Satellite L855-14 days - touchpad is frozen

Hello

I was hoping that someone would be able to help me fix my touchpad.

It keeps freezing on after that I installed the drivers Synaptics appear on the page official drivers. It happens from time to time on windows 7, but on Win8.1 it happens quite often.

It is located on random. Left click, right click and scroll to continue working, but cursor didn't move for a few seconds, no matter what I do, and then it starts working again. It's really frustrating, and he spends a lot of time, making it pretty nasty computer work. If an external mouse is connected, when it freezes I can move the cursor with the mouse without any problems at all.

Has anyone maybe treated with this kind of problem before?

Thanks in advance & sorry if my English is bad

Hello

My toshiba satellite l855 14 days is very slow. I contact official served and told me which works very well, but I do not.
It is slower then my old computer 6 years dual core 2, so I'm very disaponting now. Now, I think it is the worst laptop ever. Intel i7 cpu and market so slowly... :(

Do you have any tips for me?
    It attaches to sort?

    Hi babica

On this forum, you will find number of threads with the same theme. There is nothing new and logic. Why?
New laptops are preinstalled with recovery image. Recovery image is a type of software. Most of the settings like Windows Update is set to automatic, so after starting the installation to do huge laptop download and updates. All of this runs in the background and you will not even know it.
This substantive activity rapidly slows reaction of laptops.

What you need to do now is optimization of the operating system. With other words, you must configure your machine to save resources for important activities. How to do this?

-remove all the things, you do not need the system
-Check the boot option and disable auto-start for all unnecessary applications
-set Windows Update automatic option to check the updates but let me...

If you like it and I think you will notice that your laptop works better.

Please NOTE: before do you anything to create recovery media (DVD or USB) using preinstalled Toshiba recovery media creator tool.

If you have any other questions do not hesitate to ask.

    Good luck.

  • Satellite L855-14 days - how can I activate fast sync intel?

I have Satellite L855-14 days, the laptop has:

CPU: Intel Core i7 processor Mobile 3630QM
Video chipset: AMD Radeon HD M 7670

How to activate the Quick Sync intel, because the intel core i7 3630QM integrates a graphics chip Intel 4000HD?
I should activate in the iGPU bios but there is now the option for this, and when I try to install the drivers for the graphics card intel, he says 'computer does not meet the minimum requirements. I have office with i7 3770 k, and when I activated the iGPU in bios I was able to use Intel Quick Sync.

    Thank you

and when I try to install the drivers for the graphics card intel, he says "computer does not meet the minimum requirements.

You will need to install the Intel HD Graphics 4000 driver by using another method.
Installation should work in installing the driver in Device Manager.
Here, you can choose the installation 'Advanced' that helps you to point to the folder of the driver that you downloaded from the Intel page.

Note: you must download this ZIP (not exe) package!

  • Soft shock hit cover of the Satellite L855-12N

    Hello

Two days ago, I bought a Satellite L855-12n (ice blue). He kept poking my skin like light electric shocks when I hit the bottom of the left and right of the touchpad corners. It happened only when it is connected and I'm barefoot, which led me to the conclusion that it is a grounding problem.
I complained to the store, but they don't have a clue and neither did support the technique of Toshiba... I tried in different places and took place as some of my friends who have checked, this isn't a problem of shots of my house.
The e store is replaced by another, but * it's the same! *
even the model they have for display in the store does the same thing (I actually had to remove my shoes among all customers to prove my point)

I am very disappointed and even think about legal action if necessary to get a refund. I asked an adapter 3-pin toshiba, but they said I need to send to their technical assistance offices, and when this is done I'cant take a refund or Exchange with a new model, so I'm taking a big risk here if it turns out that the change of the adapter does not solve the problem.

    any help?

  • Satellite L855 - 12N - keyboard problem after upgrade to Windows 10

    Greetings friends,
the problem goes like this: I have a TOSHIBA satellite, L855-12N, Series notebook.

After updrading to win 10, some of my keys (a, n, enter) did not work initially.
If I wait for awhile, they start work later.
I find that I continue to press a button, (for example the button "a") for a long time, I see that he started to answer, then stop again and then answer - stop, until finally it works OK.
I tried to update the drivers, uninstall and then reinstall, but it doesn't seem to work.
Anyone know what's going on, or have any suggestions?
    Thank you.

    You are 100% it's a matter of Windows 10?
Looks more like a hardware problem, keyboard should replace.

Go into the BIOS and test the keyboard in there.
If it goes into the BIOS and then replace the keyboard.

If it's a software problem, try uninstalling the driver for the touchpad Control Panel, then reinstall it via Windows Update.

  • Satellite L855 - 13G - cannot use the Webclaim service

    Hello

I bought a Toshiba Satellite L855 - 13G (PSKACE-04Y00CFR) in France last year, but this computer is already leading me in trouble!

