Unable to connect TV to new router

KDL-46HX820. In the process of setting up the TV, I properly connected by Wi - Fi on my router Linksys Valet Wi - Fi. Later, I replaced this router with a Linksys E4200. The Linksys router has generated its own network ID and password. I tried to connect the TV to the new wireless router using the WPS process, but the TV will not connect.

What should I do to get the TV to connect to a new wireless router with a new network ID and password?

Thanks for any help.

Try to assign a static IP address for your TV. First of all, you need to find the address of the gateway of your wireless device. In a computer that is connected to your wireless network, you can open a command prompt window (start - run - cmd) and type ipconfig. This will give you the address of the gateway (for ex: 178.152.1.1)

Then go to the TV and go through the configuration of the network (wireless).
When you configure IP address and proxy, choose (custom instead of Auto).

Then proceed as follows:
IP address: 178.152.1.15
Address of subnet 255.255.255.0
Default gateway 178.152.1.1
Primary DNS 8.8.8.8
Secondary DNS 4.2.2.2

Note that the IP address and default gateway is the same as your gateway address you got from the computer except the last figure of the IP address.

Then browse the rest of the setp upwards and who need to connect to your wireless router

Vista, wireless router Netgear, no link, please help

No matter what I try, I can't connect to my new router cable, my XP and Windows 7 machines work fine but the Vista laptop are it. Have searched the web, looked at this site and the forums, but nothing does not jump and helps me solve the problem. I use a HP Pavilion DV9000 laptop, all service packs updates and so forth... any ideas?

I suggest that you contact your ISP and get their help in setting up the Vista machine so it connects properly.  They know the right settings for the access provider, while we do not have and that there may be something else you need to do with Vista which is different of the other two systems (and hopefullly the ISP will also know and be able to talk you through the process).  I call my ISP all the time and they are VERY useful and have ALWAYS resolved any problems, I called (even if sometimes he had a visit from a technician).

If the ISP Can ' t/don't/can't help you, then after coming back here and we'll try to go through it step by step, even if we cannot have all the information we need.  But I am sure that they will be able to help you more quickly and more effectively and with greater chances of success.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

    Hello

Actually try updating your driver and disabling the network logon.

Control Panel - network - write down of the brand and the model of the Wifi - double click top - tab of the driver - write
version - click the driver update (cannot do something that MS is far behind the pilots of certification). Then
Right click on the Wifi device and UNINSTALL - Reboot - it will refresh the driver stack.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

Download - SAVE - go where you put it - right click – RUN AS ADMIN.

You can download several at once however restart after the installation of each of them.

After watching the system manufacturer, you can check the manufacturer of the device an even newer version. (The
manufacturer of system become your backup policies).

Repeat for network (NIC) card and is a good time to get the other updated drivers as Vista like

I would also turn off auto update for the drivers. If the updates Windows suggests a just HIDE as they
are almost always old, and you can search drivers manually as needed.

Make sure you know the details of connection to your wireless router - SSID and password.

You lose connection when you do and have to redo your logon.

Control Panel - Network & Sharing Center - right, click Customize - page set of network locations.
lower left click on merge or delete network locations - REMOVE all instances of your network (and the
others you don't use anymore) - REBOOT. Start - Connect To log on to the network.

I see that you have an adobe account with the same email with forums, however, I don't see no subscription under this account.

If you can't change the email during indexing, see the steps below:

  • My HP shows it is connected to the new router, but does not connect to the internet. How should I do?

I have a HP G60 Notebook PC with Windows Vista Home Premium, it is about 4 years old. I recently got a new Cisco Linksys E1500 wireless router, which is connected to my home computer. My laptop shows that it is connected to the home network, but it does not connect to the internet. Other laptops in the House are able to connect to the network and to the internet. Mine seems to be the only one not working do not. Why it is not working? What should I do about it?

I ran the network diagnostics. It is said "a problem with you network router or modem broadband could prevent an internet connection." I have disconnected these two and tried again. It did not work! I have also connected my laptop directly on the modem and it does not always connect to the internet. I tried to reset the network card. My IP settings are set to automatic.

My internet connection was not a problem before last week (when I got a new router). What is the problem with my computer? Help, please!

