Unwired or bad terminal
Hello
I'm not an expert in labview. I have prepared a labview VI and it is broken. When I try to launch it, then an error message appears "merge signals: contains terminal unwired or bad. Kindly help me to solve this error.
Thank you
Hello ramanlvm,
Try a double click on the error in the error window-it list will focus on the signals of fusion primitive function, it seems that you use to combine the signals in a single file. You see this error due to one of the basic concepts of LabVIEW - a function requires that all entries are available before it can run. The merger of the primitive function signals is currently sized to accept channels 16 or more, but only six is wired. Because the requirement of stream of all the 16 inputs can never be satisfied, the VI will not compile and run.
You must resize the function to not require that entries that you use. Click the lower part of the merging of signals feature and drag to resize.
I also recommend a look at the training tutorials online LabVIEW Core Self paced, you need to have access to with a current support contract.
Best regards

bad terminator in the Basler A504k CIM series
I'm talking about in series of LV to a Basler A504k via a NOR-1429th and, despite what says in the compatibility report and in this post, I perfectly managed, at least as long as I tried. A (still unpolished) example of my order that VI is attached (LV8.6.1), for the sake of anyone running in my same problems.
However, there is one thing that bothers me about the string terminator defined in the file of the camera. The original definition is
TermChars (\x06)
This is not correct. \x06 is the character of the acknowledgement of receipt sent by the camera to recognize the command sent by the host was correctly formed; the channels are normally end with ETX, i.e. \x03, while the camera can be answered by a single NAK, i.e. \x15, if the query string is incorrect. For this device, the command for a reading sequence is (when it is correct) STX-query - ETX-> ACK-STX-response-ETX, so if ACK is used as an indicator of end, the response to the reading of orders is always lost. At least, so much as "IMAQ Serial Read.vi" is used; given that the format of the camera control is strict, an alternative using 'IMAQ series Read Bytes.vi' and the exact number of characters to read would still be possible.
It was simple to change the TermChars to (\x03) entry in the file of the camera and with whom my VI essentially works, while the replay would not be with the bad terminator. The only whim so far I am aware, is that I seem to be able to set Timer1 and Timer2, settings that control the rate of time and part of the exhibition, but not to reread, contrary to what the manual says (the camera meets always 0).
Any comments on that?
Enrico
Correction to what I wrote just above - fixed read a number of bytes is required anyway, because the answer may contain binary camera the \x03 or whether in the data field. It was actually the reason why I couldn't read some specific areas, such as versions of firmware or the timer data.
A corrected version of my previous vi is attached. As for me, the problem is now resolved - this message in one concern for others in my situation.

How can I fix a node library to compose with a terminal unwired or bad?
I am currently working on a program that is designed to send and receive analog data to/from a BNC-2090. Somewhere along the line, LabVIEW has encountered a problem in the library node call the AO Channel.vi create. For this reason, most of the important Subvi no longer works. I have attached the file I'm working on that. How would I go about fixing this unusual problem?
The only reason that VI is broken me is because it lacks the matrixbreaker.vi.
I guess you some how edited your DAQmx screws and broken one. These screws must be edited and are part of the DAQmx driver. If you did it on accident, perform a repair of DAQmx installation.

: Name bundle terminal Unwired or bad
I don't know what I did wrong. They used to be orange and connected, but something happened and now they are black. Sorry for my lack of technical expertise, but I have no idea what's going on...
See the attached screenshots. Any help is GREATLY appreciated!

Hi nooks.
May I know what are the items (including the name), you have included in your cluster Drive control?
I'm sure that there are not these objects with these label names ((F) temperature, Latitude, Longitude error and status light Mode error) in the cluster.

LabVIEW 2016 NI_ReportGenerationToolkit error
I upgraded to Labview 2015-2016, but when you open one having previously worked for the project I now see an error in the NI_ReportGenerationToolkit.lvlib:Excel_Save_Workbook.vi.
He tells me that the invoke node contains terminal unwired or bad. However, it's a NOR provided VI and has not been changed between updates. Please let me know if it is a solvable issue.
Take a look at this thread.

