  So guys after a thorough research and troubleshooting, I found that you must keep the opinion of a few things at installation time:

  Installation mode: UEFI (only) - LEGACY would create problems touchpad.

  After the installation of windows just follow the hierarchy of driver installation

  1 Intel NB_Chipset_M Baytrail-M

  2 Intel i/o driver

  then the rest of the shit.

  Note: after doing all this make sure your touchpad is active > Fn + F7

  Just wanted to if this solution came from an Executive of acer, the world would have been a better place , but in any case this is what the community is for.

  I'll try to help you with your mouse problem. To resolve this issue, try the following steps:

  1. go in Manager devices, then mouse and other pointing devices.

  2. right click on the mouse driver and select "Uninstall".

  3. restart the computer. This will force the computer to install a driver based on the detected hardware.

  It seems that you can not use the keyboard of your mobile PC after you have clicked on an option when using Chrome.

  I ran the windows 7 updates from last night on my laptop HP G62-373DX.  When I started my computer touchpad not working.  I went into Device Manager & it is said that the touch pad is damaged or missing.  In addition my Kaspersky anti-virus is also disabled now.  I tried to reset the device and also made a system restore back to before I was running updates.  Neither work.

  Any suggestions?

  After talking with support for some time, they suggested I run a recovery, but I could not do this without a mouse (tab would not work to get me through the options).  I don't have a mouse so I thought I'd like to borrow a & then get back in touch with technical support.  In the meantime, I decided to try & get my anti-virus online.  Not sure if this is what fixed it or what, but after I downloaded the update for my anti-virus my touchpad started working again.  Perhaps, that was blocking the installation of the new driver?  Who knows, it works fine now so fingers crossed I don't have any problems more.

  I have a NB200-10Z. With Windows XP, service pack 3. When I boot in safe mode, I have no cursor touchpad is not responding. So I can't select my name of user to proceed. If I plug in an external mouse via the USB, I have the same problem. So, it seems that a driver does not load. I would have thought that at least load the Mouse/touchpad driver.

  I had this problem since I bought this netbook in July, and even if a reconfigured support agent the netbook since then, the problem is still there. I forgot to address this issue with them in time (another major challenge took alll my attention) unfortunately.

  Why is it so important that the mouse works in safe mode or to let s say why you start in safe mode?

  In my opinion, this must be a software problem. I put t know how this technician reimagee your laptop, but you can do it yourself using Toshiba recovery disc. After that, you get back factory settings and then everything should work properly! :)

  I had a similar problem in my case it was related to dirty sensor.
  I could clean it with a jet of compressed air perhaps it was little dust between the volume wheel and the sensor that knows to clean it worked.