The graphics makes noise, one of the USB port does not work, and now, without any change of software, the computer shuts off after displaying a blue screen with "KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR".
This blue screen just randomly (say about two or three times a day).

I would send this computer for repair, but now I find something very weird: Toshiba has done everything possible to hide L855 - 13G!

All first of all without result on the Web site:
    https://www.Google.co.UK/#q=%22l855+13g%22+site:Toshiba.com

Second, the model is not listed in the support Center:
    https://www.Toshiba.fr/innovation/generic/SUPPORT_PORTAL/
When I enter the serial number: no result. Also using the fields ' or is your product "model is not listed.

Third, and better, I can't access the service of warranty claim for a Toshiba product for this computer: when I'm on https://weblord.toshiba-tro.de/Webclaim/ and I fill the serial number, the computer is identified (Alleluia), I have a green check mark for the status of the guarantee and "your product is still in warranty period."

But then, I can't click next and mention "product not available: Unfortunately your product is currently not available" appears instead.

So... apparently Toshiba is is best to forget about the Toshiba Satellite L855 - 13 G, but for unlucky enough to have people buy a what are the next steps?

I would like to be contacted by someone from Toshiba to get an answer or a proposal to change my computer or at least fix it!

    Many thanks in advance,
    Best regards.

    > I would like to be contacted by someone from Toshiba to get an answer or a proposal to change my computer or at least fix it!

First of all, I want to provide you with information on this community.
This is a user to user community where you meant fans of Toshiba. You won't find any Toshiba here people

Now some details about the fix for laptop:
In case your laptop computer s hardware began to malfunction, you can contact the maintainer authorized Toshiba in your country in order to fix hardware problems.
Here on this page of Toshiba ASP you can find all available worldwide FSA:
    http://www.Toshiba.EU/innovation/generic/ASP_SUPPORT/

Last but not least, he should know that the warranty only covers hardware problems.
If in case the laptop does not work due to some software problem, the warranty would not cover the cost. This is why I would recommend you to retrieve the computer laptop back to factory BEFORE you contact the ASP.

I hope this info helps a bit.

  • Satellite L855 - question about charging battery

    Hello!
I have the Satellite L855-188. I have a question. My rating is at home, almost everytime. So how do I load it? Can I use it when it is still connected to electricity? Or sometimes I have to disconnect?

In General, you can do whatever you want. For example, my laptop is connected to the power adapter, and I use it every day. What you can do is to use from time to time with battery power supply. Just extend the empty battery and reconnect it to the power running. Do it once a week.

    > Can I use, when it is still connected to electricity?
    Yes.
    > Or sometimes I have to disconnect?
In general you should not do, but you can do it from time to time.

  • Problem with my Toshiba Satellite L855 - 14 c

Hey there guys. Last time I have a problem. One day, I was going down. There was a water and I wanted my laptop. But I slipped and my phone fell from the stairs. I was really worried. So I hurry took to the top. Power on and BAM. It didn't load Windows 8.1 but he showed something like: "No. Bootable Device Found. Please restart".» First I have if it is hard disk problem... So I brough HDD to my uncle. He tested the HARD drive on the other computer says it HARD drive is OK. Then I tried to delete and insert HARD return drive but still no change... . I think my uncle is right... I even tried to UEFI Windows 8.1 installation disk USB Bootable. The installation program is loaded successfully. But it was blocking "the installation program begins" about 4 hours. So I turned it off... Then I tried the installer again. I googled for help with DISKPART. But it has same problem that when I open CMD Setup (SHIFT + F10) and Type /diskpart it shows just something like:
    Microsoft DiskPart version 6.3.9600
    Copyright (C) 1999-2013 Microsoft Corpation.
    On computer: MINWINPC

It does not appear DISKPART > more than 3 hours... (It MUST.)

So I don't know what to do. .

Please guys help me. I'm only 14 years old boy.

    My laptop is Toshiba Satellite L855 - 14 c

I think that HARD drive can have bad sectors, possibly in the region of boot sector.

Connect the HARD drive to another computer, run this utility to verify the SMART State and check the defective number of sectors/blocks.

  • Freeze on Satellite L855 - 11K

    Hello

I have a Satellite L855 - 11 k (PSKACE). The problem I have with the laptop is the continuous gap.

    Explain the examples:

A game that does not demand a lot of features, CS (counter strike 1.6 network) I can not play, because I play + 70 fps and suddenly when we turn the camera or move in one area, the fps drops to 0 and blow less than 1 s up to 70 frames per second. No internet problem, the same thing happens in offline mode.