    Hello:

If you have an Atheros wireless adapter in your PC and you have not updated the driver, I recommend that you install it.

    http://h20000.www2.HP.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=3688868&swItem=ob-99392-1&mode=3

Wireless adapters Atheros with former pilots, dislikes the new Linksys routers.

If you have an Atheros wireless card, and your wireless driver is more than 2 years, I am very confident that this will solve your connection problem.

  • Problem connecting to the new router

When we all first our WVC54GC Setup was quick and easy, and we used it without event for 1-2 years. Now, we have replaced our old router with a WRT610N. Everything else, wired and wireless, connected to the new network without event after I have updated their SSID settings and security. (A new uses WPA - WP2, the an old WEP) but for this camera I can not to do. I read the articles on this page and plugged all the correct settings, but it still won't talk of it in wireless mode. (With a cable that is no problem). What I'm missing here?

You must be identical on both devices wireless settings to establish communication between your router and the camera... Ensure that your camera settings Wireless 2.4 GHz of your router... Try Basic WEP security and see if that works, if WEP works you can change security to WPA... Once you have set matching the wireless settings, unplug the cable ethernet and power cycle the two devices and see if you can see your wireless camera...

  • Unable to connect with the modem router e2500

I have an old Speedstream 5100 modem hooked to my router e2500. Everything works well except if for any reason any my modem disconnects from the ISP I can not log in via the route to reconnect it. I need to connect a cable modem to computer direct run connect script then modem plug in router all is well again.

Any ideas why the connection to the modem router is blocked?

    Thnaks,

    al_mathews wrote:

My Speedstream has only an Ethernet connection so I did not know that he resembled a router for the local network. I changed the mode of bridge on the PPoE configuration on e2500 / Speedstream and reconnected to the ISP on the e2500 configuration screen. Who can solve the problem of reconnecting from now, it is run on the e2500.

One thing I see now is since I left the modem IP set to 192.168.0.X can't do it all through the e2500. Is it because my DHCP in e2500 is configured with 192.168.1.X range IP modem is not covered in my network? If I directly connect Speedstream and place you IP 192.168.1.X will become visible on LAN?

You are unable to access the modem even if you have a PPPoE connection. For PPPoE the E2500 will not need an IP address from the modem so it does not have DHCP on WAN port and so we never see. When you try to access the address of 192.168.0. * the E2500 it will route through the tunnel PPP to the ISP.

If you connect your computer directly to the SpeedStream it should automatically get a DHCP address (assuming that the computer is still ongoing on the DHCP protocol and not with a static IP address and the SpeedStream does not automatically neutralize the DHCP server in Bridge mode). If you have configured a static IP address on the computer, you must change the IP address to an address of 192.168.0. *.

  • 3050 printer all-in-one - connects to the new router?

    Hello

I just got a new router installed and since can't get my Deskjet 3050 to a wireless connection.

I tried to go into the router setting and adding via pin and WPS button but no work

I tried the part configuration of the HP set up in my Mac, but only crashed every time so I uninstalled the printer and re downloaded. However he now does not have as an Application, but I can still select in sub printers, but can only print via cable Wi - Fi and not

    Help - very frustrated

    Thank you

It's weird.  Try disconnecting the power to the printer without turning off first.  Unplug the unit from the rear of the printer and omit the cable for 30 seconds.

  • Connection to a new router with WPA2 Personal

I recently had to buy a new router - a Linksys WRT610N. It uses WPA2 Personal wireless security settings. I can't connect to wifi with my Palm T / X I have the latest version of Enterprise installed, but it is a home connection. I can't downgrade my WEP security - is there a way for it to work? Thanking all in advance...

Oh happy day! Using the checklist as suggested work - changed from mixed to B/G setting on the router and all of a sudden, it was my network, plain as day, on my T / X - a few insertions of password and I am strong. I don't have the download of the company on my T / X and I had to go home in two other devices but it is a painless procedure otherwise. Thank you, once again. I should add that Linksys support gave me 2 different answers, a flat-out "No way." and the second "you will have to change all your settings on each device-good luck!  (not very encouraging). Palm phone support wasn't better "can't do" - I did not pay, of course.

I'm passing this because I have an "instinct" that, despite all the negativity, I read there are some VERY bright, helpful people there voluntarily helping each other.  I hope that this post will encourage the other NOT to give up.
