I suggest you to disconnect all external devices that are connected to the system such as (printers, scanners, etc.) and see if the problem is resolved.

This occurs mainly, if the system (hardware or software) is not compatible with the operating system that you are trying to install on the system. • Printer is no longer detected after installed new router. Tried everything. Help, please!

I have a Photosmart 2575 printer which has worked well for several years.  It has a wired connection to my router.

Recently, I installed a new router (sky fiber hub) and now the HP software (and any other software printer/scanner) are unable to detect the printer on my network.  It's strange, because my desktop (wired network connection) and my laptop (wireless network connection) can see the printer and I can install it using the standard features of windows 7.  I can also browse the built-in web server, so I know for sure that my printer is on my network and accessible.

But despite numerous attempts to make the software HP Solution Center to work I am unable to print/scanning etc from this software.  I tried several different 'fixes' including full level 4 uninstall before reinstalling the software, reset the network settings on the printer, the printer remove everything on the network etc etc but nothing worked.

I tried to use the printing software HP and doctor Scan, but this does not help.

I'm totally perplexed by this apparent lack of connectivity.

    Can anyone help, please PLEASE!

    Alan Phillips

Success in the end, but only after many hours of trawling through forums of HP and Microsoft, and many attempts to make the connection!

But here's a summary of what I did for someone else with this question: -.

    1. I carefully removed all traces of what to do with my PC HP and unplugged the router of network printer.

This requires many "level 4" uninstall to clear all installed previous falied and delete everything in the temporary file later: -.

    1. press the Windows key and the letter R
    2. tap folder
    3. press enter or click OK
    4. open the file 7z
    5 open the util folder
6 open the folder of the ccc
    7. double-click on the Uninstall_L4

2 using the control Panel_Programs and features, uninstall anything left that could be associated with HP

    3. perform a disk cleanup using Start_Accessories_System Tools_Disk cleaning and repeat this for system files

4 Follwing the procedure found on the following link to check that the print queue is working, and that all the dependencies are "launched": -.

    Link to the message

In this thread, there is a sequel of the procedure which requires opening a command prompt in administrator mode and enters the command line carefully

dependent on the spooler of sc config = RPCSS
(Note the space after the = not before)

5 run msconfig.exe on the tab general, click on "selective startup", uncheck "Load Startup items", then on the services tab, hide all microsoft services and unselect all items [remember then to revive and return to a normal startup!]

    6. restart the PC

7 disable Firewall [remember to activate later]

    8. start Internet Explorer (I had previously used Chrome)

9 download AIO software from the HP Web site

    10. run and connect to the printer when you are asked (make a note of the IP address of the printer)

    11. the network printer was not found immediately, to do this, click Advanced and enter the IP address of the printer

12 success - the printer was eventually detected and installed correctly.

Select the disk partition where you want to install Windows Vista click Next.

You will receive the following warning:

  • Our Toshiba Inspiron will not start windows, even in safe mode. Help, please!

After the updates of this week, the system will not load anything.

    Hi Juliet,

Thanks for asking the question in the Microsoft Community forum.

From your description, I understand that after Windows Update, you can not load Windows.

To better understand the question, please answer the following questions:

    1. What is the version of the Windows operating system that is installed on your computer?

    Reference: http://windows.microsoft.com/is-IS/windows7/help/which-version-of-the-windows-operating-system-am-i-running

    2. what happens when you try to load the system? You receive an error message?

    3. what application or anti-virus security suite is installed on your computer?

    4. you remember after installation of update, you are facing this problem?

Remove any external device connected to the computer without keyboard and mouse and then perform the methods.

If you are using Windows 7 and Windows Vista, follow the mentioned methods:

    Method 1:

If the computer does not start in safe mode, perform the last known good Configuration.

    Reference: http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/using-last-known-good-configuration

Note: Link above also applies to Windows Vista.

Question remains always use same method 2.

    Method 2:

Try to perform the Startup Repair and check.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/products/features/Startup-Repair

If you are using Windows XP, follow the mentioned methods:

  • I have 2 problems-how can I activate my Add ons and how to uninstall Windows Anti Virus. I need help, please.

I have Windows XP 32-bit with IE8 Add ons.  I mainly use Firefox Mozilla for my browser and Yahoo as my home page.  Anyway, I have tried all the support and help guide and technicians told me to do to get add ons to open and activate but in vain.  This computer was given to me as a profession, and it was used in a Bank, so I think that the system administrator has disabled the add ons.  I myself as an administrator and use the tips and tricks given windows and Microsoft, but I always run up a wall.  I need help, please.
I also need to know how to uninstall Windows antivirus software.  I can't find anywhere on my computer.  I feel really stupid and he is probably right in front of my face, but I can't find it to uninstall.  I have McAfee that I paid dearly for if I want to use it until it expires.

