Unable to connect to WIFI. Need help!

Recently I bought HP Pavilion 10-K010 x 2

I can't connect to any wireless signal. When I click on troubleshoot I get the following message:

"The map of Realtek RTL8723BS Wireless LAN SDIO 802.11n network adapter knows driver - or hardware-related problems."

Help, please

Also, can you go into Device Manager and uninstall Realtek RTL8723BS Wireless LAN SDIO 802.11n network card? Then restart the computer and it will be re - install the driver again.

Sometimes, that's all it takes, if your luck.

There is no driver listed for Windows 10 for this model, so let me know what OS you have.

  • HP 15-ac152sa laptop: wifi tab disappears from the network settings menu. Unable to connect to wifi

I bought a new laptop. I connected to the WiFi network with no problems the first time. I have downloaded Microsoft office 2016 (home and student). The next time I turned on the laptop, the icon WiFi in the corner of the screen says "no connection available.

On the tab "network and internet". There is no tab for WiFi. Initially, I managed to fix it by clicking on the 'network card', 'properties' and on the 'power management' tab, I unchecked the box indicating "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power. This fixed the problem... until the next time I turned on the laptop. It's the same thing and I am unable to connect to internet via WiFi.

The single adapter in the list here is "Realtek PCI-e FE family controller #2". Still unable to connect to WiFi... Still no WiFi tab under settings "network and internet". Help, please!

So, the problem was finally solved (fingers crossed!).

Yes, the Internet access worked perfectly every time when it is connected through the Ethernet cable. Ultimately I phoned the helpline. They checked for the new driver updates (these have been already updated), restored the BIOS remotely and then restored the device to the factory settings. Start of the fault still took place intermittently. This indicates a hardware problem, and the unit was sent for repair.

The idea was that when the WiFi did not work, the WiFi card wasn't physically visiable in the list of available adapters, nor has the Bluetooth adapter. Apparently in this device, the Bluetooth and WiFi functions are on the same network adapter and apparently those elements should not disappear from the list of available adapters. So the fact that they disappeared together intermittently indicated a hardware problem with the card.

Now that I got my laptop back and I think that the WiFicard has been replaced. Hoping all is well now and I hope this post helps someone else.

Thanks hp for fast and wonderful customer service.

I can't connect my wifi Ipad.  I tried to off suggestions for Apple.  Now I'm stuck in the IPad introduction after my hard stop and when I get to choose a network, it is not mine.  All other devices in the House are connected.  I can't get out of the set up mode to go into the settings and try to activate the wifi.  Suggestions?

Because you cannot find your network, the SSID is hidden by the router? If so, you need to select other, and then enter the SSID and password yourself.

  • Unable to connect to WIFI after upgrade windows 8.1

    Hello

I fortunately was connection to my wifi at home last night before my HP Pavilion notebook updated to windows 8.1 g7. Now, I can only connect via ethernet cable.

I called Microsoft Support and I was told that my wifi driver was outdated and must be reinstalled. I had a look at downloads available for the network drivers, but I'm not sure how to establish that that I need... There are 4 options.

In the Device Manager > network adapters, it there was only one pilot who needed according to this update. The Realtek PCle FE Family controller. When I checked the updates here is said that it was updated successfully, but I am STILL unable to connect to the internet.

Microsoft say it is a problem of HP, not them. Help, please.

    Thank you

    Hello

My suggestion: using Device Manager to uninstall the Wireless driver and reboot the machine. Machine should say new hardware installed and find the good jerking for you OR you can download driver Realtek (wireless) from the above link and reinstall it.

    Kind regards.

My laptop was connected to wifi for over a year.

Other devices at home can connect WiFi as usual.
So the problem some puts in my laptop. I tried troubleshooting. Nothing works.
    Some registry setting would cause?

Some help would be really appreciated.

    arcprasad.

    Hi arcprasad,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Communities. The problem description, I understand that you are not able to connect to the WiFi network. Provide the following information for the better understanding of the issue:

    ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

    ·         You get the error message?

    ·         You use a third-party security software?

    ·         Have what troubleshooting measures you tried?

    Follow these methods.

Method 1: Temporarily disable the security software .

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Method 2: Follow these steps:

Step 1: Start the computer in safe mode with network and check if the problem persists.

