Here are some Troubleshooting paper jam for your printer, and here are the transport jam solutions.

If your most recent error message involves a carriage jam, I suggest starting with the jam of transport document. Let me know if this helps you solve the problem.

I just bought this printer this week because by old man is dead.  It worked fine in the configuration process.  This morning, I got the airprint feature works and printed a photo from my iphone.  When the draw was made the printer makes a ratcheting noise effect and then I got an error message "jam of transport."  I turned off the printer and follow the instructions in the transport jam release.  When I turned on the printer back, first of all, I got a message indicating 'Abnormal termination' when off, he returned to «Transport jam»  I tried everything listed on this site.  I unplugged the printer, I plugged it in the wall, I removed the ink cartridges and reinstalled them.  The only thing I have not tried putting in new ink cartridges so there is always Setup cartridges in the printer.  At this point, I'm frustrated and want to through it out the window.

This is the document that was used to fix the carriage jam? If you followed the document until the end of the procedure;  I would call into HP total care. If you are still in warranty, HP can replace the printer without cost to you. I'll link the information to get in touch with them below. The link takes you to a form to fill out. • HP ENVY 4500: Jam of transport

    Hello

My Hp envy 4500 printer keeps 'jam of transport. " There is no visible sign when I opened the cover, and I don't know what to do. I really need to fix to print my homework of girls today.

    Thank you

    Hi @DeanPhillips,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you are unable to get rid of the 'jam transport' message on your HP ENVY 4500 printer. I will definitely do my best to help you.

I would like to try the steps in this guide, a Message appears 'transport Jam' HP ENVY 4500 e-all-in-one HP Deskjet Ink Advantage e-all-in-one 3540 Printer series.

This document will help you determine if there is an obstruction causing the carriage jam message, or if there is a mechanical failure in the printer.

    • If these steps solved the problem and the page print test, you can stop troubleshooting.
  • Jam of transport on C7180 all-in-One

I had an all-in-one operation until I tried to remove a paper jam.  After removing most of the paper to the back by following the instructions, I noticed a few pieces under one of the rolls and had to use a pair of tweezers to remove from the front. I am stil a message 'clear jam of transport' and the printer does not stop correctly. Before that, the only snafu was that the printer would not always print "fast draft" of some Web sites.

So far, I tried to disonnecting the printer and insepecting of the front and back. I can't see scraps of paper inside. Any ideas on something else I could try?

    Denny

    Success!

To this document, has been the key. On one of the steps, I saw the carriage freely return movement to the left and then dock on the right. I moved and then gently it leaves and voila a piece quickly to the top of the paper became visible. I would have NEVER been able to find it without moving its position anchored to the right carriage return.

  • HP all-in-one C310 with a message "clear jam of transport."

I have a C310 with a message "clear jam of transport."  I followed all the instructions on the website of HP, but get the same message.  The transport is really moving, so I don't understand why I get this message and how to fix!

Did you check with a flashlight inside the printer if ensure there is no small paper completely left or all the way inside the printer?  The transport may be able to move, but if she can't move along the transport route, then it will produce a carriage jam error.

There is also a document with the steps to resolve this error, but I see that you say you've done most of them, which can be found here.

If you perform all of the troubleshooting steps, and the error will not disappear, then the next step will be the replacement of the product.  If you are still in warranty, HP can replace the printer without cost to you. • Cartridge HP 1350 Jam/Incompatible transport

Hello... I have a HP PSC 1350, old but works always, but the end of problems with persistent transport jam and cartridge compatibility. Basically, the symptoms are the following: after hitting 'print' transport sets on the left side. Not really of interference, but to rest it. If I open the default gateway is in the middle position to remove a cartridge and replace.

I have two new cartridges in the printer. The black HP56 arises from HP, the color HP57 is a generic. I used generics for years without any problem.

Anyway, the message I get on the screen is "check printer cartridge" and in the application of series HP PSC 1300, the error message is "the black ink cartridge is faulaty or incompatible with this printer." I replaced the cartridge several times and every time I do the printer will start, print a test page and do some printing tasks. But half an hour later when I hit print, it will return to the same set of problems. Weird that it works very well but not half an hour later. Sometimes if I do several resets I can make it work but after a rental it sitting idle going a bit, no.

