Troubleshooting EX60/90 MX200/300 endpoints

Diagnostic for SIP or H323 attached EX60/60 or MX200/300 end points... I've seen suggestions to use debugging CLI journal of

(1) 9 debug log ctx SipPacket (or H323Packet)

Is there any other syntax of debugging that is "more common" Troubleshooting of these endpoints... any suggestions would be a great help. Thank you.

  • Touch 10 with MX200G2

    Hi, I have a client who has several systems of MX200G1 and just got a new MX200G2 system. They dislike the Touch10 and want to use a Touch8 to maintain consistency. Looking at the specs on the Touch10, it seems that it is designed slightly different from that of the Touch8 (PoE for example). Is it possible to use a Touch8 with the version of the G2 MX200/300?

    The genius of these two devices of contact could resemble a little, but older codecs that use the 8 touch have a different user interface design, then the newer codecs that use the 10 touch, like the latest SX and MX Series have a new user interface.

    Touch 8 is supported only with the following devices:

    • Cisco TelePresence EX Series (EX60, EX90), Cisco TelePresence profile series (42, 55, 65 profile profile profile), Cisco TelePresence MX Series (MX200 and MX300), Cisco TelePresence Integrator C series (Integrator C40, C60, C90) and quick play of Cisco TelePresence SX20.

    Button 10 is supported only with the following devices:

    • MX200/300 second generation and future generations of SX and MX Series.

    As you know, according to the version of the TC TC5.1.4 software, all the codecs of series C/MX/SX/EX newly built have new NAND Flash.

    'Series C' means "C20, C40, C60, C90", is this correct?

    It feels strange to me that Quickset has same flash memory with codecs for Integrator as C90.

    This applies to the C20, C40, C60, C90, EX60, EX90, MX200, MX300 and SX20.

    So yes, you are correct that C-series Endpoint is C20, C40 and C60 C90, but please note this profile include with these endpoint of series C and system.

  • MultiStream in TC 7.3

    How can I enable multistream on the endpoints supported?  According to the telepresence Server Software Release Notes (4.1 (1.85)) the feature is experimental and is not enabled by default, but it say anywhere how to activate it.  No mention of the feature in the version of TC is noted.

    I checked the guides admin for some of the endpoints and same API guides, and none of them mention 'read', but it could be parameters of experimental setup that is not documented.  Using the web interface on the configuration page, just start looking for "experimental" and experimental hidden options will appear.  You can also check using the CLI, if you have a SSH access.

    Endpoints supported multistreaming capable are SX20/80, MX200/300 G2 and MX700/800.

    Components of the infrastructure are 10.5 (2) conductor and CUCM XC3.0.

  • Tap 10 on a profile or a Codec C40

    We start to have problems with the cords on our profiles and the older 8 "Prodigy.  Anyone who has used the new Touch 10 on an endpoint older?

    This has been asked several times here in the forums since the Touch 10 have been released with the new generation of codecs. The 10 touch works with the SX10/20/80, MX200/300 G2, MX700/800 only. No other codecs are supported.

    We use a distributed deployment of vRA 7 and have 2 devices with the built-in vro. Both devices show the service as running vco-server, and I can connect to each instance of vco using the orchestrator client. Also the asax component can load workflows vro. I am able to navigate to the inventory.

    Also, we noticed this problem after one of our servers of iaas is dead on us. We had to rebuild a starting from scratch and shiv inside. It was the Manager node, then this is the EDO, DEM and Manager of services that run on it. Not sure if this is related, it's just that we noticed after. It could occurred earlier also...

    Any suggestions on where to look to refine this would be greatly appreciated.

    I searched google for the first line in the stack trace 'com.vmware.o11n.web.util.CommonUtil.getServerConfiguration' and came across this recent article from VMWare:

    We have VCS - C and VCS-E only, no CUCM and TMS, just don't want to know if we can make working at MX200 directory or 300.

