thing as the egold70 user (re install VAP and SCCF) and the problem is partly in trouble.

Now all the extra button (eco, light on/off) works fine, but there is no sound on the buttons.
When I reboot laptop there is a sound at first: they blink and do a "beeep" but after I play music or anything like that that make the 'sounds' (like the sound of incoming mail or something) the buttons become silent, they only Flash.

I reinstall the sound drivers that did not help, funny because when the miusic plays constantly they make a noise when I turn off miusic after a few seconds, they became silent. When I do Fn + ESC (mute on / off), there is a sound like at the start, but as I say, until some other 'noise' is played and they become silent. It's boring to FN + ESC again and again.

    Anyone can help with this?

  • Problem of recovery of TOSHIBA NB550D-111 due to the error of the stormwater management

I own a NB550D-111 (pre-installed W7 Starter 32-bit SP1, av Security Essentials), used mainly for navigation, chat and Skype. After the updates of July, BONE began to greeting me with blue screen every startup. I chose "Startup Repair", and after twenty minutes and a reboot, the operating system was running. On the next reboot, the same scenario. Whenever I ran "Startup Repair", sometimes 3 or 4 times to get the system working.
I did a system restore, but no luck. Still the same blue screen at startup. I ran past check disk at startup of the prompt and/f/r, no error found. After four days, the startup repair couldn't solve the blue screen, although I spent almost 4 hours of restarting and either Startup Repair choose or do the system restore.
I went to Restore Factory Settings OS since the recovery partition. I wanted to keep the My Documents folder, I changed the location of the second partition). ImageX gave an error to 70% in application of the image (a .ttc file that cannot be copied), and after that restart BOOTMGR is missing. I used the recovery usb key made shortly after I bought the netbook via Toshiba Recovery Media Creator, wich wiped clean the HARD disk (possibly lost my files, she), re-partitioned and copied the .swm files into the folder HDDRecovery. When you apply the C: partition image, Imagex also gave an error at 70%, the same ttc file.
I installed a clean copy of starter, installed SP1 and updates and activated online using the serial number of the COA sticker. Initially, the newly installed operating system was incredibly fast (I only have drivers and card Flash not installed, no other application from Toshiba), but after SP1 update start time three times. My previous experiences with Windows XP, an integrated installation of Windows SP behaves better than an update with windows update. I think of a way to reinstall the Toshiba Windows, still full of bloatware as it is, then stop the programs that I don't use services.msc and msconfig hollow (just like I did when I bought the netbook).