So, essentially, the printer works fine when you're printing so I think it's a software/driver problem. Not sure if it's related but I noticed that the problems began after I upgraded to the Mavericks 10.9.2.

    Clues?

    Mike

    Hi Mike (Coopershawk).

Sorry to hear that these steps did not work!

I don't have access to service manuals (if they are still there) that I could link you too, but you can try to use Google and YouTube to see what you can find to disassemble the printer. You're right, if you can't fix it, it will be recycled anyway, why not just not?

I hope that you are able to fix this on your own Mike here and I thank you for your time! Good luck and feel free to let me know how you go with the repairs!

  • Want 4500: Jam of transport (for no reason)

I have had this desire of 4500 for about 18 months and has never had a single problem.  The other day, I'm going to do a photo paper print job, then I start to get a transport error Jam.  I carefully check transportation and ensured in that there is no obstacle, basically quite HP on instruction for transportation jams, and everything is in working order.  Once the error clears, the cartridges move to the left and right without any problem stopping on the left side of the printer and the error comes back.

I repeat: IT IS No. OBSTRUCTIONS or JAM in THE PRINTER.

There is NO visible reason why should I get a carriage jam error... especially when the carriage moves very well on its own.

Edit: I read through other posts with people having the same problem but I have not found a single viable 'solution'.

Is seems not to be a problem with the accumulation of aerosols or other problems that the cleaning cart broadband would solve.  I don't have any other ideas but ask one of HP support officers rush in this one.

Printer HP all-in-one HP Envy 110

Jams of transport, always on the left side, always about 3/4 per page

    Hello Radians,

I don't think that the router would be the question, unless you have more than 20' away from the printer.  This would cause a sporadic connection.  Regarding the shaking or any question relating to a question of power, the only thing I can suggest is to make sure that the printer power cable connected directly to a wall outlet and NOT a bar/power strip.

If you still have questions, please use the contact information to get suggestions from HP Total Care.

    Thanks again for your time.

  • HP Officejet 7310 transport Jam

I tried all the recommended solutions and still cannot get it printed, he tries, but then I get the error message

    Jam of transport

Door open, clear transport jame and then press OK to continue.

    Hello

Please check if there is no paper stuck near the transport area. If found remove it.

Also, check if you are able to manually move the carriage.

If the truck moves automatically / manually, then we might have to reset the printer. Therefore, check your Inbox for the steps to perform the reset.

If the transport does not move, the printer must be repaired.

  • HP photosmart c4280 issue transport jam

Tried the hard reset as suggested, still getting the same message. "Jam, jam clear transport transport. Press OK. Any suggestions? Like new, used one summer in my truck. Cheaper to buy a new one and it crash?

There are a few things I would do in this case.  I remove all paper from the paper tray and make sure that it is no that whatever it is taken in the rollers that would block the way of transport.  Also, look inside the printer on the right side of the cart and make sure there is nothing blocking the movement of the cart here.

Have you tried to raise transportation and trying to move gently by hand?  Can it go all the way to the left and all the way into the printer?

There is also a document with more troubleshooting for a jam carriage found here.

If all the troubleshooting steps are carried out and the error continues to be present on the screen of the printer, then the next step will be the replacement of the product.  If you are still in warranty, HP can replace the printer without cost to you. I'll link the information to get in touch with them below. The link takes you to a form to fill out. Once you fill it and she is treated, it will give you the printers warranty information, a file number and the phone number to call.

  • Transport as a whole in a single 5510 jam

I get the message of jam of transport despite having fully checked for any questions, according to the Web site tech support. The printer performs a copy very well, but at the end of the job, when it's supposed to spit the paper, it seems to be caught tight rollers repeatedly and this until I gently pull the paper on the rolls. Then he gives the carriage jam message. I did all the instructions on the Web site as the feeding cycle, opening the door to behind to remove any paper (is there any), reinstall the cartridges, etc.

I noticed that normally when opening the door, the cartridge holder (transport?) went in the Middle, but it is not now that do, it remains on the right side.

He used to work very well last week, I did not any changes to the computer or the installation program. I am running Windows Vista.