    Hi, you can create up to 100 or so entries in the local telephone directory. Then you can copy the pb across to the other endpoints, but without the tms will not get the directory company. And the local telephone book is a work of endpoint of pr job. If you want a more flexible solutiom, you should acquire the tms

  • History of EX60 using redial missed call fails

    I have a scenario where I have a (home network) VCS-E <-> <->VCS - C <->EX60 EX60. We have MSDS, the two units registered, if I dial e164 of external or internal device call is successful, BUT if the external unit lack an inner calling and I try to use the history tab and call the internal unit, my call fails.     Because I'm fairly new troubleshooting these untis, I did not enter all other newspapers. It almost seems that I have problems with SIP to H323 calls. I continue to dig, but I was wondering if one of you could point me in the right direction.

    A few additional remarks.

    * Please describe your deployment a little better (network and telepresene config... (also understood what Paulo asked).

    * have you bandwidth restrictions, by default the links, call policies or other things up?

    * Happens all the time or random / sometimes it works /...?

    * Looks like the return call was a sip call. Is the intention, which was calling returend origin, now

    What is the default call protocoll endpoint and progress areas correctly?

    * If you use the e164 numbers and only the vcs I would use either h323 as the default calling Protocol

    or see you get enum upward and running though a call can stay in the Protocol, all the time.

    * have you checked that all the areas are properly?

    * No ALG / Inspection or other layer3 h323/sip stuff active?

    * Search rules ok?

    * all used identifications?

    * registration of endpoints ok?

    * using a cluster? We noticed a bug that is still present in X7.2.2 (even if it is said that it's been fixed).

    If the call to the number e a164 hits VCS where endpoint is NOT registered, the call will fail.

    It could thus help us to see some screenshots of the inscriptions and the search history and details of the search.

    Please remember useful frequency responses and identify useful or correct answers.

  • Update Firmware EX60

    I have an EX60 but you must update Firmware before I can get it added to my network.

    I downloaded the upgrade, but am not sure how you install.

    Connect to your network for the few minutes it would take to download the software would be much easier than other methods because they will ask you to go through a tedious process of connection to the endpoint manually through the console cable.

    You can upgrade the EX60 via a TFTP method using your computer, see download-tftp-server-review-2.  Another document that describes the TFTP method is troubleshooting-ex-series-mx-series-sx-and-c-series-codecs count of 128 pg.  You will need to connect to the EX60 using a serial cable special, below is two methods of manufacturing such a cable.

  • Adobe flash plugin 11.3.300.257 is not compatible with Firefox?

    On two different machines (a Windows Vista 32 bit and the other Windows 7 64 bit) I've updated the plugin to 11.3.300.257 adobe flash, and it has stopped working on Firefox (still working on Google Chrome). No crashes, just an error message every time I click on what anyone who needs flash player. I've restored the previous version of the plugin
    (11.2.202.235) and everything worked again.

    The problem may be caused by the extension Plugin RealPlayer browser Record (Tools > Modules > Extensions).

    Alternatively, you can try to disable the safe_mode in the Flash Player.

    If your sound recently stopped working on Windows 8.x or Windows Server 2012 and you suspect an update of Windows is involved, then look like! This is the troubleshooting guide that will explain how to solve the problem!

    Explanation:

    Currently, there is a Windows update that may cause the sound on your computer to stop working. The update is KB2962407, and it is now an "Important" update This means that it will be installed by Windows Update unless hide you it.

    This thread also covers generic sound troubleshooting which can solve the problems of "no sound".

    Before the update itself, since an update of Windows cannot be the culprit, there are a few troubleshooting can be done.

    A round of troubleshooting:

    1. run the Audio Troubleshooting in Windows 8 may solve the problem. It does not contain the possibility of eliminating any parameter that affects sound. Here are some steps on how to perform this troubleshooting:

    (a) hold down the key "Windows" and "R" and type "Troubleshooting" and then press ENTER.

    (b) a window will open. On the left, click on "Show all", then "Audio playback".

