Unity 4.0.1 supervised transfer

Scenario:

The unit makes a transfer supervised an extension that is busy. Call handler is configured to automatically place calling waiting. After the first 30 seconds, the caller is invited to continue to operate, leave a message or try a different extension. Calling is stunned on the phone, confused by any chance that they would actually have to provide some kind of feedback.

Question:

Can I control where the unit headed to the appellants if they are too lame to press a key after this prompt? They are being sent to the opening greeting.

Thank you very much!

-Dennis

Currently, it isn't configurable - it is hard coded to go to opening greeting Manager created by the installation program. The original idea was to start the process to back out and eventually hang up a call which can be disconnected without get us a signal as such (a problem on some older PBXes there in the past, not something that happens to a heck of a lot these days).

  • Option for a transfer out of a direct number

If we wanted to have a call handler and/or the option of voice mail for a transfer out of a direct number, is that possible? For example, the voicemail would push 1 if it is an emergency situation (which would be directly dial a cell phone outside) or press 2 to leave a message (which would be in the mailbox). If possible, how to reach us? We use unity 4.04.

Yes, it is possible. Configure you another Manager to call with his other transfer rule enabled and configured it to dial the number (including the prefix outdial, of course). Then you must set the key ("1" in this example) user input to "attempt to transfer for" the call handler, you did. Then, the user can press "1" for your first call handler greetings and be transferred to the outside.

I would set the transfer type to 'release' If you can - progress call for external phone systems can be sometimes fragmentary so supervised transfer is more annoying (but can be used).

You can check the apper 'Applications of Audio text in unity' on the page of Documentation of www.CiscoUnitytools.com for much more on how to do things in the auto attendant of the unit - this article is a draft of one of the chapters of the book "Cisco Unity Solutions and Deployment Guide" fab - available in your book favorite store now...

  • 0 # external mobile phone - user-defined

I was wondering if there is a way to allow users to set their choice of menu to 0 # transfer the current caller to their cell phone, if it is entered.

If the user is not able to do this. Can someone help me set up an option to the appellants of dial # 0 voicemail and to have passed to the cell of users?

Is your h323 gateway configuration? If so, try again the transfer of liberation but add a few commas at the end of the destination of the transfer station in unity. This will add some delay seconds after dialing before the unit releases the transfer and gives extra time to bridge to set up the outgoing call leg. (see CSCee79936)

  • External transfer # supervised.

    VM 4.0 (4). CCM 4.0 (2)

Is it possible to transfer control to an outside number? For example. someone composed a DN, ring 4 times, then forward to an external number, rings 4 times & then if there is still no answer the call is placed in the unit subscribers voicemailbox (providing there is no transmission/box voice # external).

I don't see how this is possible, but I'm open to suggestions!

    See you soon,.

    NJ.

Yes, you can do so by chaining the call handlers - I give some examples how to do just this sort of thing in the book of "Applications of Audio text in unity" on the Documents page of the www.CiscoUnityTools.com.

  • 3.1 the CME with unity UM cycling back to wishes of opening

I have connected 3.1 with unity 4.03 UM CME. Almost everything works. I can call internally and leave messages, MWI works, I can access VM from a phone.

What does not work is this situation:

    1. call success outside the opening GreetingCH

    2. the appellant between extenstion and goes to a phone user what rings 4 times then passes to the UnityUM.

    3. call goes back to the OpeningGreetingCH instead of the user's VM.

It seems that the UnityUM do not realize that the call is sent by another extension that has a virtual computer account. Nothing in the default unit routing rules have been changed. I didn't give the opening of an extension number of wishes, but this should not affect things.

Recommendations on how to check and fix this?

The first thing to check is to see what extension is presented to us during the transferred call - this is the most likely the cause. You can do this by pulling the top of the viewer of the call that you will find in the depot of tools on the Office of the unit. Once, it is to the top, do your test call and look what we get when calling forward in unity. I am betting that the transfer station is not the ID assigned to the Subscriber, you are eager to provide it.

