  I am optimize my home network to get better WIFI speed because I am trying to use my Z3 with my PS4 and saw that most portable devices stuck to 65MBPS. I tried this:

  Yes, in this case I would get also an access point in the place or a router that can be set to act as an access point and connect it with a cable to the router existing (I use this Setup myself at home). But if both are placed near eachother it may be wise to turn off the WiFi on the router or use for only 2.4 and 5 GHz only.

• 320N crashes when you try to transfer data via wifi

  I have the 320N and I am very frusterated.  I would just take it, but I bought it new on Amazon.com, which means I have to pay shipping because I threw away the box and the return shipping of RMA form!  I don't even know if Amazon bring it back without this paperwork, but still the question...

  I have not yet all maps N, but I upgraded to this router because my home internet service is faster than what my old WRT - 54 g could deliver.  This new router performs routing and I can now achieve the nominal speed from my ISP (50 / 10 Mbit/s).

  It doesn't even have to be a large file via wifi to transfer.  Earlier as I type this post that I noticed the constant ping my other monitor started timing.  I have pedaled power the router in time for me to run for this position.  In fact I had to do it three times in the time it took me to write this post.  It's the most frustrating experience I had with a wifi router/ap, and I play with Cisco equipment at work running IOS real.

  Here's what I've tried so far.

  Reset the default settings by pressing the rear reset for more than 30 seconds button.

  I can confirm this resets the default values as password and all the other settings are default return.

  I tried WPA2 Personal.  I tried WPA.  Router blocks always.

  I tried with all the default settings.  Router blocks always.

  I have reset the router repeatedly.  Always freezes.

  Power cycle it for more than a minute.  Always freezes.

  It with the latest Linksys firmware reflash.  Always freezes.

  What should I do next?  I have a feeling that it is the same problem as in a lot of the advice of HP printer firmware.  This problem is bad solder on BGA CPU connection.  The difficulty that you put the formatter Board in an oven at 400 degrees for 5 to 8 minutes.  After this time let you cool at room temperature.  The oven heats the bad welds enough so that it assigns and gets a better connection.  There are hundreds of messages of success on that.  I also hear that the solder connection problem exists for many of the older game consoles review Xbox 360 causing the infamous "Red Ring of Death".

  So should I try to fight with Amazon for it back and eat the shipping costs?

  Well, since it's only a week, Amazon sent me a new.  I just ship this one back in the box they send.  As long as they get it in 30 days I will not be charged.

  This one is def. a dud.  Hope that the next one works much better.  The first thing I do with there is a 1 GB transfer file and see if it freezes.

• WiFi speed on mac mini is wildly inconsistent

  I have Uverse internet.  The modem is also a wifi router.  I also have a range extender made by amplified wireless.  I use it for awhile.  This weekend the most bizarre behavior began.  WiFi directly to the router is, not always but a significant percentage of the time, crazy slow.  Less than 1 MB. And connectivity watch bars full.   Here's the weird part: with other devices, the speed is very good.  Well more than 15 MB.  And the strangest of all?  If I'm on the Extender, the speed is better.  Not full bore (which is normal), but a lot better.  Say of the order of 7 to 10 MB.

  I restarted the modem, but as I say, it's well on other devices.  I ran Diagnostics on the Mac Mini and he told me that everything was fine.

  I'm baffled by this one.

• WiFi speed degrades over time

  This is driving me crazy!

  So, I have a reliable internet connection.  I start the speed test and get ~ 85 Mbps down.  Then slowly, it's even worse, down for like .05mpbs.  Until I turn the wifi on my computer, then it is fast again.  It can be as fast as 10 minutes - 2 hours.

  #1 idea:

  Something is sucking my internet connection.

  I used every tool under the Sun, with more success with Little Snitch.  Nothing uses my connection when it is slow.  The fan is off.  Computer does nothing.

  Something on my network is using my connection.

  Speedtest.NET my girlfriend is fast.  My iPhone is fast.  Just my computer is slow.

  I blame this on my router for centuries, but it does not explain why my girlfriend is fast.  So I bought a new router (nine Airport extreme), nothing works.

  Yet once, turn/turn on wifi it solves every time.  Right of return up to 85mpbs

  I have tried everything I can find online, and I'm about to pull the hair last out of my head.

  I got this laptop last month but I'm really disappointed because it was a bloody slow wifi connection.

  I've already updated my wireless drivers, but nothing happens. The funny thing is I have an another old laptop, but it has a speed great wifi.

  I already try to do a speedtest of them both in the same place at the same time but my acer got 10-15mbps but my toshiba receives only 1-2 Mbps and it is very frustrating.

  I have a 200 Mbps TWC service. I use TWC provided modem Arris 1070a (NAT = bridge) and have an Airport Express connected via Ethernet to my wireless router.

  When I connect my macbook pro directly to the modem arris via ethernet, I get over 200 Mbps download speed. However, when I use my wifi 5 GHz of my Airport express network, I'm only syncing on 30mbps.

  I understand that the Express has a 10/100 Ethernet port, but I should at least get 80 or 90 Mbps on wifi.

  Any ideas that I can do to get a speed more fast wifi other than trying to the extreme?

  What is the speed of the wireless link? Option, click the wifi icon in the top menu. This will give you lots of useful information...

  You must be related to the 300mbps... If this isn't the case, it will go just not fast.

• Iconia W510 WiFi speed

  My wifi connection speed is 54 Mbit/s and there is no way that I can improve it. I have a router Cisco E4200 and my other devices reached speeds up to 150-300 Mbps. The Broadcom in the W510 is a device of nbgi so IMHO it should be able to be faster than 54 Mbps. Does anyone have any suggestions? This could be a driver problem?

  It s a question strange, but everything first, you can check the power settings in the properties of the wireless card. Please, go to the Device Manager and right click-> properties-wireless network card.
  There you should find a tab advanced. All parameters must be defined on the default usage and high value.

  Ben am Verzweifeln. Mein neues Acer switch 12 (finde ich es richtig toll before) hat einfach einen slow W-Lan-speed. Der receipt scheint gut. Es ist nur halb so schnell wie mein Notebook in gleicher distance.

  auf Amazon hab ich communications, dass auch einer uber das klagte problem. Macht keinen Spass mit so slow W - Lan.

  Offers works das W - Lan EIB use/ist einer Bluetooth-Maus a break. DAS liegt am same problem frequency clarinet.

  Das mit der Bildschrimhelligkeit hab ich nun selbst herausgefunden bzw. in Foren found. DAS Acer Programm PowerManagement everyone die Einstellungen im Intel-HD-Grafik-Menu immer wieder back. ES muss deinstalliert werden, dann die Einstellungen fur den Bildschrim tumors stay.