Hello
I have a LV7.1 program that worked when ran on an old installation of LV7.1.
I installed Office XP and LV7.1 and you can open the program without any problem. After the opening I ctrl + shift + click on the run button to force the recompilation and the arrow becomes broken.
All the mistakes I found are the same: invoke node contains terminal unwired or bad.
Here is a screenshot of one of the erroneous block diagrams. I hope that the error is recognizable.
Only two issues I can think of are:
1. I'm running Windows 7 - maybe the ActiveX does not work the same way? I'm currently installing Windows XP to see if this corrects the problem.
2. perhaps, there was an Office toolkit or something used with LV7.1 to create this program? If so, any ideas on what it was and where I can get hold of it?
Thank you
Dave
I suppose that the node to invoke in the picture is the node throwing the error. Have you tried right-clicking on the refnum automation on the front panel control and a link to the ActiveX component. If this solves the problem, it's probably the version of changing object model.
Good luck!

Problems after editing a Subvi containing a group of dynamic user events
Hello
I like the dynamic events in graphical interfaces as a means of code reuse. But this can lead to recording a lot of dynamic events. To handle this, I have a Subvi, which saves them for me. A typical looks like this:
Can I use it something like this...
The first time I do it, it works really well and keeps my code (relatively) pad. The problem that I have met a few times is changing the Subvi. Suppose I have add a new event. Now my "Event Registration refnum' and 'User events' cluster outputs are broken. No problem: remove those, create new ones, bind them to the output terminals. Fine. Now go to the appellant. Maybe I again to clear some unwanted and rewire here and there due to type definitions. Cool, actually. Regard to the block diagram is, that everything will be OK at this stage; There is no broken wires. However, there always pesky errors saying "generate the user event: contains terminal unwired or bad.
It's obviously some kind of conflict def guy in a mask. I'll generally through the entire schema tearing wires, knots, generate screws of user event, event loops, cluster unbundlers, works. So I have this code all back in hand. This arrow always gray. I'm going to compile mass once or twice. Still a no-go. Make a new VI and copy the code in there. The same problem.
I have encountered this problem several times and don't think I've ever hit to the solution. Finally, I just go back to before the changes and give up.
Any idea what's going on? How to get it out?
Thank you
Nick
The error is because the Terminal event data are left not connected to generate the user event which is Terminal type required: https://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/371361H-01/glang/generate_user_event/

With the help of the mouse click to return the coordinates of the image.
Okay, so I tried to find a way to do it, and it seems very complicated for something that sounds really simple.
Anyway. I have a camera that updates an object image on the front panel using a while loop. I have another image object that is updated with a still image when you press the button "snap." Now what I want to do is to click on a point in the image that are broken and have the VI to return the coordinates of this pixel as part of coordinated image.
What I have so far is a structure of event in the while loop with the following to happen where "image object-> the mouse down:
Server reference (reference to the image object)-> property (last position of the mouse)-> output coordinated screen node.
I have two errors that don't make much sense to me (I have not worked with before event structures): ' event data node contains terminal unwired or bad "and"structure of the event one or several cases of event have no defined event. " This second shot seems odd because I don't actually want nothing to take if there is no click of a mouse. The first seems to refer to the box of the element on the left side of the structure of the event.
Above is my last attmpt to the trouble of sorting and as far as I can see it should work. whatever about the errors, I even take the right approach with that? I would have thought cordinates image would be quite common but seek advice here, it does not seem...
A bit puzzled here. Any help is very appreciated.
Hello RoBoTzRaWsUm,
I took a glance at your VI, who took a correct approach to the data you are looking for. As you structure to aid and the event, you should look for an event to occur. When you use a property node, you try to read an attribute of a control. However, in a Structure of the event, I think you should use a node to invoke. Allows a node to invoke your read an event or write a method with the control class in LabVIEW.
1. place down and call the node in the Palette of functions in "Programming"-> "Application Control".
2 wire your reference Image control to this
3. click on the method, and then select 'get a last event. "
4. right click on "Events that" and "create Constant. Do the constant '1' in the table
5. read the Cluster "Contact information" from the left side of the case of the event by clicking and "create indicator.
You will find a piece of code attached example.