  • Transfer of appeal by time of day

I'm trying to configure the unit to direct the calls based on the time of day. What I have is a Manager call called parts and 9-5, I need the call transferred to a phone (2550) and after these hours, I need a greeting played. I chose: Yes, ringing a subscription to this extension in the transfer of incoming calls to 2550 and do it for Standard and closed, I selected no, send directly to the reception of this Manager, I created a port CTI 2222 which is a DID and is above all to voicemail checked, I assign tha call parts Manager with the extension , my problem is that when I dial this number from an IP phone for 9-5, I get the welcome message, but when I dial directly in the auto attendant pilot number and then dial the call handler 2222 I get what I'm looking for. Am I missing something here? I use 4.0 (3)

    Thank you!

No, you're not missing something - the unit is supposed to do. If a call forward by another extension assigned to the Subscriber or call handler, we have to mount the rule of transfer for this Manager and go to the right of the rules of the greeting. This avoids "transfer loops", which can burn through the ports and pick up the unit in a hurry.

You can work around this by chaining a 2nd call handler to be one that is affected by the extension - have its transfer rules disabled and set greeting alternative to be active, together it's wishes to be a Virgin, and after greeting action is defined on ' transfer of attempt for "the call handler, you have already created. Transfer on the way is only of the first Manager/subscriber hit when a call passes in unity, then this will have the effect of the compensation indicator and to let the transfer through the way that you want. Composition of the AutoAttendant will continue to operate in this way.

  • Transfer of the unit

I use unity 4.0 (3). If I called our main number from the outside, composed of a position left a VM, then needed to compose another post and did not want to go through the operator, how would I do that? This function is possible thanks to the unit?

    HI -.

An action by default, unless you have changed, should allow the entry of the appellant while playing the greeting of a Subscriber. You can validate this by looking at the default subscriber template, page greetings in the SA of the unit. The box to allow the caller to input should be checked. So if you do not want to leave a message in the greeting someone, enter an extension of another customer and the unit will say: ' wait while I transfer your call. You will be transferred to the phone of the Subscriber of the new.

    Kind regards

    Ginger

  • The outside phone number transfer unit

I'm under Unity 4.0. Is - it possible to (using entry of the appellant) to transfer a call to an external telephone number. Exodus, they want to have a press calling 1 and the transfer of a number of 800 call phone outside.

    Hi Jerry -.

Well Yes, it works very well! Create your call manager and call forwarding settings, select the radial button 'Yes, ringing a subscriber to this extension '. Equip your number, including any prefix numbers, you need to dial to get SMS, example: you must dial 9. Select output to the switch. Then the code this handler in the 1 key entry of the appellant.

    Best regards, ginger

  • Transfer directly to the mailbox of the user in the unit

This was probably requested in the past...

    I have 4.1 CCM (3) and unity 4.0.4

You know an easy way for the standard transfer a call to a voicemail access number (without the ring extension users).

I tried to do it using a Manager to call the unit, but so far I've found a way.

    Fast ideas?

  • Old Meridian integration with unity 4.2

    Hello

We have just implemented VOIP with 4.3 Callmanager and unity 4.2. We are slowly migrating our Meridian users more at Cisco by Department. Our phone provider configure our servers and they tell us it is not possible on the following problem:

Meridan e-mail users can transmit their messages to anyone on the side of Cisco. When they send their messages to the user on the cisco side, the message is found in the cisco users old Meridian mailbox.

I find that odd, since the cisco phone, if the user dials the old meridian phone number (6200) they can check their messages on the e-mail Meridan.

Does anyone know a work around for this?

    Thank you

Basically, you have two choices... Either use FRIENDS on both sides so that they can transfer between systems messeges... or convert you everybody on the unit.

The two systems are entirely separate and have no way to "talk" to each other, with the exception of AMIS. The Protocol of AMIS works and is well documented, but it is a nightmare to admistrtaive if you have thousands of users and multiple sites.

If you are dealing with a single site, less than 1000 users, create a voicemail migration plan and move everyone to the unit. You should be able to use the unit with Meridain phone system. Dialogical, VG248s or PIMG peripheral cards are the key elements of the migration. (function that works and happening DTMF of the Meridian unit)

There is no quick answer, that's a lot of time and planning that must take place if you want a Vmail system smoothly to all users...