    Startup options (including safe mode)

Step 2: If the problem does not persist in safe mode with networking, perform a clean boot to see if there is a software conflict as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Note: After completing the steps in the clean boot troubleshooting, follow step 7 the link to start the computer to a Normal startupmode.

Method 3: Follow the steps in the article.

  • Firewall cannot power on. Unable to connect to WiFi.

I have a Samsung PC with Windows 7 Home Premium. I have several problems with it. First of all, I have constantly to the little flag in the bottom right of my screen telling me that there are 5 questions with my PC, but above all it tells me that my firewall is disabled. Obviously, I tried turning on, but after asking me only one to turn on (AVG, windows,...) and then ask the admin. permission, nothing happens. The little note in the corner is still there, and nothing has changed.

Second thing is, I can't connect to my WIFI at home with my laptop. I have 3 roommates, and they're all perfectly fine internet. When I try to connect, it tells me that it is connect but with no access to the internet and then a small window appears in the lower right corner, say that there might be additional information needed. After trying just about everything, the only 'useful' thing, I found was troubleshoot tells me there could be a problem with my driver for wireless network connectivity. The adapter is an Atheros AR9285 Wireless Network Adapter. When I try to disable and re-enable the driver, nothing happens, and I don't really want to uninstall and re install since I think that might just make things worse.
    Can anyone help?

    Hi Zornig,

Thanks for posting on this forum. If I understand correctly, you are facing 2 problems on your computer. First of all, you are unable to turn on the firewall. Second, you can not connect to WiFi with your laptop. Hope I understood the issues.

Zornig, if you have more than one anti-virus or firewall applications on the computer, this problem may occur. It is recommended that you have only installed on the computer so try to uninstall one of them and check.

Due to WiFi, try the methods provided.

    Method 1:

Run the network troubleshooter, and check. Check out the link and follow the steps.

    Network convenience stores

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-networking-troubleshooters

You can use logs of the events of the resolution of network problems and try to solve the problem. Check out the link.

Use Network Troubleshooter event logs to solve network problems

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/use-Network-Troubleshooter-event-logs-to-solve-network-problems

    Method 2:

You can reinstall or update the NIC drivers. This can be done without harming the computer anyway. Check out the link and follow the steps to install the drivers for the device.

    Help please

    Hi Xavier

You see any unknown device or network with an exclamation point controller in Device Manager?

If that's the case download a driver Support.lenovo.com.

If you have any unusual driver in Device Manager, I suggest you go to the BIOS settings

Keep tapping F2 once you turn on the computer

Once inside the BIOS go to the Configuration tab and see if you have Wireless - set as active.

Press F10 to save and exit.

again check your device manager and see if she returned, or if you have a different unit now under device Manager.

    Hope this helps

    See you soon!

After a repair he said windows found a driver for network adepter
where to find the drivers for my laptop
my laptop is 1303au computer hp laptop pavilion g4

Please for your own good do not use myriads of download of driver from the web sites.  They are wrong and ruin your computer.

Your main source should be OEM for your computer.  Go to their support page and provide your model number.  This should lead you to the driver you need.

The only other source may be, if your system is Intel based, Intel driver update utility you can find by simply Googling.

  • Unable to connect to Wifi after new Hard Drive installation

Hello, I really need help. I have searched this forum days, reinstalled my drivers in the correct order, but I'm still not able to connect to Wifi.

I have a Dell Inspiron 1545 and I recently installed a new hard drive. Everything works fine EXCEPT the WIFI. In the network controller device manager has a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark inside. I tried to search to find the driver but it says that it is impossible to locate. When I download the Intel driver on the Dell site, it downloads but nothing never opens. I'm at a lost and I just need help. All the answers or pointing in the right direction if this has already been resolved would be greatly appreciated.

    OS: Windows Vista 32 bit

    MizzGi,

Download and install in this order...

    Dell System Software, v.6.5.0, A05

    Intel GM45 Express Chipset Family, v.8.7.0.1007, A00

Then, go to the Dell warranty status , enter your service tag, click the original configuration. Look and see what wireless adapter that you have installed. Then, go to the drivers & downloads , enter your service tag, select your operating system and under network, download and install the drivers for your card.

Then, download and install Dell QuickSet, v.9.6.21, A07
