Transport HP 5520 jam

My 5520 returns constantly with a carriage jam error each time it starts and I'm trying to use it. I ran across the stages of http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03241387 , but the error persists.

When I turn on the printer there is a grinding noise. My theory is that the two positions (which I do not know what they are for) are stopped at the cartridge to move to the left. The ink cartridge is almost entirely under the top cover although I can see some of the first ink cartridge.

I work in it and have ran across a few suggestions, including the guide above. I have reset the printer, but still the cartridges may not move to the left. I am hated to force the cartridges to the left, unless otherwise stated by an employee of HP.

I felt for a few months and used on three occasions

A new printer is necessary which is a waste of time, especially since I need to print some stuff now. HP would give me a 'refurbished' printer which I wasn't satisfied. DABS.com resumed and send me a new printer.

  • C4385 all in a carriage Jam, with paper

I have a HP C4385 all in one and it is a transport and Paper Jam message display, or none at all.  Any time I try to print something, I receive one of the above messages.  I tried to clean the rollers who drop out paper (via the instructions in a video of HP).  I tried the cartridges slide on the bar lubrication cartridge (as suggested on a forum).  I tried a hard reset and other options reset as suggested by HP.  I don't remember everything I've tried, but nothing I found online has helped.  There are several similar positions, but none of them have solved this problem for me.  I just spent over $ 30 on the new ink cartridges HP, when apparently I didn't need, because it does not solve my problem either.  I am ready to throw my printer out the window and wish I could get my money for printer cartridges that I just bought.  I hope that you have a real solution for me, and if not, how can I get this thing repaired?  Can I just bring it to Best Buy, Staples, or Office Max or something?

Just to make sure that no one bothers to answer this question, I bought a new printer.  Thanks for all the help, everyone.

  • 5180 printing black ink problems

I have a c5180 printer.  I had a paper jam the other day, and after I got the paper on the printer started printing very light black ink and fuzzy when I printed anything. I aligned it, cleaned the print heads, installed a new HP ink cartridge and it still occurs. Help please!

    Hi mchouser,

Looks like you've done everything correctly according to these two guides of troubleshooting here and here.  Then I start to wonder if there is always a place rather throw out of the paths of documents on the printer paper.

Take a look at documents of transport and paper jam below, maybe you'll be able to look inside the printer and find what is the inclination of the paper like this...

"Transport jam: open door, clear jam of transport and then press OK to continue ' Error Message is displayed on the control panel"

"Remove paper jam, then press OK" Error Message is displayed on the control panel

I have exausted HP on line video problems on 'How to fix a paper jam' and 'how to replace the ink cartridges.

I have replace BOTH ink cartridges. And always the lights go out.

I did how to clear procedures for the printer, but the printer will not print a test page.

The printer soundes stronger than in the past and sometimes the transport comes into contact with a little leaver as he tries to come back in the right position. But the printer will move left and right at hand.

This printer has had very little use ove in recent years.

It is time to replace? Or is there a procedure for Service that can be performed?

  • 5520 all in the transport of a printer jam

I unplugged, turned off moved round-trip transportation, and again, it will not be printed. Before it stopped working it's some unpleasant noise like a machine gun. I guess that is not a good thing? Please help or is this another throw away?

    Welcome to the forums cp64

I saw your post on your Photosmart 5520 is more printing and already make loud noises. There could be some paper stuck in the printer itself. I would say by following the guide below. Make sure that pay you special attention to cleaning the rollers as well. Sometimes a good cleaning can solve the problem!

A "Paper jam" Message appears on the control panel

If troubleshooting doesn't help not solve your problem, then I would say call the HP Technical Support to see all the other possibilities for you. If you call in North America, the number is 1-800-474-6836 and for all other regions: click here.

  • Photosmart 5520. Jam of transport

I just bought this printer this week because by old man is dead.  It worked fine in the configuration process.  This morning, I got the airprint feature works and printed a photo from my iphone.  When the draw was made the printer makes a ratcheting noise effect and then I got an error message "jam of transport."  I turned off the printer and follow the instructions in the transport jam release.  When I turned on the printer back, first of all, I got a message indicating 'Abnormal termination' when off, he returned to «Transport jam»  I tried everything listed on this site.  I unplugged the printer, I plugged it in the wall, I removed the ink cartridges and reinstalled them.  The only thing I have not tried putting in new ink cartridges so there is always Setup cartridges in the printer.  At this point, I'm frustrated and want to through it out the window.

This is the document that was used to fix the carriage jam? If you followed the document until the end of the procedure;  I would call into HP total care. If you are still in warranty, HP can replace the printer without cost to you. I'll link the information to get in touch with them below. The link takes you to a form to fill out. Once you fill it and she is treated, it will give you the printers warranty information, a file number and the phone number to call.

Or, if all the steps have been completed, we could get a replacement from the store according to the third party provider return policies. I hope this helps.

  • "ink cartridges appear 2 b ordamaged missing" shows after clearing jam transport impression. Not fixed type

I have a Photosmart 5520 and use real, new HP cartridges only.

