Touchsmart computer connection to another monitor

Hi, I looked at the forum in other places and I've seen an adapter that can work with other my monitor, but I'm not too sure. The HP USB graphic adapter connects to a DVI / VGA? And if it is could I then connect my other monitors VGA cable, (the only entrance/exit) with pins on the connector DVI / VGA?

Please help me if you can. Thank you

This is the profile for the HP USB graphic adapter (model # NL571AA). According to the specifications, the adapter kit consists of HP USB graphics card, a USB cable and a DVI - I to VGA. Plug the USB cable into the computer and the USB graphic card. If you are using a cable and a VGA monitor, plug the DVI - I to VGA in the USB graphics adapter. Then plug your time your monitor VGA audio and USB DVI - I to VGA graphics card installed.

You can do the same thing with any other adapter USB / VGA on the market, including EVGA more + UV19 or the EVGA more + UV39

  • Computer connection on another printer on cisco valet router

I have a router (R1) provided by Verizon that connects me to the internet. Also connected to this router (R1) is a computer (PC1) and also my Cisco Valet (R2), which gives me connections wireless. Connected to the M20 Highway Cisco is a wireless (PC2) laptop and a printer wireless HP (PR1). Even if the Cisco M20 (R2) is connected to the internal network from Verizon (R1), PC (PC2) and printer (PR1) are on the internal network of Cisco (R2). I want (PC1) to be able to view and print to printer (PR1), but (PC1) on the router (R1) does not see printer (PR1). Laptop computer (PC2) also on Cisco (R2) can see and print it on the printer (PR1) very well, so wireless is not the issue. The issue is that PC1 must pass through and see PR1.

    PC1 <-->R1 R2 <--> <-->PR1

If anyone can help with the configuration of the router. Thank you.

What is the IP address of the main router and router M20?

Ensure that both routers are in the same IP range.

R1 is connected to the internet port M20?

You connect 2 routers to each other. Use M20 as a wireless access point.

Consider that the IP address of the main router is 192.168.1.1.

Then change the local IP address of the M20 to 192.168.1.2. Disable the DHCP server on the M20.

Connect the cable to the R1 to the port Ethernet 1 M20. In this way all devices will be in the same IP range.

  • another monitor

This is a picture where my current monitor is connected to my computer:

    http://i49.Tinypic.com/2a98fht.jpg

I guess the extra space near the monitor cord is where you would plug in another monitor/TV or all that but I don't know much about computers so I could be wrong. I want to connect to another monitor I have, but the cord does not fit into this place. It looks like this: (I'm not positive of what these cords are called so to avoid confusion, here's the photo of him also)

    http://i45.Tinypic.com/2v3sodk.jpg

Now anyway for me to be able to connect this monitor to this computer with an extra cable or something or is it more complicated?

    Thanks for any help.

Is that everything will depend on the size of the male HDMI connector.  In saying that, that is why I suggested going with the HDMI cable and adapter on the monitor.

Or buy the DVI cable for monitor and HDMI to PC.

I'm not sure why your current HDMI cable is so wide at the level of the connector.  It is not your typical HDMI cable which shows another thought.  Maybe another cable might give you more room. Just buy 2 cables (DVI, HDMI)).  I think that both normal HDMI connectors would be inserted in your video-by-side card.  You can test this thought out by getting a normal HDMI (borrow) cable and use both ends of the cable to see if it will work.

  • How to use wifi when connected to another computer?

I am currently in a situation where I need screen sharing another mac via ethernet with my thunderbolt, while the Wifi adapter. I have a 2014 the computer I want to see is a new Mac Mini and Macbook Pro screen. When we are connected by ethernet, none of my wifi signal works, even if I am logged in. My computer is looking for internet connection coming from the mac mini, but that is not connected to the internet. As soon as I unplug my shot of lightning/Ethernet, then my wifi starts immediately to the top. In any case to be connected to my wifi, as well as the other computer by ethernet at the same time? Thank you

    Steve

    Your description is disconcerting.

Do not run cables on the carpet between the computers. Connect all devices to your router or switches that connect to your router, or via Wi - Fi to your router.

You have a SINGLE network. Some devices can be connected by Ethernet and others by Wi - Fi, but it's the same network.  There is no need to have all devices to use the same media. Ethernet is the fastest connection you can do, so if you have an Ethernet connection, Wi - Fi can be "".

As long as each device can get on the Internet at the same time without rewiring, you can also do a computer connection to computer whenever you want.