Request failed to build on call Excel.Print report
Software development in LV2009 that uses Report Generation Toolkit for reading/writing Excel models. Program works well in development mode. AppBuilder crashes when the *.exe build when adding NIReport.lvclassReport.vi rint
Dig down, I find an arrow broken to running on the NI_Excel.lvclassReport.vi rint, as shown here:
According to the dialog box display errors, there is a terminal unwired or bad on the call print node; However I did not any changes to this expedition VI (that I know). I tried all unused cable entries (empty strings From, To, and ImprDsNomFichier; false Booleans for preview and PrintToFile, Collate) after I fell on the error, but who had no luck either. Also tried to insert conversions to varying for each input element, just in case there was a problem in the implicit data type conversion variant.
I also tried ctrl + Maj + compilation of all of the application execution, but this does not seem to get to the non-interrupted, either.
Someone has to meet this problem before? It's weird that it would break just like that - I had actually compiled this particular executable before, using a few still report Generation Toolkit screws that I use now. The only difference from the last generation, is that I replaced a Report.SaveAs function with a Report.Save function.
Also of note: I have included all report classes in my project and build specification to compile dependencies in making libraries supported in order to minimize the number of labview files included in the distribution of executable. This is probably why a mistake with the calls Report.vi to print hangs the same AppBuilder so I do not explicitly call that VI anywhere in my code.
EDIT: both pis. I solved the problem.
But in case someone else runs into the same issue, here is what I have done:
Change the Invoke node method. Then change it back. That's all. I don't know why he would spontaneously STB like this, but it seems that the change of the method to another thing and then return to refresh his memory.
It's always something...

Invoke the 'weird' wiring of node error
Community of greetings OR.
I know I've posted a lot about going I2C communications USB and now I'm set another controller in addition to the USB-8451, namely Dinah DLN-2 - http://www.diolan.com/products/dln2.html.
Now, basically, I'm trying to assemble my LabVIEW code that I wrote before working with Dinah and Dinah was invaluable - same level that NEITHER!
But I tried to run this code (attached), but I get a Terminal error unwired or bad to both call nodes (read and write - errors 2 - 1 for each) - but there is nothing to the thread to/from and the engineer of Dinah who helped me: his works very well (attached screeshot). This is exactly the same code, I just cleaned up a bit, mine but did not make changes.
Is there something that I need to activate on my end to my code runs?
Thank you!
TheLT
without the DLL it is difficult to say, but Im thinking the berries need will be allocated to the right size (table of initialization)
The nodes are thowing errors

excellent report generation does not close Excel
I use the excel Report Builder to save test reports. I can create the report using a template and writing if necessary without any problem. After each test step, I add data and save the report. I continue to Excel closed using the modification of the parameter of the State of the window. I don't want the user to see Excel or even know it is there.
The question is, when I'm done test and use features, report vi, it leaves an open excel instance that you see in the Task Manager. And the only way to close that instance is to open one of the files that was created and close it and then exit excel. The memory used by this instance develops a little every time that a new file is created.
LabVIEW 2011 SP1 (32-bit 11.0.1.F2)
Excel 2007
How can I close excel completely after each test?
You're just sorry. Attached is an improved version which works, but again not sure if there is a better way.
This will get the HWND before disposing of it, has it as usual, then given the HWND get PID (it was the bad terminal last time) and then kill based on that. It seems to work and I tested this time.