    (c) click on 'Advanced' and run it as an administrator. Then click on 'Next' to complete the process.

    2 try to create a new user account. The changes forced by the update that is likely to affect only a single user. This HP document shows you how to create a new user in the section "creating a new account in Windows 8": users and connections (Windows 8) account management

    3. try a pair of headphones or external speakers. This is set by the whole issue if the sound does not work via an output of second or third device.

    4. an alternative is to uninstall the driver manually and then force to be installed again:

    (a) open the Device Manager and go to the section "audio, video controller and game."

    (b) make a right click on your audio driver and select "Uninstall".

    (c) restart the computer. This will force the material to write a new driver at startup.

    5. Finally, to ensure that the remaining steps that you have not tried this document are tempted: no sound from speakers (Windows 8)

    New inclusions:

    Deactivating and activating the audio driver has been tested with success results enough for me to post here. Here are the instructions to do this:

    (a) open the Device Manager and go to the section "audio, video controller and game."

    (b) make a right click on your audio driver and select "disable."

    (c) wait a minute, then right-click on it and select 'enable '.

    Also, the restoration of the system is also a valid troubleshooting step. This will return the computer to a point before the update or an external source of the issue has occurred. Here is a document on how to perform a system restore: System Restore

    If you want something strong, an update of Windows completely refreshes Windows 8, without affecting the files: refresh your PC to solve problems (Windows 8)

    Also, this is a sound of Windows troubleshooting tutorial. Just out of curiosity, I've recreated the problem on a Windows 8 and went through this tutorial. He has been able to solve the problem: no sound in Windows

    *Everything in italics is currently untested, but will be tested as soon as possible. I believe that these steps will help:

    In the search bar, type "services.msc" and press ENTER.

    Hold down the 'Windows' and 'R '. Type "services.msc" and press ENTER. Look for the following services:

    -Audio service

    -Windows audio

    -Windows Audio endpoint Builder

    I want you right click on each of these services and select "Stop". When they all stopped, right-click on each other again and select 'start '. So, make sure that the status of each service is "started" and their startup type is "Automatic".

    Troubleshooting of the update:

    At this point, unless you want to reinstall the operating system, the only other option is to tackle the update, KB2962407. Please note that the following troubleshooting is ONLY a workaround, for now and should be done only if the computer has installed this update.

    First of all, you can try the hotfix package content in this document from Microsoft, specifically at the KB2962407 address: RT of Windows, Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012 cumulative hotfix: June 2014

    If that doesn't help, then uninstall the update of Windows and then hide it, are the only way to eliminate the question if she caused by this update. Here is the procedure to uninstall the update:

    1. go in Control Panel, then click on "programs and features".

    2. click on "view installed updates". Look for the update with ID KB2962407.

    3. right click on the update and select "Uninstall". Restart the computer.

    Then, here is the procedure in order to hide the update:

    1. go in Control Panel, then click on "Windows Updates".

    2. click on ' Check for Updates '. When the process is complete, is expected to find important updates available. By clicking on the message will open a window where is the important updates.

    3. right click on the KB2962407 update and select "Hide update". This will prevent the installation update next time that Windows updates are installed.

    Conclusion:

  • TouchSmart 300: Windows 10 no sound

    Without your specific model number, I can't check for your PC, but I checked several Touchsmart 300 models and the problem is that your driver is NOT updated - and cannot be updated.  Why? Because HP does not provide the Win10 for the Touchsmart 300 pilots.

    If you follow the instructions in the thread and post your detailed model number, I can check for your model: find your model of HP product number. HP® customer support

    But fundamentally, the problem that you are facing is that Microsoft provides only pilots with the most basic features and what you really need for these features in laptops is the specialized drivers written for the specific material found in laptops - and unfortunately, there is no HP Win10 driver for your laptop.  HP only guarantees the compatibility of Win10 for machines manufactured after August 2013. HP is not no matter what timetable indicating when, or IF, they will produce drivers for older machines.

    Here are a few alternatives to pilot, you can continue...