While trying to print, I received an error message indicating that the printer carriage has been blocked.  I opened it and could not move the carriage.  I removed a paper jam and a screw loosened, sitting on the floor of the printer... I turned off, unplugged and on replugged, etc..  At one point, I was able to move the cart.  I thought I had fixed and was ready, but we all know that it is usually not that simple.  Once I could move, I got the error as above indicating a problem with the ink cartridges.  Well, they certainly were not lacking, nor were low.  I took each and replaced, but that did nothing.  Then I took each one and cleaned the contacts of the cartridge so the printer.  I did a Visual check to see if one of them seemed to be damaged or if any debris was in their areas... I have not seen any problems, so hoped I'd be back in business after the own work... but, not luck.  I replaced then shouldn't each of them with an old trick of cartridge although they may be empty or low on ink, I always get this error... I thought that I can get a "low ink" error, but again... Alternatively, was missing or corrupt error on the printer screen.  I tried every method of troubleshooting I've read on... except, of course, replace them with new ones.  I hate to do it because they're all pretty full and who can afford to lose $50 + unless I am told you I have.  It seems all too coincidental he appeared immediately after the transport jam, but I had not done something for the cartridges themselves... and, as I said, I would have expected the 'old' to get rid of the message.  The message could be now what is stuck?  I need to replace my HP laptop to work so badly.  I really don't want to replace my all-in-one too many! I read the other posts with this issue settled after taking action I've tried... Why mine won't get solved?  Does anyone know what I should do next?  As I said, I unplugged and just turn off several times each.

    Thank you very much

Hi, is the printer still under warranty? You can check by typing the serial number only. here...

  • 'transport jam' paperless in the officejet pro 8500 printer

I received a fax and then "clean printhead" appeared... 15 minutes later... always cleaning... I shut it off with the power button... waited 2 minutes and then turned back on it... "jam carriage error", I check the whole printer inside out and backwards on the side... I turned it off again... unplugged it... and rekindled it... then I saw "replace ink cartridge"... the cyan and black... I took the cartridges off... put them back in and then looked at the ink level... There are still many at a time... then I get the "jam carriage error" once again... and nothing that I may change this in the window... If I click OK in the window... it says "Printing cancelled... then back to 'jam carriage error'... I think» also the transport of ink is pasted on the right side... He tried to pass it... and cannot without ripping it out of the printer... when I opened the box in the back... it was ink on the right side...

It is 3-4 years, because I had it... and put some miles on it... I do PITCH it... just bought the 8600... still in the box... or is there hope... and of course, I just bought and put new cartridges color... lol... Thank you...

I count on the printer immediately.  It may be just a deep reset to clear the problem.  Run through this document.  If it doesn't help you to solve the problem, then go ahead and get rid of the printer.  Let me know what happens.

  • Photosmart 2575: eprint causes transport jam

My Photosmart 2575 printer can print the self-test and Windows, but most of the time when I use eprint to android, either phone or tablet, it loads the document and then reports the transport jam. It almost seems like eprint sends a command to the printer is not exoecting. How can I fix?

    Hello

The HP Photosmart 2570 series is not supported by the HP ePrint software, so you may experience problems.

You can find the following table with web solutions offered for any model of HP printer, HP ePrint is not supported for your printer:

    http://support.HP.com/RS-en/document/c03722645

I suggest trying the HP Print Service Plugin that seems to support your printer and check differences using this solution:

  • Cartridge HP 1350 Jam/Incompatible transport

Hello... I have a HP PSC 1350, old but works always, but the end of problems with persistent transport jam and cartridge compatibility. Basically, the symptoms are the following: after hitting 'print' transport sets on the left side. Not really of interference, but to rest it. If I open the default gateway is in the middle position to remove a cartridge and replace.

I have two new cartridges in the printer. The black HP56 arises from HP, the color HP57 is a generic. I used generics for years without any problem.

Anyway, the message I get on the screen is "check printer cartridge" and in the application of series HP PSC 1300, the error message is "the black ink cartridge is faulaty or incompatible with this printer." I replaced the cartridge several times and every time I do the printer will start, print a test page and do some printing tasks. But half an hour later when I hit print, it will return to the same set of problems. Weird that it works very well but not half an hour later. Sometimes if I do several resets I can make it work but after a rental it sitting idle going a bit, no.

So, essentially, the printer works fine when you're printing so I think it's a software/driver problem. Not sure if it's related but I noticed that the problems began after I upgraded to the Mavericks 10.9.2.

    Clues?

    Mike

    Hi Mike (Coopershawk).

Sorry to hear that these steps did not work!

I don't have access to service manuals (if they are still there) that I could link you too, but you can try to use Google and YouTube to see what you can find to disassemble the printer. You're right, if you can't fix it, it will be recycled anyway, why not just not?

I hope that you are able to fix this on your own Mike here and I thank you for your time! Good luck and feel free to let me know how you go with the repairs!