Another example are the videos, like youtube for example, a video of 480 p to my laptop I need to move smoothly, but must then image frozen (the audio continues to play) and I can't see anything. After 1-2 seconds veulve himself. But it's very annoying. (The same thing happens to 320p, 720 p or 1080 p). With vlc, nothing on this, but as I see the video I can't do anything more.

I also noticed that with any program when you save a document, photo,..., it is more expensive than a laptop with less energy.

Additional information: I have windows 8 x 64 (with windows 7 x 64 is the same), and I added a 4 GB module, so I have 8 GB (1600 MHz) ram. All drivers download from the toshiba website [http://www.toshiba.es/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp?service=ES]. I also noticed that when I copy something to port hard drive VIA USB 3.0 for a short period of 4-7 s high-speed 40MB / s, but falls to 1-3 MB / s.

And finally, in the windows Device Manager, I see the Blast graphic processor (intel grafics 3000HD) (seen intalled readers of the toshiba website).

Finally, I tried all modes of windows, balanced, economy, powerful... and activation and deactivation of the refrigeration system strategy.

I can serult all this time lag and freeze?

PS: I also noticed that the laptop FAN 30% does not increase, even if the pc is at 90 ° +!.

    Hello

The laptop supports the AMD Radeon HD M 7670.
Therefore, the hardware specifications are good enough to play games smoothly or watch videos full HD.

In your case I recommend that you check the version of the BIOS. Maybe there is a new version of BIOS that needs an update more trying to update ATI graphics card driver

Also I recommend that you check the HARD drive for a possible malfunction.
The freeware tool called disk HARD drive fitness test could be useful, this software allows you to test the HARD drive

Otherwise I have no other explanation for the quoted question... it's possible and hardware or software related issue.

  • Satellite L855 - 10 p - USB do not work because the BIOS update

    Hello

The other day that I've updated my BIOS on my Toshiba satellite L855 - 10 p and since my key usb stopped recognizing devices! I already tried everything I found on the web, contacted Toshiba support who gave me a link to the drivers usb etc and nothing.
Is it possible to cancel the upgrade? or re install old BIOS?

    Thanks for all the help!

I don't know if this will help but value default BIOS settings and try reinstalling the chipset driver.

What operating system do you use?

  • Weird problem on Satellite L855

    Hey all

I use a laptop Toshiba Satellite L855 Win 8 running, all was working fine until last night, after using it for about a half hour I went to stop, but instead it seems to go to sleep as the two lights at the front were still on, one whose power, blinking once I closed the lid which suggests a mode 'sleep'.

Now, here's the use strange bit, no key or mouse would be to bring back to life, I was a blank screen with the cursor, so after trying everything I could, I had to remove the battery, I started the boot and it worked but, on startup Toshiba it says configuration of the system, followed by the usual blue screen of windows update to search which includes the windows configuration of said, after which he went into win8 no problem!

It was about two days ago and since then, everything seems to work fine, but I was wondering what could caused from? any ideas anyone?

    > it was about two days ago and since then, everything seems to work fine, but I was wondering what could caused from? any ideas anyone?

The cursor blinking in the upper left corner is especially a sign of drive problems HARD or memory.
In my case the blinking cursor appeared because of the faulty partition of HARD drive and this fact, the laptop could not start the Windows System.

But in your case, it seems that system works well, so we can only speculate about the real reasons

  • Green pixel on Satellite L855-10 t

    Hello

I bought Satellite L855-10 t 15 days ago. After 2 days of use, I saw a green pixel on the side of the screen.
I took the laptop to the store and they replace it with a new. After 1 day of use an other green pixel on the center of the screen t. I took also, and even once they change it for a new.

Now I'm on the laptop 3rd of the same model. _Until now it works fine. _

    My question is...

    1. What is the Green pixel? It can be fixed? Is that the screen will have problems later, the largest? Is he considered Bobby equipment?

    2. is there a possibility to exist a line series Bobby?

Sorry for my language, this is not my mother tongue.

Thanks in advance for your answers.

Your display was simply a pixel.
Most of the time it of called dead pixel.

As described in the document, there is always a pixel fault tolerance and depends on the amount of dead pixels and the display resolution internal.

  • Satellite L855 - 12 X: how to use BD - RE with TOSHIBA Recovery Media Creator

    Hi all

My question is about the progress of the Recovery Media Creator.
I was about to create the recovery and I noticed that there are several options (DVD 4.7 GB, DVD 8.5 GB and Flash memory).

My Toshiba Satellite L855 - 12 X with a Blu - ray burner disc drive and I would use a BD - RE, I bought for backups.

Does anyone have a solution to use this media?

I guess that Blu - ray discs are not supported by Recovery Media Creator.
As you said: the 4.7 GB DVD, the 8.5 GB DVD and USB Flash memory stick options are available.

I think the 16 GB USB flash memory stick would be the best choice