  • Connection of the unit - transfer to AA

I have a need to transfer busy / Annick callers to an extension to an auto attendant of the connection of the unit. Currently, the CCM has the value of the extension to transmit an AA extension on the server of connection of the unit, but when the call is forwarded, the standard greeting voicemail plays. If I answer the call and manually transfer the appellant in the Guide, everything works well.

I tried setting upwards to pass rules routing, but without success. I confirmed that Call Manager is configured to send the number of "Redirect" as well as the call to the connection of the unit.

Anyone has an idea on how to achieve this?

    Software:

    CallManager 4.1 (3)

    Unity connection 1.0000 SR1

I'm a little confused... If you have a Subscriber with extension 1234 and 1234 is transferring a call you don't want the call to go to the wishes of the customer and to leave a message? Really?

If you do not want that to happen so you can introduce that a routing call in transmission rule rule called upstairs who said if the call would transfer of 1234 and then forced to go to a call handler - this means that the Subscriber to post 1234 will never get people forwarding messages from his phone...

  • Cisco Unity call of managers calling entered invalid entry

I created an Automated Attendant Call Manager that allows callers to dial a (entry of the appellant) extension during the greeting. Key 7 is not locked and expects additional keypress. It works fine if the caller dials the number of correct extension. If the appellant accidentally composed a 7xxx extension that does not exist, they receive the following message in the system of the unit, "I didn't recognize that as a valid entry." "Hello, Cisco Unity messaging system. From a touch-tone phone. "Is it possible to configure the DA call handler to transfer the caller to a call handler I created place of Cisco Unity System Manager? The AA, I created is losing control of the call when it is sent to the system. I would that the AA to hold on to the call to provide it's own 'invalid extension' message appears, then return the appellant to call AA handler greeting. Thank you in advance for your help! -Paul

You don't specify your version of unity, but I guess that a version 4.x of little flavor or another.

This can be easily done by editing the greeting of the error. By default it does not appear in the SA, but you can display it by using the advanced configuration tool to turn it on. By default the error greeting will play this generic invites "I didn't understand...". "and transfer the caller to the opening greeting Manager of appeal. You can set it to wrap on itself instead.

You can also use BulkEdit (found in the tools on your desktop filing) to do that--change the greeting error (still on display in BulkEdit) and in the action dialog box, select "loop back to itself" optional - this way, you can change all the call management and subscribe to the caller of the loop back to the call handler current input not valid.

  • Transfer of files and the defunct view utility

OK, I'm new to VMWare and I have recently installed Windows 7 Ulitimate x 86 and it doesn't seem to work as it should.  So Windows itself works perfectly, good also that windows can .  The first fight is with the file transfer.  On the site and in the VMWare provides training videos that you can just do drag and drop files from Windows to OS x without any problem, well not for me.  It simply doesn't get it.  I can't move a file in our out of the Windows.  So this is the problem #1.  The other problem is that I can't run for the utility, would not light up the icon on the top right so I can click on it.  So when I click the icon in the menu bar to search for applications to add in my utility notice nothing appears at all.  I couldn't find any information in the Knowledge Base, and if anyone can help in pointing me in the right direction of articles or other messages, that would be great.

    Thank you

The other problem is that I can't run for the utility

Did you mean Unity view? Assuming that Yes, copy and paste, drag and drop, as well as the unit is supported by the VMware tools. It's probably VMware Tools is not installed inside Windows.

This article will show you how to install: Install VMware Tools on a VM of windows-based Fusion

Let me know if this helps.

  • Apple pictures film transfer

How can I quickly and effectively transfer video from my iPhone 6 + movies of the Finder folder?

The process I use now looks like this:

    1. connect the iPhone

    2 photos opens, download movies

3 select each movie and drag it to the desktop

The transfer speed is pitiful: 1.5 minute clip takes 3 minutes to transfer. Clearly, I'm doing something wrong. Can anyone help? (To me, it seems that it must be an invisible process: that anything with a .mov file extension is visible in the folder sequences.) If that were true, every time I downloaded the video of the iPhone apparently AUTOMATICALLY in the movies. "But somehow, this does not happen).

You can use a different application such as image capture, but movies shot on your iPhone are quite large and will take some time to transfer what ever app you use.
