• Trying to upgrade to CS4 from CS3 Extended

  I'm trying to upgrade to CS4 CS3 Extended.  Web page States Adobe to call Adobe support for this upgrade.  I call them before I try the upgrade to ask what I should do.  They tell me to intall it and recall.  I get to the screen series and call, they tell me to fully install in trial mode, then remind.  I have this and remember, but notice that he installed CS4 Extended, CS4 No.  They tell me that they cannot help me because I bought only CS4.  That's all I want is CS4, so I uninstall CS4 extended and try again.  Once again (from disk) installation install CS4 Extended(At least that is what the title page says).

  Do I need to uninstall it before installing version CS4 CS3 Extended?

  The behavior is normal. Advanced features are dictated by the serial number when you buy the full version, but the trial still runs as PS Extended. Installation is the same, anyway.

  I had Adobe PS CS3 installed on my laptop wife.  But his HARD disk was giving problems, so I've migrated the o/s to a new hard drive to SSD.

  Now, I install the software back, I have successfully installed Adobe Photoshop CS3 and recorded it, I then tried to install the upgrade for CS3 DVD:

  Photoshop CS4, but it fails to insert the code. The code for the CS4 update is accepted OK but when it asks for the serial number for Photoshop CS3 already installed and registered, he said that this serial number is not recognized. I can't seem to work around this problem, and it is very annoying. I have received for the two versions and they were bought from reputable companys Unfortunately it was a few years ago, so probably no help now.

  The last time that happened a few years back, I contacted Adobe who talked through the process that required a different number series and another method

  I can not remember now.  I got this DVD upgrade for awhile and it's a shame if we are unable to make use.

  
  

  I use Adobe CC on my desktop doesn't have is no need for that. But my wife likes the older versions of Photoshop.

  CS5 is no longer sold and as far as I know, CS3 is too old to qualify for the CS6 upgrade price

  I intend to upgrade to CS4 (design premium) very soon, but want to keep the CS3. A representative from Adobe told me that when the upgrade to CS4, installation is written above CS3. Is this correct? I thought there was a way to keep the CS3 during the upgrade to CS4. If so, is this a special option which must be selected in the insatll? Reason being, I have a couple of clients who want jobs delivered in native format - some works in CS3 (InDesign) and one who works in CS2 (w/files in the InDesign Interchange format).   By default, it installs in places that won't disturb your CS3 components.

  I clean up the previous version of the suite a mac CS3. However, I had a few questions I was wondering if anyone has a solution.

  When you run Bridge CS3, images there Bridge CS4. There is no export function I know (is there?). How to do everything that is in Bridge CS3 to CS4 appears before I have remove the CS3 applications?  (this macbook pro that I use was responsible for CS2 days until CS4... I have inherited at work and need to make room but still keep intact images, I never used before Bridge all noob help is appreciated)

  Bridge creates only preview thumbs for its own library of cache and not the

  the original files, they keep intact in the same files you have now

  on your system.

  You can uninstall safely CS3 without loss of images. However you will need to

  to cache the images again at the opening of CS4, but that takes some time.

  You will need to re-create new areas of work for the PS and the bridge, and then set

  preferences back to your wishes, but that is only once. Keep in mind that

  actions and brushes that you have created or loaded onto your CS3 application not

  automatically copy. Better PS CS3 save you first in a folder, you can

  easy access and in CS4 load again of this issue.

  Why do you think that CS3 installs? If CS3 is the full version and buy you the CS4 update all you have to do is install the CS4 and CS4 update will ask the serial number CS3 check that it is correct without CS3 on the computer...

  I just got a blister of PS CS3 upgrade version. I have a full version of PS 7 installed on my machine.

  I can upgrade to this version. Adobe supports upgrades of the 3 versions back, but I read somewhere that after October 2008, I won't be able to move to CS3 - it is not sensible. Can someone clarify? Thanks in advance.

  October 2008 was the date that CS4 came out. So not 'redevelopment' of CS3, because Adobe has stopped selling. Some dealers still had remaining stocks, but the chances that your retraction box is a good copy are reportedly slim. A call to Adobe should tell you if the serial number in this box is valid and can be improved (to CS4 +) on.

  I design for print and each year more and more customers have asked me if I would design their website after that I designed their brochures and other related material. For the past nine years, I never found the time to learn web production. I bought Adobe PageMill and then upgraded to Adobe GoLive 5 but I never found the time to learn from these programs. But lately, Web design applications have persisted. I downloaded the trial version of Dreamweaver CS4, but it is too slow on my 1.25 GHz G4 MDD two-way, running Mac OS 10.4.11.
  
  So, I bought the Dreamweaver CS3 upgrade, which was still available from Officemax.com. I also bought "Dreamweaver CS3: The Missing Manual ' by David McFarland. I'll go through the tutorials the weekend trying to become functional with Dreamweaver.

  So to make sure she wasint my disc I downloaded i tunes and they all copied without probs and play without a disc loaded.

• CS3 upgrade Check - desperately need this program to work

  I have Creative Suite 3 Design standard, its upgrade.  I have a full version of Creative Suite 2 with serial number. (both versions were purchased directly from adobe)  After installing CS3 upgrade, I get to a control of the upgrade screen.  My suite create 2 isn't an option to choose. Only real programs that are in the suites. I just had to do an upgrade of windows, it's been 6 years that I have installed this software and use it constantly and really not the ways to improve. I myself remember having this same problem back in the day when I installed it all first. But I don't remember what I did to finally run.

  At this point, I tried to install CS2 but I can't activate it (as I read adobes activation servers have been cut for this release) then it is useless.

  If your products are registered with Adobe, they can unlock CS3. It's called a "challenge code".

  Apparently, Adobe has a coding challenge system.  So, if you have the old serial number of the upgrade and you call customer service.  The customer support has a challenge code procedure where they give you a code that overrides the problem.  Unfortunately, it took me 5 calls to customer support until I found someone who was able to do.  The keyword is "Challenge Code"