"Failed to read your feed. Result code bad http: 504 "
Recently, I restarted my show. ' oh indeed ' and I'm unable to know certain things. I downloaded a brief show on talkshoe.com as if I had years back and when you go to the application of Podcast or Itunes. You can download the program as long as your capital. But it will not be displayed in the search.
When I go on my podcasts connect page, it says "cannot play your stream. Result code bad http: 504 "
I don't know what is the issue. my RSS URL is http://recordings.talkshoe.com/rss93020.xml
Any ideas? Thank you.
As you say, the episode seems when you subscribe in iTunes, the iTunes Store is not show it again. I can access the food OK in FireFox and Terminal; It validates in FeedValidator but CastFeedValidator cannot read the stream even after 3 minutes. It is possible that the store can catch up later (it is may be slow because food has not been updated for four years) but there is no way to know about it.
All this points to your server not responding to certain types of application. When I tried in Podcasts connect he simply says that he was unable to read from the stream. You have a 504 error - this is a 'GateWay timeout '. This page says:
"A (not necessarily a Web server) server acts as a gateway or proxy to meet the demand of the client (e.g. your Web browser) to access the requested URL." This server has not received a response in due course to an upstream server, what it accessible to treat your HTTP request.
This means that the upstream server is down (not), rather than based on the upstream server and the gateway/proxy do not agree on the data exchange protocol.
Correction of errors of 504 - General
This problem is entirely due to the slow IP communication between the back-end computers, possibly with the Web server. Only people who have set up the network on the site that hosts the Web server can solve this problem. »
Your next step is to take it up with the people who run your server.

Could have been hacked. Guy got in the Terminal
Hello. Dear old dad, 81, called what he had thought was Netflix... it wasn't. My gut tells me that this is a fraudulent site. CreticWorld.com
The deal was this: the 'helper' find stuff very bad on the site of my father and offered to fix it for $400. I imagine that they are preparing to ask on his credit card to pay for it.
The "helper" had my father to connect through a kind of thing LOGMEIN.
There send my father.
I don't THINK that there ID apple of my father or master password for the computer.
I ran Malwarebites Anti Malware app... He found nothing.
There is no "updates" in the app store.
10.10.5 MacbookPro system
I will paste the report between the terminals below. In the end, he has a few scary phrases like
• Email compromised
• Worm found
• compromised network
But... There's a funky spelling.
1. advice? I am panic that my dad's computer is hacked, and they will get its passwords, bank accounts, credit cards, etc.
2. what would you do?
3. grateful for any advice.
Pasted below is the Terminal Server session. I don't know if it's true, if it is stuck in the terminal of dad to freak him out? You can if the Terminal Server Session is real? What this means? No idea if it is valid and hope a pro Terminal would give him a glance.

Wipe the HARD drive and reinstall the OS x. If you have the time Machine, you can reinstall everything using an installation date before the intrusion.
Change all passwords and connect with all financial institutions for new cards.
You must assume the worst to protect you.
Ciao.

When external drives safely in OS X Terminal diskutil command, one of my external hard drives through the fine, but the other who gets an error of e/s... of the Mac mini.
do this same thing of my Macbook Pro as a test using the same rules of the disk and the cable... Is is possible that the Mac Mini with two connected dives attempting to pull too much power at the same time?
Given that car zero - thin discs from another Mac, the reader looks in good condition... Are e/s just for most errors just make bad drives? These are the two WD element 2 TB USB 3 drives...
I've always had to replace at least one of them several times, so I don't why it is that while the other is never fails... then I fear, I may have another replacement... Maybe time to Seagate. I have backups so not worried about that.

IO errors are indicative of a bad drive. It is possible, if you reformat - losing all data, you can extend the life. If under warranty return it with a copy of your terminal error.

Strange Terminal at the launch of Spotlight
I get a Terminal strange when I search and launch from Spotlight:
(username redacted)
Launch of a second window in the menu of the first give a normal.
Even if I launch Applications directly.
Searches the string or dylib gives hits on potential malware, but I don't think that has any sense since I don't have any strange behavior if not (that I noticed at least).
I include a diagnosis as I understand is recommended by Linc Davis.
All help appriciated!