This "Microsoft antivirus' witness (AKA Trojan W32/FakeAlert) hijackware infection!

If you manage to somehow move to Win7, you will always have an infected computer.

The ONLY way to solve the problem is by formatting the current hard drive and do a clean installation of Windows, whether it is WinXP or Win7.

The ONLY way you can do a clean install of Windows XP if you have disks that came with the computer or if by chance, there is a hidden partition restore (not to be confused with the system restore).

If your kids er - well & their spouses are going to spend money on a new HARD drive, they'be be better spend on a low-end Windows 7 computer and brand-new (for example, a netbook or a mini).

NB: Any data on your Windows XP computer must be considered 100% reliable! (This includes all of your usernames and passwords, for example, those used for online banking, etc.) You do NOT want to put ALL the data from Windows XP to a new computer or HARD disk.

Good luck, Grandma. Hope that your grandchildren will treat you better than their parents.

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.
    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/HT/driverdlmfgr.htm

How to install a device driver in Vista Device Manager
    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-Device-Manager-install-driver.html

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver under Windows
Updates, that leaves about Windows updates but it will not install the drivers that will be generally
older and cause problems. If updates offers a new driver and then HIDE it (right click on it), then
get new manually if you wish.

Refer to these discussions because many more excellent advice however don't forget to check your antivirus
programs, the main drivers and BIOS update and also solve the problems with the cleanboot method
    first.

  • No access to Windows Vista Home Premium more - need help please!

    Hello

I made the most stupidest mistake by not creating a password reset disk.  I have one account administrator, and this is my account, I use as well.  I am currently logged in as "guest".  I tried to create a password reset disk from another computer with Vista Home Premium and tried to reset my password, but can not, as happens with an error.  Now, I know that there must be a way to get new.  I have an idea of what is my password, but I could have made a typo when I re-printing and since disconnecting and tried to reconnect to test, it didn't.  Lycky for me, I have activated the Geust account for a friend to use.  So now I'm stuck.  I need to reconnect, so I'm desperate, and re - install Windows is not an option either.  Pretty anyone can help me please.  I tried all combinations and tried to make deliberate typos to see if I can get the correct password, but not to go at all.  And the geust account limit me to access what it is, I can't install of the software, it asks me my administrator password.  Is there another way around it.  Please please help.  If there is anything I can do in Windows, there's a few other kindof thing I can do at least.  All that will be a great help.

    Thanks in advance.

Hello! Recently, I have restored my laptop with a general copy of Windows 7 pro 64-bit. I had to redo all the drivers and software (of course). I had installed Rescue and Recovery before but never used. I tried to reinstall it today and he throws back each time with the same error message (error code 25014 = 6)! I had installed linux but deleted and installed Windows again. I also have a 21 not used same GB partition (I have no idea how to combine). Any advice on how to work will appreciate it! Thanks for your help in advance!

RC 25014 = 6 error is error install boot RNR Manager.

    Provide information:

    (1) your machine ship of Lenovo, with Lenovo factory system? If Yes, what operating system has been installed? Vista, windows 7 home, pro etc? This would install with 3 partitions: system_drv, Lenovo recovery, (C).

    (2) you say: I recently restored my laptop with a general copy of Windows 7 pro 64-bit

Not that this means that you do not have a Lenovo factory restore, but actually installed a commercial version of win7 pro?

I'll assume win7 pro retail for now.

    (3) you say: I had installed Rescue and Recovery before but never used.

It was in the past, lets say on a shipped factory system Lenovo?

    (4) you declare: had installed linux but deleted and installed Windows again. I also have a not used 21 same GB partition

It seems to me, your HARD drive had a top system.  I see Ubuntu mentioned in your other posts. Your HARD drive had several parttions, including the 21 GB partition. Then, you have decided to install a retail version of windows 7 pro.

During a sale at retail of windows installation, you must pay attention as to where it will install.

    Note steps 7 and 8.

It seems that you did the windows installation disk HARD existing, with the pre-existing partitions.

    RC = 6

The simple answer is THAT NRR is already installed.  Did you uninstall RNR before installation?

    The answer is complex:

During the installation of RBR went to add its boot manager entries, BCD (startup control data), he did NOT like the content of the BCD, IE other entries parked in the BCD, ie, Linux. He expects to have 2 slots used in BCD, windows, and windows RE.

Reflect this. See if it fits your situation.

I would erase the HARD disk via a standalone utility, then install win 7 pro retail and all issues should dissipate.

This erase/delete can be done during the installation of windows.  refer to steps 7 and 8 above.