How can I connect another monitor to compaq SG3 series because there is only 1 VGA port at the back and there is no HDMI port.  The operating system is Windows 7. I think to buy vga splitter, I don't know if that will allow me to move images/data between the monitors. Please tell us what to do. Thank you

    It is based on the expected results.  A VGA splitter will give you two monitors but they will display the same image.  If the expected result is two different pictures, maybe something like this will do;

  • get internet connection through another computer...

    Hello

I would go straight to the point :)

I have a desktop running windows vista. I have a normal internet connection through a router that connects to the internet on this desktop computer.

now, I also have a laptop with windows xp and here is what I do. my laptop's wireless was always bothers me, sometimes it connects, sometimes it doesn't work out... so I saw that there is an Ethernet card installed in the laptop with an Ethernet port.

    My question is this:

I have a lot of Ethernet cables at home and I was wondering if there is a way to get internet to my laptop via the Ethernet port on my desktop, but without needing the desktop computer to be running, cause I only use my laptop these days and my router is too far to connect from my room. I hope you understand my problem. In theory, I think it's possible to do, but I'm not sure how, so please help me on this one. my laptop also has firewire, but I prefer ethernet for some reason any.

    Thank you

    Hello

Sorry, but you cannot get a connection via another computer if the computer is off.

I'm not sure that I understand completely the topology.  However, if the office is connected by cable to a router for Internet connection, you can solve the problem by buying a simple network switch.

You take the cable from the desktop and connect to the switch. Then you plug the desktop and laptop computer at the switch.

That this switch network does, it divides a cable to feed many computers.

Example of a switch that can be connected with a cable to a router and feed 5 computers.

  • Envy touchsmart 15t j100 - unable to connect to second monitor

Hi, my problem is that, for some reason, my desire to hp cannot detect the external monitor. I tried to re - install the graphics drivers (hd 4600 / Geforce 740 m) and I tried to read and search sulutions in line but nothing helepd.

It used to work and suddenly collapsed. any help? My only assumption is that the HDMI itself does not work.

    Thank you, Ron.

    Thank you for your answer!

So finally, problem solved!  I found that when I disable the HD 4600 driver and only allow it, for some reason, that it works and my computer detects the second monitor, if I restart my computer or unplug the HDMI cable I have to toggle thing again... but at least it works!

    * Hi-speed III Port Replicator is not an option, because it is not available in my country (Croatia).

    Hello

I don t think you will be able to connect two external monitors to this laptop using HDMI and RGB port at the same time because of different types of signals.

The RGB/VGA port supports analog signal.

The HDMI port provides the digital video output and when the external monitor is connected to the HDMI port the device is set to HDMI.

    > * Hi-speed III port replicator is not an option because it is not available in my country (Croatia).

  • Satellite L850-1v0 - alert "Cable not connected" when external monitor OFF

    Hi all

    I have a portable Satellite L850-1v0.
My monitor is an A.c.e.r X233H
    Windows 8

I have the setting 'Disable the display' 5 minutes.

However, when the laptop off the screen I get a small box that bounces around the screen stating "Cable not connected". The monitor is connected via the VGA port.

If I connect the monitor to my other machine it turns off fine and do not show this message.

How can I get the laptop to turn off the display correctly?

    Thanks in advance
    Richard

    > when the laptop off the screen I have a small box which bounces around the screen stating "Cable not connected". The monitor is connected via the VGA port.

The message appears because the signal to the external display was interrupted because of the setting: turn the display off.

    > If connect the monitor to my other machine it turns off fine and does not show this message.
I think that the other computer/laptop supports another graphics card and so this message does not appear.

  • HP dx9000 touchsmart business as a second monitor

My question is, could serve AS the HP dx9000 touchsmart business / BE the second monitor to another PC Windows 7? I know that the HP dx9000 touchsmart business can HAVE a second monitor. My thought is NO, but need to confirm.

    Hello @hc0106,

Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the Forums of HP, I would like to draw your attention to the Guide of the Forums HP first time here? Learn how to publish and more.

I understand that you try to use the Professional PC HP dx9000 TouchSmart as a second monitor and wondering how. I know that on a product s Comsumer Touchsmart you this is impossible as long as only the HDMI (entry Gaming) goes directly to the monitor (although it still has to be set in the computer) and so it is not possible without tearing the computer to do what you are trying to do what the computer built in monitor not a monitor with a computer attached.

This may be different for a commercial product, I'm not sure. To know for sure I would post in the trade forums, since it is a commercial product. You can do in the company business HP - computers desktop and workstations.

I hope this helps. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!
